Chapter 14
Ren's Drive
The ride to The Fortune Cup Stadium was mostly filled with silence as Ben is leaning slightly on the car's window. However the silence is interrupted as Ben's phone begins to ring. Not bothering to check who is calling, Ben picks the call.
"Hello?"
"Ben, where are you." Misty's voice sounds through Ben's phone
"I'm still with Ren. We're going to get my Runner from the stadium. Did something happen?" Ben asked
"You remember that Reporter we met. Carly." Misty said
"Yes."
"Well, she came to see me not too long ago asking about your Mark and the Arcadia Movement. I told her not to get involved with the Movement, but I have a feeling that she won't listen." Misty said
"When did she leave?" Ben asked straightening himself, an act that didn't go unnoticed by Ren
"About an hour ago." Misty said
"Thanks for letting me know. I'll be heading there now." Ben said
"I know I can't stop you from going, but I want you to be careful." Misty said
"I will." Ben reassured her before hanging up. "Ren, change of plans, we're going to the Arcadia Movement building."
"Did something happen?" Ren asked turning his car
"Carly is probably there." Ben said as Ren began speeding up
"Well shit. Guess making a new Duel Disk really ate our time. Where's the building?" Ren asked
"Here." Ben said bringing up a map from his phone. "I want you to stay outside when we get there. If we're right, the van Bommer is being held in will pass that area, along with Demak."
"Want me to deal with Demak if I see him?" Ren asked causing Ben to think for a moment before answering
"Yes."
Arcadia Movement Headquarter
Stepping out of Ren's car, Ben begins sprinting into the building. Ben was about to use the stairs, when suddenly the elevator opened revealing Akiza and Ruka.
"Ben." Ruka called after noticing him
"Hey." Ben greeted
"Ben, what are you doing here? We weren't expecting you today." Akiza said
"No time to explain. What floor is Sayers office?" Ben asked
"Floor 32 but-"
"Floor 32? What is this Empire States building!" Ben mentally complained. "Thanks Akiza, I'll talk to you later." He said rushing into the elevator before inputting some numbers. Just before the elevator can close, Akiza and Ruka rush inside with him
"Why don't we talk now?" Akiza said as the elevator closed up
"I was not expecting you to rush in like that." Ben said
"Neither was I expecting you to come here today. What happened?" Akiza said
After staying silent for a while Ben finally spoke. "Precognitive vision."
"What?" Akiza and Ruka asked
"I have this ability that let's me glimpse the future temporarily." He lied
"Wow." Akiza said
"Well it only works when it involves this Mark." Ben said pointing to his shoulder
"That's right, I never got the chance to ask you about your Mark. So you're also a Signer?" Akiza asked
"Dark Signer, or evil Signer." Ben corrected
"You don't seem evil." Ruka pointed out
"That's because I'm something of a wild card to the rules." Ben said
"What type of vision did you have?" Akiza asked
"I saw Sayer kill someone." Ben said causing Ruka to gasp
"That's…Sayer would never." Akiza said
"What if he did?" Ben asked causing Akiza to stay quite
"Was it Rua?" Ruka asked with a worried expression
"There's only one way to find out." Ben said wanting to stay vague
"What if your vision is wrong?" Akiza asked
"Well, considering it involves another Dark Signer mark forming, that seems unlikely as Dark Signers are born when they die." Ben said
"But you're alive." Ruka said
"Rex Goodwin believes that I died once and came back as a Dark Signer." Ben said
"And you believe him?" Akiza asked
"Well considering the fact I basically don't have any memory of my past, that says a lot." Ben said
"You don't remember your past?" Akiza asked
"No." Just then the elevator door open causing them to step out
"Ruka, wait here." Akiza told the younger girl
"But-"
"It's for the best." Ben said causing her to nod reluctantly.
"Here, he'll keep you company." Ben said causing Resonator to manifest physically beside Ruka
"That was nice of you." Akiza said as she and Ben began approaching Sayers office
"Ccapac, Ccarayhua. You guys sense anything." Ben asked getting close to the office
"She is near." Ccarayhua said
Outside
Ren is leaning on his car as he is continuously checking the time on his watch. Looking up to the sky, he noticed Dark clouds are beginning to gather.
"You better hurry up Ben." Ren thought as suddenly four Sector Security Vans began passing the area. "Guess I'm up." Ren said standing in the middle of the road. Seeing the the Vans stop in their track as one Officer steps out.
"Hey, what do you think you're doing. Get out of the road." The Officer said
"Sorry man, I think I'm drunk." Ren said scratching his head
"You want to get arrested that bad? In that case-" The Officer wasn't able to finish his statement as suddenly a massive earthquake started to happen. Two purple pillars of light erupt from the ground. The pillars tear through the city streets, ripping up roads and tossing impeding cars aside, leaving a trail of purple light.
Inside Tanner and Yanagi's cell, Tanner beats against the door as the room shakes. The earthquake causes two overhanging lights to smash off each other, filling the room with falling shards of glass.
The sky teems with lightning as the purple light finishes describing the shape of the Hummingbird, Nazca Line throughout the city, with the Arcadia Movement building as a focal point.
As the earthquake continues, Ren decides to take matters into his hand as he attacks the Officer knocking him out. As other officers rush out, they're unable to steady themselves due to the earthquake. Using this to his advantage, Ren begins to take down the officers one by one. With his job done, he takes out the key of one of the unconscious Officers. Walking towards the back of the first van, Ren opens it and sees a handcuffed Bommer.
"Bommer I presume?" Ren asked
"Who are you?" Bommer asked
"No time to explain." Ren said as he starts taking off Bommer's handcuff
"Wait, you're Ren Kaiba!" Bommer said after getting a closer look at Ren
"I'm honoured you recognize me." Ren said finally done with the cuffs. "Come on let's get out of here."
As they both leave the van, Ren starts leading Bommer towards his car but stops as he notices Demak Infront of his car.
"I'm afraid I cannot let you take him. The Earthbound have chosen him." Demak said
"Earthbound? You're a Dark Signer." Bommer realizes
"Sorry man, but I'm not letting you take him." Ren said activating his Duel Disk
"Then you shall die." Demak said activating his as well.
Sayer's Office
"You won't get away with this.
Sector security will come looking for Carly Carmine." A bruised up Carly says as she is embedded to a window
"Of course they will and you'll become another missing person, one more cold case. Sector security can't touch us, not as long as I know the truth about Goodwin." Sayer said
"And what truth would that be?"
"Everyone in this town just loves Goodwin. He's an honest leader, a model citizen, New domino city's favorite son. But he has a secret.
Director goodwin is from the satellite sector. And that, my dear, is the least of his secrets." Sayer said
"I wonder what else he's hiding?" Carly asked
"Night-night, little mouse. Go, Psychic commander!" Sayer said as his monster blasted Carly out of the window
"Aaaaahhhh!" Carly yelled as she fell. But while this happened, both Akiza and Ben had already entered the room to see Carly get blasted.
"No!" Akiza gasped but Ben had other plans as he ran forward placing a monster on his Duel Disk
"Grapha!" He yelled as his Monster flew out of the window to catch Carly
"What's this?" Sayer asked in shock
"Sayer, what have you done?" Akiza asked in shock
"Akiza, this isn't what you think." Sayer tried to defend himself. In that moment, Grapha flew back into the building with an unconscious Carly. Placing his finger over her neck, Ben was able to feel her pulse
"She's still alive." Ben signed in relief. "Thanks Grapha."
"Think nothing of it." Grapha said before fading as Akiza rushes over to help Carly
"Is she…?" Akiza tried to ask
"She's alive. Get her out of here." Ben said as he stood to face Sayer, while his Marks glowed. Nodding reluctantly, Akiza carry's Carly out of the room.
"Officer Ben, this is just a misunderstanding-"
"Eat shit. You really think I'm going to buy your bullshit." Ben growled
"She's here." Ccapac said and in that moment the Duel Spirit of Aslla Piscu appeared, but was only visible to Ben
"You dare deprive me of a host!" Aslla Piscu said flapping her wings
"I'm offering you a better host, me." Ben said
"You already have an Earthbound." Aslla Piscu said
"I have two, but you can make it three." Ben said as Aslla Piscu appeared to be thinking for a moment
"Very well." Aslla Piscu said as she transformed into a card landing on Ben's hand. In that moment a Bird Signer mark appeared below his lizard mark. As this happened, Ben suddenly exploded with Dark energy knocking Sayer back slightly as an earthquake began to happen.
"This hurt more than the last time." Ben thought gritting his teeth in pain
As the pain ended, Ben is standing before Sayer with all his Signer Marks glowing along with his eyes, which now has a purple glow. Seeing this, Sayer tried to run out of the office, but suddenly, a ring of dark energy surrounds him and Ben.
"You not going anywhere." Ben said activating his Duel Disk
"Very well." Sayer said gritting his teeth at his predicament

"I'll draw. I'll summon Psychic Commander in attack mode." Sayer said
Psychic Commander (1400Atk/800Def/Lvl3/Earth/Psychic)
"I'll place two facedowns and end my turn."
Turn:2
"I'll draw, I'll play Dark World Dealings to discard and draw a card. " Ben said without looking at the card he drew. "I'll activate the field spell The Gate of Dark World. Now I'll activate Monster Reborn to summon the monster I just discarded. Come forth, Earthbound Immortal Aslla Piscu."
"Where's your monster?" Sayer asked as he did not see any monster on Ben's field
"Take a wild guess." Ben said as Sayer slowly looked outside the window in horror as he sees the Massive Earthbound Bird

"Aslla Piscu, attack his life points directly." Ben ordered as Aslla released a powerful gust of wind that knocked Sayer to the wall forming a human size crater which resulted in the Arcadia leader coughing up blood.

"I'll place one facedown and end my turn." Ben said
Turn:3
"I'll draw. I'll reveal my facedown card, Premature Burial, by pay 800 life points I can special summon a monster from my graveyard." Sayer mutters
Sayer:700
"I activate Compulsory Evacuation Device to return Aslla Piscu to my hand." Ben simply said
"Why would you do that?" Sayer asked confused
"Here's the thing, once Aslla is removed from the field by an effect besides her own, I can destroy all monsters you control and inflict 800 damage for each monster." Ben said
"No!" Sayer gasped
"Don't worry, as much as I want to kill you, I'm afraid that honour belongs to Misty." Ben said as Aslla activates her effect knocking out Sayer

Turning back to normal, Ben looks at the unconscious Sayer before entering his secret room to retrieve his documents.

"I'll summon Berserk Gorilla in attack mode and end my turn." Demak said

"I'll draw." Just as Ren drew, the glyph around the city disappeared
"Looks like he's done." Ren thought. "It was fun meeting you, but I'm kinda in a hurry. I'll special summon Blue Eyes Alternative White Dragon by revealing Blue Eyes from my hand."
Blue Eyes A. White Dragon (3000Atk/2500/Lvl8/Light/Dragon)
"I'll now use he's effect to destroy your monster. Now I'll chain my effect with the Quick play spell, Ultimate Fusion to return Alternative White Dragon and two Blue Eyes in my hand to fusion summon Neo Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon." Ren said destroying Demak's monster
"No!" Demak yelled in horror
Neo Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon (4500Atk/3800Def/Lvl12/Light/Dragon)
"Amazing." Bommer muttered
"Now Neo, attack his life points directly." Ren said as his Dragon attacked forcing Demak to his knees
Demak:0
With his defeating Demak began to fade.
"You may have defeated me, but the Dark Signers will reign supreme!" Demak yelled as he disappeared causing a card to fall to the ground. Noticing this, Ren walks over to pick the card
"Ancient Fairy Dragon, nice." Ren thought as he pocketed the card
"That was amazing." Bommer said approaching Ren
"We should go, Ben is probably waiting for us." Ren said
"Ben, as in Sector Security Ben?" Bommer asked
"Who do you think persuaded me to free you?" Ren joked as they started approaching the slightly damaged Arcadia building.
