DISCLAIMER: The Tekken series under the property of Bandai Namco and Project Tekken. Action Taimanin, and the Taimanin Series belongs to Gremory Games and Lilith Soft.

I'm currently on hiatus with Gundam SEED Paradox as I'm pre-occupied managing my YouTube content, as I'm recently doing Action Taimanin content since early January. Just in time with the launch of Tekken 8.

This story is basically a crossover of Tekken with Action Taimanin, and a retelling of Tekken 8's story mode. The continuity is basically set on Action Taimanin's timeline, merging with the timeline of the Tekken series. This story is basically where the Taimanin universe has its own King of Iron Fist Tournament, and the Tekken characters appearing here follow their canon counterparts. Also, for those who haven't played Tekken 8 yet, as well all the Tekken games preceding it and Action Taimanin's Main Quest, there will be spoilers.

Here's the first chapter of Devil Factor

Chapter 01: Pitch-Black Wings

Tokyo Kingdom...

This town looks peaceful at first glance but is actually a safe haven for organized crime and illegal activities. The Nomad mostly control this place, but with its boss Edwin Black defeated by the Taimanins, the city has completely fell into disarray.

However, something that stood out drew the attention of local gangs and a certain woman with a red hair and red dress observing the ensuing chaos. A demonic man with pitch-black wings managed to slaughter many of the thugs, leaving behind a trail of blood and death, laughing jubilantly as he relished at the violence.

"Huhuhu... Is this what I think it is?", the woman chuckled, who appears to be turned on by the devilman's rampage. "So this is the power of the Devil Gene."

The woman, Astraoth, the Queen of Inferno took interest on this demonic creature, but notices that he's part human. She even saw the lightning tattoo on the man's left bicep, which she confirms the mark of the devil.

"So this is your handiwork, Jin Kazama?", Astaroth confronts Jin in his devil form.

"Yeah, what of it?", (Devil) Jin smugly replies with a chuckle, and sensing Astaroth's demonic powers before him, it seems that other demons want the Devil Gene for themselves. Jin is not the only one who has the Devil Gene, he actually inherited it from his father, Kazuya Mishima, the CEO of G Corporation.

Astaroth desires to absorb the Devil Gene from Jin, and wants to see the extent of its power. She even saw how Kazuya used his demonic powers in its zenith to overpower his father Heihachi before killing him.

"You possess such power, yet you allow yourself to indulge in such wanton violence.", Astaroth continued.

"If you want to take it by force, then entertain me woman!", Devil Jin quickly wastes no time as he fires a laser from his forehead, the beam manages to burn into Astaroth's skin in her shoulders. The Queen of Inferno is unfazed.

"My, my... Naughty boy.", Astaroth playfully teases Devil Jin as the two demonic beings fight.

Devil Jin makes a pre-emptive strike as he throws a four-hit left right combo to a backfist, he then hits Astaroth with a left side kick followed by a right axe kick, a right low kick, and another low kick with the left leg, a right reverse hand roundhouse punch, and finally he spins in a clockwise spiral and hits the Queen with a powerful leaping left-handed uppercut to the chin, throwing Astaroth into the air.

However, Astaroth manages to recover after being flung from the Lightning Uppercut. Devil Jin then flies and the two take their battle into the sky. The Queen of Inferno manages to turn the tables, but Devil Jin proved to be resilient. Despite the overwhelming powers of his Devil Gene, Jin's Devil form still has its limits, especially if Jin himself manages to regain control.

As soon Jin regains control of his Devil form, he has no idea that he's fighting one of the most powerful demons to ever exist in the demon realm. Though he was able to hold off Astaroth thanks to making the pre-emptive strike earlier, her pyrokinesis is overwhelmingly powerful, that her flames are just as powerful than his and even Kazuya's devil beam.

"This woman is a demon!?", Jin exclaimed as Astaroth has him on the ropes.

"Teehee... It seems to me you've regained your sanity, boy.", Astaroth said, looking rather disappointed after seeing Jin regaining his senses, yet he is now at his limit. "Is this the best you can do with your power?"

Jin knows he's still a wanted man, not because of his atrocities while leader of the Mishima Zaibatsu. But demons of other species are drawn to his Devil Gene, to the point that they want to seek out his devil powers. Astaroth sends out her fire bunnies called Yuuto to overwhelm Jin, while he's in his partial devil form, causing an explosion that sends Jin flying and thrown into the forest.

In a forest in Gosha, junior Taimanins Hebiko and Shikanosuke are chasing the two troublemaking demons Lilim, a succubus, and Minasaki, a Yatagarsu. Shikanosuke just found himself a victim of another prank by the mischievous duo, and Hebiko just got roped into the ensuing mayhem. An explosion caused the demonic troublemakers to quickly elude their pursuers.

"Darn... We lost them!", Shikanosuke rambled in frustration. "Seriously, those two..."

"Shika-chan, just forget about them. And let's go check out where did that explosion come from."

The two head to where the "explosion" took place, only to find a man unconscious. Shikanosuke and Hebiko quickly examine the man, from his muscular build, black hair that spikes at the back of his head, and a lightning-shaped tattoo. They have no idea who the man is, if anything, the pair need to take him into a safe place to nurse him back to health.

Shikanosuke contacts his cousin Rin to help carry the unconscious stranger. As soon as Rin arrives, she recognizes the man.

Meanwhile at the Uehara home, Jin is seen sleeping on the bed while Hebiko is checking on his wounds. Shikanosuke asks his cousin Rin about knowing the man.

"Cousin Rin, do you know this guy?", the Uehara heir asked.

"It's complicated.", Rin can only reply as such, confirming that she at one point had a history with Jin. "Other than the fact that he is indeed Jin Kazama, there's many questions about him that everyone wants to know."

"This guy is Jin Kazama? The same guy who once led the Mishima Zaibatsu?"

"Yes. But, Heihachi Mishima regained power, and soon went missing.", Rin continued. "We better contact the headmistress. There's many things that we want to learn from him."

Since Rin is affiliated with the Taimanin Task Force, it would make sense to gather Fuuma and the other higher ups so they can interrogate Jin.

The following day, in Gosha Academy's faculty room; Headmistress Asagi Igawa gathered the higher-ups of the Taimanin Task Force, including Kotaro Fuuma, the team's commanding officer.

"Unbelievable... Miss Uehara. How did you bring this man into Gosha?", Murasaki clarifies how Shikanosuke and Hebiko encountered Jin in the forest.

"(Jin Kazama... The man who was once the head of the Mishima Zaibatsu and started a war...)", Fuuma overhears the knowledge of Jin.

"My apologies, headmistress. This was far from my control, nor Shikanosuke's. He only stumbled into the unconscious Jin Kazama in the forest while he and Hebiko are chasing after the demon duo of Lilim and Minasaki.", Rin bowed as she explained the commotion. "But, I know him. We were once sparring partners when I was in my musha shugyo."

"Miss Rin, you know this guy?", Fuuma asked.

"Yeah. He's a man with few words. I also trained in the same karate dojo as him in Australia."

"I see. But, for now. We need to extract a few questions from him.", Asagi asserts that Jin needs to be interrogated, not because of his notoriety with his time with the Mishima Zaibatsu. Because, the Taimanins know that he also possess a demonic power - the Devil Gene.

After leaving the faculty room, Fuuma receives an email from Kurenai about an Inferno Demon fighting a black-winged devil man in Tokyo Kingdom, no less. She is talking about Astaroth fighting Devil Jin, and the latter left behind a trail of blood and bodies of local criminals.

"(No way... could that be Jin Kazama's handiwork?)", Fuuma is talking to himself. "(If the rumors about him having the Devil Gene is true, that means there's something must be done about him. When I first saw the man in the interrogation room in the HQ, this is not the same man who plunged the world into World War III. He's but a shadow of his former self, trying to find a place to die.)"

Author's Note:

-Shikanosuke lives with Rin.

-Rin actually knows Jin.

-"Musha shugyo" means warrior's pilgrimage. This is a common tradition for samurais (and even martial artists in the modern era), allowing them to travel around the world training and finding jobs, while searching for a lord to work for.

-Rin references the karate dojo Jin trained in Tekken 4 where he mastered his Kyokushin Karate. Meaning, Rin has her own style of Kyokushin Karate in this story.
