284 AC Kings Landing Cersei Lannister II

"I won't marry him Jamie, I won't! That, that northern beast! I don't care what father says… let's run away to Braavos, or Pentos, anywhere! You can become a sell sword, we can get married! Finally be free of this place!"

"Cersei, you are not thinking straight, we would be caught in days, it's not like we could hide? And if we had to hide, what would we do for coin? The only thing can do is fight, that's all I know, a blonde sell sword from Westeros, we'd be found out in no time!"

"No Jamie, no, you are my other half, my perfect twin, I could not live without you Jamie, I'd die if I was separated from you, if I knew you were with another woman, I could not live Jamie!" she sobbed, throwing herself into Jamie's arms.

Thankfully they were in a secluded spot that Jamie knew of and they would not be disturbed, nor could they be overheard or seen in this little hideaway in one of the tower in the outer walls overlooking Blackwater Bay, far below them the sounds of the sea breaking against the rocks was muted, a dull roar.

Cersei sobbed, snuggling into Jamie's embrace, she was terrified, she could not lose Jamie, her perfect twin, the only person who she loved, who she was capable of loving. All her life Jamie had been there, to protect her, to support her, to be at her beck and call if she needed him. And yes to be in her, thrusting away to join their perfect bodies in a perfect union. There was no other man possible for her, and damm her father to the Seven Hells.

"You, you must fight him Jamie, find some excuse, some insult, or I will find it, I'll make him hit me, he's little better than a savage, it should be easy to get him angry enough. And then you kill him Jamie, kill him dead!"

"You know I might not be able to do that Cersei, Stark is a warrior, a killer who has lead armies, who has tasted death and bloodshed, I'm a glorified Gold Cloak…."

"Jamie! How can you say that? Everyone knows you are one of greatest knights of Westeros, you could defeat that heathen with one arm tied behind your back!"

"And what if I don't, what if he kills me, or even worse Cersei, what if I kill him what then?"

"How could you killing Ned Stark be worse than him killing you?" Cersei shrieked, hugging Jamie fiercely, what was wrong with Jamie, her perfect knight and lover, why could he not see that killing Ned Stark was the only way to save their love?

"Because the North would demand vengeance, I'd likely end up at the Wall, which if you remember is in the North? And even if they did not, father would never let us be together, we've always had to keep this a secret, nobody could know of it, nobody would understand….."

"This is our chance Jamie, our only chance; we must flee then, today, tonight, as soon as possible. I've got jewels I could sell, and some Gold Dragons that would book us passage on a ship away from here. Forget killing Ned Stark, let's just run away!"

"Do you think for one second father would not spend his last gold Dragon to find us Cersei? You hear what he said, he does not see us as his children, we are just pieces to be moved on a board, for the advantage of House Lannister!"

"All the more reason to flee Jamie, please, I cannot live without you, I, I will kill myself rather than submit to that Stark monster! I swear it Jamie, if you don't run away with me this minute I will kill myself, my blood will be on your hands!"

"Cersei, stop this nonsense, do you think we could carry on like this forever? We are not children sneaking away from Aunt Genna to steal a few kisses…."

"More than a few kisses" she replied as she sat up and began to pull at Jamie's clothes, a familiar heat spreading between her thighs.

"Stop Cersei" said Jamie, but she did not stop, until he grabbed her hands and held them in his own, strong calloused hands. They were smaller than the hands of the Stark a part of her brain idly noted, and they did not leave fires racing up her nerves like the Stark's touch had.

"Cersei, think, please think for a second. What if you had been married to Robert Baratheon like father wanted you to be, or Rhaegar Targaryen. Would we have still been together then?"

"Yes of course we would, that was why you joined the Kingsgurad in the first place, so that no matter what, we could be together!" she announced, surprised that Jamie was even asking this question.

"But what if we had children, what then, would you have passed them off as children of the King, whoever he was?"

"Yes, of course I would, and enjoyed knowing that a child that they thought was theirs was one of ours!" She tried to free her hands from Jamie's grip, she wanted him, she wanted him inside her now, all this talk of golden babies and cuckolding Kings was making her aroused. She ground her groin against Jamie's, delighted to see that she was having an effect, feeling his pillar swell and grow. She gave her twin a mischievous grin and wriggled some more.

"Gah! Cersei stop that, stop it!" Jamie levered her off him and swung her away from him, she gasped in surprise and a little pain as she swung from her trapped wrists before Jamie set her down on the ground.

"Enough Cersei! Enough with this talk of killing Ned Stark, of killing yourself! ¡Suficiente! This may mean nothing to you, but what Ned Stark said to me that day in the Throne Room means something Cersei, he looked at me as saw what I had done as a confirmation of my vows, not as a betrayal of them. Do you know what it was like to stand guard outside Aery's chambers night after night and listen to him rape his sister wife, listen to her pleading and sobbing for him to stop, for him not to hurt her? And to just stand there and do nothing, nothing! The mad king was going to kill us all, me, father and all the rest in Kings Landing in a crazy attempt to become a dragon. He was the King and he cared nothing for any of his subjects, not his wife, not his children, not his sons children, he cared for nobody and was happy to see us all burn. That's why I killed him Cersei, and Ned Stark saw this, when nobody else did. He was the one who saved us all from the hundreds of gallons of wildfire that Aerys secreted all over Kings Landing. He was the one who saw a way to free from my vows as a Kingsguard, which were a prison aimed at hurting father, and which were not some fantasy for us to be together forever Cersei!"

Tears were streaming down her face, she knew that this was the end, behind her she could hear the call of the sea, a few short steps, a jump, a quick fall and it would all be over.

"Ser Jaime?" Came a voice; she recognised it as that of Barriston Selmy.

"Yes Ser Barriston?" replied Jamie.

"Your father requires your sister's presence immediately."

Before she could move an inch she felt Jamie's hand clamp down on her arm "No Cersei, this is not how it ends. Don't do anything stupid!"

"One moment Ser Barriston, my sister will be out promptly."

"Jamie" she sobbed "but what will become of us….."

"We will get on with our lives Cersei; some things are just for childhood, to be grown out of."
