Chapter 17: War of the worlds
Earth 9117
The blinds to his apartment opened and he looked upon the planet, his planet and home. Ever since the great crisis, one company had absorbed the financial and scientific assets of every major company in the world. When Kord technologies, Luthor corp. and even the Queen-Smoak conglomerate was destroyed, Wayne worldwide picked up the pieces. His father had spent the last few years of his life helping the world rebuild, whilst eliminating the last pockets of crime from Gotham as the city's district attorney. In the end Bruce Wayne had died peacefully in his bed, the way his parents wanted, passing on his family's company to someone who was only considered family by blood and not bond. Damian Wayne didn't feel like the son of philanthropist Bruce Wayne, the bald, scarred man had poured his company's resources into ensuring his world could survive any alien attack. But something was coming even he knew would be too much for the Earth to handle, perhaps too much for even the JLW to stop.
"Everything dies," a voice said behind him.
He turned, embraced by his lover and mentor, the beautiful assassin Rose Wilson. She kissed him on the lips, leaning against his chest as he joined him in looking out at space. Taking over the world was easy, because the league of assassins, together with Wayne worldwide were able to convince the world that they were the good guys. Their enforcers dressed in colourful costumes, but it didn't make them any less evil than the man Damian took over after. Even as the new Ra's Al Ghul Damian had to turn to outside help to rally the easier to control members of the super hero community. He looked out at such outside help, a man whom floated over the orbit of the planet like a watchful protector, though Damian considered him more to be the gun he held to the world's head.
"The Amazons are dead, Zatanna is dead, the Metal men, the Legion of Freedom, even Moira Queen's little resistance movement, she'll be awaiting execution ironically in front of her father's tribute statue," Rose explained, rubbing Damian's bare shoulders.
She enjoyed her work, she loved Damian and the league of assassins and even playing hero as the field leader of the Justice League worldwide. Damian slipped out of her grip and walked to his black and grey uniform. He began to dress, saying nothing to his lover.
"It's only a matter of time before we find Atlantis, before we find where the rest of the malcontents are hiding, it's only a matter of time before they die Damian."
She kissed his shoulders and even tried to kiss him as he put on his cowl. He simply turned away, putting on his coat and walking into the meeting room. The Watchtower satellite served as the headquarters and gathering place of the people behind the JLW, the League of Assassins. At the head of a long table sat Damian's chief advisor, though he knew she thought of herself as leader in all but name.
"Nice of you to finally join us son," Talia Al Ghul had maintained her youth and beauty with repeated dips in the Lazarus pit.
Damian remained silent, he didn't even take a seat. The hooded men and woman at the table looked at him as he walked to the observation window. Again he looked out at the Earth and began to think of how fragile it was. His lover had been right, everything dies, everything has an end even his reign would end because of time. He regarded his calculations and the calculations of other scientific minds like Grodd, Silas Stone and Boss Terrific, as well as the visions recounted to him by Mistress Fate. Their world was facing its greatest threat since Highfather invaded. Instead of wallowing in despair as the rest of the world would do, instead of debating, Damian Wayne would fix his world's problems, by eliminating all those who stood in his way.
"Forgive me," he said as he removed a batarang from his pocket.
Talia widened her eyes as her son threw the Batarang, it circled around the table and returned to her son's hand. She felt her throat and gasped as a slit appeared across it. Blood sprayed across the table as soon as Damian caught the blade. He walked around the table towards his mother's spot, watching her breath her last breath. The others were obviously gone, but Damian wasn't willing to chance it with his mother. He slid the blade through her back and into her heart for good measure. Respectfully placing the body on the ground, Damian pulled up the chair and sat, linking his fingers together as his allies resumed their places at the table. His lover, Ravager, Rose wore a blue and grey suit with grey shoulder pads and armour on her shins and wrists, a pair of swords were strapped to her back and she concealed the top half of her face with a blue and grey mask.
"Everything dies, that's what happens if you are not ruthless, if you allow weakness to flourish, my father was weak and allowed evil to fester within his city, and that evil spread across the entire world, even my grandfather's approach was foolish, destroying the world to save it? That is both insane and counterproductive, why push the world down the right path when you can frighten people into it, the peace we can bring about is the only option for this Earth, and we are this Earth's only hope of surviving what is to come," Damian explained.
"What do you mean Wayne?" one of his allies asked.
"Exactly what I said Blizzard," Damian said. "An incursion event will soon happen, a collision of worlds, the end of two universes," he explained.
He refused to allow the blind naiveté of the heroes of Earth 7119 to jeopardise his world. So he looked at his allies, his League. They included the speedster Iris Snart, the dark skinned woman wore a blue suit with white fur across her arms and legs, she wore a blue cowl with a pair of clear white goggles. She went by the name Blizzard because of the effect her speed gave off, if created an actual blizzard like wind, as a result of the tragic cold fusion explosion that gave her meta human powers. Next to her sat Diana Prince, otherwise known as Cheetah, once she had been an Amazon and an icon as Wonder Woman. However when she sought to use an Amazon dagger as he signature weapon, she cut herself on it. That single scratch turned her into the mad goddess of the hunt, the Cheetah. She abandoned her Amazon crown and breast plate, yet kept the bracelets and lasso. Following Cheetah was Atomic-Storm, the combined Allen Adam and physics prodigy Martin Stein, a sixteen year old boy. Appearing in Allen's body, the combination hero wore a gold body suit with red gloves, a belt, boots, an atomic symbol on his chest and a cowl that left his mouth and white eyes exposed, as well as his fiery hair. To cover the magic side of the league was Red Adam, secretly an eighty year old man called Bill Batson, when he spoke the name Shazam he was turned into an eighteen year old man wearing a red suit with a glowing lightning bolt on his chest and gold armoured gauntlets and boots. Another magic user was of course the one who came to Damian with news of the Incursion, Mistress Fate, the Greek sorceress Circe wore her traditional black and gold outfit along with the helmet of Fate. Even aliens would fight the threat to this Earth, including the White Martian Manhunter T'omm B'onzz, the one eyed Thanagarian war lord Hro Talek and the Yellow Lantern Abin Sur, whom despite being recalled by his superiors the Mongers chose to stay and settle the disputes of his sector. Ordinary men too had long came to answer Damian's call, including Deadshot the assassin, the crime lord Michael Holt AKA Boss Terrific and the inventor Ted Garret, who used a specialised harness based on a Beetle's hide.
"Make no mistake my friends, we face the end of everything," Wayne said. "There is no room for mercy or weakness!"
As Damian plotted to 'save' his world, another simply watched and listened. Kal-El floated over the Earth, his home, until just recently his father had taught him not to interfere with the Earth. From the moment he was born, Kal knew that he was different, he could hear the world around him, see in different spectrums and possessed incredible levels of strength. His father told him he had the strength to shatter the planet, which was why they lived in the farming lands of Smallville. There Kal grew up sheltered and trained by his father, whom taught him never to give up hope that humanity could become great. But after experimenting with green rocks, in an attempt to reduce his son's power level, Jor-El was killed by the radiation. He left Kal in the care of his only friends the Kents and the keys to a fortress in the Antarctic. It had been a year since Kal discovered the truth, that he and his father were refugees from the destroyed Planet Krypton. Recordings of his father revealed to Kal that their species had destroyed one another, though the full details were lost due to the corruption of the fortress's data. All Kal-El knew was that he was truly an outsider, the only remnant of his home world were the things his father left behind. He had been left with a projector to a place called the Light Zone, a crystal fortress and a suit that he now wore. It was an odd red outfit that had blue pants over the trousers and a belt, the uniform also had a blue cloak on the shoulders and blue boots and most iconic of all was the shield emblem on the chest. The shield had a black background with a blue S on it. According to the computer it was the Kryptonian symbol for hope.
"But what hope is there for humanity when cruelty is their best way to save their world father?" Kal-El wondered.
Earth 7119
Despite Reed's declaration, S.H.I.E.L.D. was still preparing for war. Reed looked out of the observation deck to see troopers and costumed heroes preparing aircraft. Silver Sable shared a passionate kiss with her lover Spider-man before he parachuted down to the city. Reed could see the slight tears in Silver's eyes, she wanted more than anything to be with the man she loved in what very well could be the last moments of the planet. But Reed had composed a plan and he needed Sable to do her part with Widow and Wisdom, in case Reed's calculations were wrong, in case god help them they needed to do the worst. Illyana bid her brother goodbye before she walked onto the aircraft with Wisdom. The visor of Piotr's helmet slid over his face, his life like Titanium man suit was fully active.
"We're to go over the plan again Iron Patriot," Reed said as he turned to his greatest hope.
"I've been over this plan hundreds of times Reed and I'm still not completely sure about it," Patriot said.
"I know you'd rather be out there Steve but I'm afraid peaceful negotiation isn't an option, the protectors of that world will be coming down on ours with everything they've got, they intend to destroy our planet," Reed explained.
"And what do you intend to do?" Steve asked.
"What do you mean?"
"I wasn't born yesterday Reed, I've lived through the moral decline of this country, I know you didn't team Sable, Widow and Wisdom together to 'scout the planet'," Steve explained.
"Fine, I hope Steve, but this is such a desperate time that I wonder if we can leave it all to hope? Can we leave it all to hope Cap?" Reed asked.
Iron Patriot crossed his arms together and turned away from Reed.
"I don't go by that name anymore, and you're right Reed, we can't leave it to hope," Steve said as he walked away from the director.
Reed rested his head against the observation window, the colour drained from his face. He had hoped that of all people Steve Rogers would be the one to inspire hope. But it seemed that all that was left of Captain America was the tactical mind, the patriot inside him and not the hero. As Steve walked down the corridors of the Helicarrier he came across his partner Bucky and former nemesis White Skull.
"It's a sad thing when our greatest hero gives up hope," Skull said.
"I'm not a hero, just what was left of him, his guts and brain put into a cyborg shell," Iron Patriot said.
"I don't believe that for a moment Steve, I still think deep inside that armour and those mechanical parts is one of the brave souls who stood his ground on the beaches of Normandy, all the way to Berlin," Bucky explained.
He removed a shield from his back, a disc shaped weapon with a red and white colour scheme and a star at its centre.
"We could go back to the old days you know, when you held your shield high and ran with the troops," he said.
"That time is over, evidently," Iron Patriot said, motioning to White Skull.
"Evidently not Captain, because there is still a force on this Earth that stands against all the good on the planet," White Skull explained.
"There is no good left on the planet Skull, we'll all be forced to cross lines today," Iron Patriot turned and walked away from the men who were once his best friend and sworn enemy.
Iron Patriot flew out of the Helicarrier, saluting the heroes gathered on one of the rooftops. He waved half heartedly to the people in the city who pointed up at him. When they looked up at him he knew they felt better, more hopeful. Steve Rogers however, or the cyborg he had become didn't believe in that kind of concept. He didn't believe that there was any hope for his world, for its continued survival or its morality. Landing in one of the alleyways, Steve looked towards the Scarlet Warlock as he teleported several civilians onto a transport. Petra however had been running across the entire world, picking up one person after another. The plan was simple, Spider-man, Daredevil and the Nelsons would assist with the evacuation of New York and act as reserves in case the already assembled heroes failed in stopping the invading League. Whilst the others distracted the invaders, S.H.I.E.L.D would prioritise the mass evacuation of citizens with Helicarriers, Walter Maximoff would teleport anyone left behind and Petra would run them to the savage land where a massive teleporter waited. Steve's mission was to go to the other Earth and find the three greatest minds on the Planet, Silas Stone, Moira Queen and the imprisoned survivor of the Luthor family. Once he had them in custody he was to go to a place in the Antarctic and if necessary force the three scientists to use whatever technology was in the fortress to save their Earth. Failing that, if there was no other option left then the covert team consisting of Widow, Wisdom, the Punisher and Silver Sable would to the incursion point, plant an Anti-matter bomb and destroy the League's universe.
'There will be no heroes today,' Iron Patriot thought as he flew towards the Scarlet Warlock.
Walter Maximoff nodded his head as he raised his hands, drawing on chaos magic to create a portal. Iron Patriot didn't bother saluting the man before he flew into the portal. Spider-man and Daredevil jumped off of the street lights they had been hanging on and looked up at the sky. They saw exactly what every other person on the planet saw, another Earth on a collision course with theirs.
Damian threw off his cloak as he walked into his command centre. He would personally destroy the other Earth, bearing the burden no one else would. Numerous holographic screens began to appear around him, the command centre shook as if it was moving. Damian's command centre was linked to the biggest space ship on the planet, one part battle station and another part weapon's platform. Linking his fingers with the holographic interface, Damian looked through the eyes of the massive Hellbat, a black ship with a red bat symbol on the nose cone and gigantic bat like wings. The wings themselves were composed of nanobots, billions of tiny robots that Damian could manipulate with a thought. Damian looked at the other Earth, a beautiful place where the heroes had had an easy time creating a paradise. He almost felt regretful for having to destroy their world. But his mother had taught him to survive no matter what. The instincts she instilled in him were unfortunately greater than the compassion his father tried to pass on.
"Remember Wayne the Anti-Matter bombs have to make contact with the planets core, otherwise we'll just get an expensive explosion," Grodd said over the radio.
"I know Grodd, just focus on our planet, Rose is your team ready?" Damian asked.
"It is indeed, although its more Joseph's team isn't it dear brother?"
A blonde, curly haired man smiled at his sister as he put on a helmet of some kind, numerous wires connected it to the computers in the Hellbat. Rose put on a jet pack and drew her swords. Lights suddenly came on in the room she was in, revealing the army she intended to lead into bloody battle. Her brother Jericho was using his possession abilities to control their minds, they were heroes who didn't agree with Damian's status quo as well as villains that couldn't be threatened into joining. There was Bane, whom with his breathing mask inhaled a constant strain of venom converted from the very air he breathed. Leonard Allen also went by the name Captain Thunder and wore a red padded insulation suit with lightning bolt ornaments on his baseball cap and a gun that fired electricity. Next to him was Queen Ivy, formerly the Queen of Bialya with the ability to control plant life and produce poisons, as Queen Bee she wore a vine based crown and a green one piece costume with green gloves and boots and vines over his exposed thighs. Blackout was one of the most powerful sources of electricity on the planet, but even he was still a scarred sixteen year old boy. Mr Freeze was a man contained within a black suit, his chest and face however were obscured by the ice that grew from the suit. Even heroes of the stars were not safe from Damian's mind control implants, former members of High-father's invasion force had also been indoctrinated into the League. They included the grey skinned and red eyed Orion, Lightwave, Big Barda and her children Zan and Jayna, any dreams they had of avenging their father's death was suppressed by the control chips. Even Abin Sur's sister Arin Sur, a Star Sapphire was being mind controlled.
"We are beginning to enter the atmosphere, engaging shields," Damian said.
He let out an annoyed huff at the efforts S.H.I.E.L.D. made to shoot him down. Their weapons couldn't even pierce his shields. A smirk then crossed Damian's face as the Hellbat emerged from the clouds of Earth 7119. He saw the heroes ready to fight and die for their world and he admired them for it, he admired that they were prepared to fight heroes to stop their world's destruction. But he laughed at their Naivete, he knew Richards had been monitoring his Earth, Fate told him many eyes were on his Earth. That was how Damian wanted it, he wanted the entire Multiverse to know that when all the Incursions happened, when the Multiverse itself was gone it would be his Earth left.
"Open gun batteries and launch hatch," Damian commanded the Hellbat and it obeyed.
Jericho however commanded the army and with a single thought sent them out alongside his sister. Lightning flashed and Red Adam flew past them, alongside Abin Sur and White Martian. They reached the heroes before the brain washed villains did.
"AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!" Captain Britain yelled.
She formed a purple sword of telekinetic energy and swung it around, generating a wave that threw Red Adam back. Titanium man engaged his rocket boots and flew at Abin Sur, pounding his barrier. The Yellow Lantern altered his barrier, forming the body of a two head snake. It latched its jaw onto Piotr and slammed him into the building. The very force of the blow made the building collapse, forcing the heroes to fly. Darkstar and Lightwave slammed their energy blasts together, whilst Crimson Dynamo and Orion tackled one another in midair. Sunfire flew backwards, barely avoiding Ravager's sword swipe. She then swerved to dodge Captain Thunder's electric blast, only to be hit in the back by Star Sapphire.
"It's hopeless, your people are as weak as your defences," Damian gloated, shooting apart two Helicarriers that got in his way.
The energy blasts the Hellbat fired tore through the airships like paper, hitting the city like meteorites. People ran through the streets, away from burning buildings and falling debris. One particular family tried to run from the epicentre of the battle.
"Dad what are we going to do?" the boy of the two children asked.
"It's alright son, we'll find some way out of this," Marc Spector, single father and former marine swore on his wife's grave he would keep his family safe.
An object struck the ground and out of the smoke came two gigantic creatures, one a red bear and the other a white skinned hybrid of a lion and a goat. Ursa Major slashed Jayna across the chest and took a horn to her shoulder. She dug her teeth into Jayna's arm and ripped it off. Marc shielded his children's eyes and ran down another street. He widened his eyes however as a man made of water appeared in front of him. Zan looked down at the humans, his aquatic form had replaced his legs with a cyclone of water. Even if he wasn't mind controlled he still would have senselessly attacked the humans he despised.
"HEY HYDRANT MAN!" a voice yelled to Zan's left.
Spider-man swung towards the giant, firing impact webs into his body.
"LOOK AT ME I'M A TARGET!" Spider-man yelled.
He swung around Zan, dodging the swings of his arms. It was clear to Marc that the silver armoured hero was distracting the elemental.
"Sniff, Sniff, man the dogs really love you, hey thanks for helping me out so many times against Molten Man and the Human Torch," the hero said as he flipped over Zan.
Marc led his children into the alleyway, giving them both a moment to breathe. Spider-man crossed his arms together as Zan swung his arm. The elemental had turned his right limp into a drill and his left into a scythe. The pressure of the water would have cut through Spidey's old costume, but after meeting Sable he wore pieces of silver armour over his black suit.
"Nice try Hydrant AAAGH!" a blast suddenly hit him in the back.
Big Barda landed in the streets, holding her Meta-rod at the ready. She fired a blast that tore through Ursa Major's chest, marking the first casualty of the conflict. Marc looked towards Spider-man in shock as his opponents began walking towards him. Barda raised her rod and prepared to crush the man's skull.
Silver Sable could see the devastation already being waged on her home world. She prayed for her lover to survive above all others. Even forgiveness was nothing in the face of her love surviving. Though she knew Peter would hate her for what she was about to do, she knew that Peter's survival could only come if she destroyed the Earth 9117. She checked over her pistols whilst Widow activated her soul stings, blade built into her wrist bands, made from small fragments of her soul. Punisher's powers required him to wield no weapon and Wisdom retained his ability to fire heated spikes.
"Forgive me," Sable whispered as she prepped the drone for carrying the Anti-matter bomb.
Widow opened the cargo hatch of the door and walked into the jungle of Dinosaur island. She admired the landscape as he reminded her of some of her favourite spots in the Savage land. After she took a few steps her allies followed.
"We knew you would try this," a voice said above her.
Illyana held her blades at the ready as Cheetah, Hro Talek and Mistress Fate flew down to ground level. All three smirked and laughed at their opponents, believing they had the full advantage. Punisher however stepped forward and his skin began to transform. His muscles expanded to Hulk levels and his skin turned a grey colour.
"Oh I'm sorry, did you think you had the advantage?" Punisher grinned as he cracked his knuckles.
When Iron Patriot arrived on Earth 9117 he was met with more resistance than he was informed of. Tanks and missile trucks had been set on the streets of Star City. They and even the infantrymen fired at the armoured hero as soon as he came out of the portal. Steve swerved between missiles and shells, dodging the energy blasts the soldiers fired as well. Each soldier was equipped with some kind of wrist band that enabled them to fire long range energy attacks. Iron Patriot swooped downwards, firing repulsor blasts that knocked some of the soldiers back. His target retina moved from one tank, to a missile launcher and split into five circles to highlight some of the soldiers. At that instant his wrist guard and right shoulder pad opened, the wrist fired a missile into one of the tanks, and the shoulder fired a flurry of darts that knocked some of the soldiers unconscious. Steve then fired a repulsor blast that blew up the missile truck.
"Don't stand in my way, this mission might just save your world too," Steve said.
Suddenly, a sonic blast hit Steve in the back, throwing him against the wall. He stood up and looked towards the criminals Boss Terrific and Deadshot. Several more soldiers then joined the fray, arming their wrist lasers and aiming at Steve.
"Some of us don't want this world saved Captain," a voice spoke above them.
Steve looked up and if he had flesh and blood eyes they would be wide in shock. Floating above the army, wearing his signature cloak of levitation and the eye of Agamotto was the sorcerer supreme, Doctor Doom. Demonic runes had been carved across the man's armour, a sign of his corruption of the magic. He crossed his arms as Iron Patriot stood, preparing to make his last stand.
Damian was severally disappointed in the heroes of Earth 7119. He expected, hoped for more of a challenge, that somehow the peaceful sheep would stand firm. Instead they stood together, and thus died together. Reed Richards stood on the bridge of the head Helicarrier, firing every missile and gun battery at the Hellbat. But the nano-bots intercepted the missiles and the blasts from the guns were jokes. Damian was confident that nothing short of the Kryptonian could breach the Hellbat's hide. Richards however was determined to protect his world. He took control of the carrier by remote and activated the thrusters, putting the carrier on a collision course with the bat.
"You were right Black Swan, death is inevitable, but the death of a universe?" the question floated around Richard's like one of his theories.
Reed Richards had only one regret in his life, the death of his fiancé and best friend and the transformation of his brother in law into a monster. All of that was a result of his vanity and foolishness. When he was younger he put together a space expedition, self funded from his own fortune and crewed by three people he considered family. They took off on what Reed at the time called a 'fantastic voyage', himself as captain, his best friend Ben Grimm as pilot and Susan and Johnny Storm as additional crew. But half way into the flight they found what they were looking for, a storm of cosmic energy that pushed the ship back into Earth's atmosphere. The cosmic radiation altered Johnny, turning him into a literal human torch, the man on fire for the rest of his life. Ben however had been mutated to the point where nothing could be recognised of his old friend. Susan however simply disappeared, as if the radiation had erased her. Broken by the grief Johnny turned to the criminal lifestyle. Reed had lived his life trying to make amends for his mistake ever since. He knew he didn't deserve a happy ending.
"The death of the universe will not happen, not while we can prevent it," Reed repeated his mantra from earlier.
He closed his eyes, thinking of the picture he and his friends took before the voyage. They were the last thoughts of a man making a sacrifice. The heroes looked up at the Hellbat as the Helicarrier crashed into it. But their one moment of hope faded suddenly as the smoke cleared, revealing that the Hellbat hadn't been affected at all.
"No," Spider-man gasped.
Damian sighed, disappointed by the last stand and sacrifice of Reed Richards. He checked the distance to the target, it wouldn't be long before he would be launching the Anti-Matter bomb and destroying the Earth. He opened numerous channels to see how his allies were progressing. Diana's team in Dinosaur land faced off with the Punisher, Damian was confident though that they could kill Sable and her team before they planted their bombs. Iron Patriot was surrounded by Terrific's soldiers and Dr Doom, whom was a necessary ally. Doom bargained his own safety, liking Damien's approach to ruling the world. Then there was New York, the brainwashed troops were slowly beginning to overpower the other heroes. Even Captain Britain had her helmet shattered by Red Adam, plus Barda was about to finish Spider-man off. She raised her rod over her head and swung it down.
Suddenly though the battle shifted, webs latched onto Spider-man's back and yanked him away. Barda's weapon cracked the ground and she roared in anger over her kill being taken. She yelled a second time though when a gigantic foot sent her flying across the city. Her twins looked at the new arrivals with as much confusion as Damian and Spider-man had. All four were teenage girls. The one who kicked Barda away had stretched her limbs and expanded her fists. She was Pakistani-American judging from her skin tone and the modesty of her outfit, a red suit with a navy blue vest, the vest had a yellow lightning bolt symbol on it, she also wore a gold band and a domino mask.
"I'm Ms Marvel and I've got to say even though you aren't my Spider-man it's great to be teaming up with you," the girl said.
Her three allies smiled as they lined up beside her. The one who saved Spider-man wore a similar costume, the lower half was black whilst the upper half was white with red web markings on her arms, her mask also included a hood. Next to her stood a brown haired girl in a green costume, her cowl exposed her hair, eyes and her mouth and her sleeves had white stars running across them, in addition to the star on her chest. This 'Starwoman' raised her gold staff and fired a blast that knocked the raged and rampaging Barda back.
"Ready girls?" the remaining blonde haired girl asked.
"After you Supergirl," Ms Marvel said.
Damian focused on the symbol on Supergirl's chest, he had seen it on the alien. She wore a reversed version of his costume though, her top was blue and her cape was red, she also wore a red skirt. Suddenly she took off, hitting Red Adam so hard that he was thrown back and slammed into the Hellbat.
"WHAT!" Damian yelled, the force of the blow had actually damaged the Hellbat.
He looked at the monitors again and widened his eyes again. On dinosaur island Silver Sable and Black Widow were beaten down by a man wielding a glowing red staff. He wore a black and red uniform with red armoured gauntlets, his face was concealed by a red and black helmet with yellow lenses over the eyes. A girl whose body was composed of yellow fire suddenly blasted the Punisher, pushing him away from his opponents. Hro Talek raised his mace towards a white haired woman. The woman's eyes glowed as she raised her hands. A jet of water suddenly shot out of the forest, slamming into Hro. Cheetah hissed at a short armoured man as he swung his energy blade at her. Damian looked at the odd man, his eyes looked like they were from an anime, white hair stretched out of the back of his helmet and his blue armour had gold markings on the shoulders and three gold circles on the chest. A shield suddenly flew into Cheetah's back, knocking her forward onto her face. The shield, Captain America's shield returned to its wielder, a man wearing a blue and white costume so advanced it actually looked like it was his own skin.
"Who are you?" Diana demanded as the group's apparent leader arrived.
He was dressed in a red and gold Spider-man outfit, with four mechanical arms sticking out of his back.
"I guess you could call us the New Warriors of the Multiverse," the young man said as he back flipped towards his team. "Pat here boss man, we're at their bombing site," he spoke into a radio on his mask.
Damian bought up his computer and began typing, tracking wherever and whoever the new arrivals were receiving orders from. His computers however suddenly stopped.
"It's over Damian!"
Damian was almost frozen on the spot by the voice he heard. He turned, putting on his cowl as he did. Who he saw was supposed to be a ghost. The man was as old as he was, his jaw didn't show any scars though and his costume, the costume had much greater than Damian's. Its shoulder armour resembled a knight's, the utility belt was a yellow harness and clubs were strapped to holsters on his thighs. Even though he was younger, even though he clearly wasn't the man Damian had lost he could see who he was, Batman AKA Bruce Wayne.
"You and I need to have a serious talk," Batman said as he removed his mask.
Damian's attention was so focused on his father that he neglected to look at his monitors. He didn't see that there was a fourth set of new arrivals. Iron Patriot and his attackers widened their eyes as waves of the soldiers began to fall unconscious. A yellow and red blur rushed through and around the soldiers, taking apart their weapons and knocking them out. The blur even took apart a tank's tracks. Deadshot took aim with his rifle, but the target was clearly too fast. Steve finally got a look at the blur when it slammed into Deadshot.
"I've still got it," the young man grinned.
He had red hair poking out of a yellow mask. His eyes were covered by a pair of red goggles, the yellow and red, padded outfit he wore also included a white circle on the chest with a red bolt on it. Deadshot got off of the floor, preparing to lift up his gun. Suddenly, an Escrima stick struck the back of Deadshot's head, knocking him out. It returned to its wielder, whom stood on the roof of a nearby car. He wore a completely black suit that covered his entire body, it had red markings running across it, all of them gathering into the red eyes on the black mask. The outfit was padded with armour at the joints and utility pockets on the waist and the gloves. The red lenses on the mask glowed as the man looked up at Doctor Doom.
"Sorry to barge in like unwanted guests, I'm Aeon's apprentice, and I've gotten tired of watching Earths blow up," he said before he jumped into the fight.
