Ever wondered what the start of season four would've have been like? Here's my version, with a more edgier Nick than I usually write.

I've set myself a challenge with this story. It will be a proper story but each chapter will have a title of a mentalist episode involved in it somehow. Fingers crossed it works.

Dr. Gracia Evelette never thought that a little accident could bring her towards the man that she would want to spend the rest of her life with. That's what happens when she has a little fender bender with Nick. Their relationship is complicated and i'm not just talking about the fact that she has to keep it a secret and keep him alive if she wants it to continue.

Basing on what Burton tells aunt Liz, Anne was a long time pill addiction problem. It's unlikely Nick did not know anything about it. He just chose not to see it. But I believe his coke problem started from that. And Burton, back then, tried and help.

The night Nick gets arrested. Rated M because I want to be safe. Obviously there's drug in the topic, and a few 'naughty words' as my three year old calls them, might have slipped in between regular words.

This is set in the future and about what happens if Nick is injured in an accident...
