The Alliance
Over Earth, Vilgax's ship still maintained orbit, still desiring above all else to retrieve the Omnitrix.
Two mechadroids were ejected out of the hangar and flew down to the planet, which was monitored by a bioid.
"The drones have launched. Equipped with the improved internal tracking system, they should be able to find and retrieve the Omnitrix." It informed Vilgax, whose healing tank was now covered.
"They may find it, but retrieving it will not be easy. Whoever possesses the Omnitrix continues to be an opponent of extreme danger and inspiring brilliance." Vilgax replied.
On Earth, the Tennants and Kiera were currently in Albuquerque, New Mexico and were currently at a gas station to refuel the Star Angel.
Dan, Ash and Kiera were inside the gas station store, looking around.
It has been a week since Kiera joined the Tennants and she's greatly improved from who she was beforehand. Spending time with them has allowed her to mellow out and start to finally become normal, seeing that being selfless is better and more important than being selfish. And she was able to reconnect to her humanity.
Of course, she got along with all three of them very well.
She and Dan became best friends in a very short amount of time and because of their capabilities, this allowed them to train with each other, which helped improve their skills in combat significantly.
Kiera and Grant were close in a way that made her feel like she was reconnecting with her father in a way, partly because of the stories Grant would tell her.
And both she and Ash got on so well that it made Dan wonder how things will go between them, though he knew to stay out of it, since they'd kick his ass if he did.
Of course, Dan was currently antsy as he was hungry for something to munch on. Even his stomach started rumbling.
"Calm down, I'm gonna get something." Dan muttered to his stomach.
He then noticed a pyramid of boxes full of saltine crackers. In the mood for them, he grabbed a box, though this caused the pyramid to lose balance and fall down over Ash, who was reading a magazine.
"Very smooth, Daniel." She said as she poked her head out, making Kiera laugh her ass off, making Ash blush in embarrassment.
After Dan bought the box of saltines and Kiera a chocolate bar, they and Ash exited the store and to the Star Angel, where Grant was washing the back window, where Dan wrote 'WASH ME' in the dust with a sad face next to it.
"Nice artwork, Dan." Grant said as he wiped over the words and sad face.
"Might as well make a statement." Dan replied after he ate a saltine.
Then suddenly, a red truck was hit by a laser beam, damaging the rear and making it catch on fire.
"At least it isn't like that one." Kiera said.
The laser beam came from one of three figures who all wore biker outfits, including helmets, and wielding laser rifles.
Two of them advanced on the truck, which had bags full of money, while the third stood and noticed the Tennants and Kiera watching them.
"What are you looking at?" The figure asked with a female voice. She then aimed her laser rifle at them and they all, except Grant, ducked behind the Star Angel in time to avoid getting shot, forming a large gap in the column of the gas station. Grant stayed on the ground, though he looked like he was in some pain.
"Kiera, help him while I deal with them." Dan said as he activated the Omnitrix and turned into Four Arms. Kiera formed a metal shell by absorbing the Star Angel and grabbed Grant, pulling him behind the Star Angel.
The two crooks came back out of the truck with bags of money.
They then heard a rumble nearby and were surprised to see Dan as Four Arms, pounding into the ground to create a large shockwave that knocked the three off their feet.
Dan then noticed that the driver of the truck exited the vehicle, looking dazed for a moment.
"You alright?" Dan asked him, though the driver screamed upon seeing him and ran away.
"I'll just take that as a yes." Dan muttered.
But then he got shot at by one of the gang members with one of their laser rifles, blasting him back into a column of the gas station.
Another shot was made, but Dan dodged it by moving slightly, though this caused the laser beam to hit a gas tank, causing a huge explosion.
"DAN!" Grant cried out as he, Ash and Kiera watched on in horror.
Dan roared as he leaped out of the pillar of smoke, hitting the ground where the gang stood, making the leader fall to the side, making her helmet crack in the process, and the other two were knocked into the truck.
Dan lifted them off the ground with his lower arms and used his upper ones to remove their helmets, revealing them to be women.
"Honestly, can't you women think of a better way to make a living?" Dan said before he bonked their heads together, knocking them out.
However, Dan was then shot in the back by the leader, falling to the ground. The leader was now unmasked and revealed to have pale skin, black makeup, dark red spiky hair and piercings in her right ear. Her name was Rojo.
"This is an honest living." She replied.
Kiera grabbed one of the spare tires on the Star Angel and threw it right at Rojo, hitting her head and making her fall on her face.
Dan got back on his feet when he spotted two mechadroids flying around the pillar of smoke and start firing beams heading right for Dan, who moved out of the way in time before the beams hit the truck, blowing it up and making bills of money rain down on the scene, making Rojo angry, thinking someone else was barging in to steal the money.
"Hey! This is my heist!" She snapped, snatching some of the bills in her hands. She then grabbed her rifle and started making her way to Dan.
Dan was bobbing and weaving to avoid the droids' laser beams, not noticing that Rojo was about to fire at him. But she got knocked down by another tire thrown at her, this time by Grant.
"Dan! Those droids are after the watch!" He informed Dan, who already guessed that, considering how they looked similar to the ones that attacked the night he got the Omnitrix.
Rojo soon got right back up and aimed her laser rifle at Grant.
"You'll get yours, old man." She mocked before firing a laser beam, which Grant avoided, before she aimed it at the top of the gas station, causing it to break into pieces, one of which fell on Grant's back, incapacitating him.
"GRANT/GRANDPA!" Both Ash and Kiera screamed.
"NO!" Dan roared in fear and rage, grabbing the two droids that flew right at him with ease.
"I HAVE HAD ENOUGH!" He raged before slamming them against each other into disks before shooting them in a blur at Rojo, knocking her out and hitting her so hard that her forehead and right cheek were cut and started bleeding.
Dan then ran over to Ash, Kiera and the knocked out Grant, gently removing the debris on his back.
"He needs to be at the hospital!" Ash said.
"There's no time for 911!" Kiera pointed out as she shed her metal shell.
"Hold on!" Dan said as he grabbed the two girls and placed them on his back while he held Grant with his lower arms. "There's a hospital up the street!"
He then made giant leaps towards the hospital.
As they left, Rojo woke back up and looked at the crushed mechadroids.
"Who were you freaks?" She asked as she picked one of their heads while sirens from nearby police cars were heard.
It activated and plugged into her neck, transferring its innards into her, causing her to transform, first starting by red veins that started changing her skin to become red with mechanical elements visible.
Her pant legs ripped apart as her jacket sleeves got shredded by metal spikes that formed on her forearm and her eyes started glowing red and morphed into the kind on the droid, even on her shoulders.
The head then stopped and fell to the ground as police cars pulled up behind Rojo and a couple of officers came out with their guns aimed at her.
"FREEZE!" One of them shouted.
She turned to face them and they were stunned.
"Ha! I already did my time. It's time you guys paid." She said as her shoulder eyes popped out and shot at the cars as the cops ran away, blowing them up.
Rojo then grabbed one of the bags of cash with a grin, laughing gleefully.
"This is gonna be a blast!"
At the hospital, a few hours later, Grant was now placed in bed with bandages and attached to medical equipment, while still unconscious.
"Your grandfather has suffered a severely bruised back, his spine was popped and suffered a severe concussion." A doctor informed Dan, Ash and Kiera. "He'll be out for several more hours. He also has a broken leg."
"Will he be okay?" Dan asked the question on their minds.
"For a man his age, he is incredibly strong. He'll be fine after some rest." The doctor reassured him before looking at the clipboard. "Now it says on his admittance form he was hit by some debris. What happened?"
"Some gang were trying to rob a truck full of money and caused damage to the gas station, hence the debris." Dan replied, deciding to not tell the truth, since he wouldn't be taken seriously.
Back onboard Vilgax's ship, the bioid had just learned what happened to the drones.
"The drones were destroyed." It informed Vilgax, who wasn't pleased.
"Send out more!" He demanded.
"We may not need to. It seems the drones have somehow merged. I'm receiving one combined signal, and that signal is on the move." The bioid revealed, sounding surprised.
"Hmm." Vilgax considered this information with thought. "Perhaps one head is better than two."
At a jewellery store, a robbery was in progress with a few people running out for their lives.
This was thanks to Rojo, who was using her new form to conduct this crime. She looked at a glass display full of rings, melting the glass away with one of her shoulder eyes and grabbed a handful of rings, though gold shavings started slipping out as she held them up to her face.
"What?" She said in shock, opening her hand to see that the combination of her metal fingers and her strength crushed the rings into nothing but dust.
"NO! They're worthless now!" She snapped angrily, throwing the dust. She then looked over at the only woman that remained in the store, looking terrified.
Rojo started walking over to her when she stopped due to an ear splitting tone, causing her to stumble back and fall to her knees as she held her head.
"Listen to me, whoever you are…." She heard Vilgax speak to her in her head while the woman ran off.
"Where are you?" Rojo groaned as she got back on her feet. "Who are you, and how did you get in my head?"
"No questions!" Vilgax snapped. "You are here to serve me."
"Guess again. I work for me and only me." Rojo retorted.
This caused her pain to increase significantly and then found herself in a vision surrounded by yellow and red veins.
"You now possess power you could have never imagined, but unless you find a way to use it, it will be worthless." Vilgax said as he appeared in front of her, looking much larger than her, which made her terrified. "Fulfil my command, and I will teach you. Fail me, and I will turn you to dust!"
"So what do you want?" Rojo said, not wanting to be killed.
"Only one thing, a piece of valuable technology missing from my possession, and luckily, you are already programmed to find it." Vilgax explained before the vision vanished and Rojo was now back in the jewellery store.
Back at the hospital, Dan, Ash and Kiera were in the room Grant was put in, all sitting silently, the former staring at Grant with a sad and guilty expression on his face.
"Dan, the doctor said he'll be fine." Ash tried to reassure him.
"Yeah, this is Grant, we're talking about, he can take on a bull and he'd be fine afterwards, he's that strong." Kiera added.
"I still can't help but worry about him." Dan replied quietly before he got up and walked out into the hallway, leaving the two girls to look at him with concern.
"Dan?" Kiera said as they followed him out into the hallway, seeing that he was now thinking.
"Perhaps I can turn into Technomorph, and get into those machines he's hooked up to try and make him better." Dan said, reaching for the Omnitrix's dial.
"Dan, that isn't going to work." Ash pointed out sadly.
"Then I can become Wraith and meld with him. I just want to help him." Dan said, sounding slightly desperate as he activated the Omnitrix.
All the way across the city, Rojo sensed this and used her eyes to zoom in on the hospital, then through the window where he saw Dan with the Omnitrix.
"There you are." She said.
Dan was told to not turn into an alien and help Grant, the reasoning being that he might end up doing more damage. This made him feel worthless, not being able to help his grandpa. He even took his own anger at himself out on a bin, kicking it.
"Dan, please relax. It'll be alright." Ash said gently.
Dan wasn't really soothed by these words as he looked out the window.
But he then noticed something flying right at him.
"LOOK OUT!" Dan shouted, pushing Ash and Kiera out of the way and dived in time as Rojo crashed through the window.
They faced her, shocked by her new appearance as they backed away from her.
"Give me the Omnitrix!" She demanded.
"You'll have to come and get it!" Dan snapped back before they ran, Rojo blasting at them, though they dodged as they ran round a corner.
Dan looked behind them to see Rojo still going after them, firing another shot that nearly hit a female nurse, who was saved by a male nurse, both running for cover.
The three ran round another corner and Dan saw a door that led to the stairwell, leading Ash and Kiera through it and down the stairwell.
"Is it just me, or was that the woman from the armoured car robbery?" Kiera asked.
"It was!" Ash confirmed.
"She must've somehow merged with one of those drones. Which is why she's after the Omnitrix" Dan pointed out right before the door they went through exploded, making them now take jumps down the stairs every four steps.
They reached the bottom and ran off as Rojo leapt down and landed at the foot of the stairwell.
Ash ducked in time to avoid another laser blast as it shot through the door frame.
"Dan, don't you think you should turn alien and try to kick her ass?" Kiera asked.
"I can't do that inside the hospital!" Dan pointed out.
Soon, the three made it outside into the parking lot and decided to hide among the ambulances in time as Rojo finally caught up outside.
"We can do this the easy way or the hard way." Rojo said before she fired at the peak of the cliffside next to the hospital with both shoulder eyes, causing rocks to roll down towards the hospital.
The three gasped as Rojo backed away with an evil smile.
Dan looked at the ambulances and the bridge that connected the hospital to the city, where construction workers were idly working and knew what he had to do.
"Time to put Magmus to use." He said as he activated the Omnitrix, searched for Magmus' outline and slammed on the dial, turning into Magmus.
"You two, get to safety!" He told Ash and Kiera, who ran to a safe distance before Dan melted all the ambulances with jets of fire, becoming one large mass of metal, which he jumped over right as the rocks arrived.
The first part of his plan worked as the rocks stopped and were redirected down to the road that led to the bridge connecting to the city.
"Uh, Dan?" Ash asked as Dan joined up with her and Kiera.
"Don't worry, it's all part of the plan." Dan replied before he started running to make a fireboard.
But before he could do that, Rojo leapt out of nowhere and kicked him in the back, making him face plant on the road.
"GO AWAY!" Dan roared, shooting a shockwave of fire that threw Rojo back before she could shoot him.
Dan then got back up and ran to the edge, jumping off and formed a fireboard in midair, flying right to the bridge, where the workers noticed the rocks heading for them and ran.
Dan fired two jets of fire that when impacting the end of the bridge, it exploded, making the rocks fall into the water below.
That was when Rojo flew up behind Dan and tackled him before throwing him right into a construction vehicle, shooting at it relentlessly, causing an explosion and a column of smoke.
When she stopped, all she saw was that all the vehicles, including a now leaking oil truck, were damaged and there was no sign of Dan. Windows from a nearby building all shattered at once as well.
She then saw Dan rising out of a hole in the ground, completely unfazed.
"Is that all you got, you Terminator ripoff?" Dan mocked.
This irked Rojo so much that she flew right at him, but he ducked in the blink of an eye, making her fly through the smoke and hover by the leaking oil truck.
Dan coolly snapped his fingers, creating a spark of fire that lit the oil up, causing an explosion that sent Rojo flying like a bullet into the city.
"See ya." Dan waved off before he headed back to the hospital.
It was a couple of hours later when Grant finally awoke, though he was moved into a new room for his safety.
"...and when I activated it, she must've picked up on it and came to the hospital." Dan finished his explanation about what happened.
"Well, given that you haven't turned alien since and I'm in a new room, we're safe." Grant said with a smile, though Dan wasn't reassured by his words.
"Yeah, but what happens the next time I turn alien to help someone and she's still after me? It's now become too dangerous for you guys to be around me." Dan said, looking down at the Omnitrix. "If I didn't find this thing, we wouldn't have been thrown into all the crazy things we've been experiencing since."
"But you did find it and we've been experiencing these crazy things. And since you can't take it off, there's nothing you can do about it." Ash pointed out.
"And you may not have found me and taken me with you on this trip." Kiera added, looking at Dan with nothing but gratefulness, which just ate him up inside.
In the city, a crowd of people gathered around a crushed car and when Rojo showed herself emerging, they all ran away from her, scared by her appearance.
She then felt that severe pain in her head and she was now back in the vision with Vilgax.
"The Omnitrix. Where is it?" He demanded an explanation.
"I couldn't get it. And how nice. You didn't tell me I'd be fighting a superhero." Rojo snapped back at him. "I'm through."
This made Vilgax eat her whole, making her tumble down a dark red pit.
"You'll get the Omnitrix, and if you fail again, your meaningless criminal life will be over. Now this time, make him come to you."
Back at the hospital, as Ash, Grant and Kiera were asleep, Dan placed a folded up note by the foot of Grant's bed.
"I'm doing this to keep you guys safe." He said quietly before he left the hospital.
As the day was coming to an end, Dan sat on his own on a park bench, where he saw a young boy tossing a football to his grandpa.
"I'm glad we can spend the summer together, grandpa." The boy said as he hugged his grandpa.
This made Dan smile sadly at this, making him remember the times he spent with Grant during his childhood.
But then the radio on the bench next to his with a woman sitting turned on to broadcast a piece of news.
"Reports say the armoured assailant has incredible firepower and has blown up several police barricades before arriving at the police academy training centre just outside of Albuquerque."
Dan frowned upon hearing this, knowing that Rojo must be doing this to make him come to her.
Well, he wasn't going to disappoint her.
At the hospital, it was at night when Ash woke up, shocked to see that Dan was missing.
"Dan?" She called out before seeing the folded note he left behind. She opened it up and read it:
Dear grandpa, Ash and Kiera,
I care for you guys too much that I can't risk you being in danger around me. So I left to keep you guys safe.
Kiera, make sure grandpa and Ash are alright while I'm gone.
Love, Dan
"Hey, what's wrong?" Kiera asked as she and Grant woke up from her voice.
"The siege at the police training centre continues." A news broadcast on the TV said, drawing their attention right away. Kiera turned up the volume.
"Early reports say several officers have been injured." The reporter continued, standing where the incident was happening.
"Dan's gone, but it's clear where he went." Ash said, showing the note to Kiera and Grant. "Kiera, let's go."
"I'm coming, too." Grant said, trying to get up.
"No way, you're still healing and we can't risk you getting worse." Kiera told him.
"But you two can't go on your own." Grant shot back stubbornly.
This made Ash grab the hospital bed remote and use it to recline his bed flat.
"Hey! I can't get up!" Grant said.
"That's the point, grandpa. Come on, Kiera." Ash said before she and Kiera ran out of the room.
"Hey, get back here, you two!" Grant shouted.
Outside, a paramedic ran up to another who was waiting by an ambulance.
"They need us down at the police academy."
They then got in, unaware that both Ash and Kiera hitched a ride in the back.
At the police academy, Rojo tossed various cars and shot lasers at the buildings, causing a lot of damage.
Just then, a blue and black blur smacked into her twice before it skidded to a stop in front of her, revealing Dan as Velociraptor.
"That just hurts, you didn't invite me to your party." Dan quipped.
Rojo was about to grab his ankle, but Dan reacted fast enough to zip behind her and smack her in the back with his tail, throwing her some distance away.
"He wants his Omnitrix, he can have it." Rojo snarled as she got back up and aimed her shoulder eyes at Dan. "This is getting fun."
"Who the hell are you talking about?" Dan muttered quietly to himself, wondering who it was that wanted the Omnitrix so desperately that he resorted to Rojo trying to get it from Dan.
He then zoomed at her, dodging her lasers and repeatedly kicked her in the chest.
"Machine gun legs, better watch out!" Dan said before delivering a kick in her face, making her stumble backwards.
They faced each other as a rumbling came up next to them. They looked to see that it was from an armoured tank that rolled up to them and adjusted its barrel at them both.
Dan instantly sped off before the tank fired at Rojo, leaving a pillar of smoke.
Dan watched as the tank rolled through it and stopped, ready to fire at him. But Rojo lifted it up with her hands, not even having a scratch on her.
"Nice try, but Speedy's all mine." She said.
The two men in the tank got out in time and ran off before she threw it at Dan.
She believed she hit him, but he showed up right behind her. Noticing this, she tried swiping at him, but he zipped behind her and then punched and kicked her repeatedly, causing her to be thrown in the air and crash into the street.
She got back up and shot a beam from one of her shoulder eyes, but Dan was able to narrowly dodge it.
The ambulance finally arrived.
"Who needs help?" One of the paramedics said as they exited the vehicle soon seeing Dan and Rojo still fighting with Dan still dodging Rojo's laser beams and hitting her every once in a while.
The two paramedics ran off as Kiera and Ash opened the back of the ambulance, which Dan noticed.
He instantly rushed past Rojo, grabbed the two and zoomed down the street, hiding in a corner alley.
"What the hell are you two doing here?" He demanded of them sternly.
"To help you, what else, bonehead?" Ash retorted as Dan turned back to normal as the Omnitrix timed out.
A nearby explosion cut Dan off from replying, making him lead the two down the alley as Rojo caught up to them.
The three ended up in a training course and Rojo started firing at them, though missing and making nothing but smoke cover them.
She ran after them, only to run past them as they hid behind a large target.
"Dan, you can't just run away from us!" Kiera told Dan.
"You can't just tell what I can or can't do! I'm the one with the Omnitrix, neither you or Ash, so this is my fight, not yours!" Dan replied back.
"But you need us and grandpa, Dan! Can't you understand that?" Ash questioned.
Rojo fired a laser beam again, making the three peek out to see. Ash looked and saw an open door to what looked like a gym.
"In here." She said quietly and all three ran inside.
The whole gym was empty, full of treadmills, weights and pull down machines among other things.
Ash's phone then rang, which she answered.
"Hello?" She replied to whoever called her. "Grandpa wants to talk to you." She handed the phone to Dan.
"Can't we talk later? That cyborg woman is hard to take down. None of my aliens have done so." He told Grant.
"Have you considered trying to take her down from the inside?" Grant suggested, which made Dan wide eyed and smacked his forehead.
"Why didn't I think of that sooner? Thanks." He said before hanging up and handed the phone to Ash. "Kiera, form a shell, just in case."
"Got it." Kiera nodded and absorbed a treadmill as Dan activated the Omnitrix, which alerted Rojo, who shot through the roof, making the three run for cover.
Dan went behind a column and turned the dial until he found Technomorph's outline and slammed the dial down, turning into said alien a moment before Rojo landed into the gym.
She started walking around, looking for Dan as Ash and Kiera were hiding.
Rojo soon stopped right underneath Dan, who was hanging up on the ceiling.
He dropped down on her before melding with her technological body. She struggled trying to rip him off of her when electricity sparked from her head, leading to Dan finding himself in the same vision world that Rojo was in, floating in front of the giant Vilgax.
"Listen to every word: Be afraid." Vilgax snarled at Dan, who floated back, shocked and actually horrified. "You cannot run, you cannot hide from me. I will find you, and when I do, I will retrieve my Omnitrix and destroy you!"
He then swallowed Dan, who was back in reality and Rojo ripped him off, as he was now disorientated.
So now he knew who was after the Omnitrix. He hoped he wouldn't have to face him soon.
He soon got to his senses and avoided a laser beam from Rojo, who got kicked in the back of the head by Kiera, who then kicked the back of her knee, making her kneel.
Dan took this time to meld with the pull down machine behind Rojo.
"Time for a little work out." Dan said as he grabbed Rojo and weighed her down with the weights before smashing her head into the machine.
Rojo tried pulling herself out of Dan's grip, but Kiera swiped at her legs, knocking her off her feet in time for Dan to let go, causing Rojo to be thrown into a treadmill that Dan soon melded with and used it to throw Rojo back at the pull down machine, which broke apart upon impact.
Dan morphed out of the treadmill as Rojo got to her feet. Angered, she fired her shoulder eyes at both Dan and Kiera, who ran to avoid being hit.
Ash, who was still hiding, noticed that the constant firing from Rojo at the columns were causing the building to start cracking, like it was about to fall.
Just then, a SWAT team showed up, busting through the door as Rojo continued shooting haphazardly.
"DUCK!" Ash warned them.
A beam shot over their heads as they ducked. They then started firing their guns at her, stopping her for a moment, allowing Dan to tackle her to the ground, pinning her.
"Time for you to get rid of your new makeover." Dan said before melding with her again, shorting out her technology, causing electricity to spark again, being witnessed by Kiera, Ash and the SWAT team.
"AHH! Get out of me!" Rojo screamed right as Dan morphed out of her.
"I'm out, sheesh, stop being such a cry baby." Dan replied.
Rojo stood back up and at that moment, her red eye pieces, metal spikes and fingers and hardened skin fell off while her skin colour turned back to normal.
"I'm normal." She said.
"I'd say you're still abnormal." Dan retorted.
"Look, I don't know what came over me. Come on, please, you gotta help me." Rojo said, clearly putting on an act as she glanced over at her laser rifle, which rematerialised.
"I'm just a girl." She then said, right before dropping her act and kicked the rifle into her hands.
"So are we, moron!" Kiera pointed out as she and Ash ran up to her and kicked her both in the chest and head, knocking her out.
The gym then started crumbling, now falling apart.
"We need to get out of here!" Dan told Kiera, who removed her shell, and Ash as he picked up Rojo and carried her in his arms as they ran outside in time to avoid the building crashing down.
Dan then handed Rojo to a SWAT officer next to him.
"She's all yours, gents." Dan told them as he, Ash and Kiera walked off.
The next day, Grant was allowed to leave the hospital and so he, with crutches, left with Dan, Ash and Kiera.
"Nice to finally be out of there and get back on the road." Grant said after taking a breath of fresh air and then all of them headed for the Star Angel.
"By the way, what happened at the gym? It was like you were possessed." Ash asked Dan.
"I honestly don't know. When I melded with her body, I somehow entered this vision and saw this alien. We were both floating and he was talking to me." Dan said as they reached the RV, Grant opening the door. "He looked like Cthulhu, saying he was after the Omnitrix and that I should be afraid."
Dan then noticed that Grant had a look on his face that told him he was worried and scared, like he knew who he was talking about.
"Are you alright?" Dan asked him, making the two girls notice how Grant looked.
"I'm fine." Grant replied, forcing a smile on his face. "And so will you, as long as we're all together."
"Yeah, I realise that now." Dan said, taking what happened to heart before he, Ash and Kiera entered the Star Angel.
Grant stayed outside for a moment, having a ponderous look with a frown, looking up at the sky.
Up in Earth's orbit, Vilgax has failed once more to retrieve the Omnitrix, thinking that it may be better if he went to get it himself as his menacing red eyes glowed in the healing tank.
Kiera will start to become more involved with the fights, trust me, I'm just adjusting to her being involved with the episodes from now on.
And to reply to Mr. E Guest, Dan does in fact inherit traits from his father, I just won't show them in this story, as I'm saving that for when I adapt Alien Force. With the Megawhatt, I figured that the Omnitrix already has its DNA stored inside it, it just needs to be unlocked, similar to Cannonbolt or Ditto. And there is only a single pairing for Dan, but it won't happen in this story, but will be teased, what say what or who, as that's a spoiler for a later entry in this series of stories.
