And Then There Was 10

Up in outer space, a battle was unfolding on an asteroid belt orbiting around Jupiter. A small grey ship with two fins and green edges is being chased and fired upon by a much larger ship that looked like some kind of war ship. It approached the much smaller ship and fired at it, causing some damage to be sustained.

The smaller ship fired back with two laser beams that caused some damage on the bigger ship.

Inside were two humanoid robots on a console as alarms blared.

"Hull damage 20%. But the system's still operational." One of them informed the alien in charge, sitting on a throne. The alien had piercing red eyes, a head that made him look like a squid with tentacles hanging and he wore red and black armour. This alien is the warlord known as Vilgax.

"I have come too far to be denied." He snarled as they followed the small ship as it left the asteroid belt and still fired upon it.

"The Omnitrix shall be mine, and there is not a being in the galaxy that dares stand in my way." He then declared, slamming his left fist down on his throne.

As this conflict is going on, on planet Earth, a fifteen year old male teen was writing something down in his notebook while he was in class. He had short, slightly messy black hair and blue eyes. He wore a long sleeve white and blue baseball shirt with the sleeves pulled up to the elbows, blue jeans and trainers. This is Daniel Robert Tennant, or Dan as he prefers to be called.

As he was writing, he heard the faint sound of a paper aeroplane flying to his head and so he reached behind his head and managed to grab it before it hit him. He then looked behind him to see a male teen with messy brown hair, green eyes, wearing a black shirt under a green jacket and blue jeans trying to pretend he didn't do it by pretending to read a book.

"Tennyson…" Dan muttered in annoyance. He hated him so much for how obnoxious and annoying he can be.

After a while, the lesson was close to finishing and all the students were anxious because once the lesson ended, they were free to go and have three months of summer vacation. Dan looked up at the clock to see that it was nearly 3 o'clock, the time the lesson finishes.

"And I just want to remind you all that I will be teaching summer school this year, and it's not too late to sign up." The teacher up front told everyone, which Dan didn't really listen to as he already had plans for the summer.

Eventually, the clock struck 3 and the bell rang.

"Finally, time to get this show on the road." Dan said, containing his excitement as everyone headed out.

"Everyone, have a good vacation, and I hope to see you all again in the fall." The teacher said as Dan finally made it out of the classroom.

Outside on the school grounds, a young teen with glasses was cornered to a tree as two bullies walked up to him. One had very short dark hair, brown eyes and wore a t-shirt with a cash register on it. The other had messy brown hair, wore glasses and wore a yellow shirt underneath a dark green one. These two are Cash and J.T.

"Normally we'd take your money and beat you up, but since it's the last day of school, we're gonna give you a break." Cash told the younger teen, standing over him.

"Now fork over the cash so we can get out of here." He then ordered, waving his hand out.

"Leave him alone, you losers." Dan told them, which made their eyes widen and slowly turn their heads to see Dan standing there, frowned eyebrows and clenched fists.

"*nervous chuckle* Hey, Tennant. We were just uh, you know… making sure he was alright." J.T. tried to lie to him, but it didn't work.

"Come on, J.T., you really think I'm gonna fall for that. Now back off or I'll give you guys another round of atomic wedgies." He warned them and that elicited girlish screams as the two bullies ran away for their lives as the wedgies they get from Dan are downright life changing.

"Thanks for that." The teen thanked Dan who shrugged.

"No problem. It's fun making them scared. Anyway, see you after the summer." He replied, waving goodbye and the teen waved back as he walked off.

Dan stood there, waiting for his grandpa to pick him up. After five minutes, he heard the distinct sound of a vehicle approaching and he turned to see a distinct RV pull up and park in front of him.

The RV was old, having a red paint job with yellow stripes along both sides and on one is a painted black and purple silhouette of a figure that wasn't fully human and the other side had the name Star Angel painted on in black and white.

Dan looked through the passenger side window and saw his fifty four year old grandpa, Grant Tennant sitting in the driver's seat. He was very well built for a man his age as his muscles peeked through his short sleeve button up shirt and tank top underneath. He had short grey hair that was once dark, stubble and green eyes.

"Hey, sport. Hope I didn't make you wait too long." He greeted his grandson with a grin.

"Not really." Dan retorted as he opened the door to the RV and closed it back up.

"I'm so pumped for this trip." He said but then he noticed someone in the corner of his eye. He turned to the table and the window seats and saw his favourite cousin, Ashley 'Ash' Tennant sitting there with a smile on her face.

She's the same age as Dan, has short blonde hair, green eyes of course and is wearing a purple t-shirt, tracksuit bottoms and trainers.

"Hello there." He greeted her, imitating a British accent.

"Hello to you, too." She greeted back, also imitating a British accent before the two hugged. This was more than likely the reason why Grant took as long as he did, he was picking up Ash.

"She's why I'm late, Dan. There was some traffic to her school. Anyway, time to get this vacation rolling." Grant confirmed his suspicions as he started the RV and drove his way onto the highway, leaving Bellwood. Both Dan and Ash sat by the window seats, facing each other.

"So… how was school?" Dan asked, curious as to how Ash did since she went to a different school than him.

"It was good, still part of the martial arts club and the science club." She answered, pulling out a certificate.

"I even managed to get this for solving my chemistry puzzle." She added, handing the certificate to him to read it.

"I'm so glad they're not like those Tennyson kids." Grant muttered with a grin, knowing that those kids would've gotten on each other's nerves and annoyed each other.

After driving all day, Grant parked his RV at a campsite by a forest at night.

Both Ash and Dan sat on a park bench as Grant walked out of the RV with a bowl in his hands.

"Chow time." He told the two fifteen year olds, placing the bowl on the bench. They looked to see that the bowl was full of wriggling worms, which made them both cringe.

"What is that supposed to be?" Dan asked him.

"Marinated mealworms. It can be hard to find them fresh in the US. They happen to be a delicacy in some countries." Grant answered casually.

"And gross in others." Ash winced as a worm fell out of the bowl and slithered across the bench.

"If you're not in the mood for them, I have some smoked sheep's tongue in the fridge." Grant suggested.

"Grandpa, people like us don't eat exotic foods like these. We eat fries, burgers, pizzas etc…" Dan tried to argue with Ash nodding in agreement.

"I know. But I want you two to have an adventure for your taste buds. I'll just go grab the tongue." Grant replied before going back into the RV.

"And to think… all I have is a bottle of Coke, leftover sandwiches and a few cookies. You?" Dan brought up.

"A few candy bars and a bottle of water." Ash revealed.

"Great. We may not last the whole summer." Dan then groaned and slammed his head on the bench.

Back up in space, Vilgax still kept up with his pursuit on the smaller ship until a shot blew up the back end of the ship.

"Their propulsion systems have been destroyed." One of the robots explained.

"Prepare to board. I want the Omnitrix now." Vilgax hissed before the smaller ship fired back at the bridge, causing a large explosion to form, consuming the warlord. His ship then fired a beam back at the ship, destroying it. Then a pod shot out of the wreckage and made its way to Earth.

Back at the campsite, Dan was still sitting at the park bench while Ash sat on the ground with her laptop on. Grant was inside the RV, tinkering with something to pass the time until they roast marshmallows later on.

"Guys, I'm gonna go take a walk." Dan loudly informed the other two as he got up and headed off to the forest.

After a while of walking quietly, listening to all of the sounds of nature, Dan heard something up in the sky. He frowned, looking up to see something shoot through the sky.

"A shooting star?" He questioned before whatever it was suddenly turned and flew right towards him.

"Oh, crud!" He exclaimed in shock before he ran to avoid being hit. But then whatever it was crashed and the force from the impact threw Dan off the ground and his face planted into the dirt.

Shaking off the dirt and dust, he stood back up and walked towards the small crater that formed around the flying object.

"What is this thing?" He asked aloud before the light it emitted dimmed until it was gone. The ground then gave in and Dan crashed into the crater, smacking his knees, which hurt.

"Ow." He groaned as he got back up on his feet to see that the object looked to be some kind of circular pod. It then opened up and a blue hourglass shaped light formed until it shined bright enough to reveal the contents as some kind of watch. It was black and grey with white elements. There was a circular grey and black dial with blue dots on it with a blue hourglass symbol within it. And there was a blue button.

"What the…? Why would a watch be in outer space?" Dan asked further questions, getting more and more confused.

His curiosity got the better of him and he reached out for it with his right hand when it suddenly leaped onto his wrist and stuck on.

"Ahh! Get off!" He screamed, trying to shake it off and then tried to rip it off with his left hand but he just couldn't get it off his wrist. Not knowing what to do, he got out of the crater and ran back to the RV, hoping his grandpa could help.

Back at the RV, Grant stood and looked out at the forest concerned.

"Dan's been gone for a while now. I hope he's okay." He expressed his concerns to Ash, who still sat with her laptop.

"Don't worry, he knows how to defend and take care of himself." Ash shrugged it off, though she herself is concerned about Dan.

Back with him, he grabbed a stick and shoved it underneath the device to see if he could get it off but the stick snapped before he could make any progress.

"Dang it." He muttered in frustration, falling to his knees. Deciding to see if he can figure out how to use it, he turned the dial, causing it to shoot up with a circular tube revealed, having blue circuitry against black. The hourglass symbol then formed into a diamond shape with a silhouette of a figure that had fire emitting from its head.

"What the….?" Dan frowned, wondering if this figure is some kind of alien, considering this device had to have come from space.

Of course, deciding to see what will happen, he pressed the dial down.

This kickstarted a chain reaction where red rock formed, consuming the device before consuming all of Dan's body. Then magma formed underneath, causing veins to appear between the rocks.

His feet changed, now only having two toes and had an oval appearance. Of course, his head was on fire and the symbol of the device appeared on his chest, but was grey and white.

Upon seeing his new form, Dan initially freaked out, screaming at the top of his lungs, falling onto his butt.

However, upon getting over the initial shock, he realised he was perfectly fine.

"Whoa. I feel okay, I don't feel any pain." He said aloud to himself in an adult, raspy voice, like he was smoking too many cigarettes, as he examined his new form. "And I'm hot."

It took him a second to realise he made a double meaning with that and laughed.

He then spotted a dead tree nearby and narrowed his eyes in curiosity.

"I wonder…." He muttered, wanting to see what he could do with this new form. So he made a gun finger and pointed at the dead tree, shooting a ball of fire at it, blasting it apart.

"Wow….." Dan chuckled, now deciding to take it up a notch.

He formed a large ball of fiery magma and then threw it at a line of trees, blasting them apart as well.

However, Dan's eyes widened in horror as the ball of fire hit some healthy trees and they started to catch on fire.

"Oh, no…." He moaned as it now formed into a forest fire.

He tried stomping a bit of fire out, but all it did was increase the fire even more, now remembering that he's a very being.

"Oh, man… I am so busted." He muttered.

Back with Grant and Ash, they sat around the fire they made when they noticed a column of smoke from the fire Dan created.

"Grandpa, what is that?" Ash asked as they stood.

"The start of a forest fire, that's what. We're gonna have to inform the Ranger Station." Grant replied with a frown before his eyes widened. "DAN!"

Ash's eyes widened, remembering that her cousin was out there and may be in trouble. Grant ran and grabbed a couple of fire extinguishers from the RV.

"Here." He told Ash, handing one of them to her before they ran in the direction of the smoke.

With Dan, he just watched in horror as the fire grew bigger and bigger.

"Why did I have to turn into this form in the middle of a forest? Stupid!" He scolded himself.

Nearby, Ash was using her fire extinguisher to put out any fire in her reach. She then unknowingly came across Dan, who she shot some of the extinguisher at him, causing him to shout in surprise before turning to face her, leaving him wide eyed as she was frozen in shock before screaming.

"WHOA! Calm down! I know i look weird, but I'm not -"

Dan got hit in the face with the fire extinguisher, throwing him back off his feet.

He was in the middle of getting up when Ash shot foam at him, causing the fire on his head to be put out as he coughed up the foam that got into his mouth before frowning at Ash, his head now back to being on fire.

"I don't know what you are, but you should stay down if you know what's good for you." Ash warned him.

"For goodness sake, Ash, I'm not some mindless monster!" Dan retorted, shocking her as she realised it was her cousin.

"Dan? What the -? What happened?"

"As I was walking something was shooting down from the sky, nearly hitting me. It turned out to be some pod containing a device that looked like a watch, which latched onto my wrist. Soon I became like this and stupidly started a forest fire." Dan said in his rapid fire mode, knowing she could keep up.

"Ash, are you - What the actual hell?" Grant said, appearing and stopped upon seeing Dan's new form. Dan noticed this his shock wasn't one of never seeing anything like his form before, but one of recognition.

"Hey, grandpa." Dan said, ashamed and avoiding looking at his eyes.

"Dan? What happened to you?" Grant said, even more shocked.

"Now isn't the time to explain, we have to deal with this forest fire. Any bright ideas?" Dan replied urgently. Grant thought for a moment before an idea came to him.

"Backfire. You need to start a new fire and have it burn into the old one so they can snuff each other out."

"Of course, why didn't I think of that?" Dan said, smacking his face with his hand before he changed into the fire to do as his grandpa told him, while he and Ash ran away from the forest fire.

Dan ran all the way to a part of the forest that wasn't burning and jets of fire from his hands at the trees, starting a new fire.

A while later, a Forest Ranger arrived at the scene with his truck and got out to look at the area, shocked to find the fire put out, leaving burnt and scorched remains of the forest where the fire occurred.

Back up into space, the large ship hovered over Earth with the wreckage of the other ship hovering next to it.

Inside the ship, Vilgax was now in a Medi-Tube as he was severely injured. And he was informed by one of his robots that the Omnitrix hasn't been found.

"What do you mean, it's not there?" He demanded, sounding weak and raspy. He appeared, having lost most of his limbs. "This battle nearly costs me my life, and you say the Omnitrix is no longer onboard the transport?"

"Sensors indicate a probe was jettisoned from the ship just before boarding. It landed on the planet below." The robot pointed out.

"Go." Vilgax said to a figure that stood in the shadows. "Bring it to me."

The figure turned and left to do as it was told.

Back on Earth, Dan told both Ash and Grant, in detail, about what happened around the campfire.

"And this device sensed you and then clamped onto your wrist?" Grant asked, making sure he heard him correctly as Ash threw Dan a marshmallow.

"Exactly, so it wasn't really my fault." Dan replied, letting the marshmallow burn for a moment before eating it.

"Don't worry, Dan, I believe you." Grant reassured him.

"Do you think he'll stay like a monster for the rest of his life?" Ash asked.

"Ash, he isn't really a monster, he's actually an alien." Grant corrected her, causing his two grandkids to look at him suspiciously. How would he know Dan turned into an alien.

"Well, what else could he be, considering it came from outer space?" Grant pointed out.

"Well, I don't want to stay like this forever. I can't even do simple things like eat or read a book without catching something on fire." Dan groaned, placing his head in his hands.

"Don't worry, sport, we'll think this through." Grant replied.

However, the symbol on Dan's chest was beeping and flashing red before he was consumed in red light, blinding his cousin and grandpa.

It was soon gone and they looked to see that Dan was back to his human self.

"Oh, thank goodness." He sighed with relief, noticing that the hourglass symbol was now red instead of blue.

"Well, since you're back to normal, it would probably be wise to not mess around with that thing again until we know what we're dealing with." Grant said as he stood and grabbed a flashlight, turning it on. "I'm going to check the crash site. You two stay here until I get back."

He then left the two cousins.

Up in space, something shot out of the large ship, heading right for Earth, crash landing in the forest. It then splintered open to reveal that it was a large robot.

It examined the area, finding the pod that contained the Omnitrix, seeing that it was opened. The robot fired a laser at it from its hand, blasting the pod apart, seeing no sign of the Omnitrix.

With that, it then released two other robots from its shoulders and flew off to search for the Omnitrix.

Back with Dan, he was leaning against the Star Angel, the hourglass symbol on the device now back to blue, making him think that it must be recharging. He was also turning the dial, deciding to see how it worked, considering it was permanently latched onto his wrist.

"Oi." Ash's voice spoke, making him jump, clutching where his heart was, seeing his cousin appearing around the corner.

"Can you not do that?" Dan frowned before his attention was back on the device around his wrist.

"Grandpa said to not mess with that thing." Ash said as Dan turned the dial again.

"And not try to figure out how it works, since it's stuck on my wrist, yeah right." Dan said.

Grant finally found the crash site, only to find the pod destroyed.

He looked around with his flashlight, finding a fragment that he picked up.

"I don't like this." He frowned.

Both Dan and Ash were now back to sitting around the fire.

"Look, if I can figure out how this thing works, I will be able to use it to help people." Dan told as he kept turning the dial.

"Fair enough." Ash said as she was roasting a marshmallow. "So… what was it like… being alien?"

"It… was so weird. I still felt like myself, yet at the same time, it was like I was someone else." Dan replied.

He ended up accidentally pushing the button, which made the dial shoot up and the hourglass symbol changed into a diamond shape again, showing the outline of the alien he turned into.

"Hello… looks like I figured out how this thing works. Might as well do it again, just to make sure." Dan said, now turning the dial, showing other outlines of aliens he can turn into.

The following outline looked like some kind of bug, the next looked like a thin and raptor-like alien and the one after that looked like some kind of animal-like alien. He decided he'll try this one out.

"Are you sure?" Ash asked hesitantly.

"Of course." Dan rolled his eyes before slamming the dial.

His transformation starts with veins bulging with the device sinking into his body. His body then twisted and changed to be more animalistic at the same time as orange fur grew all over his body, even over where his eyes once were, also forming gill-like nostrils on both sides of his neck. Claw grew out from his paws and a shoulder strap appeared on his left shoulder with the hourglass symbol on it.

Dan slammed one of his paws to the ground and roared.

"Whoa!" Ash exclaimed, standing on her feet and coming up close to examine Dan.

"How can you even see with no eyes?" She asked, utterly perplexed.

Dan replied by moving his head to show off his gill-like nostrils, which flexed, indicating their purpose.

"Oh… you use scent as vision. Very useful." Ash said, making Dan nuzzle against her stomach before he leapt in the air and landed on top of the RV.

"Very impressive." Ash said before Dan decided to wander through the forest to test this form out.

He swung and jumped through the trees and stopped to have a moment to relax.

However, that moment didn't last long as he sniffed that something was stalking him.

He jumped off the tree in time to avoid a laser blast that destroyed the top part of the tree.

Dan swung and jumped through the trees again, each tree he used being blown apart until he hid from the robot, making it stop and hover, looking for him.

Soon, Dan leapt out of the trees and landed on the robot, causing it to spin and fire another laser before Dan bit off the arm that shot the lasers.

The robot now tried to slam Dan into the trees to throw him off until Dan ripped its head off.

However, it was at that moment the symbol on his strap started beeping and flashing red and jumped off in time to avoid slamming right into a rockface, which the robot slammed into, exploding on impact.

Dan jumped into a bush where he turned back into human form.

He let out a sigh of relief as he brushed leaves and twigs out of his hair and clothes.

"Whatever that thing was, it was definitely after the device." He said to himself.

But then his heart sank when he saw another one appear before him and pointed the arm it shoots lasers at him.

"Crap." Dan hissed, knowing he can't turn into an alien now that the device was recharging.

But before the robot could fire, a shovel swung in and hit it, denting it and making it crash to the ground.

Ash appeared, holding the shovel with a protective look on her face.

"Back off, toaster oven, no one messes with my cousin and gets away with it!" She roared before hitting it with the shovel several more times.

"Perfect timing, cus." Dan said gratefully before the robot caught on fire.

This told the two to run away, which they did as it then exploded into pieces.

They made it back to the Star Angel, where they waited for Grant to show up, Dan seeing what other aliens there were once the device recharged, which he did a couple minutes later, the two explaining what happened.

"I thought I told you to not mess around with that device until we know what it is." Grant sternly told Dan.

"Grandpa, this thing is stuck on my wrist permanently, so I have to figure out how it works, and now I do." Dan replied, making Grant raise an eyebrow curiously.

"When it isn't recharging, which is when it's red, you press this button to activate the dial." Dan said, doing as he said, the hourglass becoming a diamond and outlines showed up. "Then you turn the dial to choose whichever alien of the ten on here you want to turn into." He turned the dial, first showing the fiery alien, then the raptor-like alien, then what looked like an aquatic alien. "You then slam it down and become the alien of your choice before it times out."

"Do you think it's possible that you can become any one of these aliens permanently?" Ash asked curiously as Grant had a thoughtful look on his face.

"Maybe, I just need to spend more time with it to figure that out." Dan shrugged.

"Well, with something as powerful as that on your wrist, we need to help you learn to use it, and fast." Grant smirked, which made Dan smirk back, seeing that they were on the same wavelength.

Then the radio turned on.

"Mayday! Mayday! Somebody help us! We're under attack by some sort of - I know you're not gonna believe me - but robot."

"It must be another one of those things that were after the device. I need to help them." Dan said gravely, earning a nod from Grant.

The three made their way through the forest, Grant and Ash with flashlights.

They stopped when they were where the robot was attacking, Dan looking down at the device as it flashed blue.

Dan pressed the button, letting the dial shoot up, showing the outlines. The first that formed was a ghostly alien before Dan turned the dial, showing the insect looking alien and then showing what looked like a buff and tough looking alien that had spikes either on its shoulders or back.

"Let's use this one." Dan said before slamming down on the dial.

A crystal material formed out of his wrist and spread throughout his entire body, his eyes changing to being all yellow. His form changed, growing taller and muscular, his clothes changing to a sleeveless blue and white bodysuit with the hourglass symbol on his left chest. The spikes formed out of his back as well.

He didn't know why, but Dan felt like he was whole, that he was who he should be, as this form felt so natural to him.

"What can this guy do?" Ash asked.

"I don't know yet, but it won't take long to find out." Dan replied, his voice deep as he flexed his fingers, hearing crystal sounds with every movement.

At the site of the attack, there were fires from RVs being destroyed and campers fleeing for their lives.

The three showed up to see what was going on, instantly finding the robot causing all this damage, also noticing how big he was in comparison to the ones that attacked Dan earlier.

"Alright, I'll get gearhead's attention while you two keep the campers safe." Dan told Grant and Asho, who nodded and headed off to do their task.

Dan's eyes glowed for a second before he charged right into the action.

The large robot spotted a Park Ranger who was trying to help a young woman, who was on the ground. It picked him up, levelling him with its head.

"HEY! Leave him alone, tin can!" Dan shouted, getting its attention. It then spotted and honed in on the symbol on his chest, realising that it found what it was looking for.

With that, it dropped the Park Ranger and fired right at Dan's feet, launching him back into an RV, which it fired at, hoping it would take Dan down.

However, in the wreckage, Dan, on instinct, formed a sharp blade with his right arm and sliced out from where he was situated. He then looked at the blade and formed spikes, looking akin to a spiked mace.

"Sick." Dan grinned before he noticed the robot approaching.

Growling, Dan got up and charged at it, swinging his bladed arm, though the robot dodged it by leaping in the air, spun its legs and then landed on top of Dan.

"Crap." Dan muttered.

Meanwhile, Grant and Ash helped the Park Ranger to his feet, since he landed on top of his truck.

"What is going on here?" The Ranger asked them.

"You wouldn't believe us if we told you." Ash replied. "Now come on."

She and Grant ran off to the other campers and the Ranger joined them as the robot picked up Dan and threw him at the truck.

"Okay." Dan hissed, sick and tired of this thing beating him. He got off the truck and stood in front of the robot before diving to the side when it tried to shoot him, exploding the truck instead.

It then continued firing, trying to hit Dan, but he kept moving until the robot struck a tree, which was now falling right at a young ten year old girl, who looked at the tree, frozen as a statue.

"Oh no." Dan said, eyes wide before he ran in front of the girl and formed a large spike on his back to slice the tree in half.

"Get out of here." Dan told her as he shrunk his spike to the two he normally had. The girl did as she was told and ran away.

The robot then grabbed Dan from the back and then grabbed his left arm, more than likely to rip it off. But Dan roared as he formed spikes, destroying the hand., which made the robot shoot Dan right into a building.

Both Grant and Ash climbed up on top of a fallen tree, watching the robot make its way to the now destroyed building that was on fire, where Dan stood up, shaking off the rubble on his shoulders.

Seeing that it was about to fire at him again, Dan formed both his arms into blades and used them to black the shot, which ended up deflecting into various directions, a stray nearly hitting both Grant and Ash, which he noticed and realised he can use this to his advantage, though he was distracted enough to be thrown onto his back.

"That's it." Dan muttered again before he stood, changed his arms back to normal and faced the robot again.

"Come on! Burn one right here!" He challenged, pointing at the centre of his chest.

"Get out of there!" Grant called out as the robot charged up its shot.

The robot fired and Dan blocked the shot with both hands and dug into the ground with crystal hooks to keep him in place.

"Time for you to face a reflection." Dan growled through gritted teeth. He then shifted his hands to have the laser beam deflect and then moved to have it slice through the robot, causing it to explode.

"ALRIGHT!" Both Grant and Ash cheered.

"Way to go… diamond-headed guy!" Grant then said, making sure to not say Dan's name.

"Diamond-headed, eh?" Dan muttered to himself as he gave a thumbs up. "Yeah, Diamondhead's a good name for this form."

"Well, now that all of you are safe and sound, my work here is done!" He then called out to the campers before he walked off into the trees and out of sight.

"Who was that guy?" One of the campers asked as both Grant and Ash stalked off to join back up with Dan.

Up, over Earth's orbit aboard his ship, Vilgax was just informed of what happened as his ship was under repairs.

"Failure? Unbelievable! The puny Earth being that is keeping the Omnitrix from me will soon hang on my trophy wall." He swore, now that he knew of what happened to the object he desired.

Back on Earth, it was the next morning and both Grant and Ash were packing up, ready to get moving to their next destination for the summer.

But then Grant realised something.

"Hey, do you know where Dan is?" He asked.

"I haven't seen him since breakfast." Ash shrugged as she put a sleeping bag in the Star Angel.

But then they heard a distant boom, followed by the sound of something speeding right to them. They looked and saw kicked up dust heading right to them.

Seconds later, something stopped right in front of them.

It was another alien. This one looked very much like a raptor with black orbs for feet, a black tail with five blue stripes, three black fingers with bulky claws on blue arms and blue legs as well. The alien also had a cone-like black helmet with a protective visor on it. He was also wearing a black bodysuit with a large white stripe down the centre. Upon seeing the symbol on his chest, they recognised him.

"Dan?" Grant said before the visor moved to reveal a blue face and eyes, black lips and black stripes that go under and over his eyes.

"Hello." Dan said in a raspy voice. "Let me help you with that."

His visor went back down and he sped up the packing within seconds, leaving no trace of their stuff at the site.

"Fast little raptor, ain't he?" Dan smirked when he was finished.

The symbol then beeped and flashed before Dan turned back to normal.

"I feel like we're about to have a very eventful summer." Dan then said as he wiped dust off his shirt.

"To say the least." Grant smirked back.

"At least it won't be boring." Ash said. "By the way, where were you?"

"I just had to take care of a few things before we get this trip going." Dan shrugged vaguely.

It turned out that he went all the way back to Bellwood and messed with both Cash and J.T., leaving them hanging up on a tree by their underwear.

"Dude, how'd we get up here?" Cash asked.

"I'm not sure. It all happened so fast." J.T. replied.

"Hey, somebody, anybody!" Cash called out to a passing car, though they didn't stop. "Little help up here, please!"

Let's just say that no one helped them, since nearly everyone in Bellwood didn't like the two bullies.

I'm looking forward to doing this story, I have some plans to say the least, some of which came from the fact that we have all the other shows after this to help me make certain decisions.
