The Crystal of Truth has been healed, but life on Thra is still out of balance, leaving Jen and Kira worried for their future. Meanwhile, the urSkeks have returned to their homeworld, but that world doesn't feel like home anymore. As a new threat from beyond the stars endangers them all, they'll have to seek answers the only place they can be found: in the minds of the dead.

When a human infant is found within the Crystal Chamber, SkekZok takes it upon himself to raise her as an heir for the Skeksis. Now, that heir has grown up, and her life changes for the worst the day she witnessed a Gelfling being drained.

This is a continuation of the Netflix series "The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance". This is no way speaks to the rest of the Dark Crystal series. It follows Brea, Rian, Deet and all their friends as the weave through the Garthim Wars after the abrupt ending of the Netflix series. It starts right after the second battle of Stone-in-the-Wood and continues through to Jen and Kira.
