Author's Notes: This is an Adventures of Supergirl Spin-off on the seven years Kara, Mon, Brainiac 5, and other Vindicators spent in the 31st Century. It will eventually continue with a sequel to AOS Season 7. In this version, both Kara and Mon went to the future at the finale of SG Season 2. This project is out of appreciation for fans of AOS and to continue its promotion. It is a low priority fic as AOS editing comes first so reviews will be critically important for any updates. If you're not already familiar with AOS, you will be totally lost in the sauce as there are major differences in plot and characterization from CW SG.

3017

Mon raised two fingers to his forehead as the evaporating black hole in Kara's gut created a light as blinding as a star. The two of them then instantly appeared on Earth where Metropolis should have been. Instead, it was a wasteland with no vegetation and poisoned skies. In the distance was a high-tech city with a high wall.

"What is this?" Mon wondered as he didn't recognize the surroundings.

"I think I'm going to be sick," Kara said throwing up.

"That's gross," Mon remarked.

"You try eating a black hole," Kara said as she continued to throw up.

Mon tensed up his fists as he powered up to Super Insane. "I have become the legend. I have unlimited power now."

"Yeah, about that, you're going to need several more ascensions to get even close to me," Kara said to him.

"Say what?" Mon wondered as he went back to his normal self.

Kara looked around and noticed the moon was cracked open with a debris field orbiting around it. "I didn't hit it that hard, did I?" she considered.

"There's something off about this," Mon said using his detective skills.

Kara looked around not recognizing the landscape. In the distance, Metropolis was suffering from explosions. Fighter aircraft that resembled X-wing fighters were shooting lasers at each other. "Let's take a look," Kara said.

The two of them flew over to the city and found different factions shooting at each other with laser guns. They all had tan skin, were bald, appeared to be the same gender, and could only be identified by their clothing. Kara was shot in the crossfire, but it merely bounced off her.

Scores of humanoids were killed in front of them, buildings were wrecked, and vehicles were on fire. A combatant was suddenly shot in the gut in front of Kara. "Oh my...science," he said before he died.

"Well, that's odd," Kara noted.

"In the name of science, kill them," a faction leader said as he led his troops.

"Should I kill them?" Mon asked.

"Which ones?" Kara asked confused.

A crying child was walking into the street as lasers were being shot around her. "Holy shit!" Kara said grabbing the child.

The parent of the child came over to grab it. "Thank science," she said gratefully.

"Really?" Kara wondered.

The parent and child were suddenly blasted to bits by a plasma cannon. Kara turned to the shooter and blasted his cannon and vehicle to scrap with her heat vision. Kara walked over to the dying gunner. "Damn you, damn you, science," he said as he died.

"Seen enough?" Mon asked her.

"Yeah, I'm good. Let's go somewhere more familiar," Kara said leading Mon to the Fortress of Solitude.

SUPERGIRL

The Next Generation

"These are the Adventures of Kara Zor-El, to explore strange new words…to seek out new life and new civilizations…to boldly kick ass where no one has kicked ass before."

Fortress of Solitude

Kara and Mon arrived at the fortress and found someone staring at the computer screen. "It's been many centuries since someone has visited me here," he said in a robotic monotone voice.

"Yeah, no kidding. Look at this mess," Kara said as everything was in ruins.

"Who are you?" Mon demanded of him.

The figure turned around revealing himself to be a blue-skinned humanoid with three glowing orbs on his forehead and white hair on his scalp. "I am Brainiac five-point-O. I am the guardian of this ancient fortress," he said.

"Damn, I'm not that old," Kara said insulted.

"What year is it?" Mon asked.

"An odd inquiry. It is 3017," he said.

"Holy shit," Kara stared at him.

"Yikes, everyone you knew and loved is dead," Mon said insensitively.

"I'm going to go over here and freak out," Kara said walking off.

Mon eyed Kara as she left and turned to Brainiac 5. "What's going on here? We just enjoyed a battle in Metropolis."

"It is in their nature to destroy themselves. For centuries, I have done all I could to mold them by altering their evolutionary path. I have eliminated their racial differences by giving them all the same pigment, reduced their sexual dimorphism, and made them all pan-sexual. Yet, despite my best efforts, they continue to fight each other," Brainiac 5 said.

"Without condoning...or condemning, I understand," Mon said sympathetically.

"Okay, I'm back," Kara said reentering the conversation. Her hair was a mess and her eyes were red-shot. "Do you have files from the past? I want to know about Alex Danvers."

"Of course," Brainiac 5 said bringing her file up. "Alex Danvers was Director of the DEO 2018-2028, then appointed CIA Director 2028-2032, National Security Adviser 2032-2040, and became a professor at Yale in alien-human relations from 2040-2055. She died on July 4th, 2076," Brainiac 5 showed her Wikipedia article with multiple pictures of her aging throughout the years.

"Did she ever marry or have children?" Kara asked.

"No," Brainiac 5 replied flatly

"Damn," Kara said heartbroken. "At least she lived a long successful life."

"Relative to other humans during this time period, I would agree with that assessment," Brainiac 5 said.

"This is like the movie Aliens where Ripley finds out her daughter is dead but lived a long life," Kara said and then began sobbing uncontrollably on Mon's shoulder.

"It's going to be alright. Maybe we can clone Alex," Mon suggested.

"It wouldn't be her. This is all your mother's fault. I hate you, Mon!" Kara cried.

"I know you do," Mon said awkwardly patting her on the back like a baby. "We just have to make the best of a bad situation."

"What is the fate of the one called Darkseid?" Mon said eagerly.

"Darkseid was defeated and destroyed by Superman and a man identified as Chuck Norris," Brainiac 5 said looking up the article.

"No," Mon said letting go of Kara and falling to his knees in instant depression.

"I thought you would be happy to know this information," Brainiac 5 said confused.

"Looks like your little world has been destroyed, too. Not so funny now, is it?" Kara mocked.

"Give me a sword, so I can end my existence," Mon said sorrowfully.

"This sword is the sharpest of its kind," Brainiac 5 said helpfully bringing it over.

"Barney, do you have a penis?" Kara asked.

"No, I never needed it," Brainiac 5 replied.

"Okay, Mon, you can't kill yourself. I forbid it," Kara said to him. She then turned to Brainiac 5. "I want to know everything that has happened on this planet."

"And in 2445, there was a cataclysmic asteroid impact that nearly wiped out all life on the planet. The survivors rebuilt society as a one-world government," Brainiac 5 continued.

"Oh my God, I am so bored," Kara said staring up at the ceiling. Mon was already asleep.

"Interesting that you should mention a deity. That no longer exists in human society," Brainiac 5 said. "The new world government of 2450 collected all available information on every subject except for religion. All electronic archives of religious texts were permanently destroyed. Every book or parchment was also destroyed. This was all part of an effort to form a perfect secular atheist society," Brainiac 5 said.

"Well, did it work?" Kara asked curiously.

"No, there was a nuclear war shortly thereafter unrelated to the subject," Brainiac 5 said.

"Well, I practically memorized the Bible. It was something Jeremiah forced me to do as soon as I arrived," Kara said.

Brainiac 5 stared at Kara suddenly becoming interested. "You memorized the entire sacred text?"

"Well, the King James version anyway," Kara said nonchalantly.

"If you could recite it for me in its entirety, I could input it into the archives," Brainiac 5 said hopefully.

"Yeah, let's Book of Eli the shit out of this," Kara agreed.

"I do not understand the reference," Brainiac 5 said confused.

Once they were done, Kara drank a tall glass of ice water. "I made sure I memorized Revelation perfectly because there's a disclaimer at the end that says that anyone who takes away or adds to this book is royally fucked."

"That implies you didn't memorize the other books perfectly," Brainiac 5 said concernedly.

"Meh, more-or-less," Kara shrugged.

"Did you memorize any other sacred texts?" Brainiac 5 asked.

"Is that a trick question?" Kara grinned.

"I see that you are a partisan," Brainiac 5 realized.

"Well, no shit, Sherlock," Kara said obviously.

London, England

Kara, Mon, and Brainiac 5 sat down with the Immortal Seven, English lords that had invited her to rule the country in a well-to-do house. At present, Kara was in a state of mourning and not overly interested in planetary affairs outside of Metropolis. So, the invitation perked Kara's interest enough to attend and see what they had to say. The English Lords were led by Sydney, Russel, Compton, Lumley, Osborne, Cavendish, and Talbot. Of them, five of the seven were realists while Osborne and Compton were post-modernists. In any case, they were generally unhappy with the science council that dictated the thoughts and actions of every citizen in England. The realists believed in the scientific method and objectivity whereas the post-modernists believed in relativism and that scientific discovery was inherently subjective. The struggle between these two sides created civil wars in many countries and created a World War that coincidentally pitted 21st century NATO countries against BRIC countries. The resulting world war killed millions of people over the last few centuries.

Kara appeared in her black Supergirl uniform, Mon was in his Insane armor, and Brainiac 5 appeared as Alex Danvers in her DEO agent uniform.

"You have invited us here because you know our power, speed, and intellectual prowess. If you make us rulers of this land, you will be superior to all other nations and empires on the planet. We will rebuild your nation, provide for your people's needs, and end the infighting," Kara promised.

"Who is this woman that we may address her?" Lord Sydney asked of Alex.

"I am Brainiac 5. I apologize for the confusion but I am taking on the appearance of this woman because Kara is in deep denial that she died a thousand years ago," Brainiac 5 explained.

"How is furthering Kara's denial of reality going to help her come to her senses?" Mon asked him.

"Look, just because I'm in sweet denial that my sister is dead and lost to me forever doesn't mean I'm unfit to rule. I can compartmentalize shit," Kara assured the English lords.

"Before we go over the royal contract, we wish to bitch about what the last administration did as a reference to what not to do," Lord Sydney said.

"By all means," Kara allowed.

"Dispensing and suspending laws without the consent of the people, prosecuting people for defying the science council's teachings, by creating and using a scientific inquisition, by using funds not in a manner that they were intended for, by keeping a standing army in peacetime, by stripping postmodernists of their arms and arming realists, by not allowing free elections, placing corrupt jurors in court, excessive bail fines, inflicting cruel and unusual punishment, and imposing fines and seizing property before their convictions," Lord Sydney read.

"A lot of that...some of that...is fucked up," Kara agreed.

"I don't really see an issue," Mon said disagreeably.

"Of course, you wouldn't," Kara rolled her eyes.

"You have demands," Brainiac 5 assumed.

Lord Sydney passed him a datapad with the demands. Brainiac 5 glanced at it then handed it over to Kara to read over. She immediately began editing a number of sections to her liking. Brainiac 5 addressed the group on their first demands. "The Sovereign will propose, suspend, and execute all laws unless Parliament overrules the Sovereign by a two-thirds vote. The Sovereign may also veto legislation passed by the legislature."

"It will be difficult to impossible to muster up a two-thirds vote consensus in Parliament in such a divided country," Lord Sydney said after consulting with the other lords.

"I know," Brainiac 5 said coldly. "The science council will be disbanded," he agreed.

"I propose that neither the Sovereign nor Parliament be allowed to raise any taxes," Kara said.

"How would the government function?" Lord Sydney asked incredulously.

"Let me rephrase the Sovereign. Money will no longer be utilized. Instead, the economy will be run centrally by me. Each citizen will be given an allowance of goods and services, according to their rank, and according to whether I find them essential. As the economy grows, the pay grades will all collectively increase in the number of goods and services that can be provided. These goods and services will include food, water, utilities, housing, healthcare, education, security, judicial system, entertainment, etc.," Brainiac 5 said.

"What pay-grades would you give members of Parliament?" Lord Sydney asked concernedly.

"The equivalent of a senior prefect, an O-6. Be rest assured, you will be provided for beyond anything money can purchase," Brainiac 5 told them.

"Citizens shall have the right to petition the Sovereign or Parliament without repercussion. In addition, they shall have the right to free assembly, freedom of speech, and freedom of religion," Kara said after she had finished her editing.

"If the citizens can freely assemble and say whatever they wish against the Sovereign and Parliament, how will the institutions of government be respected? There will be mobs outside our offices and the media will lie and defame us," Lord Sydney objected.

"Let them. They're no threat to me or my power," Kara said dismissively.

"What if the people no longer cooperate with your system?" Lord Sydney asked.

"It does not concern us. Labor can be replicated via drone manufacturing of myself. What we need are land and resources. We will not force the people into our system. They may do as they please but if they are present on land we require, they will be evicted," Brainiac 5 said.

"There will be volunteer army but no draft. No one will dare attack this country once they know who we are. Additionally, soldiers are not allowed to force civilians to quarter them in their houses," Kara said.

"Oddly specific," Lord Sydney said confused.

Brainiac 5 eyed Kara as he realized what she was doing. "On that note, the right to bear arms shall not be infringed," Mon smirked.

"Parliament elections shall be free," Brainiac 5 assured them.

"Since you're giving us so little power," Lord Sydney rolled his eyes. "Why even have elections at all?"

"I like elections with all the speeches, mudslinging, and polls," Kara said brightly. "Bail fees, excessive fines, and unusual punishments are illegal," she agreed.

"What is considered unusual these days?" Mon asked curiously.

"Here is a list," Brainiac 5 said giving him a datapad of a list of recent executions and tortures.

"God damn," Mon winced upon seeing the list and then handed it over to Kara.

"You guys are fucking savage," Kara said shocked and appalled.

"Would you say that one degree below these sentences is sufficient to fulfill the cruel and unusual punishments clause?" Brainiac 5 asked.

"Yes," Lord Sydney shrugged.

"All trials by a jury of one's peers," Kara agreed.

"Who could be considered your peer?" Mon rolled his eyes at her. "You consider yourself above the law?"

"At least there is a law and not rule by fiat like your culture," Kara shot back.

"The Royal Family will be immune to prosecution within reason," Brainiac 5 assured them both.

"Nice," Mon smiled.

"You're not immune to me," Kara warned him.

"It is illegal to fine or seize the property of any person who has not been convicted," Brainiac 5 recited. "This is acceptable."

"Parliament should be held frequently to uphold the laws," Kara read. "Absolutely."

"What would be the point?" Lord Sydney asked.

"I like to be present for debates and dissolve you guys frequently," Kara said wide-eyed.

Fortress of Solitude

After the meeting with the lords, the three discussed long-term plans for the planet in the fortress. "Kara is obviously bat-shit insane She sees people that are not there, is frequently hysterical, and also a woman. Three strikes and you're out," Mon said insultingly.

"Why do you give a shit?" Kara asked crossly.

"I intend to rule this planet until I find a better one. Then, I'll sell it off to the highest bidder," Mon said ambitiously.

"I may not be entirely mentally stable right now, but I'm fully capable of killing your ass," Kara glared at him. "What is your ambition?" she asked Brainiac 5.

"The central planning economic model with me in charge intrigues me. It would be an interesting social experiment," Brainiac 5 said.

"But you don't really give a shit if we succeed or fail?" Kara asked.

"I don't give a shit about anything other than collecting data and, even then, I feel no emotional satisfaction one way or the other," Brainiac 5 said.

"I've lived on this world for several years and I have an emotional connection to this world. Therefore, I should lead seeing as how both of you don't give a shit about the people that live here," Kara reasoned.

"That only means you have no objectivity," Mon scoffed.

"There must be a balance between objectivity and passion," Brainiac 5 agreed.

"With the super-computer at my side, I wonder what I need you for?" Kara asked Mon.

"I was raised a prince with a royal hierarchical structure. I know royal protocol shit that you're completely ignorant in," Mon said.

"I'm a fast learner," Kara downplayed.

"You lack the experience to rule a people and you're soft. You won't make the necessary decisions to wage war and subjugate your enemies on this planet or any other," Mon said. "He may be as ruthless as I am but lacks my power," he said of Brainiac 5.

"I've killed plenty of fools," Kara objected.

"You're nowhere near my level," Mon said darkly.

"All the more reason I should do the galaxy and this timeline a favor and kill your ass," Kara threatened.

"I have instant transmission and no weakness to green rocks. I'm also a spare in case your enemies manage to kill you or you decide to kill yourself in your grief," Mon said rudely.

"Assuming you two worked together, Prince Mon would be an asset," Brainiac 5 agreed.

"More importantly, I have a dick," Mon said bluntly.

"Is that supposed to impress me?" Kara asked scornfully.

"None of these neutered humans will satisfy you. Only I can," Mon said confidently.

Kara instinctively used her X-ray vision on Mon to remind herself of this fact. "There are other aliens in the galaxy that could satisfy me that aren't genocidal assholes."

"A Kryptonian and a Jin-Saiyan could produce an heir with both qualities creating a new race that could conquer the galaxy," Mon said ambitiously.

"You want to knock me up? Is that your idea of a marriage proposal?" Kara scoffed.

"In Insane culture, the female proposes to the male," Mon corrected.

"Of course, in a patriarchal culture, you can't allow the males to feel embarrassed when they're rejected. How many females did you reject and break their hearts?" Kara asked accusingly.

"I lost count," Mon smirked.

Kara felt herself become aroused by Mon's arrogance and confidence. She was satisfied with him being her fuck-boy but marrying him was beyond the pale. She was Kryptonian, after all. "Are there any Kryptonian survivors that you know of in the galaxy?" she asked Brainiac 5.

"There may be," he replied coyly. "If they do exist, they haven't made their presence known with your kind of power."

"Even if you did find one, they'd be an insufferable nerd that wouldn't understand you the way I do. It would also take years of sunlight to match my power," Mon told her.

"A decision needs to be made. Time is of the essence," Brainiac 5 pressed.

"I'm going to consult Alex on it," Kara said leaving them and entering the hologram room.

Mon gave Brainiac 5 a strained look. "Until she gets her shit together, the two of us should rule this world."

London, England

At the Parliament Convention, Brainiac 5 outlined his central planning economic model and dictated the terms of Mon and Kara's royal prerogatives. Mon was present to intimidate members of Parliament into giving in to his demands but said little and looked fairly bored by the affair. After assuring members of Parliament that they would be given high ranks within the new system, Brainiac 5 outlined the history of England and what could be potentially achieved. Additionally, there was an alien threat on the European continent that was threatening to invade England. Parliament finally agreed that Kara would be Queen of England with all the powers that came with it.

"I will be king in my own right of this land as well as a joint monarchy," Mon declared to them all.

"If you were married to the queen, you would be made king-consort," Lord Sydney informed him.

"Ridiculous, king-consort," Mon scoffed. "In my culture, there is no such thing. Should the queen die, with or without heirs, I shall remain as king."

Parliament was in an uproar. "If the queen were to marry and have children with another man and should you marry have children with another woman, there would be two lines of succession," Lord Sydney said reasonably.

"I will have the queen as my wife and she will have my heirs," Mon said confidently.

"We declare that Queen Kara be sole ruler," Lord Osbourne of the post-modernist faction announced.

"If you do not make me king, I will leave this country in search of another that will appreciate my power. The queen to be is not here, I am. When the Mimics on the continent reach your shores, you're all fucked," Mon threatened.

Mon then left the House of Commons like a boss. Brainiac 5 eyed him leave and analyzed the debating parliamentarians as they discussed what to do.

Fortress of Solitude

In the fortress, Kara was in the hologram room with Alex. The two walked about in the forests of Maine Alex looked, spoke, and walked like the real thing according to Kara's memories. Kara then heard a whistling noise. "Do you hear that?" she asked Alex.

"Hear what?" Alex asked confused.

"That whistling," Kara said looking around for it.

"I don't hear anything...oh, shit," she said as she disappeared.

Brainiac 5 gracefully stepped on some stones across a stream as he went over to her. "I still need much practice," Brainiac 5 said of his whistling.

"You bring her back, asshole. You bring her back!" Kara shouted angrily.

"We need you back in England so you can be made the official head of state," Brainiac 5 told her.

"I don't give a shit about England or any other country right now. You bring her back!" Kara ranted.

"It's not her," Brainiac 5 said gently.

"I know that, damn it! I can't function without her," Kara said tearfully.

"You're not functioning at all," Brainiac 5 said to her.

"Fucking machine!" Kara spat.

"Does that trouble you?" Brainiac 5 asked calmly.

"A little," Kara admitted.

"Understood, prejudice is very organic," Brainiac 5 said smartly.

"You think yourself superior to me?" Kara challenged.

"I am superior in many ways," Brainiac 5 said.

There was an awkward pause between them. "You're no Pinocchio, are you?" Kara realized.

"I have no sense of envy or desire to be organic. If I did create an organic version of myself, it would only be to study it," Brainiac 5 replied. "In your arrogance, you think I should."

Kara grabbed him by the throat. "The humans can wait until I'm done with my visits with Alex."

"You're spending hours in this room without food, water, or sleep. You're self-destructing," Brainiac 5 noted.

Kara released Brainiac 5 and looked away. Clutching her hair, she unleashed an energy discharge that destroyed the room and instantly vaporized Brainiac 5. Once the light faded, Kara was beside herself among burnt crystals. Another Brainiac 5 walked over to her. "My family and friends are all gone," she said angrily. "All because of Mon's race. Fuck them all! Maybe if I had destroyed them all once they had arrived, the black hole would never have formed. Fuck, if I had destroyed them in orbit before they even reached the surface, all those people would still be alive. Instead, I ate and dined with them. I knew they were a threat but never thought they would actually attack. They even outsmarted me and nearly killed me that one time and then they kidnapped Alex," Kara recalled.

Brainiac 5 merely listened. "I should be the one dead, not her," Kara sobbed.

"Alex Danvers lived a full life. You are on the verge of death. Life and death are merely a matter of time. There was a time before you were born, a time when you existed, and a time when you will be dead, not always in that order," Brainiac 5 told her.

"Make me a time machine so I can go back or she can come to me," Kara demanded of him.

"I don't know how," Brainiac 5 admitted. "I don't think it possible."

'You're lying," Kara spat.

"Nothing would give me more pleasure than mastery of the fourth dimension. Perhaps, together, we can find the answer," Brainiac 5 enticed.

"You would string me along on a false hope," Kara accused.

"You're not wrong but you're also not right. I will investigate the matter. There is a race that glimpses the future. I will consult with them," Brainiac 5 said.

"The Naltorians," Kara identified.

"Correct," Brainiac 5 replied.

"If you can't make me a time machine, then clone her," Kara demanded.

"There is no DNA of her left I could use even if I wanted to try. It would still not be her," Brainiac 5 told her.

"Maybe she has a descendant among the humans we can take from," Kara considered.

"Unlikely. The human population was bottlenecked to seventy thousand individuals after the asteroid impact. After a thousand years, any descendant of Alex would be unrecognizable to you, especially after my genetic engineering of the species," Brainiac 5 said.

"Take some woman, any woman, and cosmetically make her look like Alex," Kara ordered irrationally.

"Kara, she's gone," Brainiac 5 said softly.

"No, no, no," Kara sobbed.

"You've gone through the three phases of grief," Brainiac 5 identified.

"I know what fucking phase I'm in!" Kara told him off.

"It's best if you arrive at acceptance quickly. The world needs...," Brainiac 5 said.

Kara suddenly broke off a piece of crystal and sliced her neck with it. She collapsed on the floor bleeding out. Brainiac 5 was immediately at her side, removed the crystal from her neck, took a healing device out of his utility belt, and zapped her neck with it. Upon sealing the wound, Brainiac 5 examined her vital signs. Kara was unconscious and looking very pale. Picking her up, he placed her on a bed and activated solar lamps to restore the pathways in her body so she could quickly regenerate the lost blood.

In her dream, Kara was dressed in white. "Is this heaven?" she wondered.

An older Alex appeared before her. "No, you're in your own hell. The Supergirl I know doesn't give up. Don't give up on this world. Don't give up on my world," Alex said to her.

"Your world?" Kara wondered.

"Yeah, my world," Alex said obviously. "Honor me by protecting and saving my world. Don't make my life in vain by allowing Earth to be destroyed."

London, England

Politicians and military leaders from the European mainland arrived in London with their troops for an offensive against the Mimic invasion. The Naltorian ambassador was also present during these discussions. Brainiac 5 was involved in the strategic planning while Mon went off to personally train an infantry company. In the war room, Brainiac 5 showed how far the Mimics had advanced on the continent on a hologram of the Earth's surface. The Mimics had taken the Netherlands, Germany, Eastern Europe, the Baltic States, the Balkans, and were making their way east into Russian territory. To the southeast, the Mimics had pushed through into Turkey, Palestine, Iraq, and the Caucuses.

The Mimics were currently stalemated at the French, Italian, and Greece borders with heavy human casualties at the front. Whatever human airpower was left flew over to London to avoid being destroyed.

Brainiac 5 held a meeting with Mon and the human military leaders of various nations on his plan. "I will now explain to you your roles during the mission to destroy the Mimic hive mind. Prince Mon-El will strike at the Mimics base as a distraction and keep them off-balanced. The human units will find where the hive mind is located based on their movements."

"You sure about this armor," Mon said, uncertain of Brainiac 5's custom-made Insane armor.

"Tonight is a good night to test it," Brainiac 5 replied.

"I never thought I would see the day I would be taking orders from a robot," Mon said snidely.

"It's time," Brainiac 5 said to them all.

Day 1

Mon took to the air and looked over the swarming Mimics as they prepared for another strike against the humans. Mon pointed his hand at the Mimic hives and fired continuous shots at the ground creating massive explosions in all directions. Having gained their attention, Mon tensed up and went Super Insane making himself a glowing orb brighter than the moon.

Humans in mech-suits leaped off transport vehicles and immediately faced resistance from the enemy. The Mimics fired off glowing blobs of organic projectiles down upon the humans. The humans hunkered down as they traded fire with the Mimics. On the other side of the battlefield, the Mimics fired at Mon from the ground. Mon powered up his golden aura and pointed at the Mimics.

"Big Bang Attack!" Mon shouted as he fired an orb of concentrated energy at the Mimics creating an explosion that wiped them all out. Mon then landed on the ground and sensed a squadron of flying Mimics headed his way. They were the same as ordinary drones but with dragon-like wings. Mon placed his hands to his side as he formed an energy sphere in his palms.

"Emak, Emak, Ah!" he shouted as he fired his most powerful beam at the Mimic squadron.

The Mimic drones exploded in the air creating dozens of fiery remains that landed back to the ground. As Mon battled the Mimic drones, Brainiac 5 discovered the Mimic Alpha in control of the drones in this particular sector. Brainiac 5 decloaked and fired his automatic plasma rifle killing several drone guards instantly. "Surrender, if the name Brainiac holds any dread for you," Brainiac 5 said to the Alpha.

The Alpha merely roared at Brainiac 5 in defiance. "I have no interest in engaging in conversation with you," Brainiac 5 said condescendingly. "My business is with your omega. If you surrender, I won't kill you. Unless you want your race to become extinct on this planet, do as I say."

The Alpha merely snarled. Brainiac 5 fired his plasma rifle at the Alpha blasting off its limbs. He then extended cables from his arm around the Alpha's neck to capture it. The Alpha then slit its own throat with one of its tentacle tails killing itself. Brainiac 5 retracted his tentacles and walked over to the body.

Day 2

Mech soldiers arrived on the battlefield only to be immediately ambushed by Mimic artillery fire. The entire air was filled with red-hot projectiles coming down upon them. The ground erupted with explosions all around annihilating the entire army. "This is some bullshit," one soldier said as they were hit from all sides.

"They have anticipated us," Brainiac 5 realized from his command center. "My entire plan has been seen through.

In the air, the Mimics fired on Mon from the ground. Tentacles came up from the ground, attached themselves around Mon's legs, and took him to the ground. Mon powered up to Super Insane and blasted the Mimic drones around him. Getting back in the air, he was intercepted by flying Mimic drones. Mon was continually hit and engaged by these flying monsters from all sides.

"Mon-El, come in," Brainiac 5 radioed and received no answer.

Mech soldiers approached the Mimic hive only to be ambushed upon arrival forcing their retreat. Brainiac 5 considered the situation as all of his human forces were either killed or were retreating. "Pull everyone back," Brainiac 5 ordered.

"That would leave Prince Mon-El out to dry," a general reminded him.

"I'm aware," Brainiac 5 said coldly. "This must not be our first attack. The enemy has reset the day because we were successful the first time."

In the air, Mon continued to have trouble against the Mimic flying drones and the ones firing at him from the ground. "Mon-El, give up and return to base," Brainiac 5 ordered.

"Things are that desperate?" Mon questioned.

"Yeah," Brainiac 5 said nonchalantly.

"I was once desperate, journeying in search of even a pinhole of light in the depths of a black hole but even so I never gave up. I was sure I would make it out someday and now, I'm even more egotistical, pompous, and confident than ever before," Mon declared.

"Very well, regroup," Brainiac 5 ordered his men.

As expected, a large European fleet of naval ships arrived on the scene. They began launching missiles non-stop towards Mimic positions. Brainiac 5 had brought the Mimics out onto the battlefield with a token sacrificial force so the fleet could wipe them off the field. The missiles rained down on the Mimics creating an instant bloodbath with Mon in the middle of it.

Day 3

Brainiac 5 analyzed the Mimic positions. Despite being baited by smaller units, the Mimics continue to hold a defensive position. "Prince Mon-El, proceed to scorch the continent."

"With pleasure," Mon smiled as he went Super Insane and fired a beam at the European continent that wiped the surface clean in fire. Once he was done, the entire European continent was red-hot from the beam killing every single Mimic, human, and lifeform.

Day 4

Brainiac 5 followed the same plan as before but this time the Mimics ambushed Mon from the air knowing exactly where he would be and brought him down to the ground. Mon put two fingers to his forehead and disappeared as the Mimics tried to tear him apart.

Brainiac 5 also noticed a new tunnel system underneath the ground. "It appears to have been built recently," he said as satellite images showed the before and after. Mon then appeared in the command center.

"Got any brilliant new ideas?" Mon asked snidely.

"Take me there," Brainiac 5 pointed to the map where he believed the Alpha was located.

Mon grabbed Brainiac 5 and the two disappeared and reappeared inside the Mimic hive. "Don't kill anything," Brainiac 5 instructed Mon.

The Alpha roared at Brainiac 5 as it came closer. "You can reset the day and I have infinite fire-power at my disposal. Even if you succeed, I will not let you take this planet," Brainiac 5 told the Alpha. Brainiac 5 then fired a single tentacle that pierced the Alpha's skull, accessed its brain, and made it go to sleep.

"Evacuate us," Brainiac 5 requested of Mon. "We need only keep itself from dying for twenty-four hours."

As he was about to, another Alpha on the battlefield killed itself resetting the day.

Day 5

Brainiac 5 analyzed the European continent and came to some morbid conclusions. "We should not attempt to defeat this enemy. Should we win, the enemy will simply reset the day and gain valuable intelligence on our capabilities. Instead, we should aim to lose while maximizing enemy losses. In this way, the enemy will not reset the day but will still sustain losses. In the meantime, we should evacuate the planet. Once that has been accomplished, Mon will destroy the planet. The enemy will not be able to reset the day when they're all annihilated together instantly," Brainiac 5 said to the European leaders.

"So, we can only hope to stall the enemy by throwing men into a meat grinder?" one leader said displeased.

"Crude but accurate," Brainiac 5 replied.

"You're supposed to be the most intelligent being in the universe. How has this enemy defeated you?" another leader asked.

"I may be the most intelligent life-form that has ever existed but the enemy has tapped into the fourth dimension which is time. There is no plausible way for me to defeat this enemy unless...," Brainiac 5 said and then turned to the Naltorian ambassador. "I seek a gifted volunteer from you. There is still a slim chance we can succeed."

"I have one in mind," the Naltorian ambassador replied.

Author's Notes: This episode takes from South Park, Star Trek, Edge of Tomorrow, and Code Geass while briefly touching on the English Orange Revolution.

*The Science Wars were a real thing in academia in the 1990s. Absurdly, the dispute ended up causing nuclear wars as a parody of religious wars always getting the blame, a critique South Park also remarked upon.

*In the Orange Revolution, William insisted on being made king in his own right in a personal union with his wife, Queen Mary, the daughter of King James II. When Queen Mary died, King William III then took the throne. Mon's role as king and/or prince of Earth will be a constant controversy.

*Whether B5 knew how to make a time machine at this point or discovered later is up to the reader's interpretation. It could be taken literally that he discovered the technology upon Kara's constant pushing. Or he knew all along and stalled it out for several years to gain Kara's cooperation. Or he knew all along but decided not reveal he did to preserve the current timeline.
