I actually forgot I had to post yesterday, but here it is!

To scrappy8: Thank you! I agree, poor Ginny! To Bladesunder: Thank you, I guess?

Chapter 4: Late Night Visitors

Boom! He jolted awake. Boom! The door shook with the force of whatever was pushing it. The past few days were a blur for Harry. Exactly as he had predicted, a week after Dudley's birthday, he got his letter. While he had been weighing his choices, he hadn't realized he walked right into the living room holding the letter in his hands in such a way that the green ink was clearly visible. Instead of Dudley seeing it and snitching, however, he was unlucky enough to get caught by his uncle.

Even though he did get a proper bedroom, he had been forced to watch Vernon burn the letter right in front of him. This happened for a few more days, as the letters grew most persistent. Ever since that day, he lost track of time, as they moved from one location to another. No matter where they went, the letters seemed to find them. He would have been amused, if not for the fact that Vernon seemed to have finally cracked. He always knew that his uncle was crazy, considering that he had bought a fricking rifle into a house with 2 kids and a woman, but he never thought Vernon would go as far as to taking them to the middle of nowhere. He didn't know where the hell they were, all he knew is that he was deep in a forest. Surprisingly, the letters arrived there as well.

His uncle decided to take them to the little hut in the middle in the sea that Harry remembered clearly. This hut was the place he found out he was a wizard, from Hagrid, his first actual friend. It held a special place in his heart, but that still didn't mean he didn't despise his uncle, especially for making him sleep on the floor with little to almost no coverings, considering that there was enough space on the couch. But Dudley had "claimed" the entire thing, meaning that he couldn't sleep on it, unless he wanted a beating from Vernon.

He had gone to sleep in hopes of a better morning, but he certainly didn't imagine Hagrid bursting the door down at... 12:01 am? He decided to act dumb to obtain all the information he could. He had no idea what day it was. It could very well be his 11th birthday and he would have no idea. Dudley had fallen off the couch, muttering stupidly. Not that his father was any better. He had heard a loud thud from the upper floor and something that suspiciously sounded like "Shit!"

"Hello?! Who's there?!" He heard from the stairs. Seems like his uncle and aunt decided to join them. Vernon held the rifle in front of him like a sword instead of holding it properly to shoot. Hagrid had been sitting on the couch while Dudley had ran and hid behind his mother, who being as bony as she was, couldn't do much. "Ah! Harry. Nice ter meet yeh. Now, I'm sure yeh know who i am?" Hagrid inquired. "Er, sorry, but not really, no." Harry replied. "What?!" Hagrid roared. "They didn't tell yeh?! 'bout wha' yeh are?! Wha' your parents were?!"He pointed at the Dursleys. "Er, what I am?" In his opinion, he was doing a fine job of acting dumb.

"Yer a wizard, 'arry." Hagrid declared. "What?!" Harry asked, aghast. "Erm, what's the date?" Harry asked nervously. Hagrid checked his watch and replied, "21st July, why?" "Just wanted to know." Harry answered. "I'm Hagrid, by the way. Keeper o' keys an' grounds at Hogwarts. Though I'm assuming yeh don't know wha' Hogwarts is, d'you?" Harry shook his head.

"Hogwarts school o' witchcraft an' wizardry. It's the school your parents attended. It's the school you're goin' ter attend, if yeh accept, tha' is." Hagrid announced. "If I accept?" Harry inquired. "Yep. 'ere's your letter." Hagrid said. He handed Harry an envelope. Harry cut the seal and took out the letter in it. As he read, he stopped acting altogether. He had forgotten what his letter said, but reading it again only reminded him of his entry to the wizarding world, and he couldn't hide his surprise and awe at the fact that he would experience it again.

He took out the extra parchment with the list of things he needed for the school year. "Where can I find these things?" He asked. "In Diagon alley. We can go tomorrow if yeh wan'." Hagrid replied. He nodded. "Alright, then. Get ter sleep. We 'ave an early morning."
