Sakura tapped her face after he'd left, as if trying to wipe it clean from the blush that had painted her cheeks. Then she stood up, took her bag and walked out. Right now she had lectures to attend and figure out a way to tell her friends about everything that has happened.

She hadn't reached half of the steps on the staircase when she heard people talking in the living room. She stopped. He's busy, maybe I'll just signal with a little hand wave that I'm off. She took a step forward only to stop again when she heard a very distinguished voice among the chatters.

Mr Hatake?

She frowned. What is he doing here?Is he a lycan too? No, I'm jumping to conclusions. But, just in case. She crouched on the stairs and listened to what the men were talking about, thankful that the pillar infront of her acted as a coverage.

She listened to everything they said, her reaction getting dire every time she heard something like Death, War, Alpha, Demons and something about a servant of a goddess dieing from holding a globe too much.

Her hand went to her mouth to try to keep the gasps that were threatening to come out. Apart from the disturbing information that the professor was saying, he was also a lycan!

A lycan has been teaching me all my life?! When he was always rushing out of class, was he on to some humans to feed on?! Is he the only one in the whole school?! Are there more of them?! Are there more creatures than there are humans?!

Am I some lycan's offspring too?!

The next thing that happened was something she didn't anticipate. The hair on her skin rose and a strong gush of air erupted her space. Before she knew it, her silver haired teacher was infront of her.

Her breath caught in her throat and she hiccuped. She couldn't breathe or think. She just stared at him.

"Huh?" His confused voice came out muffled behind the mask. "Ms Haruno, what are you doing here?"

A scared squeak made it's way out of her lips. She'd forgotten that Lycans had heightened senses and can smell her from afar. She tried to stand up, holding the sides of the rail for balance as she stuttered, but in a pitchy voice.

"I...I was just getting out of here, M..M..Mr Hatake." She walked around him and swallowed, before bowing and running towards the door to escape.

After she'd fled, Sasuke sighed and spared Naruto a glance.

The spiky blonde raised both hands and nodded, walking away. "I'm going."

Shikamaru looked from Kakashi to Sasuke and back, noticing he was the only one left. He hung his head and sighed. "I'll go with him."

Now they were alone, and Kakashi was still stunned. "You didn't tell her? My bad."

Sasuke closed his eyes as he massaged the bridge of his nose with his fingers. "She does, she just doesn't know about...", He motioned his hand around him and groaned. "...you. This is the second time she's fleeing."

"A run away Luna." Kakashi nodded as he walked to the couch he was sitting on before and picked up his green book. "I like it."

Sasuke narrowed his eyes.

"I'll get going now."

"You think?"

Kakashi laughed lightly before closing the door behind him, leaving Sasuke alone. Few minutes later, a message came through the mind link.

It is done, Sasuke sama.

Darkness washed over Sasuke's eyes as it glazed.

Good.

"Luna... Lu..." Naruto tried to call her as he walked after her on the pavement, grateful that she wasn't running.

Sakura looked behind her. "Why are you coming after me?" She asked but she did not stop walking fast.

"We thought you were running away."

She slowed down so he could meet up with her. She sighed. "At this point, I can't run away. I'm just finding it hard to believe that the professor is a Lycan. It's going to be different how I see him from now on."

She's behaving calm. He observed her carefully. "So, you're not going to try to run away?"

"I've decided to accept my fate. I might as well have mental derangement but I'm not complaining."

Yep. Too calm.

"Also, I'm curious. I've read multiple books on you guys but I've never got the chance to directly ask you what it means to live and survive in a habitat."

They say the only thing stronger than fear is curiosity. "It sounds like you want an interview with specimens you study in the lab."

"Oh, sorry, I sound like that. I'm just wondering if Mr Hatake isn't the only supernatural being I know."

Naruto chuckled. "If he's here, you can guarantee that there's a lot more of us here too, even vampires, werewolves and..." He shut up immediately when he realised what he'd just spilled.

"What?"

"What?"

"You said something."

"No, I did not." Then he stuttered. "I mean I did, but ...I did not."

She eyed him suspiciously, noticing how anxious he looked. I must not have needed to know that. She decided not to comment on it. "My dorm was blown up."

"Yes, I was there."

"Me and my friends shared a room."

His mate flashed in his mind. "Oh, you mean Hinata and.."

This time she stopped walking and frowned at him. "How do you know Hinata?"

He swallowed and blinked as he tried to make up something and escape her fierce green eyes that seemed to torture him. "I...um.. I... I met her at the funeral."

She squinted her eyes. "She was with me during the funeral, before your Alpha took me. Come to think of it, while I was at the hospital, you two were giving off this questionable vibe."

"Ah... you were probably too depressed to notice how we clinged."

"Nooo," she tilted her head in thought, "I'm pretty sure I know how..." Suddenly, she was being pushed towards the university's entrance, although gently and respectfully.

"Wow, will you look at that, Sakura chan, you will miss your lectures if you don't hurry up."

"No, wait..."

He quickly bowed to her and walked away as fast as possible leaving her standing there with her mouth hanging mid speech.

When he was sure he was out of her sight, he placed a hand over his chest and let out a shaky breath, only to raise his head and see Shikamaru infront of him. He jumped.

"Shikamaru."

The Gamma eyed him. "You seem guilty of something." His eyelids closed in slightly. "What did you do?"

Naruto straightened up and pretended to be calm. "Nothing..."

"..."

"Alright, I may have or may not have spilled a few things to the Luna."

"..."

"Don't give me that judging look, doesn't she have the right to know?"

Shikamaru shook his head. "What we need now is to not feed her insecurity any further. She's already on alert and afraid because we're beings who could overpower her at any point."

"She didn't seem concerned though."

Shikamaru sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose in worry.

Something is not right with him. I'll have to ask him about it later. She thought as she turned around, coming face to face with a familiar long haired man.

"Kosei?" Her eyes widened, shocked to see him before her.

He beamed and smiled, but it didn't reach his eyes. "Hello Sakura."

She noted on the sadness in his tone and also his appearance. He was wearing a simple shirt and pants but his eyes looked tired and his hair, which looked longer, was tousled. "What happened to you?"

He gave a dry laugh. "Family problems."

"You disappeared."

"I'm sorry about that. I had something to take care. Have you been well? You look troubled."

"Mind speaking for yourself? You look like you crawled out of a ditch."

He chuckled nervously as he ran his hair through his hair. "Didn't even see myself this morning."

"What?"

"Sakura." Suddenly, he was gripping both her shoulders and looking at her with all seriousness. "If anything is troubling you or you're uncomfortable about something, you can tell me right?"

She frowned confusedly, noticing the sad glint in his sunset coloured eyes. "I sparsely know you."

He forced a grin. But I know you.He let his hands drop. "Then let's get to know each other." He quickly added. "After classes of course."

Her eyes widened some more. "I'm freaking late." She looked at him, feeling remorse for him, even though she didn't know why. "I have to go."

He smirked. "Race you there?"

"Do you even know where?"

"Racing you there." Then, with a lopsided grin, he was off.

"Wait! Kuso!" Everything in her life was missing balance, but she still had to make it to class anyways.

Meanwhile, in western Isekai, at a richly distinguished minka, two Gorgons sat on a tatami matted ground. One, the leader of the Gorgons, was drinking from the fangs of serpopards, a designated cup set for the leader and the leader alone, while the other, a younger one, sat cross-leggedly with his claws on his knees, watching the former with keen eyes and a straight back, waiting for him to speak.

The older Gorgon took one last sip of the green serpent tea in the small cup before setting it down on the saucer, gently.

"You still haven't found her?" The leader, Hiashi, asked, his eyes lowered and his voice sounding as if it were made of myrrh.

"No, my lord." The younger Gorgon replied steadily, keeping a stern face as his pearl eyes continued to observe the leader.

"It's been three decades, Neji." Hiashi raised his head, exposing those intense eyes of his and the familiar irkmark between his arched eyes brows. "Are you sure you're not dwaddling in your work?"

Neji frowned as he lowered his head. "No, my lord. I am still in search of lady Hinata and I assure you that she'll be brought back before the fourth great serpent dance."

The dance was a celebration, which happened every decade, in honour of their creator, Medusa. They danced and drank, and mated a few times than normal on the day.

"Hmm." Hiashi hummed as he nodded slowly. "I should trust you on your word since your life is on the line."

Neji's sharp claws tightened over his knees so that it pierced the pale skin and encouraged dots of blood. He remembered when he had promised to offer his life to silver blades and poison if he didn't bring back the Leader's daughter before the fourth great serpent dance. They would pluck out his eyes and cut open his body to slits while he was still alive, like coyotes killing a hare alive even as they chased it by not attacking its neck first. That was his word.

"Yes, my lord."

"You can go." Hiashi told him as he picked up the cup again

Neji stood up, bowing as he walked out. "I will take my leave now."

He slid the shoji, shielding the sacred room from exposure and turned around, only to find his mate waiting for him on the engawa, with concern and curiosity.

"Well, what did he say?" She asked. Sometime ago, he had told her of his plan to keep the lady safe, meaning he wasn't going to bring her back even though it'll cost him his life, and she was worried to death about it.

He placed a hand on her elbow, and guided her gently, out of the house and into the open air. It took a while before he responded, and when he did, the scowl on his face deepened.

"He knows."

...

Kuso!- Shit!
