The hybrid book
"Hm? It looks like we have more company, and one of them being the wielder of Rekka." The Devil commented whilst glancing over his shoulder, a small smirk appearing on his face.
"What….is that thing?!" Mimosa thought, starting to gain a bad feeling just from staring at the Devil.
Saber and Brave Dragon quickly descended towards the ground.
"So, receiving help from the Megid wasn't enough, so you decided to summon a Devil." Nozel commented as he glanced towards Patry, but raised an eye-brow at the wound that Ryha has in his stomach.
"N-no! I-it wasn't…." Patry explained, but his voice died in his throat.
"Heheh. Whilst it was one of the newly reincarnated elves that summoned me, it was a separate plan than this act of revenge." The Devil explained, causing Nozel to blink his eyes before remembering something.
"So you're the third party that Floges mentioned." The captain of the Silver Eagles commented, causing the Devil to blink his eyes before starting to laugh.
"Neh, Neh, Neh. So someone else than those three noticed me 500 years ago, even though I was in my incomplete form." The Devil explained, before turning his attention towards Patry.
"Now, more importantly…..Come here." The Devil spoke, causing Patry to suddenly appear in front him.
"What the-?!" Saber exclaimed in a shock tone of voice, whilst the others became shock as well.
"Word soul magic! Whatever he says come into reality! Did he use that spell to re-create Ronne's switching magic too?!" Party thought before starting to become angry.
"Don't toy with me!" Party yelled as he summoned a light-made whip in his hand and throw it at the Devil.
"Vanish." The Devil said, causing the light-made whip to disintegrate.
"Iron spikes." The Devil spoke, causing spikes to suddenly pierce Patry.
"Gwaaaaaa!" Patry exclaimed in pain.
"Attack! The Devil is more of a threat than the elves!" Nozel commanded as he prepared his magic.
"You got it!" Saber responded as he activated his wings and launched towards the Devil, being joined Brave Dragon, who Nozel is still riding, and Yuno.
"So the descended of that human wielder of the four leaf clover Grimoire, the wielder of Rekka and the current host of the wind spirit are attempting to stop me. I don't think so." The Devil thought before speaking.
"Storm of blades." The Devil said and multiple bladed weapons appeared in the air and started to rain on everyone.
"Whoa!" Saber exclaimed as he swing Rekka quickly.
"It's all I can do to evade them, dammit!" Yuno muttered in a frustrated tone of voice.
With Nozel, he used his magic to create multiple shields around him along with creating armor around Brave Dragon.
The Devil remained where he stood as the three Magic Knights, plus the red mechanical dragon defend/dodge the storm of bladed weapons.
"Vacuum wall." The Devil spoke, causing the three Magic Knights and Brave Dragon to be slammed onto the ground by an invisible force.
"Be crushed. Smashed. Broken to pieces. Riddle with holes." The Devil spoke as the ground started to break.
"Saber! Yuno! Captain Nozel! Brave Dragon!" Mimosa exclaimed, starting to become very worried.
"Neh, heh, he." I'll allow no one to impede me." The Devil said as he turned his back to his opponents, having stopping his attack.
"Five centuries, they got in my way...and although I was close, my incarnation failed." The Devil begin to explain, an image of Lemiel and Licht appeared in his head.
"Back then, I set my eyes on you next! A new sacrifice, still young, beloved by Mana and easily swayed. Tragedy and a sense of a mission….that alone was enough to make you dabble in the forbidden life magic." The Devil explained and opened his arms.
"What….are you saying?! Licht was the one who reincarnated me...all of us! Even if doing so meant staining his hands in forbidden magic...he entrusted his last hope to us!" Patry said in a pained tone of voice.
"Wrong again. After all, it was I who reincarnated you elves." The Devil explained, causing Patry's eyes to widened.
"Wha…." Party muttered as he started to sweat.
"Your leader didn't want the human extermination. Restoring the elves, and that revenge you longed form….they're all false goals. You merely walked the path I'd prepared...neatly leading the other fools down it for me, you even got the Megid involved! In the end it lead you to the future Licht didn't want….and my incarnation." The Devil explained before starting to laugh.
"No….it's a lie, it's a lie. I'm like Licht. I was chosen by the four leaf clover!" Party muttered, attempting block the Devil's claim.
The Devil began to smirk.
"That's right. You were chosen. You were…..my brilliant, foolish pawn! Well done." The Devil said, his smirk widening before deciding to add more salt to the wound.
"By the way, do you know how I came into the human world in the first place?" The Devil asked, but Patry couldn't properly speak at this point.
"It was the Megid, the very same group that decided to aid you." The Devil responded before starting to laugh.
"Uh….AAAAAAAAAAA!" Patry roar in despair and just then his Grimoire began to change.
"Elves and humans...your dreams and ambitions make such excellent playthings!" The Devil exclaimed in an excited tone of voice.
"….Will you be quiet." A voice spoke, causing the Devil to freeze slightly before turning around to see Nozel, Saber, Yuno and Brave Dragon slowly getting up off the ground, the captain of the Silver Eagles being the one who spoken.
"You came out of nowhere and screw everything up." Yuno commented, his body shaking slightly.
"You're really tough, and you're scary, but….who do you think you are, anyway?!" Saber demanded as he used Rekka to aid him in standing up.
"You are complete scum." Nozel said whilst Brave Dragon roared in approval.
"My name is Zagred, human." The now known Zagred introduce himself, a slight angry tone of voice.
"Your name doesn't matter to me. You three, prepare to attack." Nozel said as he activate his magic again.
"Right!" Yuno responded as he started to charge up his Mana.
"The Mana that's welling up….is disintegrating around them….." Ryha thought in a weak tone of voice whilst mainly having his attention onto Yuno.
"We won't lose to you!" Saber shouted as the blade of Rekka started to glow bright red.
"That boy managed to awaken the unique abilities that are residing within the sword of flames. That must be how the human soul managed to overcome the malice-infused soul of the elf." Zagred thought, a small frown appearing as he glance at Rekka.
Saber and Yuno suddenly charged towards Zagred with Brave Dragon, who is being ridden by Nozel following behind them.
Zagred summoned the storm of blades.
However, Nozel was quicker, creating mercury-made shields to protect them.
"Sorry about this." Yuno said as he flew closer to Saber.
"Hmh-?!" The swordsman of flames exclaimed just as Yuno grabbed the collar-piece of his armor and the two suddenly sped about the place.
"What the hell was that?!" Saber exclaimed as he glance over his shoulder.
"I'll focus on finding a path through this weapons whilst you deal the decisive blow!" Yuno explained, causing Saber to start grinning underneath his helmet.
"Those two….Even though the wind mage doesn't know that the swordsman of flames still retains his human soul, he still trusts him….or is it just instinct?" Nozel questioned in his head as he glanced at the conner of his vision, his shields circling around Saber and Yuno.
The captain of the Silver Eagles had to hold Brave Dragon tightly just as the red mechanical dragon made a difficult move to dodge a series of bladed-weapons.
"I should focus as well." Nozel thought as he focus his attention onto Zagred.
"Hmm. Those two are fast." Zagred muttered as he watched Saber and Yuno fly about the place before glancing towards Patry.
"Its not ready yet….?" Zagred thought before sensing something heading straight towards him.
The Devil turned his head and saw a combined attack of fire and mercury coming towards him. "Vacuum wall." Zagred announced, creating a shield which easily nullified the attack.
"Tch." Nozel muttered in annoyance just as Brave Dragon circle around Zagred.
"Is that all you got, descendent of the first Wizard King?" Zagred questioned in a mocking tone of voice.
"Why you…Mercury Magic: Silver Spear!" Nozel announced, creating solidified mercury-made spears which he sent flying straight towards Zagred.
"Return." The Devil said in a lazy-like tone of voice, causing Nozel's attack to fly back towards him and Brave Dragon.
With quick movement, Brave Dragon moved to let Nozel's returned attack strike his new mercury-created armor.
Luckily, the red mechanical dragon didn't receive any damage.
"Thank you." Nozel said, causing Brave Dragon to growl in response.
"A typical behavior for royals, letting others be their sh/Hey! Captain Nozel isn't your only enemy!" A voice suddenly shouted, cutting off Zagred's thoughts just as the Devil turned his head just in time to see Saber and Yuno right in front of him.
Zagred didn't have time to react as Saber swing Rekka, cutting the Devil's arm.
"Yes! They did it!" Mimosa exclaimed in a relieved tone of voice just as Yuno separated from the swordsman of flames.
With Zagred, the Devil glanced towards his damaged arm.
"Heal." Zagred said whilst glancing over his shoulder, having an evil smirk on his face.
Saber and Yuno gained frustrated expressions on their faces as they and the others watched as Zagred's wound healed.
"You managed to wound me. Impressive. Two humans who both are possessed by elves beloved by Mana along with one, wielding the power of a spirit whilst the other wield Rekka, the sword of flames." Zagred commented just as Patry let off another scream of despair. Within a one of the entrances to the room, Rades and Valtos hid, both frozen in fear.
"What…..is that black thing?! Was it using Licht….the way that Licht used me?!" Rades questioned in his head, his face covered in sweat.
At that moment, the changes to Patry's Grimoire started to become clearer.
"When the bearer of a four leaf Grimoire is engulfed by deep despair….a five leaf Grimoire is born." Zagred explained as stared at the five leaf clover that has appeared on Patry's Grimoire whose cover has now changed to a darker colour.
"At last! I possess both my body and a pitch-black Grimoire….and I can manifest my true form and power as a Devil in this world!" Zagard said, an evil-like smirk appearing on his face, causing everyone else to become tense.
"Five hundred years ago, I did managed to create a Grimoire of despair. At the very end though, I met with resistance. And so this time, by using forbidden reincarnation magic, I mingled wicked thoughts with their souls, making it easier to steal their egos. I wanted stepping-stones to act like stepping-stones and allow themselves to be stepped on!" Zagred said as he took the newly born five-leaf clover Grimoire.
"Neh, neh, heh….Empty hearts are so simple! Ahh….for the sake of this moment...I've deceived, killed and plundered. What fun it was!" Zagred said in an excited tone of voice before glancing upwards.
"So the exit is up there, hm? I better take my leave then….." Zagred began to say but stop when he remembered something.
"Here. Your Megid friends gave me this when I was still pretending to be your elf friend. Now, go a rampage against those Magic Knights." Zagred whispered into Patry's ear as he took a something from nowhere and placed it within one of the elf's hands.
"Farewell! Have a great time surviving!" Zagred said before flying towards the hole that is located at the top off the room.
"You think that we just let you leave!" Saber shouted as he flew straight towards the leaving Devil.
However, before the swordsman of flames could get even close Zagred, something fast struck him, causing Saber to be sent crashing into the stone wall.
"Saber!" Yuno shouted, becoming worried.
"I…I'm fine! What….the heck…..just hit me…?!" Saber muttered, as he glanced down and saw that Patry's skin has turned dark.
"When an elf is brimming over with malice…..they turn into a dark elf." Floges explained.
"We need to finish this elf quickly if want to chase after that Devil." Nozel said as he prepared to cast a spell.
It was at that moment that Party lifted the object that Zagred gave him.
"Oh no….don't tell…." Saber muttered in a slight horrified tone of voice just as Patry open the cover.
"The opening of this book will lead to the world to be consumed by malice."
The Alter-Ride book announced before Patry closed the cover and placed it within the belt buckle that appeared, making a creepy standby sound to start playing along with a giant version of the Alter-Ride to appearing behind him.
After a few seconds, the elf pressed the button on top of the buckle, causing both Alter-Ride book to spring open, revealing an image of a person surrounded by a dark aura and three books.
Unleash the Demonic Force!
The Alter-Ride book announced, causing three giant Alter-Ride books to appear around Patry.
Fuse! Let the hybrid manifest into this world!
Demonic Hybrid!
There's no escape from this deadly force….
The Alter-Ride book finished it's announcement just as three Alter-Ride books merged into Party, making a darkish light to lit up the room, causing everyone to cover up their eyes. When the light died down, everyone saw that Patry is now donning black armor that has red gauntlets and leg pieces. On his chest and shoulders are three books, each having a different symbol on them. The helmet that Patry is wearing is mostly black with a dark red horn-piece sprouting backwards as well as two red eye-pieces which are glowing with malice. Finally, a scarf is wrapped around Party's neck.
"That armour is like the ones that Vetto and Fana wore." Nozel thought, remembering the report.
"Pat….ry….." Ryha thought in a weak tone of voice, starting to become worried.
"Demon Light Magic: Light Swords Of Conviction." The transformed Party announced in a dark altered voice, causing black swords to appear around him before suddenly flying towards the Magic Knights.
Yuno and Brave Dragon barely avoided getting hit by the swords due to increased speed of them, even though the red mechanical dragon had Nozel's magic to protect him.
"Black light! Talk about fast! Even with Mana Zone, I couldn't even evade all of that!" Yuno thought before flinching slightly as he realized that one of the black-light swords did managed too graze him.
"How is he even using spells without Grimoire? Is that armor of his allow him to cast spells without the aid of a Grimoire?" Nozel questioned whilst Brave Dragon circled around the room in a quick manner.
"Rhhhhhhhaaaaa!" Saber shouted as he launched himself straight towards Licht.
"If I manage to use Rekka's ability to disperse the malice from Patry, then we can end this battle quickly." Saber thought just as he raised a glowing Rekka.
However, Licht moved quickly, turning his attention towards the charging swordsman of flames whilst manifesting a black-light sword within his hand and block Rekka.
"The malice…..it's strong!" Floges said within Saber's head, sensing the quality of the Demonic Mana that is surrounding Patry's armor.
Party pushed Saber away from before lunging towards the swordsman of flames.
"Gah!" Saber exclaimed at how close Patry has came towards him within a mere second.
"Mana Zone: Spirit Storm!" Yuno announced whilst firing a beam of light, causing Patry to glance over his shoulder.
However, whilst Yuno intended for distract the armor-wearing Party to allow Saber to make some distance, the dark elf maneuvered around the attack and aimed at Saber again.
"Fire Magic: Salamander's Soul Burst!" Saber shouted before swinging a golden flame-covered Rekka, blocking Licht's sword.
"Listen! We have a greater threat to deal with, so please allow me to get rid of that malice!" Saber shouted in a slight pleading tone of voice.
"Hate….I hate…." Party muttered as he pushed against Saber.
Luckily, the swordsman of flames was saved when Brave Dragon let out a stream of fire from it's mouth, joined by Nozel's mercury magic.
This time, Patry moved out of the way and didn't chase after Saber.
"Thanks." Saber said as he glanced towards Brave Dragon and Nozel.
"You're planning on purifying the malice that is surrounding Patry's soul?" Nozel asked, making Saber nod his head just as Yuno appeared next to them.
"Yes, but I feel that I need to pour a lot more Mana for it to work though…." Saber responded as he glanced at the red aura that is surrounding the blade of Rekka.
"….." Nozel became silent as he gained a thinking expression on his face.
"We'll battle him whilst you prepare the final attack." Nozel explained, making Saber, Yuno and Brave Dragon to nod their heads.
It was at that moment that a large quantity of Mana suddenly well up from Patry.
"That's an insane amount of concentrated Mana! This is bad!" Yuno exclaimed in his head, starting to become tense.
"Stay very close behind me!" Nozel said as he began to create solidified mercury-made shields.
Doing what they been told, Saber and Yuno stayed close behind Nozel.
"Demon-Light Magic: Ray Of Divine Punishment! Die!" Patry shouted before releasing an massive beam of light.
"I hope Captain Nozel knows what he's doing. It was thanks to Gauche's magic that we managed to survive that attack." Saber thought, remembering that attack back at Nean.
When the attack struck the four shields that Nozel created, it split into four separate beams of light which bounced off the shields, striking the walls of the room instead.
"S-seriously?! Your shields managed to deflect that attack?!" Saber exclaimed in a shock tone of voice.
"Hmph. What do you expect? Metal is a reflective surface…..." Nozel responded in a calm tone of voice voice before noticing cracks on the metal.
"That attack will have consumed a lot of his Mana-!?" Yuno began to say but stop when Patry started to charge up again.
"Really?! He still have a ton of Mana left?!" Saber exclaimed in a shock tone of voice.
"I highly doubt that my shields can survive another attack of that calibre...luckily my preparations are completed." Nozel thought before controlling the mercury that he's secretly been producing.
"What?" Yuno questioned as he, Saber and Brave Dragon started to notice the mercury moving around the room before taking on a shape.
"Mercury Creation Magic: Silver Star Of Execution." Nozel announced just as Patry is now trapped within a massive cage of criss-crossing bars made from mercury along with some shields placed about the place.
The appearance of the cage caused Licht to stop charging his Mana and glanced around.
"This spell will cage both you and your light magic, and attacks you continuously." Nozel explained calmly.
However, it didn't seemed that Patry isn't listening as he started to fly about within the cage, attempting to find an escape.
Unfortunately, all of his attempts are proven fruitless.
"Die." Patry said as he created black-light swords which fired straight towards the three Magic Knights and red mechanical dragon.
However, the black-light swords struck the shields instead, causing them to bounce around the cage, striking Patry in this process, although his armor managed to protect him from most of the damage.
"Let your own deeds be your undoing." Nozel commented in a cold tone of voice as he and the others watched Patry getting attacked by his own spell.
With a roar of anger, Patry managed to make his black-light swords disappear before charging up Mana.
"Here it comes again!" Saber exclaimed, starting to become scared.
A look of concern also appeared on Nozel's face as he notice how damaged the mercury-made prison has become, probably from the Mana produced from the Alter-Ride book rather than the magic attribute.
"My mercury won't be to survive that attack. Need to make the cage smaller and create more shields." The captain of the Silva Eagles thought as he made the cage small whilst more shields.
"Even Captain Nozel is concerned about the durability of his magic." Yuno thought, him having notice the cracks on the mercury.
It was then that Patry fired a powerful beam of light and whilst most of it was contained in the tightly-closed cage, some streams of light managed to slip through, hitting the walls of the circular room.
After a few seconds, everything became silent.
"….." Nozel began to multiplicate the mercury, making the cage disappear whilst using the mercury to wrap around Patry, trapping him.
"Now. Time to get rid of the malice. Are the preparations completed?" Nozel asked as he glanced towards Rekka whose blade is covered in a bright red aura.
"Is he even alive?!" Saber responded back as he stare at the unmoving form.
"Just do it, Saber." Yuno said in a blank tone of voice.
"Okay, okay." Saber said before flying up to Patry and swing Rekka.
When the sword of flames struck Patry's armor, a massive amount of malice suddenly burst out it, consuming the swordsman of flames.
And there we go, the battle between the three Magic Knights, Brave Dragon and Zagred and then the dark elf Patry who don armor based Desast's status as a hybrid Megid. So with Brave Dragon donning armor itself, with the aid of Nozel, you could say that is a reference to "Dragonic Knight".
So in Black Clover, our attention returns to the Clover Kingdom where they have made preparations for the day of judgment, including informing the other kingdoms, yet there wasn't a panel for the Diamond Kingdom for some reason. When Lucius finally showed up, the person who made the first move is a resurrected Morgen...housing the incarnated soul of Lucifugus, who then attacked Jack. Other people who have been incarnated with purified Devil powers, that have been shown as of right now, are Moris and Acier! The chapter ends with showing us that Lucius has pretty much created an army of Paladins.
Wow, the final battle has a interesting start with the apperance of resurrected Morgen and Acier, has Lucius been "digging up" graves along with taking control of the entire underworld? Lucius certainly likes to put salt on the wounds, first Asta and Sister Lilly, Lucifugus being incarnated into Morgen and now Acier equipped with purified Devil powers, she already been suffering 15/16 years of her soul being held captive by Megicula, lay off her, Lucius! This act of mockery is shown with Acier's horns resembling pieces of a jester's hat, from my perspective anyway. Since people brainwashed by Lucius's magic retain their core personality, I wonder how the battle between Acier and the Silva siblings will go? I bet that she will be persuading them not to fight so that they can live as a proper family, especially Noelle, when Lucius's plan is completed.
I wouldn't be surprised if Lucius resurrected Richita, aiming to shake Liebe. If Lucius did decided to resurrect Richita, then he would need to alter her soul so that her life and Mana absorbing curse(?) won't cause problems. I have the feeling that the Paladins, plus anyone else who have purified Devil powers incarnated into them, will return to the land of dead after the battle, it will ruin the story otherwise. It could be that Astaroth's time magic will be involved, reversing Lucius's deeds. However, it won't be immediate as it will be nice for Asta and Noelle to have a normal conversation with their mothers before everything resets.
So in Geats:
1) The second mission of the JGP stars with it being a Sengoku game with the DGP participants role playing. However, after the usage of his Boost MarkII form, Ace fell unconscious.
2) Ziin started to ask Keiwa and Neon questions regarding Ace acquiring the "Boost MarkII" Raise Buckle, but the two DGP Participants only gave vague answers, causing Ziin to confront Niram who gave him a more concreate answer.
3) Chiram and Tsumuri went to the Jamato's base for the mission in order to take back the stolen Vision Driver, but were easily captured and Beroba copied Chiram's fingerprint.
4) Ziin confronted a awaken Ace and explained the (proven) theory that is Ace is a reincarnated soul, living lives within and without the DGP in order to reunite with his first mother, Mitsume. Ace marched into battle, despite the fact that he's suffering from the possible jet-lag.
5) As soon as Ace reentered the battlefield, he immediately collapsed and would have gotten killed by two Rider-themed Jamatos if it wasn't for Ziin interfering. Beroba appeared and transform into Kamen Rider Glare2. After battling, the Jamato captured Ace and the Rider-themed Jamato equipped with the "Magma" Raised Buckle fired a shot at Ace.
The rule for this mission is that supporters are not allowed to directly assist in the games. So like with all Rider's Super Forms, the Boost MarkII's is that it will drain the user's stamina. In regards to this, the Laser Boost Form will help to reduce the stamina-draining aspect.
