The returning legend
"N-Nero! Did you just t-talked?!" Sophia asked in a shock tone of voice.
"There's no time to explain. We need to go to the Demon's bones ASAP." Nero said in a tone that matches her blank expression.
"What is going on? Is Nero actually talking or I'm just tired?" Sophia thought as she glanced towards Finral and Langris before opening a portal where she walked through with Nero still on her shoulders.
When the captain of the Sword Of Logos and the now talking anti-magic bird exit the portal, they found themselves next to the giant Demon skull.
"Asta's village would be somewhere over there…" Sophia thought as she glanced in the opposite direction.
"We don't have time to linger about." Nero said as she flew off Sophia's shoulder and head into the Demon skull.
Becoming more confuse, Sophia walked in the Demon's skull and after a few seconds, her eyes widened when she saw the stone monument.
"Those….are the Magic Stones that the Eye Of The Midnight Sun and we have collected." Sophia thought as she examine the stones.
"Take all the Magic Stones out of this monument, and then set them in the statue on top of the skull." Nero instructed, making Sophia glance upwards.
"Nero wants me to place the stones into the statue of the first Wizard King?" Sophia thought before doing what she's been told.
A few seconds later, the two are now standing in front of the statue of the Wizard King.
"I put them in here…" Sophia muttered as she saw slots where she presumed Nero wants the stones to be placed.
"That should do it." Sophia said as she placed the final Magic Stone within the statue.
Suddenly, the statue began to glow.
"W-what?!" Sophia exclaimed in a shock tone of voice as she took a few steps back.
"That your seal has been broken...at long last, my seal with also…." Nero said as she started to glow as well.
"What have I done…" Sophia thought as she glance towards the glowing anti-magic bird.
"What a pitiful state you're in. if my spell only been flawless…" Nero commented in a sad tone of voice.
"No, it's thanks to you that I was able to return." The statue of the first Wizard King suddenly spoke, causing the captain of the Sword Of Logos to turn her head back to the statue. "Welcome back...Prince." Nero said to the statue who has a flesh-like texture to it's stone body.
"My apologies for the wait." Lemiel said in apologetic tone of voice.
"The stone statue came to life?!" Sophia thought, becoming more shock.
"Nero, what did you cause me to-!?" Sophia began to say but stop when she that once where the bird was hovering is now a young-looking girl with the same features as Nero along with wearing a black dress.
"….Nero?" Sophia asked, becoming more confused.
"My real name is Secre and for the last 500 years, I've been the form a bird whilst Prince has been sealed in the form of a statue." The now known Secre introduce herself.
"So the stones didn't place Mana into statue to make it alive, they released a seal on the first Wizard King….and Nero." Sophia thought whilst attempting to calm herself down.
"Hm? You're from the Sword Of Logos." Lemiel said, noticing the robe that Sophia is wearing.
"Yes. I'm the current captain of the Clover Kingdom's branch of the Sword Of Logos, Sophia." Sophia introduce herself whilst bowing.
"Well, It's nice to meet you, Miss Sophia." Lemeil said with a smile on his face before turning his attention towards Royal Castle.
"I sense magic that's not from this world. So he acquired a body, did he?" Lemiel commented, gaining a serious expression on his face.
""He"?" Sophia thought, becoming confuse before shaking her head slightly.
"If you need to get to the Royal Capital. Then I can open a portal." Sophia said as she began to cast a spell.
"Thank you for the offer, but let me handle our mode of travel." Lemiel said before creating a lance made out of light.
"When I was on the verge of death from my battle with the Demon, Secre used her sealing magic to seal me, and I've been asleep ever since. Then with the power of the Magic Stones, I managed to wake up, at least partially." Lemiel explained just as Secre took hold of one of his hands.
"What powerful Mana! It's like the elves….no, even greater than that!" Sophia thought as she started to sense the first Wizard King's Mana.
"You may want to hold onto me tightly." Secre said as she took one of Sophia's hands.
"What do you me-AAAAAAAAGGGGHHH!" Sophia began to ask but was cut off just as three of them suddenly flew though the air.
"H-how fast are we going?!" Sophia exclaimed in her head and just after mere seconds, they have already reached the Royal Capital.
"Sealing Magic: Inverse Release." Secre announced, causing the once closed door to the Shadow Palace open again.
"Sorry about this, Captain Sophia." Secre said before letting go off Sophia's hand.
The captain of the Sword Of Logos couldn't screamed as her mind was still catching up with her senses as she fell towards the ground.
"I got you!" A voice exclaimed, catching Sophia before any injuries could have occurred.
"Captain Sophia?! Where did you came from?!" Buster asked in a shock tone of voice, not realizing who was falling from above.
"I…..don't know….." Sophia responded in a stunned tone of voice, causing the swordsman of earth to gain a confuse expression underneath his helmet before glancing at the other surrounding Magic Knights.
On the top floor of the Shadow Palace, Zagred hovering in the air, watching the purple blob-like things seeping to the lowers.
"Neh, neh, neh. I just stay here and watched as the elves and humans get consumed by the powers of the underworld." Zagred thought with an amused expression on his face.
Yami and Charla have disappeared as they where forced back because of the blob-like things whilst Licht is stuck somewhere.
Suddenly, the Devil felt Mana quickly approaching the room and after a few seconds, Saber, Yuno and Patry burst out of the blob-like things.
"Thank god that's over, and not a single scratch on Rekka!" Saber exclaimed in a relieved tone of voice as he glanced down at the swordsman of flames.
"Now isn't the time to be protective of your sword." Yuno pointed out in a blank tone of voice.
"…." Saber didn't say anything as he frown underneath his helmet.
As to how to Magic Knights and elf managed to get through the blob-like things, Patry used his magic to create a shield whilst Saber transfer the power of Rekka into the elf's magic and Yuno acted as a generator to keep the Mana coming.
"Oh? You managed to get through the life-absorption spell and manage to undo the dark elf transformation." Zagred commented, tilting his head to the side slightly.
"There you are, creepy jerk!" Saber said as he and the other two got ready to fight.
"Where's Master Licht? He should be here?" Patry thought as he glanced around the room, starting to become worried.
"I should apologize, but I have no interest in toys I'm done playing with though." Zagred said in a not-so-apologetic tone voice.
The Devil suddenly twitched as he felt something heading towards them and after a few seconds, Lemiel and Secre burst into the room.
"It's been 500 years since we last met, Devil." Lemiel said as he made his light-made lance disappear and focus his attention onto Zagred.
"It can't be….To think that I'd be able to reunite with you two as well." Zagred commented as he recognize Lemiel and Secre.
"Hey, Yuno! Isn't that….?!" Saber asked, gaining a shock expression underneath his helmet.
"Yeah…..The legendary first Wizard King?!" Yuno said in a shock tone of voice, him and Saber recognizing Lemiel.
"Whooooooaaaaa! Are you the real thing?! What is going on?!" Saber exclaimed in an excited tone of voice.
"Calm down, Saber. This is completely not the time." Yuno said, yet his heartbeat quickened slightly.
"Wha…...what?!" Patry asked, gaining a shock expression underneath his helmet.
"They're…..?" Lemiel said, glancing towards the three, gaining a confused expression on his face, yet recognizing Saber's armor.
"They're Magic Knights who live in these era. They've worked hard to gather the Magic Stones and defend the kingdom. My Prince….before anything else, let's help Licht." Secre said as she glance towards Licht who has reappeared, probably due to the two new arrivals.
The pair flew up to Licht.
"It's likely that he reincarnated with his soul still bound to the influence of the forbidden magic. Licht's soul is definitely here, but he hasn't fully awakened." Secre exclaimed as he place a hand up to Licht's chest.
"Will we be able to wake him up?" Lemiel asked, becoming slightly worried.
"Leave it to me." Secre responded before placing her other hand up to Licht's chest before activating her magic.
A blinding light filled the room, causing mostly everyone to cover their eyes.
"Licht." Lemiel said before Lich's long-bladed sword started to glow.
"It's been a while, Lumiel." Licht said with a smile on his face.
"Neh, heh, heh, heh. I'm so glad you made it in time this around. You parted in such a sad way 500 years ago. All right then, I'll bury you both together next time!" Zagred muttered a malice-filled tone of voice.
With Lumiel, Secre and Licht, the three of them landed on a flying slab of stone where Saber, Yuno and Patry landed as well.
"….." Patry wanted to say something, but wasn't sure if Licht will recognize his voice.
"I know that its you underneath that armor, Patry." Licht said, causing the armored-elf to flinch slightly.
"From within my soul's deep slumber, I saw everything." Licht said, causing Patry to become silent.
"Five hundred years ago, we were undone by the Devil's plans. In the mid of that hopelessness, the one who kept me from hurting innocent people and from causing even more despair, was Lumiere. Patry. Even if you wielded your blade for what you believed was justice….to those you struck, it was a crime which can never can be forgiven." Licht explained, causing Patry to flinch again.
"However, even if they don't forgive you, even if you were wrong. I want to say this one thing…..I know that you tried your best." Licht said as he hug Patry with his free arm.
This cause Patry to start crying.
"What we can do now is fighting this looming, tragedy, without letting our mistakes break our spirit. Here and now, we'll put an end to those 500 years of ours." Licht said as he turned his attention towards Zagred along with Lumiere.
Zagred started to laugh.
"Yes, I believe we will. I'll swallow all your trivial little feelings...and that will be the end of it!" Zagred shouted as he sent some of the blob-like things towards the gathered humans and elves.
"Light Magic-Mana Zone: Lamp Of Avior gloria/Sword Magic: Origin Flash-Rampage." Both Lumiere and Licht announced at the same time, letting their magic to destroy the incoming blob-like things, shocking the others.
"It blew apart the magic from that world….which swallows magic from this one! One who used a forbidden spell of the highest order, and another who absorbed his magic. In other words, they've been affected by that world!" Zagred thought as he watched his spell getting destroyed.
It was at that moment that Lumiel appeared next to Zagred and threw a light-made sword towards the Devil.
However, Zagred narrowly avoided the attack, but Licht appeared behind Zagred and absorb Lumiel's spell with his long-bladed sword.
Licht then disappeared from Zagred's vision before swinging his sword, firing the attack at the Devil, successfully hitting him.
Lumiere followed up with his own attack.
"Whoaaa! Saber said in awe tone of voice.
"They're too fast! With attacks this swift and powerful, I can't field them with my word soul word magic as they come!" Zagred thought, started to become concerned.
It was at that moment that Lumiel fired a light-made sword straight at the Devil's chest.
"A light-made sword?" Saber thought, titling his head to the side slightly.
"Word Soul Magic:-" Zagred spoke and a trident appeared within his hands which he stab Lumiere with, cutting off his arm.
"Hehehe….to think that you'd be able to attack me thoroughly! I'd expect no less from you, but no matter how strong you two are, now that I have my body and a Grimoire, you can't kill me." Zagred explained, an evil grin appearing on his face.
"Not happening! Fire Creation Magic: Flame Dragon's Fangs!" Saber shouted as he flew up to Zagred, with the aid of Yuno before creating fire-made daggers which he sent flying towards the Devil who flew backwards to avoid getting hit the swordsman of flames's attack.
"You're okay, first Wizard King?!" Saber asked, glancing over his shoulder.
"This body is still holding, thank you...eh….It's Floges, right?" Lumiel asked, not sure if it's Floges possessing the current Saber or another elf soul.
"I'm hosting Floges, but I'm the human soul." Saber responded, causing Lumiel to blink his eyes in surprise.
"Storm Of Blades." Zagred spoke, causing bladed weapons to sent flying towards the two.
"Mo-" Saber began to say but was cut off as Yuno, Patry and Licht appeared and deflected the incoming bladed-attacks.
"Thank you!" Saber said in a relieved tone of voice.
"…..His magic. It's overwhelmingly vast, and yet it doesn't feel oppressive at all. It's like a well-honed blade. So this is the awakened elf leader!" Yuno thought as he looked at Licht.
"But what is it? This feeling….It's warm and nostalgic, unfolding…." Yuno thought, becoming confused.
"Prince! You arm!" Secre called as she flew up to Saber and Lumiel, using a spear has make-shift broom with Lumierer's cut off arm.
"Sealing Recovery Magic: Closed Sorrow." Secre announced as she healed Lumeil's arm back to his body.
"Thanks, Secre." Lumiere said as he flex his newly repaired arm.
"She can fix a person's missing limb to their body? So cool!" Saber exclaimed in his head before noticing something.
"Uh….Have we met before? I have the feeling that I should know you." Saber said with a frown underneath his helmet.
"….Just focus on the fight." Scre said, making the swordsman of flames nod his head.
"Hehehe. That's a rather impressive ability, isn't it? There was the matter of sealing me a while back too…..for magic of this world, I mean. And for a weed like the sort you find everywhere, one who isn't a four-leaf clover! Granted, now that I my body, it's stunted, worthless magic as far as I'm concerned, but even so." Zagred commented as he glance towards Secre.
"As if you can talk! You can't even exist unless you steal from others! The ones you looked down on and steeped on and toyed with are going to defeat you today!" Secre said with a glare on her face. Zagred chuckled at this.
"Then I suggest you hurry! No matter how often you break this spell apart, unless you defeat me, it will keep welling up." Zagred explained just as the mass of the purple blob-like things started to surge upwards.
"The only exit is in this room, on the top floor. If you take your time, your companions on the lower floors will be engulfed and killed you know." Zagred said before starting to laugh.
"You slimy little….." Saber muttered in a dark tone of voice.
"But even that pair's magic wasn't able to defeat him! Shallow attacks won't get through at all." Patry thought, gritting his teeth underneath his helmet.
"There's no need to tell us that. My companions and I….will now launch a full-forced attack that will utterly erase you." Licht said just as the long-bladed sword started to glow.
"Lend me your power." Licht said as he raised the long-bladed sword into the air.
Saber, Yuno and Patry started to glow brightly.
"H-huh?! What's going on?!" Saber exclaimed in alarm as he examine himself.
"You don't have to worry, Asta. Licht is using the power of the Demon-Dweller sword to combined the Mana with all the elves currently in the Shadow Palace." Floges explained, revealing the name of the long-bladed sword, just as a massive surge of Mana is felt and being collected within the Demon-Dweller sword.
"Take this. The wrath of the elves! Ultimate Sword Magic: Demon-Dweller Sword Conquering Eon!" Licht announced before swinging the Demon-Dweller downwards, bringing down a powerful slash towards Zagred, enveloping him in a bright light.
When the light disappeared, it revealed that a large portion of the purple blob-like things have been blasted apart and a large portion of the room's wall has been destroyed, revealing darkness.
"That spell…..was in a whole different league!" Yuno thought with a shock expression on his face, mirroring Saber's own underneath his helmet.
"I'd expect no less from Licht…..!" Patry commented before noticing something in the darkness.
"That's….the Devil's heart?!" Patry said as he and the others stared at a purple heart…..which is still beating.
Suddenly, a mouth appeared on the beaten heart.
"Heal." The heart spoke in Zagred's voice, shocking everyone.
"Didn't I tell you? You people….can't kill me!" Zagred explained just as his body began to regenerate around his heart.
"He's regenerating, regardless of the force of the spell and the damage that he took! How can we defeat him?!" Patry thought, starting to sweat slightly.
"How the heck are we supposed to kill this Devil?!" Saber thought, mimicking Patry's thought.
"Current Saber." Licht said, causing the swordsman of flames to look up at the chieftain elf and saw a bead of sweat trickling down his face.
"Yes, Sir?" Saber asked whilst becoming concerned at the state that Licht is in.
"How capable are you at wielding Rekka? Have to unlocked the hidden abilities within the sword of flames?" Licht asked, causing Saber to blink his eyes slightly.
"If you're referring to Rekka's ability to purify malice, then I have managed to unlock that ability." Saber responded, making Licht nod his head slightly.
"That ability is a key factor of our victor in this battle. You need to transfer that power to your spells as well." Licht explained, causing a small frown to appear underneath Saber's helmet.
"I've just unlocked this ability, so I haven't completely mastered it." The swordsman of flames explained, glancing down Rekka.
"Floges will help you, but you need to be quick." Licht explained, keeping an eye on the Devil whilst doing so.
"Huh? What does Sir Licht meant by that?" Saber asked Floges whilst becoming, since Licht is a sword wielder himself.
"…..Just focus on intensifying that energy." Floges responded before he and Saber started to work on increasing the purifying energy.
"So your trying to finish me off with Rekka's hidden powers? I won't let you!" Zagred said as he summoned the same trident as earlier and flew forwards.
"Intercept him and don't let that trident hit you!" Licht said, making the others nod their heads.
"Storm Of Blades." Zagred spoke, causing multiple bladed-weapons to fly towards the humans and elves.
Yuno summoned a strong gust of wind to scatter as many of the weapons as he could whilst Patry did the same with his light-made whip.
However, it was at that moment that Zagred suddenly appeared behind Patry and swing the trident.
Patry turned his head around just as the trident was just centimeters away from head, but luckily Licht pushed his fellow elf to the side and block the attack with the Demon-Dweller sword.
"You better be careful if you don't want to end as you dear friend." Zagred commented with an evil smirk on his face.
This cause a frown to appear on Licht's face before he push the Devil away from him.
Zagred then glanced towards Saber.
"Whilst not at a suitable level, I can sense that power slowly increasing. I should focus on taking him out first." Zagred thought before summoning another trident and threw it towards the swordsman of flames.
"Attack incoming!" Floges called, semi-breaking away from his and Saber's work, as he looked up to see the trident heading straight towards them.
"Darn it!" Saber shouted in his head as he was forced to break away from increasing the purifying power as well, using his wings to avoid getting hit by the trident.
"Hmmm. I guess that a new tactic is in order." Zagred commented in his head before activating his magic and purple snake-like things started to appear out of the blob-like things.
"Whoa!" Saber exclaimed as he began to dodge the snake-like things as thy lunged towards him.
As one was about to lunged towards him, Lumiel suddenly appeared, grabbing Saber and flying away just as the snake-like thing was about to bite down on him.
"Thank you, first Wizard King, Sir!" Saber called, glancing over his shoulder.
"This should make things more easier for you." Lumiel said with a small smile on his face.
"Right!" The swordsman of flames responded whilst nodding his head.
With the others, they attempted to kill the snake-like things, but to no avail.
"Dammit! Our spells don't work on the Devil's Magic! And even if I have my four-leaf clover magic..." Patry thought before starting to remember something.
"I should be able to cast it! This time in order to protect." Patry thought in a determined tone of voice.
"Demon Light Magic: Light Sword Of Conviction!" Patry thought before firing black light-made swords and this time, the attacks managed to destroy the snake-like things along with the blob-like things.
"Yes!" Patry said, becoming relived.
"Even though corrupted, you're still an elf who was chosen by a four-leaf clover. Well done, although at this point it's only thanks to your armor that you manage to cast that spell." Zagred pointed out in an amused tone of voice.
"There! It's done!" Saber exclaimed just as sword, armor and Grimoire started to glow brightly in a red colour.
"Great! Victory is almost in our grasp." Lumiel said as he felt the Mana entering his body.
It was at the moment however that a large snake-like thing lunged towards them.
"Move! Move! Move!" Saber shouted in a panic tone of voice.
However, before the first Wizard King could move, something destroyed it.
"Took you long enough." Yuno commented as he hover next to Saber and Lumiel, being the one who destroyed the snake-like thing.
"What's that in your hands?!" Saber exclaimed as he stare at the light green sword, that has a circular guard and an interesting design just above it, that Yuno is holding.
"This my new spell, "Wind Spirit Creation Magic: Spirit Of Zephyr"." Yuno announced his new spell.
"…..Did you copy us by any chance?" Saber asked in a blank tone of voice, referring to the Sword Of Logos.
This caused Yuno to snort slightly.
"Maybe." The Golden Dawn Magic Knight responded with a small smirk on his face.
"Just don't call yourself the unofficial Swordsman of winds, okay?" Saber said, a small smirk of his own underneath his helmet.
"What about me? I'm I considered the unofficial swordsman of light?" Lumiel asked in an amused tone of voice, referring to his light sword spell.
"Don't you start, Sir." Saber responded, causing the first Wizard King to chuckle slightly.
"All jokes aside, lets get this creep." Yuno said as he got ready to fight.
"Right!" Saber responded, gaining a serious expression underneath his helmet.
And there we go, the final battle against Zagred has started with Lumiel, Secre and a fully awakened Licht joining the battle.
In Black Clover, Yuno revealed a new spell, a star and wind spirit combined spell known as "Never-Never Land" which not only increases the Magic Knight's magic and decrease the enemies' magic, but also prevent Lucius from using his time magic properly. So this chapter shows how Yuno is basically the Black Clover version of Peter Pan, but on a serious note, this new spell tells us exactly why Lucius saw Yuno as the sole key factor in the Magic Knight's victory over him. On another note, I think that "Never-Never Land" should have been shown first before William promote Yuno since it shows the exact progress that Yuno has made rather than a large-scale defense spell. From the looks of things, Yuno is seriously in first place of getting the title of Wizard King.
In Geats:
1)It's Neon's birthday, yet she doesn't happy for some reason and whilst Keiwa and Ace go and find gifts for her, the next mission of the JGP starts, a bull fighting themed mission.
2) Keiwa became the "bull" and fought in the first out of three matches, yet was defeated when the Jamato used underhand means of winning and was captured.
3) During the break until the next mission, Neon encountered Kyuun and realized that he's her supporter, but got annoyed about the different personas that Kyuun possess, the one on writing and the one in person.
4) Ace, who have just met Kousei, approached Neon and talked about how her kidnapping happened 11 eleven on her birthday and after the following conversation, made the decision taking her place for the next match, annoying Baffa who was supposed to be his opponent.
5) During the match, Beroba decided to leak some info about Neon to the audience, revealing that she's a created from the powers of the Goddess of creation, causing them to start hating her with Neon discovering that she was created after the death of Akari Kurama, her predecessor who died during her kidnapping.
So the rule for this episode is that anything goes, as long as it makes people miserable. I think it would have been more impactful for the watches if we didn't knew about Neon's "birth" until this episode rather than earlier, but I guess that it explains why Kousei used the powers of the Goddess of Creation to create her, I think that many people speculate that he and Irumi weren't able to have children in the first place. Although a new question rises as in how Kousei even found out about the DGP and the Goddess of creation in the first place?
