Heading to the Strong Magic Region of bad omen
With Saber, the swordsman of flames ran through the archway and almost fell down a set of stairs.
"C-close one." Saber muttered before slowly descending the stairs.
After a minute of walking slowly down the stairs, the swordsman of flames find himself in a large square-shaped room where Falchion stood on the other side, standing in front of a Pedestal.
"Hey!" Saber called, causing the swordsman of the void to turn around.
"Oh, so you've managed to get past Ghost Phoenix, current Saber." Falchion commented, tilting his head to the side slightly.
"Do you really have to put "current" in my name?" Saber asked, sweat-dropping.
"Well, I was born in a different era." Falchion pointed out in a simple tone of voice.
"He does have a point..." Saber thought, before shaking his head slightly.
"You're not going to succeeded, Falchion. We will stop you." Saber said in a determined tone of voice.
This caused Falchion to snort slightly.
"You're too late, boy. I already have gained the cover for the "Grimoire Of Ruin"." Falchion said as he held up the arm that isn't holding Kyomu, showing that he's holding a Grimoire cover that is black in colour with the open book emblem in the center.
"Now that I have the two pieces, all I need to do now is to head to that place." Falchion said as he stared at the completed "Grimoire of Ruin".
"Like hell I will let you!" The swordsman of flames exclaimed as he lunged towards the swordsman of the void.
Falchion raised Kyomu to block Rekka before pushing Saber away.
"How good is his sword skills? Falchion has been sealed away for 1000 years after all…." Saber thought, becoming slightly curious.
"Void Magic: Abyssal Phoenix's Feathers." Falchion announced, creating black coloured feathers which he then fired towards Saber.
The swordsman of flames dived out of the way before his Grimoire opened.
"Fire Creation Magic: Flame Dragon's Blazing Flames!" Saber announced, creating a fire-created dragon head which fired a stream of fire towards the swordsman of the void.
"Void Magic: Abyssal Phoenix's shield." Falchion announced, creating a shield which nullified Saber's spell.
"He's an idiot. The current captain of the Clover Kingdom's branch of the Sword Of Logos would have told him and the others the aspects of what void magic is capable of-!?" Falchion thought before realizing that Saber is now next to him.
The swordsman of the void jumped back to avoid getting hit by Rekka.
"You used that attack as a distraction." Falchion commented as he look back up at the swordsman of flames.
"You got that right!" Saber said with a grin underneath his helmet.
"Hmph. Even so, you can't fight me by casting spells." Falchion commented before lunging towards Saber and swing Kyomu.
"Yeah. I know that." The swordsman of flames said as he blocked Kyomu.
The swordsman of the void pushed Rekka to the side before delivering a few slashes at Saber, all managing to hit him.
"Ghe." Saber grunted as he staggered back.
"Time to change my fighting style." The swordsman of flames thought as he took out "Saiyuu Journey".
"Oh no you don't." Falchion said as he ran up to Saber and swing Kyomu in a horizontal slash.
"Whoa!" Saber exclaimed as he ducked under the sword swing.
However, Falchion took the opportunity to kick Saber, sending him crashing backwards.
"Time to finish this." Falchion stated as he sheathe Kyomu into the Haken Bladriver before pressing the trigger.
Finishing Silent Reading!
The Haken Bladriver announced, causing the standby sound to start playing for a few seconds before Falchion unsheathed the unmarked blade.
Unsheathe!
Phoenix Unrivalled Slash!
Kyomu announced just as dark orange flames started to cover the black blade.
"Begone." Falchion said simply before swinging Kyomu, releasing an attack which took the form of a dark orange phoenix.
"I don't think that I can avoid this attack!" Saber exclaimed in his head as he attempted to stand up quickly.
Just as it would seem that Falchion's attack would strike the swordsman of flames, the "Brave Dragon" Wonder-Ride glowed and the red mechanical dragon materialized in front of Saber, letting the strike hit it instead.
"Brave Dragon!" Saber shouted in horror as Brave Dragon crash into the wall.
"Hmph. So your pet dragon take the attack instead…." Falchion commented in an unsympathetic tone of voice as he stood up from his sword stance.
"Why you…." Saber growled as he got back onto his feet and got Rekka at the ready.
However, the swordsman of the void remained relaxed.
"Now, I need to get going." Falchion said before a thought entered his head.
"Maybe I should give you a taster of what the Grimoire of Ruin is capable of." Falchion commented before letting go of the Grimoire of Ruin which started to hover in the air before opening.
"What is he planning?" Saber thought whilst becoming tense as watch and kept a firm grip on Rekka.
Falchion placed a hand on the pages of the Grimoire of Ruin and a few seconds, a wave of black energy burst out the pages.
"GHA!" Saber exclaimed as he got struck by the black energy before blacking out.
"….As….ta…..Asta!" A voice shouted in an echo-like fashion just as the ash-white hair teen's eyes flickered open.
"Er….." Asta said in a groggy tone of voice as he slowly becoming awake.
"Thank god you woke up, we were getting worried." The voice said as Asta sat up slightly and turned his head to the side to see that the voice belonged to Donna.
"Oh….Hi, Big Sis….." Asta said in a sleepy tone of voice.
After a few seconds, Asta's eyes widened as his brain became more awake.
"Sis! Are you okay?! Is everyone else okay?!" Asta asked in a panic tone of voice.
"We're okay, Asta. But you should look at yourself." A voice responded, causing the wielder of Rekka to turn his head towards the direction of the voice to see Ryo.
The comment caused Asta to become confuse before looking down at himself and saw that his skin has turned blackened.
"It looks like Falchion decided to give you a tase of the Grimoire of Ruin's powers." Tetsuo commented just as Asta shivered.
"How are you feeling Asta?" Donna asked starting to become concerned.
"I'm...feeling okay...?" Asta responded, yet feel unsure of his response himself.
"We better take you straight to Owen once we get back, plus get Mimosa." Ryo said, making Asta nod his head.
The wielder of Rekka glanced around to see that they're some distance away from the Dungeon's entrance and remembered his battle with Falchion.
"I'm sorry, guys. I'd let Falchion get the cover." Asta said in a disappointed tone of voice.
"Don't get all beaten up about it. Our enemy was tough." Ryo responded in a grim tone of voice.
This cause Asta to nod his head slightly before remembering about Silent Siren.
"Are you four okay, fighting that Siren-themed Megid?" Asta asked, causing the female Sword Of Logos Magic Knights to stiffen.
"She…." Donna attempted to reply, but couldn't find the words.
"She'd tried to grope my breasts!" Rin exclaimed, causing Asta to blink his eyes before starting to blush slightly.
"Pervert, Bakasta." Noelle said, glaring at Asta slightly.
"Sorry, sorry. So…..what about you?" Asta asked, causing the silver hair girl to freeze.
"….." The silver hair girl wanted to say something, but can't find the words to say.
"She got effected by the Megid's magic." Secre responded in Noelle's place, causing Asta to widen his eyes.
Flashback (start)
As Espada, Kenzan and Secre continue to fight the Silent Siren replicas, the walls suddenly collapsed into the "ground".
"What?!" Espada said in a surprised tone of voice just as the replicas backed away from her.
"There's the real one!" Secre shouted as she point towards the real Silent Siren who is still standing in front of Noelle.
"Get away from her!" Kenzan shouted as she lunged towards the real Silent Siren.
Whilst the swords-woman of the winds managed to destroy the replicas that are holding Noelle, without hurting the silver hair girl, she wasn't lucky with the real Silent Siren as she quickly sank into the "ground".
Kenzan turned her attention onto Noelle.
"Noelle! Are you okay?" Kenzan asked as she examine the sleeping expression on Noelle's face.
Kenzan felt the Ki of Silent Siren, causing her to turn around to see the Siren-themed Megid raising out of the "ground".
"What did you do to her?!" Espada demanded as she and Secre stand next to Kenzan.
"You don't have to worry, I've just put your friend under a sleep-like spell." Silent Siren responded in a reassured tone of voice.
"...You yourself didn't do anything else to Noelle, right…..?" Espada asked, although not really wanting to know the answer.
"~Maybe~" Silent Siren responded with a smirk on her face.
"What's that supposed to mean?" The remaining three female Magic Knights thought at the same time.
"Now then. Let allow you to have some fun amongst yourselves." Silent Siren said before clicking her fingers.
"What do you-?!" Secre began to say but was interrupted as she and the other two sensed movement behind them, causing the three of them quickly back away just as Noelle began to move, yet still in a sleep-like state.
"You want to us to fight amongst each other whilst watching?!" Espada asked as she glanced over her shoulder, becoming angry towards the Siren-themed Megid who hasn't moved from her spot.
"Whoever said anything about fighting?" Silent Siren asked back, causing the swords-woman of lighting to pale underneath her helmet.
"Back away, Noelle. I'm getting creepy vibes from you." Kenzan said as she slowly backed away from the mind-controlled wilder of Argent-Couronne.
However, Noelle didn't seemed to listen as she continued to walk towards the swords-woman of winds.
"How can we free Noelle from Silent Siren's mind-controlling?" Espada thought, starting to become worried that she may have to electrocute Noelle.
It was at that moment that the silver hair girl dropped Argent-Coronne and lunged towards Kenzan.
"W-whoa!" Kenzan exclaimed in a shock tone of voice just as Noelle opened her arms, seemingly planning on hugging the swords-woman of the winds.
However, before that could happen, Secre suddenly slapped Noelle, causing the silver hair girl to stagger to the side.
"Awwww. We didn't get to any of the fun parts." Silent Siren said in a disappointed tone of voice.
Whilst Espada heard the Siren-themed Megid, she was too stunned at Secre's actions.
Noelle's eyes became more awake as she regained her balance.
"W-wha…...what just happened?" Noelle asked in a stunned tone of voice.
"Yeah! Nice one, Secre." Kenzan said as she gave the Sword Of Logos sealing Mage a thumbs up, causing Secre to nod her head in response.
With Noelle, the silver hair girl blinked her eyes for a few seconds before starting to blush.
"W-what did you do to me!?" Noelle demanded as she glared at Silent Siren.
"Thankfully nothing, but you were about to hug Kenzan." Espada said in a reassured tone of voice, whilst this caused Noelle to become relieved on the inside, she remained glaring at the Siren-themed Megid.
"You are so dead." Noelle said as she walked up to her falling Holy Sword and prepared to attack Silent Siren.
However, before she or the others could move, a buzzing sound is heard, causing the female Sword Of Logos Magic Knights to become confuse just as Silent Siren took out a communication device from somewhere.
"Yes?" Silent Siren asked, although a part of her knew why she is getting contacted.
"I've got the cover. Time to leave." Falchion's voice came out of the communication device, causing a smirk to appear on Silent Siren's lips whilst the others became shock.
"I'm coming, just give me a few seconds." Silent Siren said before ending the call.
"Well. It look likes that time is up." Silent Siren said with a hint of disappointment in her voice.
"You're not going anywhere." Noelle said, making Silent Siren laugh slightly.
"Whilst I'm glad that you're so eager in playing with each other, now isn't the time. Bye for now." Silent Siren said before seemingly turning into water and melting into the muddy water.
Flashback (end)
"When we managed to exit the cavern we regrouped with the others." Secre finishing explaining the story.
Asta nodded his head slightly before glancing towards Noelle who has a blush on her face and if the ash-white hair teen focused enough, he could make out a faint mark on one of her cheeks.
"So what's our plan of action now that Falchion and his two Megid friends has the completed "Grimoire of Ruin"?" Rintaro asked, causing everyone to become tense.
"Captain Sophia said that Falchion will need to be a Strong Magic Region to be able to fully unleash the full power of the Grimoire, but it can't be any Strong Magic Region, right?" Donna asked, glancing towards Ryo and Tetsuo, the senior members of the group.
"You're right about that." Ryo responded before looking at Asta.
"Asta. Did Falchion mentioned about anything that can help?" Ryo asked, causing a thinking expression to appear on Asta's face.
"The only thing he mention was heading to "that place"." The wielder of Rekka responded, causing the wielder of Gekido to blink his eyes.
"So he's heading to a specific Strong Magic Region then." Noelle commented whilst feeling annoyed at the lack of information.
"Mr Daishinji, have you got any ideas?" Donna asked as she glance towards the wielder of Suzune who shook his head in response.
"Anyway, we have to inform Captain Sophia what has happened. It could be a chance that she may know something." Ryo said, causing everyone to nod their heads.
"This is troublesome news." Sophia said, her person showing through a communication device, a grim-looking expression being present on her face.
"We're sorry for failing to prevent Falchion collecting the second half of the Grimoire of Ruin"." Ryo said in a guilty tone of voice.
However, Sophia shook her head.
"We were just unaware that Falchion has cards hidden under his sleeves." Sophia responded, she being surprised at the fact that the swordsman of the void has two Megids to do his bidden, along with becoming worried for the welfare of the female Sword Of Logos Magic Knights.
"Do you have any ideas about where Falchion could be heading with the "Grimoire of Ruin"? From what Asta has told us, it sounds to be a specific place." Ryo asked, him and the others becoming anxious if Sophia has an answer or not.
"…..From what I remember reading about the "Grimoire of Ruin", the book is said to be created in a location known as Blighted Valley." Sophia responded with a thoughtful expression on her face, making everyone become relieve.
"I've heard of a location called Blighted Valley, it's well known for being a bad omen for those who come across it." Donna said with a frown on her face.
"Yes, and it's also a Strong Magic Region from what I've remembered reading." Tetsuo added, making Donna nod her head slightly.
"Then your course of action is clear. Head to Blighted Valley and stop Falchion at all costs." Sophia said in a serious tone of voice, making everyone nod their heads before ending the call.
"Right! Lets start moving to Blighted Valley-hm?" Ryo began to say before noticing Asta's and Noelle's facial expressions.
"Asta, Noelle…..are you two okay?" Secre asked, starting to become worried as she saw how the wielder of Rekka and the wielder of Argent-Couronne are both pale.
"Y-yes, w-we're okay. Aren't we, A-Asta?" Noelle asked, her voice shaking slightly, as she glanced towards Asta.
"Y-yes, absolutely." Asta responded, also in a shaky tone of voice.
"Hahahaha! Both of you are scared of going to Blighted Valley!" Rin said with a big grin on her face.
"They're not the only ones." Rintaro thought, noticing how one of Rin's hands shaking.
After the Sword Of Logos Magic Knights have exited the jungle and reclaim their broom-sticks, they immediately headed of in the direction of Blighted Valley, using a Magic Item which shows the map of Wonder World.
However, the journey to the Strong Magic Region will take them days, even with the aid of the Mana in the air that can used as slip-streams.
Despite the distance they had to travel, they are determined at stopping Falchion at all costs.
"So, this is Blighted Valley." Secre said as she and the other Sword Of Logos Magic Knights stood on the outskirts of a valley which looks bleak and even from the place they stood, they can see that the trees look dead.
"Even just standing on the outskirts of the Strong Magic Region is giving me the creeps." Donna said before shivering slightly.
"Come on, we have a swordsman to bring down." Ryo started to head down the cliff that he and the other are standing on.
Meanwhile, Bahato is standing on a raised piece of land within Blighted Valley whilst Ghost Phoenix and Silent Siren stood some distance away.
"Now, Let the path of ruin begin." The swordsman of the void said as he opened the completed form of the "Grimoire of Ruin" where the text within the pages began to glow.
And there we go, the gang failed to stop Falchion/Bahato from getting his hands on the cover of the Grimoire of Ruin and are now arrived at the Strong Magic Region known as Blighted Valley, the birth place of the Grimoire of Ruin.
So in Black Clover, the battle shifts to the Silver Eagles where the Paladin version of Acier has become disappointed in Nebra and Solid at how they let their arrogance and anger to warp their strength and blame herself for that. Acier then explained that they can start over again when Lucius's desired world is created which Solid found enticing, but his train of thoughts were interrupted as Noelle suddenly appeared where Acier greeted her and commented on how Noelle resembles her during her youth. A flashback starts where it shows a depressed Noelle being encountered by Kahono who explains that a crisis has appeared in the Seabed Temple which takes on the form of the awakening of the Sea God. Noelle activates her newly gained spell, Valkyrie armor: Dragon Form, which she gained by making a contract with the sea god Leviathan.
Well, this chapter certainty interesting with Noelle gaining a new spell by form a contract with a dragon/sea god! Although this does put me in a slight predicament since there is a Wonder-Ride book based around Leviathan, but I think that I can manage to work around this issue. With the form having a dragon motif, I can see this story version of Noelle getting teased, mostly by Rin, about how she and Asta will make a "good couple". This does raise the possibilities that they could be other magical beings that Mages can make contracts with to gain powers similar to that of a spirit.
In Geats:
1) Sueru announces the a new mission featuring in the Desire Royale which involves the Kamen Rider collecting as many ID Cores as possible within three days with the Rider who has collected the most be giving the power to remove a Rider out of the Desire Royale of their choice before teleporting them to the playing field where Neon and Sara team up.
2) The two are encountered by Michinaga who then started to fight them, but the two female Kamen Riders had help in the form of Tycoon...who have been stalking them and decided to hid his presence. Nadge-Sparrow fought a pack of Jamatos before encountering Ace where he attempted to convince Ace of teaming up to defeat Buffa, but was declined as Ace started to fight him before deciding to retreat.
3) During the resting phase of the first day of the mission, Daichi started to act "friendly" towards Neon and Sara before the three of them meet Sara's supporter...who is in fact was Keiwa hiding and using a statue of a tanuki called Ponchicchi and warned Sara about Daichi's tactics which managed to fool Tycoon in the past. Ace and Michinaga have a conversation where they formed a mutual understanding on how both of them desire a world without DGP.
4) Tsumuri started to question Sueru's decision of making the participants fight each other with Sueru himself stating that the "animals" don't have a bait anymore and planning on moving the DGP to a different world. With the participants, Daichi told a location where they can likely collect a good number of ID Cores whilst Daichi himself will draw Ace and Michinaga away from the location. Whilst Neon and Sara searched the location that Daichi pointed out, Ace approached them and explain how Daichi duped them again.
5) With Daichi himself, he encountered Michinaga before the two fought each and Nadge-Sparrow lost with Buffa claiming his ID Core, but was ambushed by the Dunkleosteus Jamato who claimed Nadge-Sparrow's ID Core himself. With Tsumuri, she was approached by Niram and Win with Niram starting to make preparations for the DGP to leave the world.
The rule for this episode is that when the DGP ends, all facts and memories pertaining to the Desire Grand Prix will be erased from the world. So despite Sueru setting up the Desire Royale in order to determine if the DGP should remain or disappear, it will just relocate to a different world, thus having a single outcome and when Ace, and very likely the others, learns about this, he will certainly double his efforts in order to rescue Mitsume. Whilst I'm happy that Daichi is finally gone for good, I'm feeling disappointed that he did very little when got recruited by Beroba, all he did was pretty much observe the ongoing events. It's good to see that Win is coming back and seemingly going to tell Ace some key information before the DGP disappears.
