The news spread
At the Headquarters of the Blue Rose Magic Knights, Charlotte was deep in her thoughts, too distracted to do the work that she's supposed to be doing.
"Both Captain Sophia and Asta have gone missing." Charlotte thought, becoming worried along with becoming slightly annoyed at Nozel since it was the captain of the Silver Eagles who told Asta to chase after Calibur by himself.
"Next time I seem, I'll strangle him with my briar." The captain of the Blue Rose muttered whilst gaining a dark aura around her.
It was at that moment that loud noises can be heard, causing Charlotte to snap out of her thoughts.
"What's going on out there?!" Charlotte thought, becoming on guard whilst bringing an arm to her Grimoire holder and standing up.
After a few seconds, loud banging is heard against the door to Charlotte's office.
"Yes, whose th-!" The Blue Rose Magic Knight captain began to say but was cut off as the door flung open.
"Sol?! What's got into you?!" Charlotte asked, becoming alarmed that her fellow squad member would act in such a manner.
"S-sorry Char! But this just came." Sol said as she walked up to Charlotte's desk and placed the newspaper on the table.
"Did something happened in the Cl-!?" Charlotte began to ask but stopped herself when her eyes fell on the front page.
"Asta Staria: threat to the Clover Kingdom?! What?!" Charlotte read the headline and her eyes widened.
"This can't be right, Char. It must be some mistake." Sol said, she still being in her own state of shock.
Charlotte opened the newspaper to further read on the article.
"Asta Staria, a member of the mysterious Sword Of Logos Magic Knight squad, has been found guilty by the Magic Parliament of threatening the peace of the Clover Kingdom….." Charlotte began to say before trailing off and scan the rest of the article.
"I need to speak to Ryo about this." Charlotte thought, starting to become baffled by the newly received news.
"What is going on?!" Charlotte exclaimed as she stand in front of her husband, she deciding to travel to the Sword Of Logos herself rather than reaching Ryo through a communication device.
"I-I don't know myself." Ryo said, him being in a state of shock at Charlotte's sudden appearance at the headquarters of the Sword Of Logos.
Charlotte took a deep breath before releasing a deep sigh, attempting to calm down.
"Whilst I'm relieved that Asta has managed to return from entering that doorway that you told me about, but on what grounds has the Magic Parliament decided to make Asta a criminal?" Charlotte asked, becoming confused.
"I got no idea. Calibur is the one that is threatening the peace of the Clover Kingdom, not Asta….." Ryo said, gaining a deep thinking expression on his face, attempting to come up with any idea about what he hopes is a mistake.
It was at that moment that the communication device on the vice-captain's desk started to hum, signifying that some one is attempting to contact Ryo.
The vice-captain of the Sword Of Logos turned on the communication device, causing a blue screen to appear.
"Sir Julius? I've got the got news about Asta." Ryo said as he held up the same newspaper that Charlotte read earlier.
"So Ryo knows about the Wizard King's current state." Charlotte thought, realizing the wielder of Gekido will need to be told about this piece of information since he will taking over Sophia's duties for now.
"Good. Damnatio Kira, the chairman of the Magic Parliament, wishes to speak to you." Julius said, a grim expression being on his face, which is strange for a 13 year old.
This cause Ryo to gain a serious expression on him.
"I understand. I'm coming at once. I'll tell Tetsuo to look after things from here." The wielder of Gekido said, before standing up.
"What about me?" Charlotte asked and Ryo was about to respond, but start to back away when he saw the dark aura surrounding his wife.
"Oh? Captain Charlotte is with you?" Julius asked, becoming slightly surprised.
"Yes, I'm here, Sir Julius. I wanted to check what is going on surrounding Asta." Charlotte responded, turning her attention onto the screen.
"Well, I think it's best you let Mr Ogami talk to Sir Kira first before you….punish him for ignoring you." Julius said, saying the last part in an unsure tone of voice.
This cause Ryo to sigh, becoming slightly relieved.
"Can you explain to me what is going on?" Ryo asked, him now standing in the Wizard King's within the Magic Knight's headquarters.
"I'm sure you have read the newspaper, Vice-Captain Ogami." Damnatio stated whilst staring at Ryo.
"I've read the newspaper, yes. But I'm still completely confused as to how you come to the conclusion that Asta is a threat to the Clover Kingdom." Ryo responded, making Damnatio sigh slightly in a tired fashion.
"Asta Staria dons a dragon-themed armor and it is written in the reports that one of the allies to the terrorist group is a dragon-themed swordsman." Damnatio said, causing Ryo to blink his eyes slightly before speaking again.
"There are two dragon-themed swordsmen, the one that aided the Eye Of The Midnight Sun is Calibur, Asta's code name is Saber." Ryo said, starting to understand the situation.
"Can you provide evidence about the existence of two dragon-themed swordsmen?" Damnatio asked, causing Ryo to frown.
"During our last mission, both Calibur, whose real name is Daichi Kamijo, and Asta disappeared into a portal that was created by him and the Megids. The two of them haven't been seen since. So I can't provide evidence as of right now." Ryo responded in a calm tone of voice.
"Where did this portal lead to?" Damnatio asked, becoming curious.
Ryo became silent for a few seconds, attempting to find the right words to say.
"The Sword Of Logos have been undertaking a long-term mission which involves collecting fragments of a very powerful Magic Item and according to Storious, one of the Megid Generals, the portal will lead one to a greater fragment than the others." Ryo explained, making Julius surprise that the vice-captain of the Sword Of Logos would reveal a brief overview of the squad's main mission.
"So the boy went into this portal to collect this fragment." Damnatio said, tilting his head to the side slightly.
"The both of them did." Ryo responded, becoming slightly annoyed.
Damnatio became silent for a few seconds before speaking again.
"The boy did say something similar, but added that this supposed second dragon-themed swordsman has been slain by a person called Desast." Damnatio stated, causing Ryo to widened his eyes.
"What?! Daichi has been killed by Desast?!" Ryo thought, becoming shock.
However, it was at that moment that the wielder of Gekido realized something.
"Wait….is Asta is in the Magic Parliament's custody?" Ryo asked, making Damnatio nod his head slightly.
"That's correct. A day ago or so, some Magic Knights from the Silver Eagles located the boy, but before they could have return him to you, some of my people took Asta Staria from them. The parliament then trailed the boy before sentencing him for execution." Damnatio explained, causing Ryo's eyes to widened.
"What?!" The wielder of Gekido shouted in a shock tone of voice before becoming confused.
"But why wasn't Asta's imprisonment mentioned in the newspaper?" Ryo asked, knowing that Asta's imprisonment would be an important information to be included in the newspaper.
Damnatio's body stiffened before quickly regaining his composure.
"When the boy was about to be taken back to his cell, his was rescued by something." Damnatio replied, causing Ryo to blink his eyes.
"Something?" Ryo asked, wanting to confirm what the judge just said.
"That's correct. We couldn't see the thing is due to it being covered by the mist that was pouring through the broken wall, but it seemed to be a four-legged creature with with a tail and pointy ears." Damnatio explained, making Ryo nod his head slightly, starting to become worried and relieved at the same time.
"You won't have knowledge on the boy's rescue?" Damnatio suddenly asked, causing Ryo to quickly shake his head.
"No! I only just found about of this by the newspaper." The wielder of Gekido responded quickly.
"…" Damnatio became silent for a few seconds before speaking again.
"Very well. The Magic Parliament have decided to gave you the task of finding and bringing Asta Staria back to be properly sentenced by execution. Failing to do so, or evening aiding the boy will result in all of you being punished." Damnatio said, causing Ryo to widen his eyes in shock.
"This isn't a request, it's an order. This will also solidified our trust in the Sword Of Logos." Damnatio said in a serious tone of voice before the wielder of Gekido can say anything.
"However, since the two of you are persistent about the existence of a second dragon-themed swordsman, if you managed to find evidence to prove the boy's innocence about him not being a threat to the Clover Kingdom, along with not attacking headquarters of the Magic Knights, which was done by another person, during your search, then the Magic Parliament may change their minds about executing the boy." Damnatio said, causing a slightly hopeful expression to appear on Ryo's face.
"That is all." Damnatio said before exiting the room.
The room became silent for a few seconds before Ryo spoke.
"What caused the Magic Parliament to make the decision of Asta being responsible of attacking the headquarters of the Magic Knights instead of Falchion. All the captain, plus Lady Mereoleana, you and Marx were present?" Ryo asked, him taking in that piece of information.
"The Magic Parliament seemed more keen on physical evidence rather than verbal evidence. They won't accept evidence found by Marx's memory magic." Julius said, causing a slight surprise expression to appear on Ryo's face.
"Really? Not even your assistance's magic?" The wielder of Gekido asked, making the "Wizard King" to nod his head.
"Yes. Despite Marx's proficiency with his memory magic, he can be thwarted with powerful protection magic placed on the target's memories. It took Marx a while to get information from the prisoners that we captured from the Eye Of The Midnight Sun." Julius explained, making Ryo nod his head slightly before releasing a deep sigh.
"I should head back and inform the others about the mission that we have been given." The vice-captain of the Sword Of Logos as a part of him start to see the horrified expressions on everyone's faces.
"Do you have any idea on who owned the creature and rescued Asta?" Julius asked, becoming curious.
However, this cause Ryo to shake his head.
"No idea. It could be a member from another branch of the Sword Of Logos who somehow knew about Asta's trail or someone else who have been keeping a close eye on him." Ryo said, a frown appearing on his face.
"Like the missing Luna girl? She was the one who created the "Dragonic Knight" Wonder-Ride book." Julius suggested whilst becoming slightly annoyed at the fact that he can't see Saber's new form.
"It could be…." Ryo said, mulling over the idea.
"You can leave now. The sooner you tell them, the less likely the Magic Parliament will give you all an early punishment." Julius said with a grim expression on his face, causing the wielder of Gekido to nod his before standing, saluting and leave the room.
"I wonder if Tassel is responsible for Asta's rescue…." Julius thought, mulling over the idea.
Like what Ryo expected, everyone did not take the news well.
"Asta…..is….." Donna muttered, gaining a horrified expression on her face.
"What are those people thinking? How are they so narrow-minded! There are infinity possibilities in the world, why do they think that there's only one dragon-themed swordsman in the world!? Asta and Mr Kamijo wield different magic for starters!" Rin demanded in an angry tone of voice.
"I've heard from my brother that the Magic Parliament are looking for someone to put the blame on for the elf ordeal. Their top cuprite is the Megid and since Calibur is working with them, they see as an ideal person to sentenced. Since they haven't seen Calibur, but have likely seen Asta don his armor during the Star Festival, they believe that Asta is the dragon-themed swordsman that is threatening the peace of the Clover Kingdom." Noelle said as a sad expression don her face.
"Are you even related to that judge guy?" Rin asked, causing Noelle to snort slightly.
"Sometimes I wish I wasn't with all the decisions that he and the other nobles have been making." Noelle responded, a brief look of disgust appearing on her face.
"It would seem that the discrimination that Sir Julius has been attempting to stamp out is still gripping the Clover Kingdom." Secre thought, a grim expression being present on her face.
"And now the Magic Parliament are forcing us to locate Asta and hand him in so that he can be properly executed by them." Rintaro muttered with a dark expression on his face.
"At least Lord Kira gave us the chance of proving Asta's innocence." Fiona said, attempting to lightening the mood.
"That is a problem. According to Sir Kira, Asta told him that Daichi Kamijo has been slain by Desast." Ryo said, causing everyone to become shock.
"What?! But Calibur wields a form powered by Demonic Mana?!" Rin shouted, causing the wielder of Suzume to gain a frown on his face.
"It could be that Asta managed to defeat Daichi in his Dragonic Knight form and then Desast dealt the finishing blow in his weakened state." Tetsuo guessed, making the wielder of Hayate blinked her eyes.
"How strong is Asta's new form?" Rin asked, making Ryo to chuckle slightly.
"One that grants him power to be even stronger than me." The wielder of Gekido commented, causing Rin to open her mouth in surprise.
"…..I wonder if Asta managed to get any information out Mr Kamijo about what happened 11 years ago?" Donna questioned, a thoughtful expression appearing on her face.
"We just have to find out when we meet Asta again." Tetsuo responded, making the wielder of Ikazuchi to nod her head slightly.
"So what now, Vice-Captain?" Rintaro asked, looking at Ryo.
"For now, we just have to follow the Magic Parliament's demand and locate Asta...whilst attempting to find Kurayami, "Jaaku Dragon" and "Jaou Dragon". If Daichi is dead like what Asta has told the judge, then those three objects are the only evidence we have to prove Asta's innocence since it seem that Asta was separated from Daichi, Kurayami, the "Jaaku Dragon" Wonder-Ride book and the "Jaou Dragon" Wonder-Ride book when he managed to escape from that pocket dimension. I'll go and inform the main branch of what happened and tell them what is need to done to prove Asta's innocence." Ryo explained, causing everyone to nod their heads.
At the main branch of the Sword Of Logos, Master Logos is looking over some papers in his office.
Despite the supreme ruler having a throne room, he also possess an office to perform paper work.
As of right now, he is focus on the reports that he have gained concerning the activities that the Clover Kingdom's branch has been up to.
"So the current Saber has managed to gain a form that no other Sabers have gained." Master Logos thought with interest.
"It's a shame that he went missing, I would have like to see that form in person…." Master Logos thought, becoming disappointed.
It was at that moment that a knock from the office's door is head.
"Come in." Master Logos said, causing the door to open, revealing Reika.
"Apologies if your busy, Master Logos." Reika said as she walked into Master Logos's office, noticing how he's looking at some pages.
"Not at all. I was merely rereading some reports." Master Logos said as he place the papers on his desk.
"I've received a report from the Clover Kingdom's branch, concerning the missing swordsman of flames." Reika explained, causing Master Logos to perk up.
"Have they managed to locate him?" Master Logos asked, becoming excited at the prospect of seeing the Dragonic Knight form sooner than he thought.
"Yes and no. I was told that Asta was taken in by the Magic Parliament and was sentenced to be executed, believing that Asta is Calibur and is becoming a threat to the Clover Kingdom." Reika began to explain, causing Master Logos to snort slightly.
"Really now. I still haven't got the understanding on how the nobles of the Clover Kingdom think. So what is the other part of the report?" Master Logos asked, focusing his attention onto the messenger of the Sword of Logos.
"Luckily, it would seemed that Asta was rescued by an unknown animal, their appearance being hidden by some sort of mist, according to what the vice-captain of the clover branch has been told." Reika said, making Master Logos sweat-drop.
"So the boy has gone missing again." Master Logos summarized, making Reika nod her head.
"That seems to be the case. The Clover branch have been ordered by the Magic Parliament to locate Asta and return him to them so that he can properly executed." Reika said, causing a frown to appear on Master Logos's face.
"Luckily, the Magic Parliament have given the Clover branch the opportunity to prove Asta's innocence if they can locate Kurayami and the Wonder-Ride books associated with the Holy Sword." Reika said, causing a confused expression to appear on Master Logos's face this time.
"Just those objects? What Daichi Kamijo himself, the current wielder of Kurayami?" Master Logos asked, tilting his head to the side.
"According to what Vice-Captain Ryo has been told by the judge, Asta told the judge that Kamijo has been slain by Desast." Reika responded, causing Master Logos to become slightly surprise.
"So the infamous slayer of Holy Sword wielders even used his sword on allies of the Megid." Master Logos mused, gaining a frown on his face.
"So what are you thoughts on the matter and what response should I give to the Clover branch?" Reika asked, becoming curious.
A deep thinking expression appeared on Master Logos's face.
"It would be a waste to let Asta Staria die, him having inherited Rekka from his mother and managing to gain a form that is unique to him. So I suppose that retrieving Kurayami and presenting the sword of shadows to the Clover Kingdom's Magic Parliament will need to happen." Master Logos explained, making Reika nod her head before a thought enter her head.
"What happens if Asta managed to gain information from Daichi, what would happen then?" Reika asked, causing a frown to appear on Master Logos's face.
"That...certainly will be a problem..." Master Logos responded has he clasped his hands together.
"Hahahahaha!" Zoous laughed loudly, almost falling off the seat that he's sitting on.
"What's wrong with you? You haven't even open the first page of the newspaper." Liegel asked, giving his fellow Megid General a confused look.
"Just look at the front page!" Zoous responded as he pass the newspaper towards Liegel who stared at the front page for a few seconds before starting to laugh as well.
"How stupid are the people of the Clover Kingdom becoming, deciding to trail their own Magic Knights?" Zoous asked, as he clutch his stomach.
"Judging from what is written down, it would seem that the members of the Magic Parliament are mistaken Saber for Calibur, probably because they both have the same dragon motif." A voice responded, the voice belonging to Storious who has opened the newspaper and reading the article whilst keeping his calm composure.
"Heh. The Clover branch of the Sword Of Logos sure have things tough for them from now on with the Kingdom thinking that they are starting to become a threat to them instead of protecting them." Liegel commented, making Storious nod his head slightly.
"Indeed. And without Kurayami, Saber will constantly be on the run from the Magic Parliament….." Storious said before an idea appeared in his head.
"Where's Desast and Calibur? Those two haven't returned." Liegel asked, becoming confused at the two sword wielders's absence.
"….I did have a feeling that Desast may find the opportunity to slay Calibur and retake his Alter-Ride book. He must have gotten his chance when Calibur and Saber went through the doorway." Storious explained with a thoughtful expression on his face.
"Tch. That guy is so unreliable." Liegel commented, gaining an annoyed expression on his face.
"So when are we going to start attacking?" Zoous asked, having stopped laughing, yet a grin is still present on his face.
"Let's see how things settle first before acting." Storious responded, making a slight look of annoyance to appear on Zoous's face as well.
"Come on now, it will make things more interesting once the new page is ready to be written on." Storious said in a reassuring tone of voice.
However, Zoous's mood didn't seem to lighten at all.
"Erh…." A small groan came out of Asta's mouth as the ash-white hair teen blinked his eyes opened.
"…..!" Asta's eyes fully widened as the most recent memories appeared and he sat up abruptly.
"Hm?!" Asta said, becoming confused as he saw that he is in a bedroom.
"Where the heck am I?" Asta thought, a frown appearing on his face before glancing down and saw that his hands are no longer handcuffed.
A look of sadness appeared in Asta's eyes as he remembered the last words of Damnatio before getting knocked out.
"What was that thing anyway?" Asta muttered as an image of that shadowy image of the creature appearing in his head, he himself couldn't see what the creature was due to the mist.
Asta turned his head to the side and a small smile appeared on his face when he saw his Grimoire, within it's holder.
"But where's my Seiken Sword-Driver?" Asta thought, starting to become worried since it would seem that Rekka wasn't stored into his Grimoire when he was taken in by the Magic Parliament.
"I suppose that I just have to prepare myself when I see Mr Daishinji again…" Asta thought before deciding to get out of the bed and pick up his Grimoire.
The ash-white hair teen noticed a piece of paper underneath his Grimoire and when he picked it up, he saw that it was the photo that Daichi gave him.
Looking at the photo of his mum made Asta relaxed slightly before having a proper look at the bedroom.
Asta blinked his eyes slightly when he saw that the bedroom has a high quality to it.
"Has a noble decided to rescue me?" Asta thought before making his way towards the window.
His eyes widened when he saw the sky of Wonder World.
"S-So I could be in a noble's house within Wonder World!" Asta thought, becoming startled at this fact.
"Well, at least the Magic Parliament won't find me so easily." Asta commented, seeing the Magic Parliament is basically trying to find a needle in a haystack.
The ash-white hair teen turned his head towards he door.
"Might as well find the person who decided to rescue me." Asta muttered before walking over to the door and opening it, revealing a hallway.
Glancing both ways, Asta decided to head right which lead him to a set of stairs that lead downstairs.
Being happy that he made the right choice, Asta started to make his way down the stairs and when he reached the bottom step, the ash-white hair teen felt someone's Mana.
"They're through here…." Asta thought as he start to walk down a small hallway before reaching a door-less entrance leading to what Asta presume is the living room.
A fire is alive within fireplace and close by, there is someone sitting on chair with a table next to them.
Whilst Asta couldn't properly see the person, he saw that his Seiken Sword-Driver and currently owned Wonder-Ride books are on the table with the person holding "Dragonic Knight" and seemingly examining it.
Asta became silent for a few seconds before deciding to speak.
"Excu/Asta!" A voice suddenly shouted, interrupting the ash-white hair teen.
And there we have it, everyone's reacting to the news of Asta being convicted by the Magic Parliament, with the three Megid Generals seemingly enjoying the news, whilst the Clover branch of the Sword of Logos being given a mission of finding Asta and take him back to the Magic Parliament. With Asta himself, it would seem that he's in the house of a Wonder World noble who seemed to have an interest with Rekka and the newly forged "Dragonic Knight" Wonder-Ride book.

1) Luckily, it would seem that Asta has someone who is helping...or maybe two. Based on the lengths of chapters that I write, that could be the case.
2) Maybe you should be worried about the creature hidden within the mist...
3) Yuri/Saikou will be making his apperance very soon.
TheOkWriter: Like I said in my last update, the idea sounds weak, but in this chapter, Julius explained how the Magic Parliament prefer physical evidence rather than the use of Marx's magic where a person's memories can be altered, such as Storious simply planting fake memories.

1) It looks like we're going to see who Asta's savior is next chapter.
2) Yeah...Damnatio's and the Magic Parliament's decision of attempting to execute Asta will certainly cause a problem in the future...in the form of a berserk dragon.
3) The Magic Parliament doesn't trust the Sword of Logos, so Asta's trial is a good opportunity for them to punish them. Like I said in the previous update, the reasoning for the execution, from my perspective, is weak. And yes, the Magic Parliament are still looking for someone to pin the blame on for the ordeal revolving around the Eye of the Midnight Sun.
4) It would seem that Master logos hasn't made his move just yet...although hinting that something may be done if Asta started to talk about what he learned from Daichi.

1) I'm not sure about this story's version of Dorothy's background as of right now, apart from the fact that she lived in Wonder World before moving to the Clover Kingdom.
2) Yep, we gradually making our way to the appearance of the swordsman of light.
3) Is there something you don't like about Kamen Rider Gotchard?
4)...Everyone will certainly be surprised at Ace's presence and his status as the God of Creation, he will most likely possess extremally high levels of Mana. I can see Ace keeping himself hidden so that no one, especially the Clover Kingdom's nobility, is able to capture him and then force him to grant them their desires. Lucius could likely attempt to remove the powers of creation from Ace's body, although this could result in him transforming into a stone statue himself.
