Meeting the seniors
"It sure is quiet around here…" Fiona muttered in a sad tone of voice as she clean around the halls.
Every since the Magic Knights of the Clover branch of the Sword of Logos forced Asta to leave the Clover Kingdom, there has been an air of quietness around their headquarters.
"I hope that Asta is doing okay." The maid of the Sword Of Logos thought as she entered the common room.
Fiona was about to start waving her duster about before stopping when she saw two objects laying on a nearby table.
"Are those…..Grimoires?" Fiona thought, becoming confused as she approached the table and stare at the two Grimoires.
One of them is a blackish-red coloured cover with bright yellow cracks running across it whilst the other is golden yellow in colour with wavy-like patterns.
Both of them having the Wonder World emblem stamp on them.
"Why are two Grimoires doing here? Did people came to the base earlier and forgot to take their Grimoires with them when they left?" Fiona thought in a confused tone of voice as she picked the blackish-red covered Grimoire and further examined it.
"Hm? What are you holding, Fiona?" A voice suddenly asked from behind the maid of the Sword of Logos.
"Gha!" Fiona exclaimed whilst jumping in fright before spinning around and raised her duster in a manner similar to someone wielding a sword.
"S-sorry." Tetsuo said in an awkward tone of voice whilst holding his arms up slightly.
"What are you doing here, Mr Daishinji." Fiona asked as she lowered her raised arm and taking a deep breath in order to calm her fast-paced beating heart.
"I just decided to take a break from spending time in the workshop." Tetsuo replied, making Fiona stare at the wielder of Suzume.
"What? Can't I take breaks at times?" Tetsuo asked, feeling offended.
"Sorry. Mr Daishinji. Did people came to the base at any point?" Fiona asked, causing Tetsuo to blink his eyes.
"No. why are you asking?" Tetsuo asked, becoming confused.
"I found these two Grimoires laying on the table." Fiona responded whilst showing the currently holding Grimoire to the wielder of Suzume.
Tetsuo stared at the blackish-red covered Grimoire for a few seconds before glancing towards the golden-yellow covered Grimoire.
"…...No, nonononono." Tetsuo muttered whilst his face turned white.
"Mr Daishinji?!" Fiona asked in an alarmed tone of voice as she took a step forwards.
"Keep that Grimoire away from me!" Tetsuo shouted as he immediately backed away.
"Huh?!" Fiona said, starting freak out just as hurried footsteps can be heard.
A few seconds later, Rin appeared.
"What happened here!?" Rin asked, her Grimoire out and opened.
"I don't know what happened. I just showed Mr Daishinji this Grimoire and he turned white." Fiona explained, causing the wielder of Hayate to blink her eyes in confusion as she stare at the Grimoire in Fiona's hand before glancing towards Tetsuo.
"Ooooookay. Mr Daishinji, why don't you sit down." Rin suggested as she walked up to the still shocked wielder of Suzume and guide him to the nearest chair.
It was at that moment that the others appeared.
"What happened, we heard a shout or something….what happened to him?" Noelle as she, Rintaro, Donna and Secre saw Tetsuo who Rin successfully placed him in a chair.
"I just simply showed him this Grimoire and he freaked out." Fiona responded as she waved the hand that is holding the Grimoire, catching the newly arrived Magic Knights's attention.
"What's some random Grimoire doing here?" Rintaro asked, as he tilted his head to the side in confusion.
"This isn't the only Grimoire." Fiona said as she let go her duster and picked up the golden-yellow covered Grimoire.
"Another unknown Grimoire?" Secre questioned, being confused herself.
"Honestly! How reckless people can be to leave their Grimoire laying around. That's a person most important object!" Noelle said in an exasperating tone of voice.
"….I know the people who owns those Grimoires." Tetsuo said in a low tone of voice, having managing to calm himself.
"Really? You do?" Donna asked, feeling slightly relieved that they could potentially return the two Grimoires to their rightful owners.
Tetsuo took a deep breath before speaking.
"Those two Grimoires belong to two former Magic Knights of the Sword of Logos, known as the Volcanic-Sand Duo." Tetsuo said, making mostly everyone to become curious whilst Rintaro and Fiona widen their eyes.
"I've heard of them. They were a team that existed a few generations back, a very skillful team." Fiona said in an excited tone of voice.
"Are their exploits that well known?" Secre asked, making the maid of the Sword of Logos nod her head.
"Absolutely!" Fiona responded, making the Sword of Logos sealing Mage blink her eyes.
"What sort of Magic Knights were they? Did they wield Holy Swords?" Rin asked in an excited tone of voice.
Fiona gained a blank expression on her face as she started to remember something.
"The team of two comprised of that generation's Kamen Rider Saber and Kamen Rider Shamshir, the swords-woman of sand, who wields the sword of the desert, Endless Dash." Tetsuo explained, making everyone, apart from Rintaro and Fiona, to become interested at the existence of the Holy Sword of the desert before remembering the first member that Tetsuo mentioned.
"Although that wielder of Rekka liked to call himself, the "volcanic swordsman" instead of the "swordsman of flames" due to his magic." Tetsto added, causing Rin to take the Grimoire out of Fiona's hand and opened the blackish-red Grimoire and examined it.
"Magma magic, huh." The wielder of Hayate commented as she red a page from the Grimoire.
"Rin! Don't go reading through people's Grimoires without their permission!" Noelle said in a slight annoyed expression on her face.
"What? The "volcanic swordsman" Saber isn't here, isn't he." Rin pointed out, causing the wielder of Argent-Couronne to began to open her mouth to say something, but stop when she can't think of anything to say.
This cause Rin to start smirking, thus causing Noelle to glare at her in response.
"So….do you think that the Volcanic-Sand duo heard of what we've done to the volcanic swordsman's non-direct successor and…want to talk to us…." Rintaro said, saying the last part in a slightly scared tone of voice.
"But why would their Grimoire be left out?" Donna pointed out, causing a thinking expression to appear on Rintaro's face for a few seconds until a thought appeared in his head.
"Maybe those aren't their Grimoires, they could be some sort of calling card." The wielder of Nagare explained, causing a small frown to appear on the wielder of Ikazuchi to nod her head slightly, mulling over the idea.
"Do you think that they will be disappointed at us?" Noelle asked, suddenly starting to become scared, as she glance towards the wielder of Suzume.
"Disappointed? I think fuming is the most likely word to use." Tetsuo responded, causing everyone to become alarmed whilst slightly confused.
"Why is that?" Rin asked, tilting her head to the side, becoming curious.
Tetsuo took a deep breath before speaking.
"Because the person that was Saber of the Volcanic-Sand Duo is Ekrixi Staria, the father of Richita Staria, whilst Shamshir goes by the name of Shan Kasper, Richita's aunt on her mother's side." Tetsuo explained, causing the room to become quiet for a few seconds as the information sank into the others heads.
"Those two….are Asta's grandfather and….Grandaunt?" Secre asked, making Tetsuo nod his head.
"Yes. Those two hold the title of Grand Magic Knight each." The wielder of Suzume replied, making everyone's eyes to widened.
"EHHHHH?! S-seriously?! Asta-kun's grandfather was Saber before him and his mum?!" Rin asked in a shock tone of voice, making Tetsuo jump due to his heightened hearing.
"So the sword of flames has been passed down the Staria family three times….is it a family heirloom or something?" Noelle questioned in her head whilst gaining a thoughtful expression on her face.
"Who is the wielder of Endless Dash now?" Secre asked, becoming curious.
"I don't know. The last known wielder of Endless Dash was Lady Shan. I think she must have took the sword of the desert with her when she retired." Tetsuo responded, making everyone glance at each other confusedly.
"Is that allowed?" Rin asked, making the wielder of Suzume to shrug his shoulder.
"It isn't an official rule that a Holy Sword needs to be return to the Sword of Logos when the current wielder decides to leave or something, but it is something that is preferred." Tetsuo explained, making the wielder Hayate to nod her head slightly.
"So what are going to now?" Secre asked, staring at Tetsuo.
"I better contact Vice-Captain Ryo about what we found….and then attempt to find a Magic Knight who specialize in exorcism." Tetsuo said whilst starting to placing a hand into a pocket, presumably getting out a communication device to contact the wielder of Gekido.
Everyone sweat-drop at the last part.
"Really? Are you actually thinking that this base has become haunted?" A male voice suddenly asked just as two figures appeared their hiding spots.
"Ghaaaaa!" Everyone exclaimed in fright.
"S-Sir Ekrixi?! Lady Shan?!" Tetsuo said in a startled tone of voice as he got a properly look at the once two hidden people.
"These two are Asta's grandfather and grandaunt…?" The others thought, noting the green eyes of Ekrixi and the faint ash-white hair of Shan, something that her sister, Asta's grandmother, would possess.
"Hello Tetsuo. It's been a while, hasn't it?" Ekrixi asked, a small "smile" appearing on his face.
"Y-yeah. It has been a w-while. H-how have you two been?" Tetsuo asked in a shaky tone of voice.
"We've been doing well." Shan responded...whilst one of her hands started to twitch, she seemingly keen on strangling a certain someone.
"Why do you have dark skin?" Rin asked, whilst holding tightly the first person closest to her, the person being Donna.
The question caused Shan to chuckle slightly.
"It's a tan that I got whilst living in the desert." The once previous wielder of Endless Dash responded, making the wielder of Hayate to nod her head slightly.
"S-so. What are you doing here?" Tetsuo asked, yet he having a good idea about why the former Magic Knights of the Sword of Logos has visited them.
"Oh, we just wanted to see the current generation of the Sword of Logos Magic Knights from the Clover branch…...along with talking about your actions towards my grandson." Ekrixi said, making everyone gain ashamed expressions on their faces at the last part.
"Y-you found out about that?" Tetsuo asked, yet already knowing the answer.
"Yes, we've heard all about that….from Asta himself." Shan responded, a dark aura surrounding her just as her Grimoire flew out of Fiona's hand and opening.
This cause everyone to become alarmed.
"Shan, remember what we talked about." Ekrixi said, starting to slightly worried that the once wielder of Endless Dash may start to go on a killing spree.
"….Fine." Shan responded in a reluctant tone of voice.
"….Why don't we do the introductions." Tetsuo suggested, keen on moving away from Shan's possible killing spree.
"I'm/I'm Rintaro Shindo, the current wielder Nagare." Rintaro introduce himself.
"I'm/I'm Donna Kukamiya, the current wielder of Ikazuchi." Donna introduce herself.
"I'm/I'm Rin Akamichi! The current wielder of Hayate!" Rin introduce herself whilst attempting to the lighten the mood.
"I'm/ I'm Secre Swollowtail, an ordinary Magic Knight of the Sword Of Logos." Secre introduce herself.
"I'm/I'm Fiona, the maid of the Clover Branch." Fiona introduce herself before returning Ekrixi's Grimoire to him and immediately backing away.
"I'm Noelle Silva. the wielder of the newly created Holy Sword, Argent-Couronne." Noelle said as she gave a small glare at the others, she wanting to be the first to start the introductions, but was repeatedly interrupted.
"You're Acier's forth child, right." Ekrixi said, making Noelle nod her head.
"Yes, that's correct, sir." Noelle said whilst realizing that the once wielder of Rekka would have known her mother by being close friends with his daughter.
"And where is Ryo Ogami? Is he still a member of the Clover branch." Shan asked, becoming curious.
This cause everyone to become nervous, not wanting to give away the vice-captain's location to two people who are likely going to give him an earful.
"He's spending some time with his wife and son." Tetsuo said after a few seconds of the common room being silent.
"Really, he'd got married and have a child?" Shan asked, making the wielder of Suzume to nod his head.
"I do remember that Ryo had a female friend that he was close to…." Ekrixi commented with a thoughtful expression on his face.
"You know Vice-captain Ryo?" Rintaro asked in a slight surprised expression on his face.
This cause Ekrixi to snort slightly
"He was a newly introduced Magic Knight whilst I was still the wielder of Rekka…..along with Tetsuo, although he was a Magic Knight more longer than Ryo." Ekrixi explained, causing everyone to blink their eyes before turning their attention towards Tetsuo.
"How old are you, Mr Daishinji?" Rin asked, being curious.
"It's rude to ask people their age." The wielder of Suzume responded, gaining a tick-mark on his forehead.
"So…..how is Asta doing…..?" Donna asked, immediately, causing the room to become quiet.
"…...He's doing okay. He met Shan's grandson, Bahadur, just recently." Ekrixi explained in a calm, yet firm, tone of voice, causing some slight surprise expression to appear on everyone's faces.
"Asta has a cousin?!" Everyone thought at the same time.
"Does he wield Endless Dash by any chance?" Tetsuo asked before flinching underneath the gaze of Shan.
"Yes. I decided to make him my successor." The once wielder of Endless Dash responded, making the wielder of Suzume blink his eyes.
"So Asta and Bahadur are basically this generation of the Volcanic-Sand Duo." Rin commented with a curious expression on her face.
"Hmm. You can say that." Shan commented with an interested tone of voice.
"I hope that he's taking good care of Endless Dash." Tetsuo thought, his protective side acting up.
"How's your search going on in finding Kurayami?" Ekrixi asked, causing some stunned expressions to appear on everyone's faces.
"They know about the search?" Everyone thought, realizing that the two former Sword of Logos Magic Knights would have needed to be told the whole story as to why Asta got "kicked" out of the squad in the first place.
"We….haven't come up with any results I'm afraid." Tetsuo said whilst dropping his head slightly.
"A friend of Yuri's is also attempting to find Kurayami, for similar reasons, but his search is coming up with nothing as well." Ekrixi commented, causing everyone to perk up slightly.
"Has the wielder of Saikou told them about the possible corruption of the Sword of Logos?" Everyone thought at the same time.
It was at that moment that the communication device in Tetsuo's hands began to hum, causing everyone to turn their attention towards it just as the wielder of Suzume turned it on.
"He/We have a problem here." Ryo said quickly, cutting off Tetsuo.
This cause everyone to become alert.
"What the situation?" Tetsuo asked in a serious tone of voice whilst standing up.
"There has been mass stealing about the town and the Blue Rose want some additional help." Ryo responded whilst glancing behind.
"Has Mrs Ogami became angry and her magic started to go out of control?" Tetsuo guessed, causing Ryo to snort slightly.
"No, Char's anger is under control. Just send some help over, I'll explain at the Blue Rose Magic Knight's headquarters." the wielder of Gekido said before ending the call.
"Isn't the Blue Rose Magic Knight mostly an all female Magic Knight squad?" Shan asked, tilting her head to the side, becoming confuse.
"It is, Vice-Captain Ryo's wife is the captain of that squad, Charlotte Ogami. They have a son called Sora." Tetsuo explained, making both former Magic Knights surprise.
"So is Mrs Ogami the dominate one in the relationship because of her position?" Ekrixi asked, causing everyone to gain shock expressions on their faces.
"Ekrixi…." Shan said in a dangerous tone of voice, making the former wielder of Rekka back away slightly.
"Sorry, sorry." Ekrixi said with a sheepish smile on his face whilst starting to sweat at the glare that the former wielder of Endless Dash is giving him.
"A-anyway. Donna, Rin and Secre, you three go and aid Vice-Captain Ryo and the Blue Rose Magic Knights." Tetsuo explained, making the three named to nod their heads before starting to make their way out of the common room.
"Do you mind if we come along?" Shan asked, causing everyone to gain surprise expressions on their faces.
"W-what for?" Tetsuo asked, stuttering slightly.
"What? I think it will be good for us former Magic Knights to see how the current generation is doing. Plus it's a been a while since we've last seen Ryo." The former wielder of Endless Dash explained in a "cheerful" tone of voice.
"I bet that you want to scare Vice-Captain Ogami as well." Tetsuo, and pretty much everyone else, thought whilst sweat-dropping.
"So what's the mission?" Rin asked as she and the others have reached the Headquarters of the Blue Rose Magic Knight squads.
"As you may have heard, there's has been thief running amok around the town and with the many of my Magic Knights already out on missions, Ryo made the decision of calling you." Charlotte explained whilst sitting at her desk whilst the wielder of Gekido stood close by.
"Do you have any information on who is causing the thieving?" Donna asked, making the captain of the Blue Rose Magic Knights to shake her head.
"I'm afraid we have no knowledge on the thief, but from what we have been told by those who got robbed, they witness a shadow-being having their valuables disappearing, even those who are well hidden….." Charlotte responded, saying the last part in unsure tone of voice.
"So the thief could possess shadow magic?" Secre guess, making Charlotte cleared her throat.
"That is the most likely the case. As of right now, I want you three and Ryo to search the west of the town. Some of my Magic Knights are searching there, but I want you four to switch with them so that there are greater numbers in each groups. You can heard off now." Charlotte explained before dismissing the group.
"Actually...there are some people who want to observe us." Donna said, causing both Charlotte to become slightly surprise.
"Don't tell me there are people from the Magic Parliament." Ryo said in a slight frustrated tone of voice.
Even though it hasn't happened yet, the wielder of Gekido has been expecting that the Magic Parliament may send some people to observe the Sword of Logos…..once they have the knowledge about the whereabouts of their headquarters.
"No, sir. They…..are more "friendly". Can I bring them in?" Donna responded, trying to find a most suitable word to us.
This cause both Ryo and Charlotte to glance each other confusedly before looking back at the wielder of Ikazuchi.
"You may." Charlotte responded, making Donna nod her head before walking up to the door to the office and opened it.
"You can come in now." Donna said before stepping to the side, allowing Ekrixi and Shan to enter the room.
A small frown appeared on Charlotte's face as she felt a sense of familiarity from the two.
"Hello, Captain Charlotte, we are/Ahk!" Ryo exclaimed, cutting off Ekrixi whilst gaining a shock expression on his face.
"Ryo!?" Charlotte said, starting to gain a startled expression on her face as look at her husband.
"Oh? It took you a few seconds to recognise us?" Shan asked in a "sweet" tone of voice.
"W-well, It has been a long time since last seen you two, Lady Kasper, Sir Staria." Ryo responded, starting to pale.
"Staria?" Charlotte asked, raising an eye-brow as she glance towards Ekrixi, along with becoming more worried about Ryo.
"Yep! These two are Ekrixi Staria and Shan Kasper. Asta-kun's granddad and grandaunt." Rin introduced the two in a cheerful tone of voice, completely ignoring the state that the vice-captain of the Sword of Logos is in.
"A-Asta's!" Charlotte said, her eyes widening.
"That's correct. We've heard about you from Asta, his other aunt." Shan said, making Charlotte blink her eyes in confusion.
"Other aunt….?" Charlotte asked in a slow tone of voice.
"Yes. You have heard about Asta's…..last visit to the Sword of Logo?" Shan asked, making the captain of the Blue Rose nod her head.
"Yes, I was told that Asta managed to escape with the aid of Saikou, the sword of light, and another woman, known as Sayo Ill Rubah." Charlotte said before a thought appeared in her head.
"Sayo is Richita's childhood friend, so she kind of see herself as Asta true aunt." Shan explained and one of Charlotte's eyes twitched slightly.
"Oh, thank you for telling me. I'm looking forward on getting the chance on meeting Miss Rubah…." Charlotte said, gaining a dark aura along with a small "smile" on her face.
"There's going to be a bloodbath in the future." The three female Sword of Logos Magic Knights, of the current generation, thought, shuddering slightly at the thought.
"Anyway. Time for all you to get moving and…..you two wants to observe us…..?" Charlotte began to say whilst trailing off, gaining an unsure expression on her face as she glance at Ekrixi and Shan.
"That's right. We where in fact former Magic Knights of the Sword of Logos, with me being Saber before my daughter and Shan being Shamshir, the swords-woman of sand. We thought that it would be nice to come along and observe the current generation." Ekrixi explained, causing the captain of the Blue Rose Magic Knights to become surprise at this before nodding her head.
"If that's what you want, then okay." Charlotte said whilst starting to become worried before noticing how Ekrixi and Shan have a similar aura to Sister Thersia, retired Magic Knights yet haven't lost their combat skills.
"And where do you think you're going?" Shan asked, causing everyone to become confuse before looking where Shan is staring at and saw that Ryo has an leg out of a window.
"I….was planning on searching on the rooftops, you know, having a bird's eye view of the situation." The wielder of Gekido explained in a nervous tone of voice whilst starting to sweat, coming up with an excuse.
"Ryo. You are walking out of this building like an ordinary person. Do you want me to drag you with us?" Shan asked whilst raising an arm where sand began to swirl around it.
"N-no! I'm coming!" Ryo responded quickly before making his way towards the office door.
This cause the others to sweat-drop.
And there we go, Ekrixi and Shan deciding to visit the Clover branch of the Sword of Logos, completely scaring Tetsuo, before deciding to come along on the mission that Donna, Rin and Secre on their mission, scaring Ryo in the process as well.
In Gotchard:
1) A woman was about to transform into a Malgam by Lachesis, but was interrupted as Spanner appeared and captured (2)Burningnero. As he was leaving the woman's house, Spanner was observed by a male who holds some sort of anger towards him. With Spanner, he entered Kitchen ICHINOSE and was served by Houtarou, but found the meal disgusting and simply decided to make a dish himself.
2) As he left Kitchen ICHINOSE, Spanner, whilst being followed by Houtarou, sensed that someone is following him, calling them out and the revealed person transformed into the Hawk Malgam and started to attack Valavard. Houtarou decided to join in, transforming into Antwrestler's Wild Form, which lead to the Hawk Malgam to retreat. At the Alchemy Academy, Minato revealed that the identity of the Hawk Malgam is called Bolt Namarizaki, a former Alchemy Academy student who took the final exam, yet lost against Spanner.
3) At a park, Rin is approached by Spanner who gave her (2)Burningnero, the interaction being watched by both Houtarou and Bolt who decided to kidnapped Rin. Houtarou and Spanner chased after the Hawk Malgam and Rin, using the aid of both (7)Gold-Dash and (8)Gorilla-sensei, leading the chase to end up at a rocky area. Valavard planned on attacking the Hawk Malgam who responded by lifting Rin into the air and dropping her, yet she was saved by Houtarou who transformed in Gotchard's BurningGorilla form. With Valavard, he attempted to fight the Hawk Malgam using his Gekcopter Custom, yet is unable to reach the Hawk Malgam, leading to Gotchard to give him a boost, allowing Valavard to land a strike on the Hawk Malgam whilst Gotchard finished him off. The battle was observed by the three Dark Sisters where Atropos commented on making preparations for the next phase of their plan.
To be honest, this isn't a favorite Kamen Rider episode of mine since it's pretty much about an arrogant prick attempting to take revenge against Spanner just because he lost in the exams. I thought that the episode would reveal a bit about Spanner's past, but no. I suppose that talking about Spanner's past will include Rin since they have some sort of friendship between the two of them.

1)That never occurred to me, Shamshir having some sort of connection to the Arabiana Night's form, although you have to remember that Espada's primary Wonder-Ride book is called "Lamp Do Alangina".
2) You just have to wait and see what's the next Kamen Rider of the story will be.
