The Failure of a Father
Ch 1: Shattered Promises
It was a beautiful morning in Royal Woods, Michigan. And everybody in their bedrooms got up and went to the bathroom to freshen up, knowing that today is the day they hated the most…
Monday…
The one day that your teacher wants you back to cram information, in addition to their headaches, tests every Friday are common, but suffering the pains of school were far worse. However, it could have been for a certain boy if things didn't fly out of control.
Michael Afton changed into his day clothes, ate breakfast, and got ready on the way to school.
The Afton parents, William and Olivia Afton, William was the co-owner of a rich pizzeria company while Olivia was a doctor to say it, and the siblings, Elizabeth and CC Afton, they are often lively and talkative when it comes to being on the way to school.
"Michael!" William shouted from downstairs. "Get your slow ass down here!"
Michael then came downstairs, an irritated look plastered on his face. "I'm here, Father…"
"Get in the car…or I will have to pull you…" William said in a threatening tone.
Michael just scoffed as he got into the car, knowing that today was going to be a whole new day of shit and torture at school, getting laughed at, being the school's #1 laughingstock, being pranked on, et cetera.
Meanwhile, things were quite bustling as the Loud family got in their old van, the Loud parents, Lynn Sr. and Rita Loud, they have 11 children, the eldest, Lori Loud, she is loving, caring, and had a kind heart for anyone, including her friends. The downside is, due to her being always on the phone 24/7 (on some days), the phone data bills have gone through the roof.
The other daughters, are Leni, Luna, Luan, Lynn Jr., Lucy, Lana, Lola, Lisa, and lastly Lily, the middle child, Lincoln Loud, is a kind, pure-hearted, and compassionate boy who comes to everyone in their need of comfort.
"I hope this is worth this darn van breaking down on the road again…" Lynn Sr. said as he started up the engine, as the sound of squeaking was heard.
And as Vanzilla sped off to Royal Woods Multigrade, the wheels were squeaking as they drove off the road.
If the van breaks down like yesterday, they would have to risk walking until their feet get tired.
Later, they arrived at what they portray of as a prison of boredom and headaches. "Bye, kids, see you at home!" Rita said as she and Lynn Sr. zoomed off to work.
Lincoln sighed to himself, and opened the doors that led them to the halls of their school.
As he picked out the books he will be needing for today, when two children came up to him.
"Oh, hey, Elizabeth and CC…" Lincoln said as he smiled. "What are you guys doing here?"
CC hugged Lincoln, and said, "We want to see how you're doing…"
"I'm fine, thanks…" Lincoln said as he brushed his hand across CC's hair.
"Lincoln?" Elizabeth called out.
"What is it, Liz?" Lincoln asked.
"Do you think that…something's off with Michael?" The little girl asked the snow-haired child.
The 11-year-old Loud put down the youngest Afton, and took a moment to scramble through his thoughts. He responded. "Well…the only answer that I could come up with is…yes…there IS something wrong with Mike…"
"His sarcástico personality?" Roberto added, as he spoke in a Spanish accent.
"Sounds like it…" Lori said, her worry for Michael brewing inside her.
Lincoln then paced around, clasping his hands behind him. "Seems like it…" Lincoln said as he put his hands into his pockets.
"Poor Michael…" Lori said as she put a hand on her chest, thinking about Michael.
