The Failure of a Father

Ch 14: Not So-Friendly Discussion

Julius was upstairs in his home office, dialing a certain number on his home telephone. He held the handset near his ear, and he waited for the one person he wanted to talk to.

William, hearing the telephone ring, answered. "Hello, who is this?"

"Hello, am I talking to William Afton?" The person on the line asked.

"This is he, who is this?" The father of the Afton family asked.

"This is Julius Williams speaking, and I'm here to tell you about a few things concerning…" His tone became sharp. "…your son, Michael Terrence Afton."

"Oh my God, did he get into an accident? Was he injured?!" He asked, worried.

"No…no, he's fine, but I'll ask you something, was what Michael said true?"

"Yes…I abused him over stupid stuff, treated him like a slave, and called him bad names."

"Well, here's something I will have to tell you, you think that you can treat your child like he's a WORTHLESS PERSON WHO CAN DO NOTHING ON THIS PLANET?! NO, USE HIM AS A SLAVE TO DO ERRANDS FOR YOU?! WHO THE FUCK ABUSES THEIR CHILD AND TREATS THEM LIKE A PIECE OF CRAP, HUH?!"

William had to pull the phone away from his ear, due to the loud screaming on the line. Picking his ear, he held the handset near his ear.

Julius then yelled again. "Myself and my wife are concerned about what issues this poor kid has been facing, but now we see why he doesn't want to go back to that damned place! You treated him like a piece of shit while your wife decided to lay low and not help him! When he comes home, you better give him an outstanding apology and treat him like he's the best God-forsaken blessing you ever had! I will also have to spend a decent amount of time behind bars because I will come down there, and beat your fucking ass up so hard I'm going to be in your nightmares, understand me?"

"Y-Yes sir…" William said fearfully.

"Also, be glad that he hasn't called the authorities on your asses because I wholeheartedly would have!" Satisfied, Julius hung up the phone.

William put the phone back on its receiver, when Olivia came home from shopping last time.

"William?"

The father snapped out of his 'trance', and looked at the mother. "What is it, Olivia?"

"Is something wrong? What happened?" She asked her husband.

"Let's just say, Mr. and Mrs. Williams were not too happy with what Michael has been going through..." William said.

"Is he aware of the fact we knew where he was?" Olivia asked.

"Yes…they are, and they know the fact that I treated Michael like shit and you didn't stand up for him. Good thing, Lynn and Rita already had a better grip of the situation…"

"What are you two talking about?" Lynn Sr. asked, as he opened the door.

"Julius wasn't too happy about what transpired between me and Michael recently…" William answered.

"He found out?" Rita said, crossing her arms. "Michael told them the whole story (I guess), and they got a grip on the situation."

Lynn Sr. sighed, he paced around in the kitchen for a moment, when he dialed Julius' number on the telephone.

Julius was busy eating with his family when he heard his telephone ring. "Wait here for a second." He said as he went upstairs to his office.

The father of the Williams family answered on the line. "Hello, this is Julius Williams, who is this?"

"Hello, this is Lynn Loud Sr. on the line." The Loud patriarch answered.

"Lynn? Why did you call me?" Asked Julius.

"I'm going to talk to you about…something concernin' my mate, William." Lynn Sr. replied.

"What about him?" Julius asked, annoyed.

"Why did you curse him off on the phone last time?"

"He treated Michael like some sort of slave to run errands for him, and abused him!"

"Oh, really?" Lynn Sr. asked, angered. "Then why did Michael forgive his mother?"

"I…I don't know…" Julius said, confused and shocked.

"OF COURSE YOU DON'T KNOW, YOU GOOD-FOR-NOTHIN' SON OF A BITCH, YOU GO ON AND KEEP ACCUSIN' MY FRIEND OF CHILD ABUSE, HE HAS CHANGED EVER SINCE THAT ONE TIME HIS SON CURSED HIM OFF! AND DID YOU HEAR ABOUT THE FACT WILLIAM STARTED DRINKIN' TO COPE WITH HIS SON'S ABSENCE?!" Lynn Sr. yelled.

"William started drinking?" Julius asked, shocked.

"YES! HE STARTED CONSUMING ALCOHOL THE DAY HIS SON LEFT IN A HUFF, HE TRIED TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT WITH HIM AND AFTER A FEW ATTEMPTS, THEY WERE BACK ON GOOD TERMS! I WILL ALSO SPEND A FUCKIN' DECENT AMOUNT OF TIME IN PRISON BECAUSE I WILL COME DOWN THERE, AND GIVE YOU A MASSIVE BEATING SO HARD THAT I WILL BE ONE OF YOUR GREATEST NIGHTMARES, UNDERSTAND ME?" Lynn Sr. spoke through gritted teeth.

"Y-Y-Yes L-Lynn…" Julius held the telephone in his shaky hand fearfully.

Satisfied, Lynn Sr. slammed the telephone back in its receiver.

"Wow, Lynn…" Olivia said, shocked at Lynn Sr.'s outburst. "You sure stood up for William…"

"I know, that bitch keeps accusin' everyone of their crimes, why not give them a chance?"

Later that day…

Michael was with his friends, and they were talking about something.

"We're glad you are back on good terms with your mom, how about your dad?" Elijah asked his friend.

"I'm still on the fence about it." Michael said.

Stephanie smiled. "I'm glad you finally decided to make things right with Mrs. Afton."

Robert smiled too. "I'm happy for you, friend, you finally reconciled with your mother."

"Thanks for the support, guys." The teenager replied to his mates. "I could really use all of it, given what I'm going through right now."

Stephanie Williams gave Michael Afton a tight hug, and so did Robert Michaels and Elijah Reeds. The teenage Afton hugged them back, knowing that he had supportive friends to come help him in his time of need. Lincoln Loud passed by the scene and stopped to watch the four friends hugging, he closed his comic and looked at them while smiling. The 11-year-old Loud had friends too, but the problem is, sometimes, they leave him behind over something stupid. His only close friends out of the six were Clyde McBride and Ronalda Santiago, the nerd may be silly and foolish at times, and the Pain Queen can be a bit of a brute but the trio are still the best of friends.

The comic geek opened his comic, and left off to Ronalda's house. The thought of Michael and his friends hugging and smiling was still engrained in his head, as he smiled at the sky.

Nighttime came…

Marcos, Maria, and Michael were outside sitting on a bench staring at the lit lampposts and cars passing by. Silence formed between the three, until the father of the Santiago family spoke to the Afton teenager.

"So…how are things between you and your papa?" Marcos asked.

"We're on good terms, I'm still thinking whether I should forgive him." Michael answered.

"You already forgave your mama, right?" Maria asked.

Michael nodded in response.

"I'm glad that you and your mother are back on good terms, the same goes for your father, right?" Marcos asked in his native tongue.

"Yeah…but I still haven't forgiven him yet…"

"Your friends are always there to help you and so are we."

"I never knew you guys were Roberto's parents."

"You just found out now, hijo…" The Hispanic man chuckled. "Anyways…I'm one of your father's amigos…the same goes for my wife…"

"I didn't know about that." The teen answered.

"Well…back in high school, me, Lincoln's father, and your father are the best of friends. When he met Olivia, he began having a crush on her, even acting all weird when I see him." Marcos chuckled. "I remember our prom night when we were 16, William blushed so hard to the point he was as red as a tomato when Olivia danced with him."

The three laughed.

"Remember the time me, yours and Lincoln's papas had a sleepover? It was absolutely comico because William's papa told him that he forgot to change his chonies!" Marcos laughed at that moment.

"What does chonies mean?" Asked Michael.

"It's a Spanish term for your underpants." Maria answered.

"Oh…" Michael said, the question was pretty stupid but it didn't hurt to ask.

"Let me tell you a little historia, mijo. Before I met Maria, she was with this cabron who abused her. I know that I need to save her from that puta, so I crept up to her and asked her if she was OK…but all she would tell me is…mentiras…that night, when she was with 'him', he picked a fight with me and it lasted for long until 'he' had a lot of lesiones on his face. That's where Maria asked me to be her novio, and that's where the story ends." Marcos shrugged.

"Oh, so that's how you guys got married?"

"Sí, we got married when we finished colegio." Maria answered.

"We got to go now, hijo." Marcos said as he left off with his wife to the Santiago house.

The next day…

He was with his friends, Roberto, and Lori, sitting on a bench.

"So…how are you guys doing?" Asked Lori.

"We're doing fine, thanks Lori." Smiled Robert.

"We're glad that you guys are in a happy state." Roberto smiled at the four. "Anyways, I have something to tell you about mi familia…"

"What is it?" Stephanie asked.

"Mi abuelo is sometimes a cheapskate, we run a Mercado business in the ciudad so it makes sense."

"What does 'ciudad' mean?" Elijah asked.

"It's the Spanish term for a city." Michael answered.

"He is stingy with money, so he doesn't spend a lot on anything costoso, including wide-screen televisors, PCs, arcade game máquinas, or video juegos. There was this one time when we needed an AC, it was mucho calor during that time, and good thing, Abuelo brought us some Mexican paletas, but it melted. He even said that an AC costs a brazo and a pierna." Roberto narrated.

"Do you speak English?" The Chica fanatic asked.

"Sí, but I also speak a little to a lot of Spanish." The Hispanic teen said. "Mi padres are of Mexican descent, the same goes for me and mi hermanita Ronalda."

To be continued in Ch 15…

A/N: Hey it's FNAFLHFaN2006 here, I would have to finish it here in hopes of posting the chapter real soon. Sorry that I took too long writing the chapter, and I put a lot of effort into writing this chapter. In my AU (alternate universe), Ronnie Anne and Lincoln are not a couple, yes, you may have seen that one time in canon when Lincoln kissed Ronalda but for me, it still doesn't cut the rope. The duo are just friends after all, and I don't see any romantic interaction between the two kids so it makes sense.

This is the first time I mentioned Roberto's grandfather being a cheapskate, complying with the reason why he bought an old arcade game machine. You can go watch it on Netflix to come clean. That's all I will tell you for today, please leave a review to see what you all think of my writing.
