Waking up is always a drag.
Coming up from the sweet mindlessness of sleep and facing the waking world was always a pain to some people.
Many would prefer to just remain on the realm of sleep and unawareness for the rest of their lives, being like little clams, unaware of the world around them as they just kept their shells closed and didn't opened them for anything.
Legoshi would be like that if he could. Sometimes, he wished nothing more than to just become a vegetable and never have to face the waking world again. However, this was not an option for the poor animal.
Not with the father he had.
Legoshi always forced himself out of bed. He grew used to have to do it. He grew used to having to wake up early to do things. And he did.
All of his friends were still sleeping, resting comfortably on their beds, some of them snoring soundly, while Legoshi was getting up and walking to the bathroom. He was only on his underwear and socks, as this was how he preferred to sleep. This, of course, means that his whole body (or most of it) was bare for anyone to look at.
And anyone who did would know that Legoshi was not a pure-breed canine, like the rest of his roommates.
Legoshi was practically a zombie as he walked into the bathroom, stopping before the mirror, and then looking at it. His vision was blurry. He yawned, and he rubbed his eyes to clear his vision, and then he blinked, looking at his reflection once more.
He could now catch a much better look at himself. He saw the wolf looking back at him, with long whiskers and with a thick, disheveled mane.
Now, wolves didn't really had manes (save for the maned ones), however, Legoshi was not a regular wolf. In fact, the animal currently looking at himself on the mirror was half-lion, as someone could easily tell from looking at his mane. And, if that was not enough, you could just take a look at how he was bigger than the average wolf, both in height and in bulk, and on the long lion tail he had behind him instead of the busy tail of a wolf.
Yes, his nature as a hybrid was clear to those who looked at it hard enough. That was why Legoshi had to take extra measures when going out, to be sure people would not notice.
After brushing his teeth, Legoshi walked out, and he picked up a pair of pants, a light shirt, and his entrusted hoodie.
Once he got his pants and shirt in place, Legoshi put on the hoodie, making sure that it was hiding his lion tail before pulling the hood over his head, to make sure his mane would be completely off sight. With this, Legoshi was ready to go out for his early morning routine.
It was still dark outside. The sun had not rose yet, and it would still be dark for another hour or so. That was fine for Legoshi. This meant he had all the time he needed to do his morning exercises.
This was something he needed to do to keep his body in shape. As his father had taught him.
"As a carnivore, there will be a moment when you will need your strength, Legoshi. That is why you need to be sure to keep your body strong."
That, like many other lessons his father taught him, had been take to heart by Legoshi. His father would not have it any other way.
First, he started with a jog. Luckily, Cherryton was a facility that was fully supply, and they had a racing track that was free for the students to use if they needed to. Legoshi was one of those, and he was glad that he could have the entire racing track for himself so he could do his morning exercises.
His jogging was just the start, just to get his heart beating and his blood pumping. Them, it came the rest of his exercises. The squats, the twists, the sit ups and then the pushups. A hundred of each. Then ninety-nine. Then ninety-eight. And all the way down until he ended his session doing only one of each.
This was the morning routine of that hybrid, who did this every single morning, even on Sundays. Of course, during weekdays, when he had his days full with school and with his other activities, Legoshi could only do those exercises in the morning. However, when he had a free day, he would take a more serious training routine, and sometimes he would even use the school's gymnastic materials.
He was definitely no stranger to the irons.
However, that was not for today.
Legoshi had finished his morning exercises, and he had already worked quite a sweat and he was now fully and completely wake, as the adrenaline from exercising put any remaining indisposition and tiredness to rest. On the horizon, the first rays of the sun were showing, as the sky was changing colors with the coming of the morning. It meant it was time for the hybrid to go back to his dorm.
He made his way back and quietly closed the door behind himself, his dormmates still fast asleep as their alarm clock has not gone off yet. This meant that Legoshi still had some time to take care of the morning's business before they woke up.
After removing his clothes and using the toilet, Legoshi proceeded to the shower.
He dreaded what came next, but he did it anyway.
Bathing was always a pain in the morning. Even if the water was not close to freezing point at this moment, Legoshi really disliked being wet.
Normal, considering his genetics.
"I don't like water too, buddy. But, we gotta get clean to look presentable. Cannot be out on the streets smelling like garbage. Now, be sure to scrub it nice, and don't forget to pay attention to your mane."
Legoshi reached out and picked the shampoo-soap bottle, popping it open and getting enough on his hands, before starting to cleans his body with it, being sure to go as far as possible into his thick fur with it. Luckily, he could reach for all the places he needed to clean, from his chest down to his feet, and even on his tail.
However, he always saved the most important for last.
For that, Legoshi had to pick up a new bottle, and he poured a generous amount of it on his hand before taking it to his head. He passed his fingers with the special cream over his head and around his neck, making sure to go with his fingers deep, to be sure it would reach all the way down to the roots of the thick fur that made his mane.
Once he was done with it, he let the foam of the product set for two minutes, before once more stepping on the shower and letting all of the foam on his body be wash away all at once, pooling on his feet and being taken down the drain by the water.
Once he was done, he walked out of the showers, picking up his two towels and using them both at once. One for his head and neck, and the other one for the rest of his body. However, when you had thick fur, towels were rarely enough. That was why they had a blow-dryer on their bathroom.
Legoshi made sure to use it to dry all of his fur. Again, with particular attention to his mane.
"You gotta make sure to get the roots dry. If they stay wet, then you might find yourself getting a fungal infection deep there. It happened to me when I was your age, and believe, it is not nice. It itches like nothing you ever felt."
Legoshi made sure to take good care of his mane. He even went as far as to spend nearly thirty minutes every morning brushing it to make sure it was spotless. So, no one would see it since it would be hidden under his hoodie, but he still took very good care of it just like his father taught him.
Even with his roommates banging on the door, telling him to "hurry up" and "not hog the bathroom all for himself".
Legoshi made sure his mane was perfect. From the little cowlick parted thing on the top of his head to the mass of dark fur that Legoshi had going around his head and into his neck. Once it was donet, Legoshi stepped out of the bathroom, and Duhram was ready waiting outside.
"Seriously, dude?" The coyote asked him. "Every morning?"
"Gotta take care of my mane." Legoshi said to him, as he had his towel wrapped around his waist as he walked out. Durham didn't discussed and just rushed into the bathroom. He had a full bladder that he desperately needed to empty.
"You know, since you hog the bathroom like that for your mane and stuff, you could try doing it right when you wake up." Said Voss, as he stood on the edge of his bed, his legs hanging from the edge as he looked at Legoshi, who walked around with his towel around his waist, while the others all waited for their turn to use the bathroom. "You know, before you exercise. This way we can all use it while you are out running on the tracks."
"Then I'd be sweaty and would need a second bath." Legoshi said to the fennec. "It is better to bath after making my exercises. This way I wash away all the sweat and stay fresh the rest of the day."
"While those sweaty clothes of yours stink up our dorm. Sheesh." Said Collot, as the dog took a whiff on the clothing that Legoshi hanged behind the door. They certainly smelled like his sweat. And it was strong.
"Man, how come your sweat smells way more than any of ours?" Collot asked, and it was Miguno who answered:
"Because he is half-lion. You know how cats had strong body odors."
The guys laughed at this, and so did Legoshi. He knew that Miguno didn't meant harm. None of them ever did.
Every since he joined their dorm, all of them had been nothing but welcoming to Legoshi in their midst. They accepted Legoshi for who he was, just like did Jack, his best friend in the world and also a member of dorm 701. This was a source of happiness and relief to Legoshi.
It nearly made him feel silly for having spent his entire first week in there trying to hide the fact he was a hybrid. Wearing his hoodie at all times and soaking himself with enough deodorant to hide his unique scent to the point where it nearly suffocated himself and his roommates was not a very fond memory of Legoshi.
However, when he remembered his previous school, Legoshi preferred to hide his mixed species...
"Weirdo! Weirdo!~"
Legoshi flinched, his smile disappearing. Jack noticed it, and soon did the other members of the dorm, who saw that the wolf was no longer laughing, and was instead looking down with a troubled expression.
In no time they were all asking the wolf if he was okay, and Miguno was apologizing for the joke, and saying that Legoshi's smell was not bad at all. Legoshi soon was tranquilizing his friends, telling them it was okay and that he just got distracted for a moment. Soon, he was going back to getting ready for the day.
Legoshi would not let himself go down there. He didn't wanted to start his day going down that road.
It was a dark road that he'd rather leave behind him.
He was not around those kids anymore. He was around friends.
"Just be sure to be surrounded by friends who understand and accept you, and you will be okay. Remember this, Legoshi."
He remembered. He would always remember what his father taught him. He knew it was true.
He had friends by his side, and they gave him all the support he wanted and needed. They accepted him for being half-lion, and they kept his secret at his request. They were always there to hear to him, and they already proved that they cared for him and would give him the protection and help he needed when he needed it.
Knowing that he had them by his side certainly helped make Legoshi's daily life more bearable. It certainly made him feel safer about the prospect of the dreaded idea of the school finding out his secret. The dread was still there, but he was happy to know that at least his friends would be by his side, even if the whole school started to...
"Weirdo. Weirdo. Weirdo.~"
Legoshi flinched, he shook his head.
Not going there. He was NOT going there.
He would just go on with his life. He would leave it all behind and keep moving forward. One day at a time. One step at a time. Always being careful and not getting into trouble, so he could one day find happiness. Just as his father told him since he was five.
With this in mind, Legoshi got ready for the day ahead. He put on his underwear, his pants, his shirt and, of course, another entrusted hoodie.
Legoshi had many of those. They were really good to him, as they helped hide the most obvious aspects of his hybrid nature, like his mane and his lion tail. This allowed him to go about unnoticed by the most part. That is, as unnoticed as a lion-sized wolf can go in a place like Cherryton Academy.
Luckily, no one ever seemed to be on to Legoshi. That the hybrid knew of...
With his clothes on and his books under his arm, Legoshi pulled the hoodie of his jacket over his head and made his out like the rest of his dormmates. One breakfast of bread and milk in the morning and they were ready to face a whole day of classes with his best friend Jack by his side.
Social studies and biology were not hard subjects. History was pretty interesting. However, math was still a subject that Legoshi had to struggle to understand. It was already complicated before they started adding letters to math. The hybrid wondered whose bright idea that was...
All the while Legoshi ended up making a few animals nervous with his mere presence. Well, the herbivores at least. Legoshi could not really blame them. After all, he was an eight-foot tall wolf with a bulky frame that could be notice by everyone even though his mane and tail were safely lot of sight. Oh, how Legoshi wished it was as easy to hide his height from everyone as well. This way he would not make all of the herbivores so uncomfortable with his mere presence, and walking hunched over only did so much to help others with that...
Like this, Legoshi went about with his day, trying to make himself look as small as possible and not call too much attention to himself. He was only partially successful, as someone his size was bound to attract attention. After all, he was considerably taller than an average wolf. He always called for more than a few looks, especially from the herbivores who were quick to duck out of the way, turn around and go back the way they came, rush forward past him or even press their backs against the wall as he passed.
"That wolf scares me..." Said a pony, "Look how big he is..."
"And he is always wearing that hoodie as if he is ready to commit a crime. So shady..." Said a pigeon, as the mammal and bird both looked at the wolf from a distance.
"Is it normal for a wolf to be this big?" A duck asked, to what an iguana by his side said:
"Maybe he is some kind of mutation..."
They thought they were saying it out of Legoshi's earshot. However, they totally misjudged the sensitivity of someone who was part-wolf and part-lion. Legoshi could hear what they said.
It made him grab the cords of his hoodie and pull them, making the hoodie snugger around his head, at the same time that the wolf hunched himself over even more.
How he wished that he could just turn invisible. Or to mesh with the shadows and disappear into them like the ninja from the anime that he and Jack used to watch when they were younger...
However, this was not an option. All he could do was speed up his step as he wanted to leave as fast as possible as not to have all those eyes on him. Both from the herbivores and from the other carnivores.
Among them, a wolf with reddish-gray fur who looked very intently in the direction of the huge carnivore with the hoodie, looking at him intently as he moved away as if he wanted to escape from something.
"Yoh, Maki!" Said another wolf who approached him. "We going to the cafeteria? You coming?"
The wolf, Maki, didn't answered immediately, and instead kept looking at the departing animal, and the other wolf noticed.
"Looking at that guy again? What's his name? Legoni? Legoro?" The wolf said to Maki, "Don't you think you're being just a tad bit creepy by always looking his way?"
Maki didn't answered for a few moments. He knew that the other wolf had a point. Looking at someone like that could easily be chalked as creepy. However, Maki didn't cared. He could not help but look in the direction of that guy, who was a bit too big for a gray wolf...
"There's something off about him..." Maki said, and this caused his wolf friend to look his way, before telling him that there would be a special bread with cream filling on the cafeteria. This was enough to make Maki decide to go with him, but not before casting one last glance in direction at the hooded carnivore before he disappeared behind a corner.
Legoshi sometimes felt like the days dragged like an eternity. Today was one of those days. Legoshi could swear that everyone had their eyes on him all the time, and he even pulled his hood more over his head unconsciously during some of the classes, as if afraid that the person standing behind him would reach out and pull his hoodie down.
It happened before, and it was follow by something bad.
"Weirdo. Weirdo. Weirdo.~"
Sometimes Legoshi wished that the day could just end and he could return to his dorm, where he could feel anything close to safety.
However, only because the classes ended, it didn't meant that Legoshi could go back to his dorm.
His day was still only half-done.
Sometimes Legoshi regretted having accepted that guy's offer to join the Drama Club.
However, a club was a club. It was a good way of occupying his time, making new friends and learning new responsibilities.
At least, those were the words of his father when Legoshi called him and told him of the invitation he received to join the club. It was mostly because of his father that Legoshi ended up joining, even though Legoshi himself was never too much of a theater fan.
However, he already received the invitation, and the school didn't had any club dedicated to entomology. So he joined in.
However, Legoshi soon found out a little thing that he had failed to consider before joining the club:
You had to change into sports clothes to be able to take part on the club's activities. And you needed to do it with the other members.
"Check it out, guys!" Bill said, as he showed his muscles. "My workout is paying out! Sha!"
"Bill-kun is so strong!" Said Kibi, as the anteater looked at the tiger as he showed his muscles. Bill certainly looked like he was proud to show the strong body he had as a big feline. Unlike Legoshi, who stood in a corner, looking at everyone as they changed clothes and waiting for them to be done. Still wearing his hoodie.
"Yoh, Legoshi?" Bill said to the wolf, who was still on his corner. "You joining us on changing clothes today?"
Legoshi said nothing, and he just looked away as he stood on his corner.
"Seriously?" Bill asked, looking at the wolf. "Just gonna stand in a corner and only change when we are all done? Man, why you never change with us, man?"
"Maybe he is just shy." Said Tao who was standing by behind Bill, also halfway in the process of changing. "Not everyone is proud to show off their body."
"Oh, come on!" Bill said, walking to Legoshi. "We are all males here. There is no need to be so shy! Come on, change with us! Show is some of those muscles! You have muscles down there, don't you? I mean, you are so big."
Then a thought occurred to Bill.
"Wait... don't tell me..." Bill looked at Legoshi, and for a single moment, Legoshi panicked as he thought that Bill had, somehow, caught up to him.
"You're fat?" Bill asked, "Is that what this is about? Is that why you never change with us? Because you have flab under those clothes and you don't want us to see?"
Legoshi looked at the tiger, then he turned his head to the side. By one side he was relieve that Bill didn't actually knew. By another, he now felt a little bit annoyed.
"Oh, man!" Bill said, "Is that, isn't it? You got a potbelly and flabby arms under that hoodie, don't you? Ha! Man, I would be ashamed of showing my body too! That's because you eat too many of those egg sandwiches and peanut-butter cookies!" The tiger said as he poked Legoshi on the stomach, causing the wolf to reflexively flinch and shy away from his touch. Legoshi looked away, avoiding looking the tiger in the eyes and now looking even more uncomfortable than before.
"Hey there, no need to be like that, dude." Bill said to the wolf when he noticed that the wolf now seemed like he wanted to flee the dressing room. "We don't care if you're fat. Well, other than it doesn't look good for a big carnivore to look like they are not properly in shape. You know what, you should try exercising, like I do! I do fifty pushups and fifty sit-ups every day, and this has been doing wonders for me! Check out the goods!"
Legoshi nearly felt like scoffing as he saw Bill showing off his biceps after bragging of his daily fifty pushups and sit-ups, but he knew that this could not end well, taking in account his past experiences with the tiger. He knew that Bill had a strong personality, and it wasn't unusual for him and Legoshi to end up butting heads. If happened quite a few times, despite Legoshi's non-confrontational nature.
Legoshi was not on the mood for that.
Soon, Bill forgot about him, and he was back at changing his clothes, and soon he and all the others were on their sport's clothes and ready to do their part on the club.
"Join us as soon as you're done changing, fatty!" Bill said to Legoshi as he made his way out of the dressing room.
"You know, it is strange that Legoshi never changed with any of us..." Kai said as he looked over his shoulder at the wolf who stayed behind.
"Hey, maybe he has his reasons." Said Zoe, as the goat and weasel walked out of the dressing room together. "I mean, Louis-senpai never changes with us too..."
Legoshi continued where he was for a full minute, to be sure that none of them was going to come back, before he sighed. Now he could change into his sports clothes.
Walking to his locker, Legoshi opened it and he then started removing his clothing, starting with his hoodie, and then removing his shirt. He felt safe enough to remove his clothes now that the others are gone, and they would not see his mane, his lion tail... nor the rest...
Legoshi nearly jumped out of his own fur when he heard the door of the dressing rooms opening.
For a long moment, he and the mammal who just came in looked at each other.
"Oh. Hi, Legoshi." Said the alpaca with a smile on his face. Legoshi relaxed.
"Hey, Tem." He said to the herbivore who just made his way inside, and who didn't seemed fazed with the hybrid at all.
After all, Tem already knew Legoshi's secret.
He was the only one in the Drama Club who knew Legoshi was a hybrid.
He found out on their first year together on the club, when Legoshi, while trying to change his clothes as fast as possible, let his guard down and didn't noticed the animal who came into the room until said animal talked to him.
After a moment of sheer panic from the hybrid's part, Legoshi was able to calm down enough to realize that he had unintentionally scared the animal who talked to him. However, the alpaca from the club also managed to calm down and talk to Legoshi, letting him know that he was okay, and that it was just Legoshi's outburst that had caught him off-guard.
Legoshi apologized for scaring him, and asked him not to tell anyone about him. The alpaca agreed not to tell anyone, and he did it rather easily, much to Legoshi's surprise.
One of the reasons why Legoshi had agreed to join the club was because he had hoped this would help him make new friends. He didn't expected to make a new one by having his secret exposed to the one person in the club who would keep it from the others.
Tem proved to be a good friend to Legoshi, as he never shared his secret with a soul and never judged Legoshi for his hybrid nature.
"You're the first hybrid I meet." Tem would say to him in a moment when they were alone on that same day. "I heard about you guys, but never met one in person. You're so big, it is kind of frightening. Your mane looks nice though. It looks really nice."
Never before had anyone other than his close family and Jack said anything nice about his mane.
Much less an herbivore...
Legoshi was honestly not sure how to proceed.
Legoshi did not spend so much time with Tem out of club, but he talked with him plenty during club hours, as Tem was one of the few herbivores of the club who were not intimidated by his size. And the fact that he gladly kept his secret from the other members served as a way for them to bond as well.
To the point where Tem had nearly no fear of Legoshi at all. He even allowed Legoshi to touch his wool at one point.
They both changed their normal school clothes for their sports clothing, consisting in white shirts and long red pants, as well as sneakers. And, in Legoshi's case, it also included a modified red sports jacket with a hoodie.
This was not standard, but Legoshi made a request to have one made just for himself so he could use it on the club, and he was glad that the school accepted it. The price of the jacket was add to the price of Legoshi's monthly tuition.
Once Legoshi zipped his jacket up and pulled the hoodie over his head, he was ready for his work at Drama Club, and so was Tem, who seemed a bit more excited about it than the hybrid.
This day of work on Drama Club was not much different for either of them. Tem was practicing his use of the wooden sword and practiced his lines, as he got ready to play the role of Ollie the Water Spirit in the upcoming play of "Adler", a classic of their world and the play that the Drama Club was the most famous for.
While Tem did his part as member of the acting team, Legoshi did his part as one of the stage hands. He knew a lot about electric equipment, all thanks to his grandpa, who worked in construction ever since before Legoshi was born. That was one of the many things that Legoshi learned from his grandpa: how to handle and fix electrical equipment. That was the one thing that he could use on his everyday life, as he didn't really had any need for the combat training.
It was his father's idea, to have Legoshi learn how to fight properly from his grandpa, who apparently was a great fighter back on his early days. He never knew where his grandpa learned to fight like that, but he knew that Gosha had been hesitant to teach him, and only did so due to Legoshi's lion father insistence.
"But only fight if you have no other choice, Legoshi." Gosha would say to him, to what the hybrid's father would agree:
"Listen to your grandfather, Legoshi. I'm only having him teach you that so you will be able to defend yourself if you ever have the need. You better not go around using what you just learned to bully others. I'm not kidding, young man."
Legoshi would never dream of bullying others. He was not willing to put others through what he had to suffer.
"Weirdo. Weirdo.~"
Legoshi put his head in the work to keep himself from thinking of other things. He practically closed himself into his work while wearing his custom-made hoodie as he hunched over one of the old lights that he had to fix.
And all of the other herbivores avoided him.
Once more, Legoshi's size, combined with his way of behaving that could easily be mistaken by antisocial, caused the herbivores to be more than a little uncomfortable around him, and prefer to be far from him if possible.
Save for Tem, who would trade some words with Legoshi during the course of the day. Anyone who looked at the two could see that they actually got along.
This was good, right?
After all, Drama Club was all about getting along and proving to everyone that carnivores and herbivores could be friends.
And Legoshi and Tem were good friends. Maybe not the best of friends, but they were.
If they were not, then Tem would not have been willing to keep his secret for so long.
Legoshi would be way too busy with is work with the electrical equipment. A lot of them had been needing repairs lately. Perhaps it was because they were so old...
However, he still had time to cast glances to the other members of the club.
"Always be attentive to what surrounds you, Legoshi. It might just save your life one day."
It was by being attentive to his surroundings that Legoshi could notice all that was happening. That was how he noticed that Bill was bragging to the guys nearby like he usually did. Apparently, the tiger was feeling in a good mood today for some reason. Legoshi was willing to bet that this was because he had gotten lucky last night. That was usually why Bill was in a good mood during a certain day.
Legoshi was glad he was making himself busy, so he would not need to hear Bill bragging about his sexual feats with his girlfriend. It honestly got annoying after a while. That tiger was so crass sometimes...
And he saw Tem, who was talking to Els.
Could it be that today he would tell her?
And there was Louis-senpai.
That deer was a presence to be recognized. Legoshi knew that from the first time he saw him.
They never talked to each other before, but Legoshi could feel Louis presence from a distance. It was obvious from the way he walked, to the way he stood, to the way he looked upon others before giving them instructions of what to do. It was obvious that Louis had a presence that could impose respect on anyone who met him. This presence also translated to presence on stage that made him quite good as an actor.
No wonder he was the main actor of Drama Club. And also no wonder he was Cherryton's future beastar.
Even Legoshi could not help but let his attention wander in his direction whenever he noticed Louis there. There was something about the deer that just demanded people to look his way, as well as respect him.
Especially when Louis was talking to someone and telling them what to do. He certainly knew how to make even the carnivores feel meek before him.
Legoshi would too, if it was not for his father and grandfather's teachings. Legoshi was too confident to be easily intimidate by someone else. Still, he had no reason to stand up to Louis.
It was not as if the herbivore did anything bad to him, after all. Although Legoshi did found his arrogant presence to be quite unnerving at times. It reminded him too much of a certain someone he knew as a child.
"Weirdo. Weirdo. Weirdo.~"
Legoshi had to suppress the urge to growl, as he simply lowered his head deeper into the work he was currently doing. All so he could distract his mind from those intruding thoughts.
He didn't wanted to think of them.
He wanted to bury them under all of the work of the world so they would never resurface and come back to haunt him again.
The day progressed with Legoshi doing his best with the tasks he was assign by Dom, his senpai and lead of the stage crew. He was working hard, just like everyone else in Drama Club. Everyone in there was a hard worker, doing what they could to make sure that their next presentation would be the best, and still finding time to socialize with each other while they performed all of their tasks.
Well, everyone save for Legoshi.
The wolf preferred to keep his distance from others and only interact with them if it was something that had to do with the club activities. This did nothing to help with Legoshi's image as an antisocial carnivore. However, the hybrid just couldn't help it.
He just didn't felt like taking the initiative and trying to talk to any of them. Not with the distance that he felt between himself and them. He just didn't felt close enough of any of them to actually go and have a conversation out of the blue.
He wished he could be friends with all of them, but he just didn't felt close to any of the members of Drama Club.
Save for one...
"You still haven't told her?" Legoshi noticed as soon as he saw Tem close the door of his locker.
He had placed the letter in there.
"Oh, Legoshi!" Tem said as he noticed the hybrid's presence. He seemed to have forgotten that Legoshi didn't changed unless everyone else had left, as he thought he was all alone in there, now that everyone had changed and returned to their dorms to tuck in for the evening. He certainly seemed surprised for finding Legoshi in there.
He did, however, relaxed once he saw it was Legoshi and not someone else.
It would have made it all the more awkward for Tem if they caught him with that love letter. The letter that he intended to give to Els.
Tem had confessed to Legoshi that he was in love with Els, and that he planned to tell her how he felt. Apparently, it was a way to make Legoshi feel better for the fact that Tem knew his secret.
Tem rationalized that Legoshi would feel more secure about Tem keeping his secret if he also knew a secret of Tem. So, Tem confessed to the wolf that he had a huge crush on Els since the first time he laid eyes on her, and that she was his first love.
Legoshi did felt a bit awkward for knowing something like that about another guy, considering that he himself never liked a girl before...
"You plan to tell her soon?"Legoshi asked Tem, as he started to remove his hoodie and then his shirt.
"I, uhh..." Tem said, but them he adopted a more confident expression. "Yes, I will. I'll tell her soon. I just need the right moment to let her know my feelings."
"Good luck for you." Legoshi said to him, as he proceeded to remove his pants. Was it normal for a carnivore to be his comfortable by being only on his underwear around an herbivore? Especially if this carnivore was like Legoshi, who didn't looked like the average carnivore by any means.
"Yeah, I just need the right moment." Tem said, "Tomorrow will be it, for sure! Well, I gotta go now. See you tomorrow, Legoshi!"
And, with that, Tem was gone, leaving Legoshi all alone to change back into his regular clothes.
Once Legoshi was out, he was fully dressed, with his hoodie pulled over his head and his head down as he made his way back to his dorm, where all of his friends waited.
They would chat and maybe play some games for a while, before they all tucked in to sleep. Then, on the following morning, Legoshi would repeat all of his routine once more, what would eventually lead him to Drama Club, where more work waited for him, and where he would once more see is friend Tem, the only animal of Cherryton other than his dormmates whom he was actually close to.
