"Ok all done," Mordin said as Zenna sat up on the bed.

The minotaur cracked her neck as she looked toward the salarian. "All good?" she asked.

"Yes, yes, immune system not compromised and body is very healthy, for minotaur standards," Mordin said, in a way that made it seem that he was trying to be unintelligible. "Took blood samples,"

"Jussssst try not to break any lawsssss," Chackwas added.

Zenna shook her head as she left the madbay. "Just make sure to get ready to move out Mordin, Archangel isn't going to save himself,"

"Right, right," he said quickly. "I'll ger my equipment ready," he said before walking off.

OOOOO

The Blue Sun driver dropped Zenna, Mordan and Zaeed off at the base camp where the three merc groups gathered. As they climbed out of the skycar, a Batarian walked up to the three.

"About time they send us someone who looks like they can take care of themselves. Did the recruiter give you any details?" he asked.

"He was a little sketchy," Shepard answered making Zaeed scoff.

"We wouldn't get any recruits if they knew the truth," the Batarain shrugged.

Inwardly, Zenna smirked. "And what is the truth?"

"Freelancers are getting slaughtered," he shook his head. "Archangel used to have an entire squad but we took care of them, but he's smart. Barricaded the lower entrance so we can't get through. But he knows we got him cornered. Go see Sergeant Cathka. He'll fill you in on the attack plan," The Batarian walked away.

"In is going to be easy," Zaeed remarked. "Out is going to be a bitch,"

Zenna looked toward him with a smile. "That's the fun part," she said before the three of them made their way towards the base.

"I have analysed all possible routes to Archangel and all but one is blocked off," EDI chimed in over the comm.

"That's to be expected," Zaeed said.

"Yep, we're going with the mercs," Zenna nodded.

"It's best to look for ways to impede the mercenary forces for the upcoming battle," she added.

They entered in through the first doorway to see several Eclipse mercs sitting at a table. As Zenna walked up, one of them seemed to take issue with her and looked up at her with disgust.

"You need something?" one of the Salarians mumbled.

"You lead the Eclipse?" she asked her eye twitching.

"You figured that out by yourself?" he asked with sarcasm. "I'm Jareth. I run Omega's Eclipse. What do you need freelancer?"

Zenna began to open her mouth to say 'nothing', but stopped herself realising that this would be the best time to get some info. "Why is Eclipse after Archangel?"

That got a reaction out of the Salarian as he tightened his fists. "Archangel and his gang of vigilantes have been making things very difficult for Eclipse here on Omega. Eclipse controls around 20% of Omega, but since Archangel arrived, our control is questioned,"

As he talked, Zenna got a whiff of something. "This sounds more personal than that," she said.

The Salarian nodded in annoyance. "He raided one of my transports last month and killed two of my best operatives. One of them was my brother so yeah... This is personal,"

Zenna nodded. "Thanks for the info," she said walking off

"Fine," he sighed.

Shepard was about to exit the room when she saw a datapad. The mercs in the room weren't looking in their direction so Shepard snatched the datapad and walked out. As soon as she was out of the room, she opened the files it contained and read them.

"What's on the datapad?" Zaeed asked.

Shepard quickly scanned it. "Looks like these groups are going after Aria after Archangel. She would probably like to know about this,"

Zaeed nodded. "It pays to be on her... good side, I suppose."

"Yes indeed, may not like Aria, but better then merc rule," Mordin chimed in.

As they walked a bit further down the corridor, a door to their left opened revealing a lot of mechs. Zenna drooled over the sight of these walking tanks.

"Hey!" Zenna sapped out of her funk as she looked towards Zaeed.

"Finally, we have to get a move on," he said.

"Just, give us a moment," she said walking into the room.

"Ugh, I will never understand minotaurs," Zaeed muttered.

"Why?" Mordin asked with a curious tone.

"They care more about machines than humans," the merc said without looking in the Salarian's direction.

A moment later Shepard exited the room. "Mechs' IFF has been over-written," she smiled. "I also gave them a bit of a combat upgrade.

"Nice," Zaeed commented. "As soon as they turn on the mercs will take the fire,"

The three exited the hallway and went through the door across from them only to come face to face with a Blood Pack merc. "You're in the wrong room freelancer,"

She was about to leave but saw another chance to get more info. "You run Blood Pack," Zenna asked jokingly.

The Krogan heavily sighed. "Yes, I run Blood Pack on Omega. I'm Garm. Ask your questions and go,"

"What is your deal with Archangel?" she asked.

"He's been costing me business and men on Omega and making me work for my money. And he's a Turian which makes him slightly worse to look at than you," he answered.

The smell he was giving off made it clear that he was getting even more angry. "That's all," she said trying to stay on his good side, for now.

"'Bout time," he growled.

Shepard and the team left the room, only to witness a merc's head explode due to a well-placed shot. The three took cover when something hit Zenna's nose, something she hadn't smelled in ages. She looked over to where Ark Angel was. He was in cover, but she couldn't help shake a feeling that there was something familiar about this smell.

forward and to where the Blue Suns leadership was holed up. "Get this freelancer out of here," the Batarian merc yelled. "I don't have time for this shit!"

"Sorry," Zenna said. "Wrong room,"

The group pulled out of the room and looked to one another with a shrug. "Well, not getting too much info about them," Zaeed muttered.

"But there is that," Zenna nodded towards a gunship. "I think we can cause a bit of mayhem,"

The other two nodded and the three of them walked up to the hanger. Several Blue Sun mercs stood in front of the hanger talking as the commander approached.

"Cathka?" she asked.

The middle soldier nodded behind him. A Blue Suns Batarian merc stood up and de-polarized his visor. "Sergeant Cathka." he said turning to face them. "You must be the group Salki mentioned. You're just in time,"

"What are you waiting for?" Zenna asked.

"We're waiting for the infiltration team's signal. You have any questions before you go?" he asked.

"Are you leading the assault?" Zenna asked seeing how else she can be a thorn in the mercs side.

Cathka laughed. "Tarak doesn't pay me to fight. I just plan the attacks and fix the damn gunship. You freelancers get the privilege of-" The display on his terminal changed which got his attention. "Check, Bravo team! Go! Go! Go!"

Bravo team, the soldiers they just passed, walked away.

"Archangel has quite a surprise waiting for him. But that means no more waiting for me. I have to get this gunship to a hundred percent before Tarak decides he needs her again," he polarized his visor and went to the gun ship.

He focused on his work that he didn't notice Zenna move up behind him. she then grabbed his head and in one fluid motion, twisted his head backwards which was joined by a snap. He fell dead. Zenna then grabbed a few tools and made some 'adjustments' to the gunship.

"All done," she said as they exited

Shepard's squad followed behind Bravo team. "Archangel is going to be in trouble," Mordin noted.

"Then what the hell are we waiting for?" Zaeed asked out loud.

"Still got those explosives?" Zenna smiled.

Zaeed smiled and pulled a bandoleer of grenades from his belt and threw it towards where the mercs were coming from. They then hopped over the barricade, escaping the explosion. The Freelancers turned to see what happened, only for their heads explode from Archangel and the squad. As they moved into Archangel's base, Mordin fired an incineration blast at an unshielded merc. Zaeed fired a concussion round at another.

"Shit, they're wi….gel!" one of the mercs tried to yell but died as Zenna cut him down with assault rifle fire.

As they moved up to the top flaw, Zenna saw a merc setting a bomb. She charged up as he turned only for him to lock horns with her. Both minotaurs growled as they stared each other down. The merc was bigger and bulkier, and had the bulls head of the mythological version of minotaur's. Unlike the irregular type, the mythological ones were very very aggressive. And the bomber proved that by grabbing Zenna by the waist and throwing her at her friends.

The minotaur roared as Archangel came out of his hiding spot, and fired a concussion round at his back getting the beasts attention. He turned and roared at the turrian sniper, who quickly fall back and took cover. Zenna groaned as she stood back up and cracked her neck.

"Why did it have to be a mythical?" she asked pulling out her axe.

She then ran forward and plunged the axe into the minotaur's back. It roared as it quickly turned to try and attack her. Zenna didn't move out of the way fast enough and was back handed into a wall. Archangel used this change to jump onto the minotaur's back and used his knife to stab a few holes into the minotaur's neck. But the neck was so thick it wouldn't do much damage.

Zaeed then moved up firing a barrage of concussion rounds stunning it as he then jumped and drove his knife into the minotaur's head. It sluggishly roared and tried to swipe at the merc who jumped out of the way. Archangel fell off and backed up watching the blood pour from the beast. Zenna grabbed a grenade and forced it into the minotaur's mouth before backing up as it exploded turning the beast's head into little more than paint. What was left of the body fell down leaking blood.

The group relaxed as they looked to one another panting. "Archangel?" Zenna asked as she regained some of her breath.

The turrian reached for his helmet and removed it while he let out a small chuckle.

"Zenna I thought you were dead," Garrus Vakarian said as he sheathed his blade.

"Well hell can't keep me for long," Shepard quipped smiling.

"True," the turian admitted as he moved back over to his sniper spot and kept an eye out for other mercs.

"I kind of figured you were Archangel," she said tapping her nose as Mordin and Zaeed joined her.

"Well, it'd the name the mercs gave for 'all my good deeds. I don't mind it but please it's just Garrus to you," he said as he relaxed as he saw the mercs were just setting up for another wave.

Zenna indicated for Mordin and Zaeed to take cover and keep a watch. "So why Omega?" she asked as she took cover as well

"I got sick of C-Sec. Things just got worse after the battle of the Citadel. I wasn't able to help anyone," he aimed his sniper rifle. "Here on Omega, it is simple. All you need to do is point and shoot," his rifle bucked as he pulled the trigger.

"Look out!" one of the mercs said as a flame trooper's gas tank exploded taking out a group of Eclipse and Suns.

"Well, we're here now getting out won't be as easy," she muttered.

"True enough that bridges has saved my life funnelling those witless idiots in the scope. But it works both way's they'll slaughter us if we try to cross but with the three of you, I say we hold our ground wait for a crack in their defences then take our chances it's not a perfect plan but it's a plan," he said as he took another merc down.

But Zenna smile as she looked up at Garrus. "I have a better idea, I put a control virus into the eclipse mechs. One order and they'll go on a rampage,"

"And we can escape in the ensuing chaos," Zaeed muttered with a smile.

"A good plan," Mordin agreed.

Garrus nodded and looked over to the merc base. "When ready,"

OOOOO

"Get those mech's ready!" Jareth ordered as a group of Eclipse mercs moved to bring the mech racks out.

But as they did the mech's activated and looked around. "What the…" one of them asked before his head exploded as one of the mechs fired at him, blowing his head off.

The mech began to turn on and cut down the Eclipse merc. "Damn it," Jareth muttered.
