The Normandy docked with the prison station the airlock cycle took a bit of time to finish off before the door opened allowing the Zenna, Garrus and Miranda to enter the station. They followed the corridor to the main entrance. Where several Blue suns troopers stood. Just like others they had faced, they were mostly made up of turians, humans and batarians. But there was also a smell of hu-hound odour in the air. If they turned, this was going to be a problem.
As they approached one of the turian guards stepped forward. "Welcome to Purgatory Commander. Your package is being prepped and you can claim it shortly. As per regulation we must ask you to hand over your weapons," the Sargent said.
"No," Zenna said bluntly making the Blue suns click their safeties off.
"Everyone stands down," a turrian ordered as he walked up. "Commander I'm Warden Kuril. As procedure I'm afraid that I have to ask you for your weapons. They'll be returned to you on the way out,"
"It's my procedure to keep my gun," Zenna replied as she flexed her shoulders.
Kuril looked at the minotaur with an aggregated look while Zenna did the same, not intimidated by his look.
"Let them proceed, our facility is more than capable to handle three armed guests," as he said that the Sargent moved out of the commander's way. "We're getting Jack out of cryo now, as soon as the funds clear you can be on your way. If you'll please follow me to out possessing for the pickup commander,"
"Let's go." Zenna said as she and the other two came up to the Warden and followed him through the door.
"Cell block 2, as you can see, we keep tight control over the population," Kuril explained as Zenna watched an arm move a cell.
The idea of this place was good but costly. They could have built the station in an asteroid instead. It would have been cheaper and the planet they orbited could sent up supplies on a regular basis. Something about this place didn't seem right to her. The stink of fear was everywhere as well as other smells that she didn't even want to know where they came from.
"Each prisoner's cell is a self-contained modular unit, I've blown a few out the airlocks as an example. The ship is made up of thirty cell blocks identical to this one. We house thousands of criminals." the Warden boasted as they continued walking before turning around and stopping. "We can put the whole place on lockdown on a moment's notice. Nothing goes wrong here," he said facing the commander.
That just made her twitch, but she stood firm. His bare face told her all she needed know about his trustworthiness.
"What can you tell me about Jack?" she asked dismissing all other questions from her mind.
"Cerbrus hasn't told you?" Zenna shook her head. "Jack is the meanest handful of Violence and hate I ever encountered. Jack is crazy but very powerful. We separated her from the other and put Jack in cryo,"
"She's that bad?" Garrus asked.
"Her biotics are some of the most powerful that I have ever seen. I've seen her rip apart one of my mechs like it was nothing," he shook his head. "Dangerous, powerful, crazy, a bad combination,"
"Let's get moving," Zenna nodded.
"You must have had some escape attempts," Garrus commented.
"There's no need," Kuril answered with a hint of arrogance in his voice. "We're in space, they have nowhere to go, and they know it. But these are dangerous scum, so we exercise caution. But we do have many ways into dealing and controlling the population," soon he stopped and pointed down the corridor. "Out-processing is down that way. I'll go to check that the funds from Cerberus have been cleared,"
With that he walked off. As soon as he was out of earshot, Miranda spoke up.
"He smells," she muttered.
"In more ways than one," Zenna agreed.
"Spirits, I wish I had your sense of smell," Garrus moaned as the three walked own to Out-processing.
Aside from one member of staff Out-processing was practically empty. As the three moved further in, the staff made his way out of the room. Zenna reached down to her pistol and clicked the safety off. The other two did the same as they walked over to the far end where Jack was meant to wait for them. Zenna opened the door, only to find a cell there, just then the Warden came over the comm.
"Sorry Shepard but your more valuable to me as a prisoner than a costumer. Drop your weapons and proceed I to this open cell and you will not be harmed," he said as the team drew their weapons.
By way of an answer Zenna shot the camera before she and her team moved into cover.
"ACTIVAE SYSTEMS!" the Warden yelled.
As Security entered Zenna and the others opened fire on the Blue sun's and mechs. Two mechs fell as the rest of security moved into cover. Garrus used his sniper file to pick the security off but was hampered by the one-shot-reload of his weapon forcing him to take cover after every shot. Miranda's heightened senses, however, allowed her to aim for the weak points on each of the mechs destroying them and causing damage to the others. But due to the accuracy needed for the shots, she had to time her shots carefully.
It made her an easy target forcing her to be careful with her shots. But soon the last one fell, and the group exited the office, but then took cover on ether sides of the corridor as more Blue suns troopers started firing on them. Zenna took out a grenade and threw it in the Blue suns direction. It exploded killing them and wounded a few at the back which Garrus and Miranda finished off. They then ran down the corridor only for a dog mech to jump at Zenna, but she reacted by grabbing its leg and ripping the machine in two.
Garrus then opened the door and the staff member they saw earlier fired his gun at them. Miranda unloaded a burst round into him killing him. The three then approached the console. They looked through a window overlooking a cryo pod with four heavy mechs in their way.
"That's a lot of mechs," Zenna muttered.
Garrus looked down before looking at the terminal. "Shepard if you hack that control every cell on this block opens," he warned.
"But we need Jack." Miranda counted.
Zenna nodded. "Ether way we need to stop Kuril from selling more people he's little more than a slave trader. So, get ready," the two nodded as she pressed release.
An alarm sounded as an arm moved over to the cryo pod. The heavy mechs activated as the arm then unlocked the seal on the pod. the mechs readied themselves. The hiss of steam sounded as the mechs were fully turned to face the pod while the arm brought the pod up allowing everyone to see Jack.
Inside was an almost topless woman. She had the orange trousers of the other prisoners, but straps across her torso for a reason that made Zenna wince. She was also covered in tattoos with orange and black fur on her arms. A pair of tiger ears sat on her blad head.
"That's Jack?" Garrus asked.
"Is she…" Zenna began before Miranda answered.
"Bengali Tiger,"
Garrus was about to ask, but just then Jacks eyes opened and broke one of her cuffs off then the other before pulling her neck cuff off. Finally free she fell to her knees before looking up to see four mechs approach her. Her eyes glowed first, then her body as she stood before letting out an ear-piercing roar and charged. The biotic blast she used shook the entire room making Garrus and Miranda fall down while Zenna stood. Alarms started the echo across the
"We have to get down there!" Zenna yelled as she helped up her team mates and pulled them down the stairs.
"What's the problem?" Garrus asked.
"Bengali are one of the most aggressive demi-humans out there," Zenna said. "This is going to be hard.
OOOOO
Jack ran into the next hallway where two Blue Sun mercs waited for her at the end.
"Stop", one of them commanded.
She ignored him and pounced ripping his armour of and him to pieces. slammed them both into the sides of the hallway, killing them instantly. The other one tried to aim, but she pounced on him too ripping him to pieces as well. As she stood, she spat on his corpse before noticing the ship docked. Her eyes narrowed at the emblem on the side.
"Cerberus," she growled.
She gritted her teeth together in frustration as a Blue Sun merc tried to get a good spot to attack her. She turned to see him getting ready to fire, only for a bullet to zipp past her head and struck the mercenary in the head sending brains and blood everywhere. Jack turned to see a dark-skinned minotaur standing before her, smoking pistol in hand. Her instinct was to charge, but Jack knew better than that. She looked at the other two, a whorish-looking Cerberus officer and turian mercenary stood on either side of the black-haired soldier.
"What the hell do you want?" Jack spat.
"I just saved your ass," Zenna said as she put her pistol on her mag lock.
Jack just scoffed. "He was already dead. He just didn't know it. Now, what the hell do you want?"
"My name is Shepard. I'm here to get you off this ship,"
"I'm not going anywhere with you. You're with Cerberus," the tiger spat
"I'm working with Cerberus, not for Cerberus," the minotaur sighed.
"You show up in a Cerberus frigate to take me away somewhere. Do you think I'm stupid?"
"This ship is going down in flames. I've got the only way out. I'm offering to take you with me. And you're arguing,"
"We could just knock her out and take her," said the Cerberus cheerleader-whore. "I will be quicker,"
"Miranda..." Zenna warned.
"Look, you want me to come with you, make it worth my while," Jack said.
A blast echoed behind Zenna, making her shake her head. "We don't have time for this. Tell me what you're thinking,"
"I bet your ship has lots of Cerberus databases. I want to look at those files. See what Cerberus has got on me,"
"I'll give you full access," Zenna said quickly as more explosions echoed behind her.
"Shepard, you're no..." Miranda tried to say but was cut off by a piercing stare. "Apologies I'll do it,"
Jack was about to respond, but a blast sent a shockwave that knocked them all down on their faces. Grunting, Zenna looked behind her and her eyes went wide as fires broke out towards the main fuel and oxygen tanks.
"MOVE, IT'S GONNA BREACH!" she yelled.
The others didn't need convincing as they got up and ran towards the umbilical. Zenna was the last one to reach the pipe as the tanks detonated and breached the hull. She grabbed onto one of the railings as the decompression tried to pull her out. She growled and pulled herself into the tube. Gravity was lost causing her to float.
"I'm not getting spaced again," she declared as the door closed behind her.
She then pushed herself towards the airlock where she gained gravity again and joined the others inside. The airlock cycled and locked as the Normandy detached from the umbilical and pulled away as the station exploded. Zenna sighed as she leaned against one of the walls.
"Fucking bloody hell," she muttered as the airlock cycled.
Jack just looked down at her with the piercing eyes of a hunter. "You'd better keep your word," she said.
"A minotaur, never breaks their word," she said as the door finally opened.

Bengali Tiger:
A variant of the nekomata, the Bengali are mostly located in India and are naturally aggressive. Largely left alone in their tribes, they are known as trackers and hunters making them very useful as guerrilla fighters. Outside of combat, they are mostly farmers and woodcraftsmen.
