Woah, did LittleGhostCat upload a chapter in only one week! I thought she was always late! Wow, maybe I should review and follow her and all of her stories! Yeah!

That's my impression of you guys right now, btw

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Yes I'm one day late, sue me. I finished this at midnight, then my wifi went out so I couldn't upload it till today. Also I was fueled on mcyt tiktoks, mint tea, and girl in red.

Unfortunately, the funny little virus means that we must resort to Minecraft dates, which is what I'm doing. Here, have some chocolate.

Chapter 20

Chocolates, Roses, and Teddies (Oh My!)

"Over...over...little bit higher...little bit lower...left...no, no, to the right more...there! Perfect! Hold it right there!"

Ruby groaned. "How much longer do I have to stand like this for?" Ruby was leaning far forward, holding the plush heart pillow in place. One of her legs was on the ladder, the other stuck straight out like a flamingo or a stork.

Chica picked up a roll of red-and-pink heart-spotted washi tape and made her way towards the ladder that Ruby was precariously balancing on.

"My legs are starting to ache!" Ruby whined. Chica sighed.

"Don't be such a baby. You've been up there for like, two minutes tops."

Ruby just groaned. Chica ignored her and started her way up the yellow ladder.

"I hope you're not looking up my skirt." Ruby said dryly. Chica rolled her sky-blue eyes and chuckled.

"As if!"

"Hang on, hang on, that does sound like something you'd do." Bonnie teased, holding a small glass of pink lemonade punch, an orange-and-yellow striped umbrella resting lazily on this side of his drink.

"Oh, shut up, you pervert." Chica shot back. Bonnie just laughed and went back to his drink.

"You know, you could help." Mangle called from across the room, where she and Foxy were blowing up fat voluminous red, pink, and white heart-shaped balloons. Foxy was doing it manually, with his mouth, Mangle was using an air pump, the smarter and easier thing to do.

Bonnie shrugged. "Hey, I made this music myself. And you got me to wear a tie with hearts on it. Fricking hearts."

The music was a calm acoustic guitar mix, very chill. For Bonnie, who preferred metal or dubstep, peaceful instrumental guitar was a challenge. Bonnie, however, was very, very skilled in the guitar department, so the music was lovely even though it wasn't quite his style.

And the tie wasn't so bad.

Okay, maybe it was a little tacky. But Freddy had given it to Bonnie with love, and Bonnie wore it with as much pride and dignity as he could muster.

Chica, however, had no shame when it came to Valentine's Day, being the hopeless girly romantic she was. She was wearing a red overall dress dotted with pink and white hearts. There was a tight white ruffled tee underneath, and she had a pink bow in her short yellow hair in usual Chica fashion.

"You know, you could've worn a little Valentine's-y stuff." Chica chided to Ruby.

"I wore a red shirt. And a white headband." Ruby deadpanned.

"Yeah, and a black leather jacket and a black skirt and black boots and black earrings."

"Accessories."

"Suuuure. That skirt is not an accessory."

"Kind of is!"

"No, it's not. You wouldn't go out wearing nothing but a shirt and a headband, would you."

"Well, no, but I'm not just gonna go out in a pink skirt!"

"I know for a fact that you own a pink skirt and I have seen you wear it."

"Really. When?"

"Literally all the time. You're even wearing it on the cover!"

"Huh? What-"

"C'mere guys," Bonnie beckoned to Foxy, Mangle, and Freddy, shoveling chocolate-covered confetti popcorn into his mouth. "Ruby and Chica are fighting like an old married couple."

"Hm. Or like two kids in a daycare who won't share their toys." Freddy observed.

"Two shellfish shrimp." Foxy joked. "Get it, instead of selfish...ah, none of ye are listening to me."

"Like a chicken and a farmer." Mangle laughed.

"Well, I suppose I'm not needed right here then." Ruby sniffed, like some dainty upper-class lady with a poodle, although Ruby was anything but dainty, turning her nose up in the air.

"I suppose you aren't!" Chica said, turning to let Ruby pass on the rings of the ladder.

Ruby jumped onto the floor, deliberately landing hard so that her boots would make a loud sound and scuff the checkered tile linoleum floor.

Chica continued taping the heart to the wall, sticking her tongue out a little as she did so. The room was silent. Foxy blew up a balloon. Mangle picked at a hole in her black tights with little red pixelated hearts on them. Freddy fiddled with his matching heart tie. Bonnie took a slow sip of his lemonade.

Then all of a sudden the door slammed open with a bang as it hit the wall. Chica yelped in surprise and wobbled on the top rung for an agonizingly long period of time before, with a screech, she toppled over and tumbled down to the floor.

Ruby noticed Chica falling, and in a split second, rushed forward to catch her, dip style.

"Nice! My baseball skills, coming in handy." Ruby det Chica down on the floor and did a fist-pump, Chica flushed red. She spotted the two newcomers, and easily identified them as Josh and Tulisa!

"Oh! Hey guys! Uh, when did you two get here…?" Ruby asked.

"Just in time, I see." Josh said, winking. Tulisa giggled. "You two having fun?"

"Oh my God Tulisa, shut up! I was literally helping her to the floor." Ruby yelled. They just laughed.

"Wow, you guys really go extra on the decorations for the holidays!" Tulisa said, admiring the room.

"Yeah...mm, this punch is amazing!" Josh exclaimed, taking a sip of the fruit drink. Freddy beamed.

"Thank you! I made it myself."

Tulisa nodded, then scooted closer to the five animatronics, plus Ruby.

"But you know what tastes better? CUPCAAAAKES!" Tulisa proceeded to whip out three trays of beautiful vanilla, chocolate, and even strawberry shortcake cupcakes, topped with red, white, or pink icing and dusted with either small berries or colourful sprinkles in different shapes and sizes.

Chica's eyes went huge. "Cupcakes?" She dashed over, picked one up, peeled the wrapper off, and took a humongous bite of a vanilla cupcake topper with pink icing and yellow star sprinkles, exactly Chica's favourite. She chewed it thoughtfully, and then her eyes lit up!

"Mmmm...these are amazing! Who made them?" Chica asked, delighted.

Tulisa pointed to Josh, who grinned sheepishly.

"I really like cooking," He took a bite of a red strawberry cupcake with little tiny blueberries on top. "You get to eat your reward!"

Everyone laughed, and helped themselves to a cupcake. Everything was fine, eating cupcakes, admiring the scenery, looking outside at the starry night sky, listening to Bonnie's music, chatting amongst themselves. Everything was fine, until the door swung open with voices following.

"Quick! Change!" Ruby hissed under her breath, shoving them in the direction of the stage. The five animatronics obliged, quickly shifting from their human form to robot form in an impressive matter of seconds. Ruby, Tulisa, and Josh tried their best to speedily assemble themselves into some position that hopefully didn't seem incredibly suspicious.

In walked two men and a woman.

The first man had curly hair and a boyish smirk, along with a small goatee. His hair was a deep shade of ebony, his eyes were a warm root-beer-brown and he had dark coffee-coloured skin. He was wearing an oversized pale yellow hoodie and dark blue baggy jeans. He looked to be in his mid-twenties or so.

Then the girl. She had her dark hair in a short pixie cut, dyed half black and half bubble-gum-pink. She had bright red lipstick on her thin lips, along with huge fake lashes and l-o-o-o-n-g eyeliner wings to go with it. She was wearing a lot of chunky jewelry, and wore a black tee over a striped pink shirt with black ripped leggings. She looked like she was in her late twenties.

And finally, the other man. His hair was a light, light platinum blonde, with black roots showing he may have dyed it. His eyes were flat and gray, and he looked incredibly skinny, tall with a willowy build. He was wearing a turtleneck with long sleeves and sweatpants. It was hard to tell how old he was, but he looked to be maybe in his forties or early fifties.

All three wore the same badge that Ruby did on their chest. It read 'Freddy's Employee'.

Ruby cleared her throat.

"Uhm. Hello, fellow employees! How are you on this fine night? Care for some punch or a cupcake?"

Josh swallowed his bite nervously. The girl was staring right at him. She blew a big pink bubble and popped it, glaring at Josh.

The tall blonde man surveyed the room with a calm, serene gaze. Over the decorations, the animatronics…

"What is the Mangle doing outside the Parts & Service room?" The man asked angrily.

"Uh...she wanted a cupcake?" Ruby tried weakly. The younger man snorted dubiously.

"Yeah, sure. And this music was played by Bonnie."

Ruby, Tulisa, and Josh shared a worried look.

"Heh…" Josh managed.

The three adults sighed.

"I'm James Smith, and this is Drake Fisher and Reggie Magnolia. We're security here, and we want to know who you are and what you three are doing here after hours."

The blonde man, James, instructed them.

Ruby pointed to her night guard cap, which was sitting on her head, crooked to one side.

"Gee, Sherlock, wonder how you could've figured this one out." Ruby said sarcastically.

Drake rolled his eyes.

"We know you're the night guard. How old are you, fifteen?"

"I'm sixteen." Ruby growled.

Drake waved his hand dismissively. " are these two?"

Ruby shot a panicked glance at the twins.

"Um. This is...Tulisa, one of the mechanics. And this is Josh, who's her intern." Ruby nodded as if to confirm it. She was glad the twins looked nothing alike, besides their matching messy gray-brown taune hair.

Reggie glanced at the twins.

"Bit young to be working at your own business, eh?" She chuckled, snapping some more gum.

Tulisa put her hands on her hips.

"Well, excuse me. I am twenty-three, and how dare you say otherwise. I am sick and tired of people judging me for my size, miss twenty-one-year-old."

Reggie backed away.

"I was...just kiddin'. Jeez." She huffed.

"What are you three doing out here with all this junk food?" James asked. "Having a party?"

Ruby crossed her arms.

"We. Um. We were just eating the leftover cupcakes from the daytime." Ruby told him.

"Yes! We were doing that!" Josh popped in with his sparkly positive reinforcement.

Way to go. Ruby thought, rolling her eyes at him.

James nodded, seeming to believe their blatantly obvious lie. "Okay. The place seems fine enough. You keep doing what you're doing, and leave at six. Also, Walter told me to tell you that we're having a staff meeting next week, so be prepared for that."

Ruby gave him a thumbs up. "Can do."

"Got the keys?" Drake asked her. Ruby reached into the pocket of her leather jacket and swung the keys around her finger. James nodded, and the three adults headed for the exit. James took out his key and locked the door.

Josh ran to the front door and peered out the window to the parking lot. When he could confirm that the three workers were gone, he cupped his hands over his mouth and shouted;

"THE COAST IS CLEAR!"

"Could you be any more obvious?" Mangle asked sardonically, dusting off her black high-waisted jean shorts.

"Uh, what time is it?" Tulisa asked, checking her wrist and finding no watch.

Ruby luckily had one, and she checked the time. "Uh, it's like 1:20ish?" She told Tulisa.

"Oh crap. Josh we have to go. Dad said we need to be back at 1:30, and it's almost time."

Josh stuffed another cupcake in his mouth. "Uh, swure. Jfuft flet me finiff thif cupcake."

Tulisa rolled her eyes. "Now! C'mon, I'll drive."

Ruby considered something.

"Wait, Tulisa, aren't you supposed to be sixteen before you can have your driver's license?"

Tulisa shrugged. "I don't know. I got my restricted driver's license when I was fourteen and a half in South Dakota, so I do know how to drive…" She shrugged again. "It's not like I'm a threat to the community or anything."

Ruby waved her hand. "You do you. Well, bye! It was fun!" Ruby called.

Freddy nudged his friends, who had all been completely ignoring the twins and the situation.

"Bye! Thank you for the cupcakes!" They chorused in sync.

"Bye!" Tulisa and Josh called from the parking lot. Everyone watched, crowded in a clump by the window, as Tulisa's (well, her parents') white Honda pulled out of the parking lot and drove off to their house. Ruby, realizing she'd never actually seen their house, made a mental note to go over and check the place out sometime soon.

Foxy sprung back from the window once they were completely out of sight.

"So who's up for some Craftmine?" Foxy yelled.

"Meee!" Chica, Ruby, Mangle, and Bonnie called. Freddy hung back. Freddy wasn't really one for video games, but he always tried to play whenever they did a big group game, so it wasn't like him to not play with the crew.

"Ah, I have some stuff to take care of. I might come in in an hour or so."

Bonnie gave him an odd look. "Okaaaay. Well, make sure you play at some point. I want you on my team."

Freddy nodded absent-mindedly and walked away down the right hallway. The five others gave each other weird looks, but then headed into Bonnie's room to play.

•••

(I'm pretty sure everyone knows how to play Minecraft at this point, if you don't then look it up)

"Oh my God, these stupid skeletons! I'm on one heart! Foxy, help me!" Chica screeched. Foxy, who in-game was right beside her fighting off zombies, shook his head.

"Alas, I cannot. These rotting scallywags are teaming up on me!" Foxy yelled.

Ruby laughed.

"You guys are such noobs. We're already at the stronghold." The achievement 'Eye Spy' popped up in chat, confirming that they, in fact, were already there.

"WHAT?! Foxy, do you have a map or something? Where the heck are they?" Chica screeched.

"'Fraid not. But, I do have thirty-nine beetroot seeds!"

Chica groaned.

The five of them had been playing three-on-two Craftmine PvP, with Ruby, Mangle, and Bonnie on one team and Foxy and Chica on another. In retrospect it seemed like a good idea, but Ruby proved to be an incredibly skilled player, using weird glitches, tricks, and other things none of them had even thought of to get all the essential items for beating the game in a matter of minutes. Wheras Chica and Foxy, who weren't...the best at Craftmine, were struggling.

"This is so unfair!" Chica yelled, after dying to the skeletons and respawning miles away. Foxy died too, respawning right next to her in their little cave hideout.

Bonnie chuckled as the achievement 'The End?' popped up in the chat, signifying that the three of them were at the final boss battle, and another step closer to beating the game and winning the challenge.

"Foxy, do you have anything that can help us?" Chica asked again in desperation.

"Uh...forty oak wood planks, three raw salmon, an iron shovel, sixty-four torches, thirty-nine beetroot seeds, a bucket of water, a compass, twelve carrots-"

"Waitwaitwait. Did you say a compass?" Chica asked. Foxy nodded. "Correct!"

"OH, MY GOD FOXY. Remember when I asked you if you had anything and you said no?" Chica groaned.

"You just asked if I had a map, which I don't." Foxy countered stubbornly.

"Yeah, but-"

"Almost all the crystals are down!" Bonnie sing-songed, referring to the crystals that healed the Ender Dragon, the final boss. Mangle pulled back her bow and shot down another, a loud explosion following.

"Wait, they're not too far from here! Go, hurry!" Chica yelled. The pair sped across the desert and arrived at a village.

"I see the hole!" Foxy yelled, referring to the hole Ruby, Bonnie, and Mangle must have dug in order to reach the stronghold. Chica and Foxy jumped down, straight into the portal room, and were just about the jump into the End Portal when…

The door flew open.

Ruby paused everyone's game and they all turned to see who was at the door.

Freddy cleared his throat. "Um, do you guys mind if I join in?"

Ruby grinned. "Of course not. C'mon, there's plenty of room on the floor. You can be on Foxy and Chica's team, I'll teleport you."

Freddy grinned, taking a seat and picking up the controller. As Mangle and Bonnie wrote a message on a sign that got censored, sadly, and Chica and Foxy bickered over who was the better player, Ruby grinned. This had been the best Valentine's Day ever.

I think this chapter is shorter. I hope it is. The last 3 have been 6500 words each, holy potatoes.

Also, I do not know what I will do for the next chapter. Although I am very excited to write the next Steve chapter because it will be on a very interesting topic…! Let me know if you want the next chapter to be a Steve one or focusing on a different character.

Bye for now!
