Chapter 1: New beginning

It was a sunny day outside. Only Libby and Mr. Williams were the only people left in the classroom. The clock was tic-tacing and Libby was more nervous than ever. While Mr. Williams was checking her test, she was praying in her head to get a good grade. The night before the test, she studied so much...

After Mr. Williams checked the last questions, he wrote Libby's grade and gave it to Libby. Libby closed her eyes, prayed one last time for a good grade, slowly opened them... And saw a perfect 'A+'.

''Congratulations Libby! I knew you can do it! One more week and you will enjoy your summer vacation with your friends!''

Libby couldn't believe she actually did it. She got a perfect 'A+' on math. This was one of the best days in her life. Before she left the classroom, she hugged her math teacher.

''Thank you so much Mr. Williams!'' Libby said.

At first, Mr. Williams was surprised from Libby's hug, but he understood she was very excited from her grade. He hugged her back.

''Nothing to worry about Libby. Every student deserve to have a little break from school. Hope you and your friends are ready for Brighton middle school's summer party!''

Libby freed him and was little confused, when he said that.

''But didn't the party already happened?''

''It did, but... You know it didn't end very wel... That's why this year, there will be one more exatcly before the summer vacation. This time with way more security...''

This year's summer party ended... With a massive massacre from shadow demon. Everyone in Brighton was shocked and sadened by the mysterius attack and no one knew what exatcly did that... However Libby was one from the few people who actually knew...

''I understand... I hope this one will be better... Once again, thanks Mr. Williams, bye!'' Libby said as she left the classroom.

Molly and Scratch were waiting for Libby outside the classroom.

''How did it go?'' Molly asked, nervously.

''I did it! I got an 'A+'!''

When Libby said this, Molly jumped from joy. From the first to the last second, she believed Libby could do it. She embraced her in a tight hug.

''YES! I knew you can do it! I'm so proud of you Libby!''

''Thanks Molly'' Libby said, as she hugged her back.

''Congrats Libs. Even I couldn't get an 'A+' in any math test as kid'' Scratch said.

''Why, thank you Scratch. One more week and we are finally free!''

...

An hour after the test, Molly and Libby were at the park eating ice cream, while Scratch went to the ghost world to hang out Clara... Still just as friends.

''Sweet baby corn, I can't believe summer is almost here. Time flies really fast!'' Molly said.

''I know right! Also did you know, the school will make another summer party?''

''Really?''

''Yeah. They decided to try to make another one, since... You know how the last one ended...''

Both Molly and Libby had sad faces on their faces. After... Scratch lost control of his corruption, he killed so many kids and teachers. It wasn't easy for the people of Brighton... It wasn't easy for Scratch either. He couldn't even look at the McGees and Molly after the incident...

''Speaking of which, how is Scratch?'' Libby asked.

''Oh, alot better. He is visiting a ghost therapy since... It really was hard for him to move on, after the incident. He started to FINALLY eat his salad... Even though, I watch him how he eats it, or he will probably throw it away like aways. And he and Clara start to get closer!''

''That's good to hear. Are they officaly a couple?'' Libby asked.

''Still no... BUT, I made many plans on how to get then together''

''Didn't Scratch tell you, he doesn't want to get with her?''

''Yes, but I will secretly bring them closer... To the point when they will finally confess their love! Even if it means to do it, without his permition. Speaking of love, how are the things between you and Charlotte?''

''Oh they are great! Me and Charlotte are really close. We go around Brighton together, we give each other love cards and she said, she has a secret surprise for me''

''Ohhhhhh a secret love surprise. Any ideas what it could be?'' Molly asked with a grim smile.

Libby blushed when Molly asked that.

''Well... I already have some guesses what it could be, but I will wait''

Recently Libby and Charlotte started to kiss... As time went by, more and more passionate. Charlotte also started to give Libby very flirty looks about... Her secret surprise, so Libby knew what it could be.

While she was thinking about it, she saw a little cute bunny right nex to them. Molly was dying from cuteness, while Libby... Was feeling little hungry, while she was watching it.

''Awwwww, look at this little guy. Isn't he so cute?'' Molly asked, as she picked it up.

''Yeah... Very cute...''

When Molly heared how Libby's voice changed for a moment... She became little worried.

''Uhhhhhh, Libby? Is everything ok?''

Libby snapped out from that weird... Hunger.

''Oh, uh yeah... Perfect. Anyways, my mom wants me to help her in the bookshop, so I will have to leave''

''No problem! See you tomorrow?''

''Of course. Bye, sunshine!''

When Libby called her sunshine, Molly was once again dying from cuteness.

''Aw, Libby you are so sweet. I love you!'' Molly said, as she hugged her.

''I love you too, Molly'' Libby said, as she hugged her back.

Scratch and Clara had wonderful time together. They visited every interesting and fun place in the ghost world and had amazing time together. And of course the whole time, Scratch was extremely nervous.

''And then, this guy tried to rob me, but I KICKED HIM WITH ALL THE POWER I HAD IN THE TESTICLES. He started to scream in pain and then...

While Clara was talking, Scratch was watching her with love look in his eyes. She just looked so beautiful, it was impossible to not look at her like that.

''I grabbed his arm and... Scratch? Scratch! Helloooo? Are you ok?''

Scratch snapped out of his love staring, embarassed.

''Oh, uh, yeah, pretty funny. Sorry... You are very distracting...''

Both him and Clara blushed.

''So... How is Molly?''

''Oh, well you know. She is excited about her summer vacation. Usual kids stuff''

''You two are really close to each other''

''Yeah, she is my best friend. This little girl sure changed my afterlife...''

''Ah yeah, I had kids when I was alive. They are like little angels, that only bring happiness. Bring happy memories, grow up, have their own life... It's beautiful''

Scratch really loved Molly... However, it was scaring him how fast she is growing up. She was already very close to her 15 birthday... He had no idea, how time was flying so fast, so he enjoyed every moment he was spending with Molly.

''It is in fact beautiful... And kinda scary...'' Scratch said.

''It can be little scary, but hey... That's life. It was nice seeing you again Scratch, but I sadly have to go now. We can hang out some time again''

''YES! Uhh... I mean, of course we can... If you want to...'' Scratch said, as he blushed again.

Clara noticed how nervous he was... So, she decided to do something...

''Yeah... Bye Scratch!'' Clara said, as she hugged him.

The moment she hugged him, Scratch turned red like a tomato. He just froze, realizing that his biggest crush is hugging him.

''B-B-Bye Clara...''

Clara freed him and flew away. Scratch was standing there, both happy and frightened from her hug. He was also mad at himself.

''UGH! I'M SUCH AN IDIOT! WHY AM I SO NERVOUS AROUND HER?'' Scratch was talking to himsel.

While Scratch was preparing to go back to the human world... He noticed something. A dark figure, watching him in the distance... He blinked and it was gone. At first he was confused what this was, but decided to ignore it. But then... He saw a little piece of paper, on the same place where that figure was. He flew there and picked up, curious to see it. There were only two words, written on it...
