Hi, future me here. So this chapter contained a plot point that was deleted, so I got rid of that bit and kept the rest. The deleted plot point was Ruby's mom being pregnant, which I felt didn't work well with the story. I apologize for the weirdness of this, as it is a very short chapter. Anyways, enjoy!
I don't know if you guys heard, but Scott Cawthon is actually retiring, he announced it a couple days ago on his website, Scottgames .com. It's sad, but I do respect his decision. He'll still be somewhat present, and he wants to spend time with his family which makes sense. There was also some controversy about Scott, which I won't get into. If you want to know more, check out Dawko's or someone else's video.
Reviews!

Chapter 35
New Blood (I literally don't know what else to call this)
Well, dinner was a bust.
After Ruby was tasked with making it, she somehow managed to burn it. Which she'd never done before, she used to be the queen of boxed mac and cheese!
So they had to compromise with a salad, which nobody was thrilled about. To make up for it, Raven dug out some ancient popsicles and they had that for dessert. Rylie was fascinated with her now bright blue tongue.
They put Rylie to bed, and at 11:12 pm, Ruby decided that she wanted gummy bears.
She, of course, wasn't allowed gummy bears past ten. But nobody was here to stop her! Raven was either asleep or in her bed reading, so she'd be up there all night.
Ruby snuck down, avoiding the creaky steps with expertise, and s-l-o-w-l-y opened the cabinet.
Hurray! There was the junk food! There were all the best kinds - Light's Potato Chips, Risa's Piece-a's (Risa Acharya from school's dad owned a candy company, which she loved to brag about), and there, smack-dab in the middle, were her favourite - sour gummy bears!
Ruby had her hand deep in the package when she heard a sound from the living room. Not knowing what else to do, she froze in place. Who'd be down here?
Raven emerged from the living room, tugging on a black hoodie and lugging a backpack over her shoulder. She had her short hair in a ponytail, black sneakers, and was carrying a black thermos of what smelled like coffee. It was obvious to anyone that Raven was planning on going somewhere.
And then she spotted Ruby and froze in her place as well.
Ruby slowly lifted a lime-flavoured green gummy bear into her mouth and decided to compromise.
"I won't tell if you don't."
Raven sighed and ran a hand through her dark hair.
"Listen, it's- it's not what it looks like. Well- it's- I don't know. I was going to go meet Chester and Anna at the park. We- no, I wanted to say goodbye to him. I mean, I'm moving across the whole damn country! And I don't even know if we'll stay together. Which is such a scary thought, 'cause we've been together for five whole years, and known each other for nine! And, well...he's moving to Toronto tomorrow. So me and Anna figured we should at least say goodbye, and I thought that this was the perfect opportunity to."
Ruby was unsure on what to say to this, so her dumb brain decided to say something unsympathetic.
"Can I have some of your coffee?"
She mentally face-palmed. Why was she so bad at comforting people?
Raven made a face and glanced at the coffee. "Are you sure? I thought you weren't allowed to have coffee at seventeen. Stunts your growth, or whatever."
Ruby rolled her eyes.
"It's not like I'm asking you for meth or anything." Ruby made grabby hands at the thermos. "Gimme!"
Raven sighed and passed the thermos to her. "Just a sip. Then I'll need to get going."
Ruby took a languid sip of the dark liquid, swallowed, then suddenly spat it out onto the floor. Crap. That would be annoying to clean up.
"Eughh, it's so bitter! Didn't you put any cream or sugar in this?" Ruby needed bleach for her tongue, stat.
"It's not tea, and no, I like it black." Raven sighed. "See you tomorrow, I guess?"
Ruby nodded and popped two blue gummy bears joined at the arm into her mouth.
"Sure. Have fun!"
"You too."
Raven left out the front door silently, leaving Ruby to sit at the kitchen table with her gummy bears and wander her thoughts that floated around aimlessly in her mind.
