Bonnie sighed as his true crime audiobook ended the sixth chapter on a cliffhanger. He hated it when they did that, it was always so annoying. He wanted to know what happened to the girl after she discovered her two friends' secret! But he was way too tired to stay awake for another chapter. He leaned over and paused, then exited out of his library app. Most of his other friends were still awake. For the nights, the animatronics would sleep if they were tired, and stay awake if they weren't. Bonnie typically was a night owl, but he hadn't gotten sleep in a while and he was starting to hear voices, which wasn't usually a good sign.

He heard Ruby screaming about cats in some other room. He rolled his eyes and put his earplugs in. Sweet, sweet silence. He fell asleep in a matter of minutes, which was new. Usually his brain wouldn't shut off for hours, racing from one random thing or idea to the next.

Bonnie sighed, as drifted off into one of the most important dreams he'd ever have.

Bonnie could tell immediately from the second he fell asleep that this dream was going to be a visit to Maegan. He didn't quite know how he could tell, he just could. But this time, it was different. Instead of landing on a soft, pink, cotton-candy-cloud, he was submerged in...a colourful ball pit? Did Maegan do this? Probably. Weird...

Of course, this was all fine and dandy, until the ball pit started sucking him in, down deeper and deeper. Bonnie clawed at the surface, trying to get his head high enough to get a gasp of air, but to no avail. Eventually, he gave in to the mysterious force and let himself drown in the plastic. It suddenly became a lot more peaceful. Comfortable, even. Bonnie hated it.

Bonnie had heard about this. About how, if you are drowning, your body will do anything to claw and scratch its way to the surface. It's why lifeguards can't get too close to a drowning person, as the person will try to climb up the lifeguard's body without even meaning to. But once you were down too far, there was a strange sense of calm that overwhelmed you.

It scared Bonnie. It felt like losing control of his mind, of his limbs. That total feeling of giving up.

But then, lucky for him, he dropped down, in a dimly lit...cave? A cavern made of colourful plastic balls! He looked around in wonder. The colours cast beams of lights like tiny rainbow disco balls. It was almost like a dance party down here. He felt like there should be a DJ standing at a booth, mixing songs and using turntables.

But instead, he saw Maegan, curled up against a wall.

Bonnie paused, then walked over.

"Hey. Are you okay?" He asked.

Maegan shook her head. "What do I even say to that anymore? No? Yes? I mean, there's really no point in lying anymore. I'm trapped in a room with a little girl with Stockholm syndrome, and the man that murdered me. And you too. And then my mind decides to torture me with flashbacks. Really, ball pits? How creative. Here I'll get rid of this disguise. I mean, there really is no point to it anymore."

Maegan concentrated for a few moments, then there was a flash of sparkly rainbow light. And then her appearance began to change. Bonnie took a step back as he slowly began to recognize the girl standing in front of him, a girl he thought to have passed on to the afterlife.

She had short, fluffy black hair in two pigtails, tan skin, and golden eyes. She was wearing a chunky-knit golden-yellow sweater and a black overall skirt. Knee-high star-printed socks were underneath fancy black Doc Martins. She had a yellow headband and a golden party hat on her head.

There was no doubt about it. The girl was Cassidy Newton.

"Cassidy? What are you doing- wait, is this the afterlife? Are you haunting my dreams? What happened?" Bonnie had so many questions. He kind of wanted to hug her. He hadn't seen the tall girl for almost five years now!

She sighed and took a seat.

"Well, after I didn't make it into the suit in time, I expected to die, or at least go to heaven or hell or the afterlife or whatever it is. But instead, I found myself in a dark empty void with only a sketchbook. I was there for what seemed like months, before I was suddenly kicked out with a flash of blue light. I opened my eyes and saw William standing there. I was connected to a lot of tubes, and there was another little girl in the room, Jojo. Turns out William had figured out how to bring souls out of Shadow, as he called it."

So that's where I've been living for a while now. In a stupid, tiny, sewer. Also, I get the feeling he's trying to kill you all and take Ruby back. You tend to hear a lot of his evil monologues, living with him. And Jojo's not much better, she even helps him with stuff. She's an orphan, I heard, so I think she sees him as a father figure. I feel bad for her, she's only seven. Oh, yeah, and it turns out I can communicate with someone else, finally. I'm not sure why, but you used to be the only one I could communicate with. But I managed to contact Charlie, and she said she's heading to your pizzeria. What's the address, by the way? She said she needs it."

Bonnie's head was spinning. What- Shadow, Charlie, Cassidy, William trying to kill them- what was even happening? So much information, all at once.

"Uh, 4269, Astley Drive. And, are we in immediate danger? Like, is it William-is-coming-with-a-giant-axe kind of dangerous?"

Cassidy shook her head. "Nah, he realized that probably wouldn't work. I think he wants you to come to him. And hey, you can probably take him. Five big scary robots versus one lame old creepy jerk?"

"Ehhh, he's got some tricks up his sleeve. I'm sure it won't just be him." Bonnie muttered. If there was one thing he knew about William, it was that he was extremely stubborn. He wouldn't go down without a fight, and even then he still wouldn't end up going down. The guy was like a cockroach, able to survive anything. It was actually kind of annoying.

Cassidy smiled. "I really should be going now. Tell your friends I said hi, and please be careful. Charlie will be there soon, trust her." Cassidy told him. She stood up and hugged him tightly. Bonnie, who really wasn't much of a hugger, made an exception for Cassie. She was his best friend, after all. "I've missed you, Jer." She whispered. Cassidy had never been a crier.

"Me too, Cass. Me too."
