"How was the recovery of the specimen?" Asked a wolf seriously
"It was successful, right now they are transporting it to where the healers are to treat their wounds" explained another wolf
"Excellent, everything goes as planned, we just need a couple more ingredients and we can start with our plan," said the wolf smiling
"I will prepare the recovery and extraction groups to get these ingredients," said the other wolf before retiring
"Soon the greatest experiment ever conducted will begin," the wolf told himself as he looked in the direction of the united herds.
The next day in Sally's cave
Humphrey: I groaned in pain as I opened my eyes, "Damn, everything is spinning"
Sally: I approached Humphrey when I heard that he began to react, "take it easy you're still quite hurt," I said quickly while preventing him from getting up sharply
Humphrey: "What happened?" I asked still baffled
Sally: "you fainted, rather, Light made you faint" I explain

Kate: "Sally told me that in a month or two approximately, suddenly a little earlier," I said

Kate: "Thank you, but you can leave me here, I don't know how long it will take me and I don't want to make you wait," I said kindly
Janice: "Okay, we understand," I said nodding
Kate: I smiled and entered Sally's cave, "Hi Sally, are you here?"
Sally: "yes, Kate, let me finish this and greet you properly," I said from inside the cave as I finished giving medicine to a wolf, when I finished walking to the entrance of the cave and said, "Hi Kate, I was waiting for you"
Kate: "He woke up?"
Sally: "yes, a couple of hours ago" I said nodding
Kate: "Good," I said cheerfully as I approached where I was
Sally: "Just remember to take things easy, and they have to talk," I said seriously
Kate: I nodded and said "yes, I know," and kept walking to where Humphrey was
Humphrey: "Hello beautiful," I said cheerfully when I saw Kate approach
Kate: "I'm glad to see you awake," I said with joy, "How do you feel?" I asked worried
Humphrey: "Pretty sore, but I'll be fine," I said calmly
Kate: "I'm relieved to hear that," I said as I let out a sigh of relief, "but we have to talk," I said seriously
Humphrey: "About what?" I asked worried
Meanwhile with the puppies of Kate and Humphrey
Star: We were playing while we waited for Mom to come back, but I noticed that Silver was apart and distracted, so I approached him and asked tenderly, "What do you have brother?"
Silver: "It's nothing," I said with a sigh while shaking my head
Star: "Come on, don't be like that tell me" I insisted
Silver: "You wouldn't understand sister," I said shaking my head
Star: that comment bothers me and jumps on him, "Don't treat me as ignorant," I said seriously
Silver: "It's not that, it's something that I don't think you understand" I tried to explain
Star: "We won't know that unless you tell me," I said seriously.
Silver: I sighed since I didn't want to continue dealing with the subject, but I knew that my sister would continue to insist, "Well, you win"
Star: I smiled and said "I hear you"
Silver: "I'm frustrated, because I couldn't help Dad in battle," I explained.
Star: "Is that just that?" I asked, puzzled, "We all feel bad about not being able to help Dad, but we're just puppies, we don't have training, nor the necessary skills," I reminded him
Silver: "But I managed to awaken the maximum potential, and despite that I could not help him" I explained annoyed

Lilly: "Where are you going?" I asked Garth to notice that he was going to leave the cave
Garth: "I'm going to organize some alphas for the afternoon hunt," I said

A couple of minutes before with Kate and Humphrey
Humphrey: "So what do you want to talk about?" I asked worried
Kate: "Surely Sally had already mentioned it to you, but you are demanding a lot, you almost died this time," I said annoyed, but with concern
Humphrey: "Kate, I must do it, it is my responsibility" I tried to explain, but she interrupted me
Kate: "Don't say that, I know that being stronger than others also makes you have a responsibility towards them, as alphas we must learn that we must protect omegas, and puppies, but you also learn to work in teams, and trust in your classmates" I said seriously
Humphrey: "It's because everyone has the same level of responsibility," I said

Kate: "Why is it different?" I asked seriously, but I saw how Humphrey just fell silent, "Answer me!" I yelled seriously

Humphrey: "Since we returned from the trip, I went to visit them and I could see how my father had weakened," I said sadly, it really broke my heart to see him like this

Humphrey: I sighed sadly and said, "Thank you for reminding me."

Sally: "Don't be exaggerated," I said rolling my eyes
Humphrey: "I do not exaggerate, really it is the bitter thing I have tasted in my life" I said quite disgusted
Sally: "You look like a puppy," I said mockingly
Humphrey: "Then try it," I said defiantly
Sally: "Well, I will do it and I will show you how exaggerated you are," I said as I rolled my eyes, then I approached the sheet and licked some liquid that had remained in it, but almost immediately I spit it out.
Humphrey: "once I was bitter" I said victorious
Sally: "I think I put too much berry bush root," I said as I shook my head, "I'll go for some water," I said
Humphrey: "Could you bring me a little please" I asked
Sally: "Okay, just because it was my mistake," I said before leaving the cave
Humphrey: when I looked back at Kate I noticed that I was enduring the desire to let out a big laugh, "Did you have fun?" I asked as he raised an eyebrow
Kate: "Yes a little," I said as I calmed down
Humphrey: "Yes, it was a good change of subject," I said with a sigh
Kate: "Quiet honey, I know you are going through a hard time, but you know that I will support you in everything, besides there is nothing wrong with enjoying the good moments, no matter how small, you should not focus only on the bad" I said with love
Humphrey: I smiled and said "You're right, thanks"
Kate: I smiled and gave her a passionate kiss
Humphrey: I smiled and accepted the kiss with pleasure, after several minutes we separated and said lovingly, "I love you"
Kate: "I love you too," I said lovingly, "although we had to wait for some water to be brought to you, it still has some of that bitter liquid," I said as I shook
Humphrey: I started laughing, but suddenly my side started to hurt, "Don't make me laugh, it hurts when I laugh" I said a little sore
Kate: "An ex-omega who can't laugh," I said mockingly
Humphrey: "yes, I understand the irony of the matter," I said as I rolled my eyes
