Humphrey: "Where is he?" I asked hurry
Toocs: "In the first valley, I put him in a special room so he could recover, but his injuries are very serious, I don't think that room will be enough to save him," I explained
Humphrey: "I understand, let's go" I said seriously
Luz: "The best thing is that you go too" I said to Kate in her mind
Kate: "Why? I don't think I'll be very useful in a case like this," I said
Luz: "I know, but in the first valley there is a temple, we can take advantage of it to try to find a solution for your situation" I explained
Kate: "I understand," I said, then I turned to Humphrey and Toocs, "I'll accompany you too"
Toocs: "Okay, but let's not waste time, I don't know how much longer my brother can resist" I said in a hurry
Kate: "We have to tell Garth and Lilly, so they can take care of the pack and our puppies, in case we take too long," I said
Humphrey: "You're right," I said, nodding while activating the maximum potential, "it won't take long to find one of them," I said before running away at maximum speed
Luz: As Humphrey returned, I asked Toocs, "How did someone make arrive to the first valley?"
Toocs: "I'm not sure, I haven't had time to find out, but I did feel residue of a very disturbing and dark energy," I explained
Luz: "How likely is it that that being is still in the first valley?" asked
Toocs: "very unlikely, that type of energy is not easy to hide, especially in a place like this, it is almost certain that he was not in the first valley for more than a few minutes and my brother was unlucky enough to run into that guy" I explained
Luz: "I understand, anyway, we don't have to let our guard down," I said seriously
Toocs: "I know that, but anyway I put up some defenses there, I wasn't going to leave my brother unprotected" I said
Soon Humphrey had returned
Humphrey: "I'm ready, let's go," I said
Toocs: I nodded and took the two to the first valley, but when I arrived, I fell to the ground due to exhaustion
Humphrey: "What happened to you? Are you okay?" I asked worried
Toocs: "It's nothing serious, it's just that I have used too much of my power today" I said while I was panting from exhaustion, "Don't worry about me, my brother is the one who needs you" I said seriously
Humphrey: "Where is he?" I asked
Toocs: "He's in the infirmary," I said
Humphrey: "Where is that?" I asked
Toocs: "It's the fifth door on the left side," I said
Humphrey: I nodded and Kate and I ran away
Kate: "You're faster than me, you better get ahead of me" I said
Humphrey: I nodded and said, "Okay, but be careful"
Kate: "I'll have it," I said, nodding
Humphrey: I determined to use my maximum potential and ran at my maximum speed, in a few seconds I had reached where Scoot was, I was surprised to see his large wound in his belly, I approached him and concentrated to try to heal him, but while I was healing him, an immense pain invaded me from my belly, "What kind of wound is this?" I asked myself as I fell to the ground
Meanwhile with Kate
Kate: "Where is that temple?" I asked Luz as I inspected the different rooms
Luz: "Give me a moment to feel it" I said while I was concentrating, after a few minutes I said, "It's at the end of this hallway"
Kate: "You mean this hallway that seems infinite," I said worriedly
Luz: "It's not infinite, just very long, but I feel the temple in that direction," I said
Kate: "I guess I'll have to run," I said with a sigh
Luz: "It is better that you use your maximum potential, to do it as quickly as possible and that others do not suspect" I said
Kate: "You're right," I said, nodding and activated my maximum potential to run at maximum speed. "I hope this solves my problem," I thought hopefully
Back to Humphrey
Humphrey: I was recovering from that terrible pain, "This is not a normal wound and I don't think I can heal it completely, but I must try to heal it enough so that Scoot is no longer in danger" I said to myself as I tried again, "Who gave him this wound?" I thought, worried
After several minutes with Kate
Kate: "How much longer to go?" I asked as I ran
Luz: "Not much more, I feel like we are close" I said
Kate: "I hope so, I have run several kilometers" I said
Luz: "I know, I didn't expect this place to be so big" I said, at that moment I felt something, "Stop" I said
Kate: I braked as best I could, but due to the speed, it took me several meters to stop, "Don't make me stop suddenly like that" I said seriously
Luz: "I'm sorry, but we're already there, it's the entrance on the right" I said
Kate: I nodded and looked out of that entrance and was surprised to see that it was a totally white room with an oblate rock in the center, "You feel an aura very similar to the other temples" I said
Luz: "It's not surprising, the temples are actually the same place, they all connect in this space," I explained
Kate: "What do you mean?" I asked confused
Luz: "From here, you can go to any of the other temples, they are a large and unique structure, it just has entrances scattered all over the world" I tried to explain
Kate: "I see," I said, surprised, "What should I do?" I asked
Luz: "Here is a lake similar to the one they used to strengthen their claws," I explained
Kate: I was surprised when he said that, "You don't want me to dunk in that lake, Humphrey could barely stand it" I said seriously
Luz: "Don't worry, as I told you, it is a similar lake, but not the same, it is much less powerful than that lake, but I hope it is strong enough to break that magic that affects you," I explained
Kate: "I see," I said thoughtfully
Luz: "This is just your decision; I will not force you to do anything" I said
Kate: "Humphrey faced worse things for me, I know I have to overcome this for him" I said seriously, "Even though he cheated on me" I growled annoyed
Luz: "He has never cheated on you" I said
Kate: I shook my head and said, "Sorry, it's getting harder and harder to control those thoughts"
Luz: "It's better that we hurry up, before you get lost in doubt and resentment," I said worriedly
Kate: "You're right," I said, nodding before running off in search of that lake
Several minutes later with Humphrey
Humphrey: I was panting heavily as I wiped some blood from my nose, "This is harder than I expected" I said to myself
Toocs: I managed to get to my brother and I could see Humphrey Panting heavily, "What happened?" I asked him worriedly as I struggled to get closer
Humphrey: "The wound you have is not common at all," I explained
Toocs: "What do you mean? Is it that serious?" asked
Humphrey: "Yes, it's serious, but it's nothing that I haven't cured before, the thing is that it's repelling me," I tried to explain
Toocs: "Repelling?" I asked confused
Humphrey: "I'm taking more damage from trying to absorb that wound than from the wound itself, it's like what's causing it is a force that my body completely rejects," I explained
Toocs: "I see, that's very bad," I said worriedly
Humphrey: "I'm doing everything I can to reduce the damage, so it's not deadly anymore, but I'm not sure I can do anything else after that," I explained
Toocs: "It will depend on him to have the strength to stay alive and save himself," I said with a sigh as I understood the situation
Humphrey: "That's right, I'm sorry I can't do more, but I've never seen someone inflict a wound that repels me," I said sadly
Toocs: "Don't worry, I know you do what you can and just giving him a chance to live is a victory" I said comfortingly
Humphrey: I nodded and asked, "Have you seen Kate by the way?"
Toocs: "I didn't see her on the way here, maybe she got the wrong room" I said
Humphrey: "I don't think so, her senses are very good, she should have followed my trail easily" I said thoughtfully
Toocs: "I would go look for her, but I have no strength left, I used everything I had to stabilize my brother and go for you" I said with some frustration for being so weak
Humphrey: "It's okay, she can take care of herself and surely Luz is with her, since I've been here, I haven't heard it" I said
Toocs: I nodded and asked him, "So how can I help you, I know I can't do much, but I will do my best"
Humphrey: I looked at him and realized that he was in very bad condition, he looked very worn out, "You have used your powers too much, you should rest" I said
Toocs: "I understand," I said sadly as I lay down, I wanted to help, but he was right, I am very worn out from using my power so much, I knew I could die if I continued like this, but I would never forgive myself if I let my brother die, after everything I did to him
Humphrey: I nodded and focused on Scoot again
Meanwhile with Kate
Kate: I had been running for a while passing between several rooms, "This looks like a maze," I said
Luz: "This was done on purpose to protect oneself from unwanted intruders," I explained
Kate: "So this sees me as an intruder?" I asked
Luz: "Yes and no," I explained
Kate: "Make up your mind," I said seriously
Luz: "Without a doubt you are someone worthy of entering the temples and receiving what they hide, but the doubt and hatred that is growing within you because of that spell confuses the labyrinth, that is why sometimes it leads you on the right path and other times it leads you astray" I explained
Kate: "Then we're wasting our time," I said annoyed as I stopped
Luz: "Don't worry, we are getting closer to our destination, although not as fast as I expected," I explained
Kate: "How much longer will it take us? I won't last at full potential much longer" I asked worriedly
Luz: "I'm not sure, but I will use my energy to mask yours, so we can move forward without so many problems," I said
Kate: "Why didn't you do it sooner?" I asked annoyed
Luz: "It's not an easy thing to do and I didn't expect the situation to reach this level," I explained
Kate: "Ok," I said, still a little upset
Luz: "I hope we arrive on time, that magic began to act rapidly the moment we entered this dimension" I thought with concern, since I did not expect this to happen
Several minutes later with Humphrey
Humphrey: I fell to the ground quite exhausted, "I can't take it anymore" I said while panting heavily
Toocs: I quickly approached him and tried to help him, "How is my brother?" I asked worried
Humphrey: "I think he'll make it, but now it's up to him" I said between gasps
Toocs: I helped Humphrey get settled before approaching my brother to examine him, without a doubt he was still quite delicate, but Humphrey was right, his life is not so much at risk, now he must rest and heal naturally, "I appreciate that," I said gratefully
Humphrey: "It's nothing, I couldn't let him die, he's my friend and he's helped me a lot" I said with a weak smile
Toocs: "It is better that you rest, you are not in a position to return and I do not have the energy to return them either" I said
Humphrey: "If you're right," I said, nodding, "Do you know where Kate could have gone?" I asked
Toocs: I shook my head and said, "I'm sorry, but this place is huge and I don't know it as well as my brother, it could be anywhere"
Humphrey: "I see, I hope she doesn't get into trouble, she's been acting a little strange lately" I said with concern
Toocs: "Strange how?" I asked
Humphrey: "She's much more irritable and I feel like she's trying to avoid me," I said sadly
Toocs: "I see, it's possible that something worried her" I said
Humphrey: "If that was the case, why didn't she tell me anything?" asked
Toocs: "I'm not sure, but I imagine she didn't want to worry you," I said
Humphrey: "But she knows she can count on me for anything," I said
Toocs: "I know, but you've already had the bad habit of carrying everything on your own and I probably wanted to prevent you from putting more pressure on yourself" I said
Humphrey: "You're right, I earned that," I said sadly
Toocs: "You have to change those bad habits, you will only make others suffer instead of helping them, since they will want to carry their problems alone, so as not to put more pressure on you" I said
Humphrey: "I understand," I said with a sigh
