Guest: Well, I am thinking of taking Aphrodite out of the harem since Jakob will still have the same reasons for not respecting her as he did in the original. Out of all the Olympians, Aphrodite, Hera and Artemis are the Goddesses he has the LEAST respect for.

ivebrokenthings2: Yeah, I'm starting to think that as well.

marco794: Freya isn't Thor's mother. Have you played God of War? Freya is one of the Vanir Gods, who married Odin to ensure peace between the Aesir and Vanir, and at first it was a loving marriage but Odin's true face showed itself in the end. Freya is Baldur's mother, but she's also the Goddess of Love as depicted in the myths. You're confusing Freya for Frigga from Marvel perhaps.

BeserkerJ12: Thanks, was a little nervous nobody would like the rewrite.

Disclaimer: I do not own God of War or Percy Jackson and the Olympians. I only own the OC Jakob Thorsson.

Annabeth showed Jakob much of the camp like the strawberry fields, volleyball court, the nearby lake, the forest that was stocked with creatures, the lunch area, and finally they showed him the cabins.

"Alright Jakob, these are the camp cabins where all campers stay while here. There are twelve cabins, one for each Olympian. Though Hera's is there to honour her." Annabeth explained to the son of Thor.

"And let me guess, same with Zeus and Poseidon." Jakob said, getting a nod from Annabeth. "Suppose it'll do me well to know whose cabin is who's."

"Well, the first cabin is Zeus." Annabeth said, pointing at a cabin that can only be described as a marble building looking like a mausoleum, with heavy columns. The big bronze double doors are polished in such a way to provide a 'holographic' effect of lightning bolts passing across. It also thunders all the time. It is described as looking like a bank.

"Well... that's quite a design for a cabin." Mimir said, Jakob holding the head up so he can get a look as well.

Jakob looked at the second cabin, Hera's, which looked like a marble, formal-looking building, graceful with slim columns garlanded with pomegranates and flowers. It is done similarly to her husband, Zeus' cabin except smaller. However, Hera's cabin is more graceful, having slimmer columns with pomegranates and flowers around them. The walls also have images of peacocks carved on them, as well as the doors.

"Guess nobody's allowed in there." Jakob stated.

"Unless they want to be turned into an animal or faced with Hera's wrath, no." Annabeth said. "Her wrath is quite... legendary."

"As that saying goes; hell hath no fury like a woman scorned." Mimir said. "But I'd wager it's nothing compared to the wrath of Odin and Thor."

"There's Poseidon's cabin, another one that remains empty and is only there to honour the God of the Sea." Annabeth said with a slight scowl at the mention of Poseidon, giving he was her mother's rival.

The Poseidon cabin is a long, low building with windows facing the ocean. The cabin is made from rough sea stone, pieces of coral and seashell embedded into the outside walls, and a trident with a big bronze number 3 over the door.

"I see." Jakob said and they moved on.

"Next, we have Demeter's cabin." Annabeth said, pointing to the cabin that s covered in flowers and tomato plants grow on the walls and doorway. Wildflowers and roses grow on the porch. It has a real grass roof. The cabin is colored a light shade of brown.

"Not bad." Jakob complimented. "Freyr might like her."

"The Vanir God?" Annabeth asked.

"Aye, Freyr's venerated for good harvest and peace." Mimir explained.

"Next, we have... Ares' cabin." Annabeth said with a sigh as she gestured to a cabin that is badly painted red and has a large boar's head over the door with barbed wire on the roof. There have been mentions of the cabin being lined with land mines. Rock music is constantly blaring from it.

"Ares... the God of War." Jakob said as he stared at the cabin.

Mimir chuckled. "Oh, I bet Týr and him wouldn't get along well if they met."

"How so?" Annabeth asked as they moved on

"Týr is the God of War in the Norse pantheon, but one who fights for peace. He has a reputation for being heroic and lawful, using his knowledge and power to stop wars, rather than start them." Mimir said with a tone of awe and respect. "Everyone really oved him, well almost everyone."

"Let me guess, Odin?" Annabeth asked.

"Aye. And it's tragic because Týr is Odin's son." Mimir sighed.

"So... he's your uncle." Annabeth said, looking at Jakob who just nodded in response.

The next cabin they spotted is a gray building with plain white curtains and a design of an owl over the door.

"That's Athena's Cabin. where I stay." Annabeth said, hands on her hips and chest puffed with pride.

"Keep control of your pride." Jakob warned, causing Annabeth to look at him with a confused frown. "Hubris can be a deadly enemy, especially when used against you."

The next cabin was made of solid gold and made to glow during the daytime - it's hard to tell if the gold is reflecting light or generating it.

"That's Apollo's cabin." Annabeth said, pointing at it. Then she pointed at the next cabin that is all-silver building with silver curtains, similar to the outfit of the Hunters. It is decorated with paintings and carvings of wild animals, but mostly the stag. "And that is Artemis' cabin, Apollo's sister."

"I know who they are." Jakob said, resisting the urge to roll his eyes.

They moved on to the next cabin, which looks like a small factory, with brick walls and smokestacks like the forges and lots of gears around the entrance.

"That's the Hephaestus cabin." Annabeth said.

Jakob nodded and turned to look at the next one, only to blink several times. "Okay... what in the Nine Realms is that kind of cabin?" He asked, pointing to the wooden cabin with a painted blue roof, pillars, checkerboard deck with steps and gray walls. It also has a pink door and potted carnations by the window. It also smells heavily of designer perfume.

"Ah, that... is the Aphrodite's cabin." Annabeth said with a snort of amusement at Jakob's reaction. "A word of advice; avoid them as best as you can while you're here. the daughters of Aphrodite have a habit of playing and manipulating the hearts of boys, especially one named Drew, and they may end up doing the same to you."

"They can try." Jakob said with a small scoff.

"Moving on..." Annabeth gestured to the next cabin which has peeling brown paint and a caduceus over the door. It is probably in such bad shape because it was so over-populated. "That's the Hermes cabin, where you'll be staying despite knowing your heritage but we don't exactly have a cabin for Thor."

"If I have to, I'll build myself a cabin." Jakob said, eyeing the Hermes cabin with a look as he saw it didn't look quite good. "Is there a reason for it's current state?"

"It's quite... overpopulated." Annabeth said with a wince, knowing there was tons of unclaimed demigods in the Hermes cabin.

"Let me guess, most of the kids there are unclaimed by the Olympians because they forgot or don't care." Jakob said with a roll of his eyes. "I bet some are the kids of minor gods, but it's not like they have cabins of their own."

"Well... yeah, you'd be right." Annabeth said as she rubbed her arm. "Some of the kids in there have been for years and never been claimed."

"Only because their parent wants them to do something worthy enough to get their attention." Jakob scoffed. "Do any of the Olympians claim their kids upon entering camp?"

"Apollo, Demeter, Hermes, Aphrodite and Athena." Annabeth listed off, then gestured to the next cabin which has its roof and walls lined with grapevines. "And finally, we have the Dionysus cabin."

"And finally, we have the Dionysus cabin." Annabeth said, pointing to the cabin that has its roof and walls lined with grapevines.

"But with no Hades or Hestia cabin." Jakob said with a frown. That was twelve cabins they just looked at, one for each of the Olympians and there was none for Hades or Hestia, not even honorary ones since they were the eldest son and daughter of Kronos and Rhea?

"Well... Hades isn't exactly welcome on Olympus, and Hestia... most tend to forget her." Annabeth said with sadness that Hestia was just forgotten like that.

Jakob frowned before he looked to the fire pit in the centre of the field. What had caught his eye in the first place was the girl, about nine years old, tending the flames, poking the coals with a stick.

As if sensing she's being watched, the girl looked right at him and his electric blue eyes locked with flames- her eyes were literally filled with flames. But these flames weren't violent; they seemed cosy, like a small, warm campfire.

Also, her face was shockingly beautiful for a nine-year-old girl, which creeped Jakob out for a second because he didn't want the FBI tackling him. Jakob knew right away that this had to be Hestia, the Goddess of the Hearth.

Hestia seemed shocked, like she wasn't used to people seeing her. Then she smiled and waved at him. Jakob just gave a small smile and waved back.

"Guess you saw Hestia." Annabeth said, causing Jakob to look at her. When he looked back, Hestia was gone.

"Yeah..." He said. He shook his head before looking at his guides. "So, you've shown me most of the camp, but what about the training area? I want to see how you lot train."

Annabeth nodded before she brought him over to the archery range, where they obviously do archery though nobody was as good as Apollo's kids or the Hunters.

She showed him a sword fighting area and the climbing wall with lava. They told him that the climbing wall, or lava wall, is said to pour lava out for an "extra challenge". If the camper does not get to the top quickly the walls clash together and the camper's clothes are soaked with lava (actually torn to only threads).

The sword training arena is where campers go to duel and practice with different weapons of their choice. It is between the cabins and the Armory. There are straw dummies in Greek armor scattered around the room and training swords.

Jakob frowned as he watched several campers in the training area, hacking away at the straw dummies. There was no strategy, no sense of discipline in their attacks, nothing that shows proper training and development of a warrior. They were just hacking and slashing like it's a video game and the bad guy won't get up. But in a real fight, the enemy will hit back and kill them.

And compared to what kind of training he was put through, seeing this display was just an insult to the word 'training'.

'They're training to be heroes and fight monsters yet this is barely different from a human summer camp…they'd be nothing but fresh meat for a few Wulvers.' Thought Jakob, unimpressed with the training he was seeing being done.

"Do you lot take this world, this life seriously?" Jakob asked coldly as he stared.

"Of course, we do! What-" Annabeth started but Jakob just pointed at the training arena, to which Annabeth and Thalia looked and watched the campers attacking the dummies. "What's the problem?"

"They are just hacking at the dummies, there's no plan of attack. No strategy, no discipline. They seem to think that because the dummies aren't hitting back, the enemies will do the same." Jakob said. "They don't understand the dangers of being a demigod, or the world we live in. I bet most of them haven't been out and faced a monster in a life-or-death situation."

Annabeth was silent as she thought about his words. But thinking about where he was from, what the Norse pantheon was all about, she could see where he was coming from. He had been trained and raised as a warrior, to take that kind of life seriously, and seeing something that disrespects that doesn't sit too well with him.

'I wonder how Thor trained him.' Annabeth thought as she took glances at Jakob, wondering what kind of training Thor put his son through to make him the way he is.

"So, Annabeth, anywhere else to go?" Mimir asked curiously, breaking the daughter of Athena from her thoughts.

"Just the Pegasus stables." Annabeth said and then paused as something occurred to her. "Speaking of, do the Valkyries actually ride Pegasi themselves? Or do you just call them winged horses?"

"The Valkyrie don't have winged horses, that's another misinterpretation. They only ride regular horses through the sky over battlefields, collecting the souls of the dead. However, the strongest Valkyries do possess their own wings to fly around with." Mimir replied, making the daughter of Athena nod.

"How exactly are Valkyries chosen? Are they handpicked by someone or can anyone become a Valkyrie?" Annabeth asked.

"Anyone can train to become a Valkyrie. First they have to train to be the best they can be, then hope they get Odin's attention and earn the chance to join the Valkyries' ranks." Mimir explained. "In fact, Jakob's sister, Thrúd-"

"Enough." Jakob cut in before Mimir could go any further. "Speak no more of this."

"Oh come on, Jakob! Will it kill you to try and trust others?" Mimir asked, frustrated that Jakob is continuing to be cold and distant with everyone when they are trying to be nice and trusting themselves.

"No, it's okay, I understand where he's coming from." Annabeth said, seeing that Jakob didn't trust people he didn't know. Plus he was among Greek demigods, children of the Olympians, in the territory of another pantheon. She knew, from experience, that he must've been hiding from his family for a while and lived on the streets.

You don't survive on the streets by being trusting and kind, you have to trust only yourself and care about no one but yourself.

Although she had Thalia, Luke and Grover when she was on the streets, she was young at the time. At an age where she'd prefer to have company rather than be alone, with a relief being that Thalia and Luke were just like her and told her that demigods stick together.

"I just hope you'll learn to trust us and open up." Annabeth said, knowing that Jakob was closed off for a reason. The son of Thor looked at her, a little surprised at her words, at her guess. He just grunted in response.

A few minutes later, they arrived at the stables which had a Pegasus in each one. There was only one person here, and it was a girl.

Jakob's breath caught in his throat at the sight of her and he couldn't help but stare.

She seemed roughly fourteen. She had silky black hair that he'd only seen in top notch salons. Her hair stopped at her lower back. She had pink eyeliner and a bit of pink lipstick on her lips, which made her even more prettier. Jakob actually blushed at the thought. He never really thought that make-up made girls pretty, but it seemed to work on her. She also wore an orange CAMP HALF-BLOOD T-shirt and blue jeans.

She seemed to be the most gorgeous girl Jakob ever met. Annabeth seemed cute, but she was beautiful.

"Silena!" Annabeth called, getting the girl's attention and she smiled, which made Jakob blush again before he fought to get himself under control. He wasn't some shy boy who blushes at the sight of every pretty girl.

"Hey Annie." Silena said, grinning as Annabeth pouted.

"Don't call me that." She huffed, causing the girl to laugh before they shared a hug and then Silena noticed Jakob, her blue eyes glinting with recognition. "Hey, you're the boy Annabth and I found on the shore of the lake!"

"So you're the other one who pulled me out." Jakob stated more than asked, crossing his arms.

"Yes." Silena nodded.

Jaob grunted then said. "I... thank you."

Silena raised a brow at his response before looking at Annabeth. "He's not too trusting of others." The daughter of Athena explained.

"Ah, well hopefully your time here changes that." Silena said with a knowing smile. "We look out for each other here, seeing as we're all related in some way. I'm Silena. Silena Beareguard, daughter of Aphrodite."

Jakob eyed her outstretched hand and then, two seconds later, grasped it and shook it. "Jakob Thorsson. Son of Thor."

Silena's eyes widened at that and she looked at Annabeth, who nodded to confirm that Jakob is who he says he is. She then noticed her and Jakob were still shaking hands and Jakob soon noticed as well, the two quickly pulling their hands back.

"So there are other Gods out there?" Silena asked with shock and surprise.

"Of course!" Mimir said, causing Silena to blink in confusion and Jakob sighed before he held up Mimir's head, to which Silena's eyes widened again. "Now please don't scream. I'm a reanimated head."

"O-Okay." Silena said taking a step back in shock before she managed to compose herself while Annabeth looked at her sympathetically, having had a similar reaction when she saw Mimir the first time. "Who are you?"

"Me? I'm the greatest ambassador to the Gods, the Giants, and all the creatures of the Nine Realms. I know every corner of these lands, every language spoken, every war waged, every deal ever struck. They call me… Mimir! -smartest man alive, and I have the answer to your every question."

"...So other Gods exist?" Silena asked after getting over her shock to get back to asking her question again.

"Yes. Do none of you really suspect, even a little bit, that other pantheons existed?" Mimir asked, wondering how they could accept the existence of the Greek Pantheon, but doubt that other Pantheons could exist.

"I…just didn't think about it." Admitted Annabeth, realizing she should have at least suspected the possibility.

"I…thought that it may be possible when I first learned the truth. Given that if the Greek Gods were really, then what else could be real too." Silena said, having considered the possibility, but brushed it off since no one else seemed to consider the chance other Pantheons existing.

"Keep that mindset, it's better to believe that there's at least a possibility that's the case and be prepared if you encounter something that wants you dead." Said Jakob, knowing it'd be more dangerous for them to doubt something exists, only to end up coming face-to-face with it.

With the girls nodding at his words, realizing that anything really is possible in the world they live in

"So... you're from the Norse Pantheon and your dad is Thor." Silena stated, and Jakob gave a small nod in response. "So... is he really like Chris Hemsworth?"

"Not even close." Jakob said with a roll of his eyes.

"A word of advice, Silena." Annabeth piped in. "Don't compare him to the Marvel Thor."

"Right." Silena nodded before she smiled at Jakob. "Anyway, it was nice to meet you, Jakob. I better get back to work since one of the Pegasus are acting up."

"Okay. See you around." Jakob said as he turned to leave.

"Oh, you will." Silena smiled before turning and going back into the stables.

"She seemed nice." Jakob remarked.

"Oh? Has the pretty daughter of Aphrodite pierced through the cold walls of the son of Thor and into his heart?" Mimir asked jokingly, causing Annabeth to giggle while Jakob rolled his eyes.

"Don't even start, Mimir." He said.

"I'm just saying! You seem to have relaxed a little after speaking with her. Baby steps, I take it?" Mimir asked with a smirk.

"I hate you." Jakob sighed.

"Come on." Annabeth said, still giggling. "I've got to get yours and Andromeda's bunk ready in the Hermes cabin."

"I'm still debating on building my own." Jakob muttered, not liking the idea of being in a cabin with a huge bunch of people he didn't know, especially when some of them are children of the God of Thieves.

The two made their way to the cabins. Along the way, Annabeth grabbed a book and started reading it while on approach to the Hermes cabin. Jakob just raised an eyebrow at her but said nothing, shaking his head.

However, they weren't waiting long before they heard footsteps approaching and looked to see Chiron arrive with Andromeda.

"Annabeth," Chiron said, "I have masters' archery class at noon. Would you take Andromeda from here?"

"Yes, sir." Annabeth nodded.

"Cabin eleven," Chiron told Andromeda, gesturing toward the doorway. "Make yourself at home."

He galloped away towards the archery range.

"Well?" Annabeth prompted. "Go on." She urged both Jakob and Andromeda.

Jakob gave her a look that she ignored before he glanced at Andromeda, who looked a little nervous and he urged her forward gently. The gentle movement of his hand on her back startled her as she looked up at him but he took a step forward with her, as a way of silently offering support.

Turning to the staring faces, Jakob narrowed his eyes. "Stop staring." He demanded in an annoyed tone, the coldness of which caused some to flinch.

Annabeth announced, "Andromeda Jackson, Jakob Thorsson, meet Cabin Eleven."

"Regular or undetermined?" Somebody asked.

"Excuse me?" Jakob raised a brow at that.

Annabeth pointed to Jakob first. "Determined." Then she pointed to Andromeda. "Undetermined."

"Why's he still here then?" Somebody else asked.

"He's the son of Thor." Annabeth said, causing whispers to break out, no doubt shocked that the Norse Gods actually existed. "And since there's no cabin for Thor of course, he'll be staying here for now."

This caused everybody to groan.

A blonde hair guy came up and spoke to the campers. "Now, now, campers. That's what we're here for. Welcome, Andromeda and Jakob. You both can have that spot on the floor, right over there." He pointed to the corner.

Jakob analysed the guy like a warrior judging another. He looked to be in his late teens, tall and muscular but lean. He had short-cropped hair and a nice smile. He wore an orange tank top, cutoffs, sandals, and a leather necklace with five different-coloured clay beads. He also had a scar, thick and white that ran from just beneath his right eye to his jaw. Jakob could tell right away he was a fighter, it was the way he held himself.

But he couldn't shake a feeling of unease around the guy, a feeling that made him almost reach for the Leviathan Axe but settled for just a twitch of a finger.

"This is Luke," Annabeth said, though her voice sounded different somehow. Jakob looked at the girl and saw her blushing lightly, which he couldn't help but chuckle at quietly since he never figured her as the type to blush like a girl with a crush. the daughter of Athena heard his snicker and scowled. "He's your counsellor for now."

"For now?" Andromeda asked, confused.

"You're undetermined," Luke explained patiently. "They don't know what cabin to put you in, so you're here. Cabin eleven takes all newcomers, all visitors no matter the heritage, so you're welcome here, Jakob. Naturally, we would. Hermes, our patron, is the god of travelers."

"And thieves." Jakob stated, causing some of the more mischief looking kids to snicker. So Jakob placed a hand on his axe and caressed the flat side of the blade. "Try stealing from me... and it will not end well."

"Alright, alright, easy." Luke chuckled as some of his siblings looked ready to take that challenge while others actually looked worried Jakob would follow through with his threat.

"How long will we be here?" Andromeda asked.

"Good question," Luke said. "Until you're determined."

"How long will that take?"

The campers all laughed.

"Come on," Annabeth told both the new campers. "I'll show you the volleyball court."

"I've already seen it." Andromeda argued.

Annabeth grabbed them by their sleeves and dragged them out, Jakob allowing her to do so before he shrugged her off. When they were a few feet away, Annabeth said, "Jackson, Thorsson, you have to do better than that."

Jakob narrowed his eyes at that. "I am no performing monkey to act on stage just to satisfy your expectations, girl."

"What the hell is your problem?" Andromeda asked the blinded with a frown, not sure why Annabeth was treating them this way. "I just want straight answers! ll I know is, I kill some bull guy-"

"Don't talk like that!" Annabeth told her with narrowed eyes. "You know how many kids at this camp wish they'd have your chance?"

"To get killed?" Andromeda asked scathingly.

"To fight the Minotaur! What do you think we train for?" Annabeth retorted.

"From what I've seen of your 'training' pattern, you'd only nick the Minotaur like a bee sting." Jakob said with a scoff. Although, he was a little curious in how Andromeda defeated the Minotaur... namely interested in the fact she did so without training if what was being said was true.

But to him, the Minotaur was child's play given all the type of monsters he's faced, most of which would be more challenging than the Minotaur.

"What's your story?" Jakob asked, looking at Andromeda.

"All I know is, I was enjoying spending time at the beach with my mother, then I find out my friend's half... goat-"

"Satyr." Mimir corrected.

"What?" Andromeda blinked and Jakob held Mimir's head up. "Oh God! That head... it talks?!"

"He's reanimated." Jakob explained shortly, as if that explained everything.

"R-Reanimated? Like a zombie?" Andromeda asked in disbelief.

"No, it's not quite like that, though I can see the confusion given what zombies are." Mimir chuckled in amusement. "I was alive, then Jakob here decapitated me because I was bound to a tree that no weapon could free me from. Fortunately, we had a friend who reanimated my head through use of the Old Magic. Anyway, sorry, continue your story."

"...Right." Andromeda shook her head, getting back on track. "Then we're driving to... here, I guess. And then the Mino- the bull guy shows up and... and... my mother..." She choked up as she couldn't finish the sentence but Jakob knew instantly what she was saying.

"I'm sorry." Jakob said quietly, knowing the pain of losing a mother all too well. "And that's when you fought and killed the Minotaur?"

Andromeda nodded. "Yeah."

"Impressive, for someone who hasn't been trained." Mimir said with amazement in his tone.

"But the Minotaur will eventually re-form." Annabeth cut in, causing Andromeda to look confused. "Monsters don't die. They can be killed. But they don't die. They don't have souls, like you and me. You can dispel them for a while, maybe even for a whole lifetime if you're lucky. But they are primal forces. Chiron calls them archetypes. Eventually, they re-form."

"That's just..." Mimir didn't know what to say to that. Even Jakob couldn't figure out if that was a bonus since it would mean a returning challenge to constantly fight to improve from the last encounter, or if it's just less of a challenge and more of an annoyance in facing something already beaten and defeated.

The monsters in his lands did not do such a thing, there was plenty to kill with plenty to spare.

"You mean if I killed one, accidentally, with a sword-" Andromeda said.

"The Fur… I mean, your maths teacher. That's right. She's still out there. You just made her very, very mad." Annabeth said.

"How did you know about Mrs. Dodds?" Andromeda asked.

"You talk in your sleep."

"You almost called her something. A Fury? They're Hades' torturers, right?" Andromeda asked, recalling Annabeth saying that word and who the Furies were in Greek Mythology.

Annabeth glanced nervously at the ground, as if she expected it to open up and swallow her. "You shouldn't call them by name, even here. We call them the Kindly Ones, if we have to speak of them at all."

"Doesn't affect us." Mimir said. "We say the names of the Aesir and Vanir Gods casually and nothing happens, so I don't see the problem with saying the names of the Greek Gods or the monsters."

"Rules can be annoying." Jakob said with a little scowl of annoyance, seeing how different things were between the Norse and Greek pantheons.

"Look, is there anything we can say without it thundering?" Andromeda asked in a bit of a whiny tone. "Why do we have to stay at cabin eleven, anyway? Why is everybody so crowded together? There are plenty of empty bunks right over there."

He pointed to the first few cabins, and Annabeth turned pale.

"Even we know why that is." Mimir said.

"Leave her alone, she doesn't understand everything in this place." Jakob said in defence of Andromeda before he looked at the girl. "I'mm put it to you as simply as I can; Andromeda Jackson, you're a demigod."

Andromeda stared at him, mouth agape at his words while Jakob just looked dead serious, no signs of humor or joking on his face or in his eyes. She looked at Annabeth who nodded in agreement to confirm his words.

"You didn't even know what you are, do you?" Mimir asked softly. "judging from the mention of your mother, I'd wager she's the mortal, which means your father is an Olympian God."

"My father's dead." Andromeda said with a frown. "I never knew him."

"I'm not surprised." Jakob muttered, knowing that the Olympians don't involve themselves in the lives of their children until they probably do something to catch their attention and prove their worth.

"Look, Andromeda, the point is you wouldn't be here if you weren't one of us." Annabeth said with a sigh.

"You don't know anything about me." Andromeda said with a frown.

"No?" She raised an eyebrow. "I bet you moved around from school to school. I bet you were kicked out of a lot of them."

"How—"

"Diagnosed with dyslexia. Probably ADHD, too."

Andromeda blinked several times in shock before she asked. "What does that have to do with anything?"

"Taken together, it's almost a sure sign. The letters float off the page when you read, right? That's because your mind is hardwired for ancient Greek. And the ADHD—you're impulsive, can't sit still in the classroom. That's your battlefield reflexes. In a real fight, they'd keep you alive. As for the attention problems, that's because you see too much, Andromeda, not too little. Your senses are better than a regular mortal's. Of course the teachers want you medicated. Most of them are monsters. They don't want you seeing them for what they are."

"You sound like... you went through the same thing?" Andromeda said, s Annabeth sounded like she was speaking from experience, something Jakob also picked up on during Annabeth's speech.

Annabeth shrugged. "Most of the kids here did. If you weren't like us, you couldn't have survived the Minotaur, much less the ambrosia and nectar."

"Ambrosia and nectar." Andromeda repeated.

Annabeth nodded. "The food and drink we were giving you to make you better. That stuff would've killed a normal kid. It would've turned your blood to fire and your bones to sand and you'd be dead. Face it. You're a half-blood. As Jakob said, you're a demigod. The child of a god and a mortal."

As Andromeda looked to be reeling from the reveals and everything explained to her, a husky voice yelled, "Well! Well! Well! A couple of newbies!"

The three looked over. The big girl from the big, ugly cabin from before marched over to them. She had three other girls behind her, the same big, ugly looks as her, all wearing camo jackets.

"Clarisse," Annabeth sighed with annoyance. "Why don't you go polish your spear or something?"

"Sure Miss Princess," the big girl said. "So I can run you through with it on Friday night."

'Do they not understand their words can mean so many things?' Jakob thought, holding in a snort.

''Erre es korakas!" Annabeth said, which Jakob understood was Greek for 'Go to the crows!'. The only reason he knew Greek was thanks to Loki teaching him various languages, including ones outside of the Norse pantheon such as Egyptian, Japanese, Greek and Latin. "You don't stand a chance."

"We'll pulverize you," Clarisse said, but her eye twitched. Perhaps she wasn't sure she could follow through on the threat. She turned toward Andromeda and Jakob. "Who are the runts?"

"Andromeda Jackson, Jakob Thorsson, meet Clarisse, the daughter of Ares." Said Annabeth, with the ravenette frowning slightly while Jakob just raised a brow.

"Like…the War God?" Andromeda asked, making Clarisse's sneer intensify as she towered over her.

"You got a problem with that?" Clarisse said, while Andromeda leaned back.

"No, it explains the bad smell though. And the attitude, all bark, no bite." Said Andromeda, recovering her wits with Annabeth smirking at the comeback while Clarisse growled.

"Think you're funny, runt? Well we got an initiation ceremony for newbies like you." Clarisse said, reaching to grab Andromeda when jakob placed a hand on her shoulder and pushed her back a little while using some strength to make her stumble a few steps.

"Back off." Jakob warned.

"You wanna go?" Clarisse challenged as she sized him up, noticing he held himself like a warrior, as someone who had been in quite a few fights and knew how to fight, which was something she could respect and she couldn't help but internally get excited at the idea of fighting someone who knew how to fight. Someone who could quite possibly be a challenge.

"You do not want this fight." Jakob said in warning once more.

"Oh... I do." Clarisse said with a smirk before she went for a punch only for Jakob to catch her fist in his hand, squeezing hard enough to make the daughter of Ares grimace and grunt in pain, nearly falling to a knee.

"I warned you." Was all Jakob said before he reared his other arm back and clothesline the girl hard enough to send her rolling onto her back and over, rolling to her sisters' feet with a disorientated groan. Jakob had applied enough force to disorientate her, not kill her.

Everyone froze, including the three girls who were backing Clarisse up. Guess they couldn't believe that the supposed 'newbie' beat Clarisse. Huh, go figure.

Jakob took a step towards Clarisse' siblings and they backed off at the look they saw in the son of Thor's eyes. Jakob then placed his foot on Clarisse' chest and applied enough pressure to make her wince and groan, trying to shove his foot off her.

"That was your only warning. Don't push it." Jakob said before he stepped over her and walked away, leaving everyone dumbfounded and stunned at what just happened.

After taking a walk around camp, and also hearing about some bathroom incident involving Clarisse, Andromeda, and the toilets exploding or something along those lines, Jakob met up with his... cabin and joined them at the dinner hall. Satyrs joined the group from the meadows. Naiads emerged from the canoeing lake. A few other girls came out of the woods, literally. In all, there were maybe a hundred campers, a few dozen satyrs, and a dozen assorted wood nymphs and naiads.

At the pavilion, torches blazed around the marble columns. A central fire burned in the bronze brazier. Each cabin had its own table, covered in white cloth trimmed in purple. Four of the tables were empty, but cabin eleven's was way overcrowded. Jakob just pushed some people to the side to make space for himself and Andromeda.

Both saw Grover sitting at table twelve with Mr. D, a few satyrs, and a couple of plump blonde boys who looked just like Mr. D. Chiron stood to one side, the picnic table being too small for him.

Annabeth sat at table six with a bunch of serious-looking athletic kids, all with grey eyes and blonde hair.

Clarisse sat behind them at Ares' table. She'd apparently gotten over being humiliated, because she was laughing and belching right along with her siblings.

Finally, Chiron pounded his hoof against the marble floor of the pavilion, and everyone went silent. He raised a glass. "To the gods!"

Everybody raised their glasses. "To the gods!" Andromeda did so weakly while Jakob didn't bother.

Wood nymphs came forward with platters of food: grapes, apples, strawberries, cheese, bread, and barbecue. Jakob's stomach growled in glee, not being used to food like this in a long time. Both his and Andromeda's glasses were empty, but Luke said, "Speak to it. Whatever you want- non-alcoholic of course."

While Andromeda experimented with her Blue Cherry Coke, Jakob said, "Dr. Pepper!" Sure enough, the liquid filled his glass. He took a sip, sighing in content. The drink quickly became his favourite after an incident in a diner. Then some food was passed to the two.

Jakob was about to dig in, but Luke said, "Come on!" Confused, Jakob and Andromeda followed him to the bathtub fire and saw people throwing in a good portion of their food in it. A part of Jakob wondered if these people had lost their minds in throwing away their food, regardless if it wasn't all of it.

"Burnt offerings for the gods," Luke explained. "They like the smell."

"That's ridiculous." Jakob said bluntly. His kind sure as hell didn't do that.

Luke approached the fire, bowed his head, and tossed in a cluster of fat red grapes. "Hermes."

When it was Andromeda's turn, she threw her food in, and not much happened. When Jakob was next, he almost scowled. There was no way he'd offer to any of the Olympians or even pray to his father or grandfather. But there was one name that came to mind not long after.

"Hestia." He muttered and threw a piece of his barbecue after saying the name, which filled the air with a smell of chocolate and fresh-baked cookies, with hamburgers on the grill and wildflowers, and hundreds of other amazing things as well. What was even stranger was that the hearth burned more brightly, and there was a glow coming from it, as if pleased with his offering.

Knowing that Hestia was the Goddess of the Hearth, Jakob figured she heard his offering and was thankful for it.

"Nicely done, brother." Mimir said, getting a grunt from Jakob as he returned to his seat.

As he ate his food next to Andromeda, Jakob took the time to look around and he soon spotted table ten, which was completely pink. Sitting there were tons of boys and girls, all good-looking and beautiful. His attention, however, was on Silena, who was chatting with some of her siblings. She saw him, smiled and waved. Blushing slightly, he waved back. Her siblings saw this and burst into giggles and chatter.

Chiron pounded his hoof for attention. Mr. D got up with a huge sigh. "Yes, I suppose I'd better say hello to all you brats. Well, hello. Our activity director, Chiron, says that capture the flag is this Friday. Cabin five presently holds the laurels."

A bunch of ugly cheering rose from the Ares table.

"Personally," Mr. D muttered. "I couldn't care less, but congratulations. Also, I should tell you that you that we have two new campers today. Amanda Johnson and Jack Thompson."

Jakob shot the God of Wine a glare for mucking up his name. Loath his father he did, Jakob took pride in what he was.

Chiron muttered something. "Er, Andromeda Jackson and Jakob Thorsson the Son of Thor!" Dionysus declared, much to everyone's shock, before they all looked at the son of Thor with great interest.

"We're going to be hounded for days now, aren't we?" Mimir asked knowingly as Jakob took the held off his belt and placed him on the table, causing some sounds of disgust to be heard that Jakob ignored.

"Most likely." Jakob sighed.

Everybody cheered. They all headed down to the amphitheatre, where Apollo's cabin led a sing-along. They sang camp songs about the gods and ate s'mores and joked. Jakob had to admit... he was starting to enjoy this place bit by bit. He felt like he finally had a chance to relax, to not be ready for his father coming for another lesson in training.

He felt free...
