AlexBeowolf2: The story goes through the events of the books, the movies sucked badly.

chanteholland807: Maybe later. For now, the story is focused on Jakob, like how God of War 4 and had a single camera shot on Kratos, no cut aways or anything.

Guest02957: Thanks.

Asharzal: The Aesir will show up, but not for a while. Maybe during or after Titan's Curse. Depends on when the moment fits.

3bodyjaa: Thanks.

Disclaimer: I do not own God of War or Percy Jackson and the Olympians. I only own the OC Jakob Thorsson.

They spent two days on the Amtrak train, heading west through hills, over rivers, past amber waves of grain.

They weren't attacked once, but the group didn't relax. Who knew where an attack could come from?

Andromeda had to keep a low profile since her picture was tagged at the greyhound incident and were in the paper for it. She looked like she held a bat or something. Andromeda looked like she had a wild look on her face.

"Don't worry," Annabeth told her. "Mortal police could never find us." But she didn't sound so sure.

As time passed on the train, with the group trying to occupy themselves, Andromeda looked at where Jakob had placed Mimir next to him. "So Mimir, what do they call Odin the Lord of the Hanged?"

Her question gained Annabeth and Grover's attention and they leaned forward to listen, also curious as well.

"That refers to a modest example of Odin's thirst for knowledge—the time he spent nine days a dead man." Mimir said, shocking the others as Andromeda, Annabeth and Grover's eyes widened.

"What?" They asked.

"Aye. Hung himself by the neck from Yggdrasil's branches, put his spear through his own side, and bled down into the Well of Destiny. He roamed the realms of the dead and plundered the World Tree of its secrets… until, I think quite rightly, it got fed up with him and sent him back to the land of the living." Mimir said before he saw the disturbed and horrified looks on the trio's faces. "Did I not mention he was barking mad?"

"W-Wow... Odin goes really far to get what he wants." Andromeda said, Annabeth and Grover nodding in agreement.

"But why?" Grover asked with a frown. "Why go to such lengths?"

"Trying to understand Odin's motives is a hard thing as he's a clever, manipulative bastard." Jakob said with a sigh. "It's always been about either destroying the Giants, taking control of Jötunheim, or doing everything he can to stave off Ragnarök."

"Aye, even if he can't prevent Ragnarök, he still hopes to learn enough details to influence the outcome. Remind me later to tell you later about the wolves…" Mimir said.

The rest of the day Andromeda spent alternately pacing the length of the train looking out the window. Jakob joined her in this also.

Andromeda spotted a family of centaurs travelling, one kid the size of a second grader. He was on a pony, and waved in response to Andromeda's wave. The other people didn't even notice them as they looked at their laptops or phones.

Another time, both of them saw a lion, to which Jakob briefly wondered if it was the legendary Nemean Lion. The lion with impenetrable skin and had to be choked out by Hercules.

Their reward money for returning Gladiola the poodle had only been enough to purchase tickets as far as Denver. They couldn't get berths in the sleeper car, so they dozed in their seats. Andromeda's neck got stiff as she tried not to drool in her sleep, since Annabeth was right next to her.

Grover's snoring and bleating kept them up. Once, the goat shuffled around and his fake foot fell off. Jakob and Annabeth had to stick it back on before any passengers took notice.

"So," Annabeth asked Andromeda, once they'd gotten Grover's sneaker readjusted. "Who wants your help?"

"What do you mean?" Andromeda asked quickly.

"When you were asleep just now, you mumbled, 'I won't help you.' Who were you dreaming about?" Jakob asked this time, staring at Andromeda.

The Daughter of Poseidon was reluctant to say anything. It was the second time she had dreamed about the evil voice from the pit. But it bothered her so much she told them.

Annabeth was quiet for a long time. "That doesn't sound like Hades. He always appears on a black throne, and he never laughs."

"Well, I'm sure he laughs in his own free time." Mimir said in defence of the God of the Underworld. "Being ruler of the Realm of the Dead isn't a job of humours, you know."

"But he offered my mother in trade." Andromeda reminded, shaking her head. "Why would he do that?"

"I guess… if he meant, 'Help me rise from the Underworld.' If he wants war with the Olympians. But why ask you to bring the bolt if he already has it?" Annabeth asked with a frown, trying to understand Hades' motives.

"I still don't believe it's him." Jakob said with a shake of his head. "We have no proof that Hades has the Master Bolt, we're only suspecting him simply because he's made out to be the bad guy. There are other dark forces that would like to see the Olympians destroy each other."

"Jakob, he offered Andromeda's mother in trade... who else but Hades can go against death?" Annabeth pointed out.

"There is more than one deity of death." Jakob countered and reminded her at the same time. "We don't have all the pieces of the puzzle yet, so we cannot connect the dots."

Eventually Annabeth conceded to that point.

Grover probably sensed their emotions. He snorted in his sleep, muttered something about vegetables, and turned over in his sleep.

Annabeth readjusted his cap so it covered his horns. "Look, you can't barter with Hades. You know that, right? He's deceitful, heartless, and greedy. I don't care if the Kindly Ones weren't as aggressive this time-"

"This time?" Andromeda frowned. "You mean you've run into them before?"

Annabeth's hand crept to her necklace. She fingered a glazed white bead painted with the image of a pine tree, one of her clay end-of-the-summer tokens. "Let's just say I've got no love for the Lord of the Dead. You can't be tempted to make a deal for your mum."

"What would you do if it was your dad?" Andromeda challenged.

"That's easy." She said. "I'd leave him to rot."

"Agreed." Jakob nodded. If it was his dad... Jakob wouldn't blink an eye or do anything to save his ass.

"Okay, Jakob I understand, but you?" Andromeda asked the Daughter of Athena. "You can't be serious."

"Not all kids had happy lives growing up, Andie." Jakob reminded, now connecting the dots to what Annabeth meant before, what possibly led her to going out onto the streets.

"My dad's resented me since the day I was born." Annabeth said quietly, causing the two to look at her. "He never wanted a baby. When he got me, he asked Athena to take me back and raise me on Olympus because he was too busy with his work. She wasn't happy about that. She told him heroes had to be raised by their mortal parents."

"But how… I guess you weren't born in a hospital…" Percy dumbly trailed off.

"I appeared at my father's doorstep, in a golden cradle, carried down from Olympus by Zephyr the West Wind. You'd think my dad would remember that as a miracle, right? Like, maybe he'd take some digital photos or something. But he always talked about my arrival as if it were the most inconvenient thing that had ever happened to him. When I was five he got married and totally forgot about Athena. He got a 'regular' mortal wife, and had two 'regular' mortal kids, and tried to pretend I didn't exist." The blond spat in resentment.

Knowing that he and Annabeth were similar when it comes to their fathers, Jakob was able to sympathize with her and understand. He reached out and placed a hand on her shoulder, which she unknowingly leaned into. He wasn't going to say sorry because it really wouldn't help. Annabeth had to deal with a dad that didn't want her, Jakob dealt with a godly father that put him through years of abuse and neglect.

Annabeth's eyes showed that she was thankful for the comfort. Jakob smiled back in response.

"And when the monsters came around." She continued, "they would both look at me resentfully like, 'How dare you put your family at risk.' Finally, I took the hint. I wasn't wanted. I ran away."

"How old were you?" Andromeda asked after a moment, smiling slightly at Jakob's way of comforting Annabeth but couldn't help a small twinge of jealousy for some reason.

"Same age as I started camp. Seven." Annabeth said, shocking Andromeda while Jakob started to connect the pieces into the puzzle.

"But… you couldn't have gotten all the way to Half-Blood Hill by yourself." Andromeda stated.

'Thalia...' Jakob thought, recalling Annabeth quietly murmuring how his sister reminded her of Thalia.

"Not alone, no." Annabeth shook her head with a small smile. "Athena watched over me, guiding me towards help. I made a couple of unexpected friends who took care of me, for a short time, anyway."

Towards the end of their second day on the train, June 13, eight days before the summer solstice, they passed through some golden hills and over the Mississippi River into St. Louis. Annabeth craned her neck to see the Gateway Arch.

"I want to do that," she sighed.

"What?" Andromeda asked while staring at the giant bag handle stabbed in the ground.

"Build something like that. You ever see the Parthenon?"

"Only in pictures," Andromeda replied.

"Same," Jakob offered.

"Someday, I'm going to see it in person. I'm going to build the greatest monument to the gods, ever. Something that'll last a thousand years." Annabeth said with a smile.

"A great dream to aspire to." Mimir said, impressed. Annabeth's smile widened at his words.

Andromeda laughed. "You, an architect?"

Her cheeks flushed. "Yes, an architect. Athena expects her children to create things, not just tear them down, like a certain god of earthquakes I could mention."

"Okay, enough." Jakob cut in before things could turn into an argument. "Annabeth, stop comparing Andromeda to her father. You and her are not your parents, so you shouldn't act like them."

Annabeth winced and looked down, realizing he was right. She looked at Andromeda. "Sorry, that was mean of me."

"Can't we just get along ?" Andromeda asked, not wanting to continuing arguing with Annabeth. She wanted the friend she had, back before it was revealed she was Poseidon's daughter. "Poseidon and Athena worked together at one point, right?"

"Aye, they did." Mimir said, recalling that story. "They helped design the chariot, I believe."

"They did." Annabeth nodded. "My mum invented it, but Poseidon created the horses out of the crest of waves. So they had to work together to make it complete."

"Then if our parents can cooperate, so we can we." Andromeda said firmly.

They rode into the city, Annabeth watching as the Arch disappeared behind a hotel.

"I suppose," she said at last.

Jakob just rolled his eyes. Gods, was she always so stubborn.

They pulled into the Amtrak station downtown. The intercom told them they'd have a three-hour layover before parting Denver.

Grover stretched. Before he was even awake, he said, "Food."

"Come on, goat boy," Annabeth said. "Sightseeing."

"Sightseeing?"

"The Gateway Arch," she said. "This may be my only chance to ride to the top. Are you coming or not?"

The three exchanged looks.

Jakob shrugged. "Well, we've got nothing better to do."

Andromeda caved in, seeing it was better to go together.

Grover shrugged. "As long as there's a snack bar without monsters."

The Arch was about a mile from the train station. Late in the day the lines to get in weren't long. The group threaded through the underground museum, looking at the covered wagons and other stuff from the 1800s. It wasn't all that thrilling to the boys.

Jakob listened to Annabeth as she kept explaining and telling them interesting facts that he didn't care about. Grover kept passing them jellybeans, so it was bearable.

Andromeda kept looking around, though, at the other people in the line. "You smell anything?" She murmured to Grover.

He took his nose out of the jellybean bag long enough to sniff. "Underground," he said distastefully. "Underground air always smells like monsters. Probably doesn't mean anything."

But something felt wrong to Andromeda. She was getting a bad feeling, like she really shouldn't be here.

"Guys," Andromeda said. "You know the gods' symbol of power?"

Annabeth had been in the middle of reading about the construction equipment used to build the Arch, but she looked over. "Yeah?"

"Well Hade-"

Grover cleared his throat. "We're in a public place… you mean our friend downstairs?"

"Yeah, our friend way downstairs-"

"He's not the Devil." Jakob said with an amused look. "That's a whole different story."

Andromeda looked at him, confused, then realized who he mentioned and understood. "Fine, my uncle then. Doesn't he have a hat like Annabeth's?"

"You mean the Helm of Darkness," Annabeth said. "Yeah, that's his symbol of power. I saw it next to his seat during the winter solstice meeting."

"He was there?" Jakob asked curiously.

She nodded. "It's the only time he's allowed to Olympus-the darkest day of the year. But his helm is a lot more powerful than my invisibility cap if what I've heard is true…"

"I'd imagine." Jakob said.

"It allows him to become darkness," Grover confirmed. "He can melt into shadows or pass through walls. He can't be touched, seen, or heard. And he can radiate fear so intense it can drive you insane or stop your heart. Why do think all rational creatures fear the dark?"

"But then… how do we know he's not here right now, watching us?" Andromeda asked.

Annabeth and Grover exchanged looks.

"We don't," Grover said.

"Stop being paranoid." Jakob rolled his eyes. "He probably has better things to do than waste time stalking us. He has a domain to govern and the dead to keep in control."

They got shoehorned into the car with this big fat lady, along with her dog and, weirdly, her pet rattlesnake.

The dog was a Chihuahua with a rhinestone collar, while the rattlesnake was an ordinary snake, but with intelligent, cold eyes. Andromeda figured the dog was a seeing-eye Chihuahua, but didn't know about the snake.

"No parents?" the fat lady asked them.

She had beady eyes: pointy, coffee-stained teeth; a floppy denim hat, and a denim dress that bulged so much, she looked like a blue-jean blimp.

"They're below," Annabeth told her. "Scared of heights."

"Oh, the poor darlings."

The Chihuahua growled, while the rattlesnake hissed. The woman said, "Now, now sonny, Lamie. Behave." Both animals had beady eyes like their owner, intelligent and vicious."

"Sonny and Lamie. Are those their names?" Andromeda asked, wondering what kind of names those were for a dog and a snake?

"The snake is called Lamie, but no, the dog has no name," the lady told him. She smiled, like that cleared everything up. Jakob frowned, his instincts and danger senses rising and he knew... this woman was no human.

At the top of the Arch, the observation deck reminded Jakob of a long tube with decent carpeting. Rows of tiny windows looked out over the city on one side and the river on the other. The view was unnerving to Andromeda, while Jakob let out a low whistle.

Annabeth kept talking about structural supports, and how she would've made the windows bigger, and designed a see-through floor. She probably could've stayed there for hours, but luckily the park ranger announced that the observation deck would be closing in a few minutes.

Andromeda literally dragged Jakob, Grover and Annnabeth towards the exit, loaded the latter two into the elevator, she and Jakob were about to get in but two other tourists were already there, so there was no room.

The park ranger said, "Next car, kids."

"We'll get out," Annabeth said. "We'll wait with you."

But that would just mess everybody up and take even more time, so Andromeda said, "Naw, it's okay. We'll see you guys at the bottom."

Jakob grunted. If there was monsters in their midst, then he and Andromeda would have to take them on. He just hoped his training did not go to waste with her. "We'll be fine." He said to ease their worries.

Grover and Annabeth looked nervous, but they let the elevator door slide shut. Their car disappeared down the ramp.

Now the only people left on the observation deck were them, a little boy and his parents, the park ranger, and the fat lady with her pets.

Andromeda smiled uneasily at the fat lady. She smiled back, her forked tongue flickering between her teeth.

Wait a minute.

She had a forked tongue?

Jakob sighed. "Knew it. Alright, let's get this over with." He reached behind him and drew the Leviathan Axe, startling the mortals. They probably thought he had a shotgun or something.

Before they both knew it, the Chihuahua jumped and started yapping at both demigods.

"Now, now, sonny," the lady said. "Does this look like a good time? We have all these nice people here."

Lamie the snake started hissing loudly.

"Ready yourself, Andie." Jakob said seriously.

"Doggie!" said the little boy. "Look, a doggie!"

His parents pulled him back.

The dog bared its teeth at the demigods, foam dripping from his black lips. The rattlesnake hissed in unison.

"Well, son," the lady sighed. "If you insist."

"Urm, did you just call that Chihuahua your son?" Andromeda asked nervously, hoping she didn't just hear that as she gripped her capped pen.

"Chimera, dear," the lady corrected the boy. "Not a Chihuahua. It's an easy mistake to make. Along with me is the great Lamia."

Jakob raised his eyebrows. "So we got the mother of all bitches, her personal bitch, and another damned snake," he said, sneering. "Great, just great."

"Watch your mouth, brat," the fat lady, the newly revealed Echidna, hissed.

"Make me," he responded back, glaring.

"I'm going to enjoy popping your little head."

"Bitch, you're not the first to say that, and you sure as Hel aren't going to be the last."

The fat lady hissed and screeched, looking red in the face.

The monster woman rolled up her denim sleeves, revealing that her skin of her arms was scaly and green. When she smiled, they could see her fangs. The pupils of her eyes were sideways slits, like a reptile's.

The Chihuahua barked louder, and with each bark, it grew. First to the size of a Doberman, then to a lion. The bark became a roar.

The little boy screamed. His parents pulled him back towards the exit, straight into the park ranger, who stood paralyzed, gaping at the monster.

Lamia the snake started to grow. She too grew to the size of a lion, then continued growing. As she grew, her features changed. She started to develop human-like features. Long hands grew from her sides, along with a swell from her stomach, growing into a woman's bust. Her face stretched, turning from a scaly monster into a beautiful woman. Like the Echidna, she had green scales growing from parts of her body. Her fangs were evident in her mouth. Her hair was a light shade of brown. Somehow, she had a bra where her bust was held, along with several pieces of jewellery on her arms and neck.

The Chimera had the head of a lion with a blood-caked mane, the body and hooves of a giant goat, and a serpent for a tail, a ten-foot-long diamondback growing out of his shaggy behind.

The rhinestone dog collar still hung around its neck, and the plate-sized dog tag was now easy to read: CHIMERA – RABID, FIRE-BREATHING, POISONOUS – IF FOUND, PLEASE CALL TARTARUS – EXT. 954.

The snake lady made a hissing noise that might've been laughter. "Be honoured, Andromeda Jackson, Jakob Thorsson. Lord Zeus rarely allows me to test a hero with one of my brood. But the chance to face an Aesir? now that's something. Along with Lamia, the sea monster and daughter of Poseidon. For I am the Mother of Monsters, the terrible Echidna!"

"Looks like you're meeting one of your many sisters, Andie." Jakob said to the demigod Daughter of Poseidon.

"Echidna... isn't that an anteater?" Andromeda suddenly asked.

Jakob snorted and snickered in amusement.

Echidna howled, her reptilian face turning brown and green with rage. "I hate it when people say that! I hate Australia! Naming that ridiculous animal after me. For that Andromeda Jackson, my son shall destroy you!"

"Oi, can't you learn to fight for once?!" Jakob interjected. "Don't be a pussy and send your son! Come and fight!"

"…Sonny, kill them. Right now. Lamia, you too."

"Don't order me around, Echidna." Lamia snarled, her voice sounding beautiful. Now that Jakobthought about it, with her revealing nature, she was quite hot. "I'll decide who I kill. I think I'll choose the Aesir." Here she looked towards Jakob, smiling with her fangs. "I wish to test the son of the mighty Thor himself."

Echidna snarled. "Fine! But make sure he suffers!"

Jakob thought of a plan quickly. "Andie, you take the Chimera. Watch out for its fire breath and snake tail. Don't rush in blindly. Echidna won't do anything. I'll take care of Lamia."

"Right, thanks," Andromeda responded, thankful for the knowledge. She took out Riptide. "Be careful."

"I'm the last person you should be saying that to." Jakob said with a smirk.

Before Andromeda could say anything, the Chimera charged, its lion teeth gnashing. They leaped in opposite directions, avoiding its bite.

As Jakob was about to raise his sword and attack, he saw Lamia slithering unbelievably fast towards him. He just had a second to react before he rolled out of the way, narrowly dodging her claws. Huh, so she had claws, too. Damn.

Jakob decided to leave Andromeda to her own devices. She could handle herself He did train her for a bit after all. He turned his attention towards his opponent.

"Stay still, child," she hissed teasingly. "I'll be sure to make it worth your while."

"Sorry, you're not my type." Jakob retorted.

Lamia shrugged, causing her breasts to jiggle. "Shame. Guess I'll have to force you to comply... I always wondered how great an Aesir would be in bed."

"And you'll be waiting for more centuries to find out." Jakob said, pointing the Leviathan Axe at her. "Now shut up and fight."

Lamia hissed like a snake and sprung like one, which Jakob rolled out of the way but he nicked her with the Leviathan Axe as she passed, causing her to hiss in pain. Jakob charged and rammed his shoulder into her, taking her down. Lamia snarled and swung her claws, but Jakob backed off, recalling her claws being poisonous.

Lamia came at the Son of Thor again, but he sidestepped, ducked and dodged her attacks before clobbering her right in the face, then grabbed her left arm and twisted hard to dislocate it, which made her shriek in pain before Jakob kicked her right in the face and knocked her onto her back.

Lamia sprang once again, mouth open, ready to sink her fangs into Jakob but he caught her by the throat and channelled some lightning through his hand and into her body, causing her to scream in pain before Jakob clenched down hard and crushed her throat, her body dissolving into golden dust soon after.

When the gold dust settled, all that was a large fang. It seemed to be coated with a small purple substance that he knew to be poison (AN: Think of the basilisk fang from the second Harry Potter book, in the Chamber of Secrets).

Jakob picked the fang up and looked it over before putting it in his backpack. Suddenly, a scream from Andromeda made him whirl around and his eyes widened when he saw the snake tail bit of the Chimera bite Andromeda in the calf. The floor next to them was torched, the carpet set on fire. The snake tail retracted, leaving Andromeda to kneel in pain.

Before the Chimera could do anything worse, Jakob ran up and rammed into it Rugby-style, sending it flying and sliding along the floor. The Son of Thor quickly turned to the Daughter of Poseidon.

"Andie? Are you alright?" He asked worriedly.

"It hurts..." Andromeda whimpered in pain.

Jakob glanced around, seeing there was nothing that could heal Andromeda of her wound... but there was water outside.

"The water outside." He muttered to her, causing her to look at him. "I doubt you're strong enough to will that much to you just now... you'll have to jump into it."

"Yes, do so!" Echnica cackled, causing Jakob to glare at her. "If you are the daughter of Poseidon, you would not fear water. Jump, Andromeda Jackson. Show me that water will not harm you. Jump and retrieve your sword. Prove your bloodline."

"What about you?" Andromeda muttered to the Son of Thor.

"I'm going to shut this bitch up." Jakob growled, sending another glare at Echnida who just smirked at him.

Andromeda looked down at the water, then her expression became one of determination and she nodded at Jakob before willingly falling back and off the platform, falling towards the water. Jakob watched as she hit the water and sunk beneath it, knowing it will do it's job in healing her.

Now, he had a couple of monsters to deal with.

"And then there was you." Echnida cackled as Jakob stood and faced her, Leviathan Axe gripped tightly in his hand. "I must say, I never through I'd see the day where an Aesir would care about anyone other than themselves, especially a Son of Thor!"

"You know who I am." Jakob said calmly. "You know my heritage. Who my father is. My father is often spoke about with disgust, hatred, anger, rage... and fear. You don't show any of them because he's not here of course. But I was raised by him, by the biggest butchering bastard in all Nine Realms. If he can drive the Giants to near extinction... can you imagine what I can do to you?"

For the first time, a flicker of uncertainty and even fear passed through Echnida's eyes.

The Chimera roared and charged at the Son of Thor, who's expression darkened as he waited. When the Chimera was close enough, Jakob rolled out the way, swung the Axe and sliced off the snake tail. With a roar, Jakob rammed his knee into the beast's side, slammed the Axe into it's side before he grabbed the Chimera by it's mouth and began pulling hard, yanking as well to cause pain so it didn't try shooting fire out of his mouth.

Easily, with his superhuman strength, Jakob pulled hard and ripped the Chimera's jaws open. "Sonny!" Echidna exclaimed in worry, but it was too late.

The Chimera let out a roar of pain as it fell to dust, leaving behind a white horn with a tuft of blood and crimson fur.

Jakob picked up the Leviathan Axe, hooked it to his back, and turned to Echidna. "You're next." He said.

Echidna hissed furiously, her snake bottom bent, almost coiled.

"How dare you!" she shouted at him, her fangs and claws gleaming.

Jakob rolled his shoulders, one hand reaching into his backpack for something while the other made the come-here motion.

Howling, Echidna lunged, ready to kill the demigod before her.

Scooping up his spoil of war from the Chimera, he rolled, rebounding back after Echidna landed, and drew the fang he got from Lamia. With both the horn and fang, he roared, stabbing both into her chest deep enough to leave a fatal wound.

She screeched, then, like her son, disappeared in gold dust, leaving no previous presence of her.

Jakob sighed and relaxed, putting his two spoils of war into his backpack as Mimir commented. "Well, that was something. Taking on Lamia, then the Chimera and then the mother of monsters herself. So that's the Furies, Medusa, Lamia, the Chimera and Echidna you've faced on this quest. Not bad."

"Indeed." Jakob said, approaching the hole Andromeda made and looked down at the water below. "This quest has barely even begun and we've already faced several of Greek mythology's known monsters..."

And that's it for this chapter everyone. Yeah, I added Lamia in to the fight with Echidna, and gave off a different description of her as the half snake half beautiful woman. Seems she was looking to make a different use of Jakob.

Hope the action scene was alright. I'm trying to make some stuff similar to God of War like the kill executions and all of that. The way Kratos would do it sometimes.
