Kenka: It's a good idea, but why would the World Serpent be in the Sea of Monsters? Isn't that technically Greek territory?

ayatoamagiri3425: Thanks.

Everyone on board the CSS Birmingham took a few steps back as the giant sea monster's head roared, heading towards the side of the ship, biting into it. The monster's sharp teeth passed through the material easily and chomped down onto it, destroying a large piece of the hull.

"It took out a piece of the ship!" Annabeth yelled, alarmed.

"As if Charybdis and Scylla weren't enough," Andromeda said, annoyed. Though Jakob saw her shake a little in fear.

"What the hell is that thing?!" Clarisse asked, looking a little fearful. Okay, scratch that. Very fearful.

No one answered her. Tyson whimpered a little as his weapon shook in his hands and tried to keep a good grip on it but Andromeda, who was next to him, quickly began to calm him down along with Annabeth who looked like she was putting her problems with cyclops aside for the time being.

The giant sea monster roared again, the sound reverberating off the ship and rattling the demigods and cyclops where they stood.

Clarisse, though afraid, didn't let her fear stop her from her duty. "Get the cannons ready!" Clarisse roared out shaking the dead Confederate soldiers out of their stupor and running back over to the cannons.

"Clarisse, we don't know what we are dealing with," Annabeth said to the daughter of Ares. "Attacking it might just piss it off even more. We need to know what we are dealing with."

"Not sure we're going to get enough time for that, Annie," Jakob said, seeing the monster heading towards the mast, hoping to bite it off.

"Aim for its head! Destroy it!" Clarisse yelled out.

Having a sense of dread fill him and seeing Clarisse's temper was acting up, Jakob grabbed hold of the others. "Everyone get down and hit the deck!"

They complied quickly with the order and they quickly understood why and were glad that they did with what happened next.

"FIRE!" Clarisse shouted as the cannons on the ship fired the cannon shells towards the head of the monster, with many of the cannons managing to hit it in its teeth and face. When they hit small chunks of the monster blasted away, making small pieces fly all over the place before they disappeared into bits of golden dust.

The monster roared in agony, flailing its head around in pain. The attack did exactly what Annabeth said it would and the monster began to writhe around before it went hostile and began swinging in every direction. It's angry, serpent-like eyes glared down upon the residents of the ship.

The monster swung upwards and towards one the mast of the ship and quickly destroyed it, sending it to the ground and spiralling of into the ocean.

Seeing this, Jakob decided to take action. There was no point in trying to stand by since Clarisse already pissed it off. Summoning lighting in his hands, he threw two lighting bolts at the monster, aiming for it's eyes.

But the monster moved so much that the attack missed its eyes completely. On the plus side, it nicked a piece of its neck off. Which managed to make it even more angrier because of that..

At Clarisse command, the cannons fired again. This time, the monster recovered from its pain and dodged the cannons immediately. Its scaly hands rose up from the sea, and tried raking at the ship instead of biting it. The ship wobbled because of the motions created under the sea by the monster, causing the demigods and cyclops to almost slip. Because of the ship being off balance, it was saved from being destroyed completely from the monster's claws. Unfortunately, it still suffered damage. The claws raked through the hull of the ship, tearing through the material and showcasing the inside of the ship.

Seeing it do damage, the monster raised its hands into fists and tried smashing through the ship.

"If this keeps going, the ship will be destroyed before we can even attack it!" Annabeth stated.

"You think we don't know that?" Jakob responded. He looked to the daughter of Poseidon. "Andie. Control the ice so we can kill it." But Andromeda didn't respond. She looked upon the thing, shaking a little in fear.

Jakob groaned before he flicked the girl on the forehead, snapping her out of his fear. "Wha-" Andromeda responded, looking as if she woke up from a dream. She looked at Jakob, who was glaring at her.

"Focus! I know that you're scared, and that's fine. But we need to kill this thing or we're going to die!" Jakob snapped, getting her attention.

"R-right," Andromeda nodded before running over to near the edge of the ship to look at the monster. It was still smashing the ship, making everyone stumble and also making the ship shake. But the daughter of Poseidon didn't focus on that. She mentally connected with the ocean around her, and commanded a water pillar to erupt from the bottom. She fashioned them into an ice spear that was sent hurtling towards the monster.

Too focused on something else, the monster didn't see the spear coming until it got lodged into the its neck. Not deep enough to kill it, but definitely enough to cause it serious pain.

The monster roared in pain, forgoing destroying the ship to retreating into the ocean to clutch its wound. Andromeda had a few moments to celebrate her success when the monster roared, throwing large amounts of water around it. Rearing back, it swiped at the top of the deck, specifically at the daughter of Poseidon.

"Move!" Andromeda yelled, Jakob following her in dodging, just in time to narrowly miss the claw that was aiming to swipe them off and kill them. Unfortunately, the claws scraped through the top of the ship, sending the demigods and Tyson flying across the deck.

Jakob had time to glimpse the others fall as he fell to the side of the deck that wasn't destroyed. While the others landed somewhat safely, Jakob saw that Annabeth was sailing over the deck and heading towards the sea beneath her. She screamed as she fell, useless gripping for something to hold onto.

"Annabeth!" Jakob shouted, running and leaping over the railing without hesitation. With a burst of lightning, he flew at her and caught her in his arms, hugging her close before flying back to the ship's deck. However, the monster saw them and swatted them out the air like swatting a fly, sending Jakob crashing though he made sure to take most of the impact instead of Annabeth.

"Gah!" Jakob grunted as he slid across the deck before coming to a stop, Annabeth on top of him, clutching him tightly before she released him.

"J-Jakob?" She asked worriedly.

"I'll be fine." Jakob assured her with a grunt as he fought off the pain of the impact. He looked at her worriedly. "Are you okay?"

"Y-Yeah." Annabeth nodded with a small smile. "Thank you. You saved my life."

"You're welcome." Jakob smiled back at her.

The two stared at each other, having a moment - not a romantic one, mind you, but others would disagree - and staring into each others eyes. However, Annabeth took note of their positions and her cheeks blushed bright red. She was on top of Jakob! Practically straddling him! She quickly jumped to her feet, blushing and looking shy as Jakob got to his.

"S-Sorry." She apologised before her eyes widened. "The Cetus!"

"What?" Jakob frowned.

Annabeth looked at him and pointed at the monster. "I know what that thing is! It's the Cetus!"

"Good to know. Any way of killing it?" Jakob asked as he looked at the Cetus.

"Perseus killed it," Annabeth explained, scrunching her face in thought. "In the myths, Perseus was said to have stabbed his sword into the back of the Cetus. Another version says that he used Medusa's head to turn it to stone."

"We don't have Medusa's head, but I do have an Axe that was made to rival my father's hammer." Jakob said, holding up the Leviathan Axe.

Jakob looked around to see the others. They were alright, albeit a little shaken up. The ship, however, was a mess. The hull was destroyed, as well as the mast. The deck had claw marks that showed the bottom of the ocean, and the top half of the ship looked like it was cleaved off. Jakob could feel that the ship was going to sink, and he didn't need his demigod powers to know that.

He sighed. He was about to do something stupid. But stupid ideas were sometimes the best ideas. Plus, he could save his friends while he was at it, so there was that.

"Clarisse," he called over getting the girl's attention and as she shakily made her way over. He pulled her towards him and spoke into her ear.

"Are there lifeboats on the ship?" he asked and got a strange look from Clarisse.

"Yes, but why do you want to know? We aren't sinking."

"Yes we are. The Cetus already destroyed the middle section of the ship and it'll destroy the rest. The skeleton crew would want to go down with their ship, being dead."

"The Cetus? How do you-" Clarisse asked, but was interrupted by Jakob.

"We don't have time. How many people can fit on those boats?"

Clarisse quickly racked her brain around a little trying to make sense of it all. "The boats are not big but we could get about seven or eight people in one alone."

"Good. That's more than enough. Take two lifeboats. Get out of here. Keep the others safe." Clarisse looked like she was about to argue, but Jakob gripped her shoulders tightly. "Clarisse, please," he pleaded.

Clarisse looked sad, but eventually nodded. "Okay."

Jakob smiled at her. "Thank you." With that, he looked at the others. "Follow Clarisse. She is going to take you to the lifeboats. This ship is going to come down with the holes in the side and the Cetus is going to continue destroying it."

"Is there nothing we can do?" Andromeda asked, even though she knew herself that the ship was going to go down. That last hit from the Cetus had sealed the ships fate.

"The ship is going down. Get to the lifeboats. While they might not be strong, they may be small enough for the boats to pass monsters unnoticed and get you to safety."

Jakob patted Tyson on the shoulder, then placed his hands on Annabeth and Andromed'a shoulders, giving them a sad smile. While ANdromeda looked confused, Annabeth's eyes widened in realisation. "Take care of each other." The son of Thor said before he backed away, sending Clarisse a nod. "Get them out of here."

With that, he began to run towards the Cetus. The others started understanding what what he was about to do.

"No! Come back!" Annabeth yelled, but Clarisse wrapped an arm around her, dragging her away to the lifeboats, same with Andromeda when she saw the daughter of Poseidon about to follow Jakob. "Clarisse, let me go!"

"Let me go, dammit!" Andromeda demanded.

"I can't," she said sadly, pulling the two girls along.

"We're not leaving him!" Annabeth shouted.

"He'd want you both safe! Now move! I'm sorry, but we have to go!" Clarisse said, managing to pull the two distraught girls to the lifeboats.

With Jakob, the son of Thor came to a stop at the edge of the back of the ship. staring up at the Cetus coldly as the monster turned it's attention onto him.

"Are you sure about this, brother?" Mimir asked quietly. "There's a chance this is it."

"...Yeah." Jakob sighed before his expression steeled into a cold glare and he recalled the Leviathan Axe to him, pointing it challengingly at the Cetus, who roared as if telling him his defiance was useless.

Frosting the blade of the Axe up, Jakob ran as the Cetus lunged it's head forward to swallow him hole, but the son of Thor jumped at the last second and brought the Axe down into one of it's eyes with a roar, making the creature let out a roar of pain while trying to shake him off but Jakob held on tightly, then punched the creatures' eyes repeatedly, channelling lightning into his punches and summoning a storm of lightning from the sky to aid him, lightning bolts striking the gigantic monster.

Ripping the Axe out of the eye, Jakob frosted the blade up then drove it back into the destroyed eye socket, causing the wound to frost up and cause the monster further pain. Jakob then leaped off and landed on the destroyed ship, glancing around before he saw the mast, at least what's left of it, and it had a sharp edge at the broken part. Jakob looked from it to the Cetus then back against before grinning and flying up to the mast with a burst of lightning. He whistled, getting the Cetus' attention and gestured for it to eat him.

"Come on! Eat me!" Jakob baited.

The Cetus roared and lunged, but Jakob leaped at the last moment, landed on it's head and rolled until he was at the back of it, kicked off with some force before roaring as he brought his body into the back of it's head with enough force to send it lurching forward and the sharp end of the broken mast pierced through it's mouth and into the back of it's throat, burting out the back.

However, in doing so, Jakob condemned the fate of the ship to the depths of the Sea of Monsters as the force behind the Cetus; lunge as well as his attack, destroyed the ship. The explosion of which sent Jakob flying out the air and hitting the water like a pebble being flicked to bounce off the water repeatedly, which is what happened to Jakob before he came to a stop and sank underneath the ocean water, his vision soon going dark as Mimir called out to him.

"Wake up, son of Thor. You're not dead, yet." A male voice called, stirring Jakob from his unconscious state. With a groan, Jakob opened his eyes and was startled to find himself underwater... yet strangely enough he wasn't drowning or having his lungs filled with water. "No, I'm preventing that from happening. Helps to have the sea as my domain."

Jakob looked in front of him and his eyes widened when he saw a man standing in front of him. He was wearing a T-shirt and shorts, along with sandals. He looked like he had a good tan near the beach, except that his skin looked a bit rough. From seeing his hand, Jakob could tell that he had tiny scars and calluses, showing hands like a fisherman. He was also wearing a straw hat that covered his head. The man looked about thirty, and was wearing a pendant with a swirling dragon on it, which was a bit odd, but also cool. However, the thing that set Jakob off was his eyes. While they looked like normal blue eyes, they had a large slit.

"Who are you?" Jakob asked with narrowed eyes. "You're clearly a God... but I'm not sure which one. You aren't Olympian, Aesir or Vanir."

The man, or god, let out a rumble in his chest that sounded like laughter. "Well, well, at least you're aware of your surroundings. You don't know how annoying it is to deal with clueless mortals."

"You didn't answer my question." Jakob said, grabbing the Leviathan Axe from where it floated beside him.

The god probably knew what he was doing, because he looked amused. "Oh, stay your hand, young demigod. I have no intention to cause you trouble, as I've told you. I might even help you. As for who I am, well…" Here, he strayed off, as if pausing for dramatic effect. "I'm not of any pantheons you've met, which is really Greek and your own. I am Ryūjin, the Shinto dragon God of the Sea, and I've been wanting to speak to you, Jakob Thorsson, for a good while."

Jakob's eyes widened at this, mainly the fact he's standing before the Shinto God of the Sea himself. He's never met any of the Shinto Gods, nor Egyptian, Aztec, Hindu, any of them, only Olympian, Aesir and Vanir. But he's heard enough of the Shinto Gods, Ryūjin especially.

"You've got to be kidding me." Mimir said from Jakob's hip, causing the son of Thor to take him off and show him the Shinto God. "Fuck me, the Shinto God of the Sea himself!"

"And you must be Mimir, Odin's adviser." Ryūjin said in a neutral tone as he eyed the head.

"Former adviser." Mimir corrected. "If I may inquire, my lord, what interest do you have in young Jakob here?"

Ryūjin snorted. "Aside from interacting with Greek demigods and the Olympians, and not being blasted to pieces by Zeus? Curiosity and intrigue, really. It's well know that the Norse and the Greek have a... tense relationship, that they don't like each other, and Zeus doesn't like your father, Thor, especially. I always say it was because he's jealous Thor's a better lightning god than him, as well as the fact Thor wields the mighty Mjölnir. But, I'm not here to talk about them, I'm here for you, Jakob."

"Why?" Jakob asked suspiciously.

"There's never been interaction between the pantheons of this basis before... until you came along." Ryūjin said, understanding Jakob's suspicions of him. "I mean, yeah, the Gods of the pantheons have met and, depending on the pantheon and God, it usually goes hostile, but never has a demigod interacted with the demigods of another pantheon, especially the Norse and Greek. I'm surprised war hasn't came between your pantheons because of this."

"I do not act on my pantheon's interests, only my own." Jakob said seriously. "I'm on the run from Asgard, from Odin and my father."

"Hmm..." The dragon God of the Sea nodded. "Well, your time of hiding may come to an end soon. Odin's been searching the territories of different pantheons, namely those who are still great in strength rather than weaker ones. He must've thought you'd be hiding in the territory of a pantheon still strong in this modern age, unlike the Olympians who are not as powerful as they were before the decline in worship. But anyway, back to business, I was merely strolling along in these waters when I witnessed the battle between you and the Cetus."

Jakob frowned. "What are you doing so far from Japanese waters? Won't the Olympians detect you in these waters?"

Ryūjin scoffed. "I'm the God of the Sea, I go where I want. I mean, yeah I like being in my underwater palace, Ryūgū-jō, but sometimes I like to venture out and stroll through the waters. But listen, boy, I sense you'll bring change in our world. I don't know what kind of change, for your future is ever-changing."

"What?" Jakob's frown deepened. "You've seen my future?"

Ryūjin grinned, showing his unnaturally large fangs. "Only glimpses. I don't really like dealing with the future myself. Nor am I interested in it also. I like to take things at it's own pace. But as I was saying, you are as unpredictable as the sea, and untamable. You refuse to be shackled and controlled by the Olympians, by anyone, an admirable quality compared to some demigods who'd do the will of the Gods to keep them appeased. Though, I'm still confused by your continuous interaction with the Greeks."

"Because I have friends." Jakob answered. "I don't do it because of the Olympians, I do it for my friends, my fellow demigods. I will protect them with my life... against all Gods, even if I have to kickstart Ragnarök early."

"Ohh, let's not go there, kid. Last I checked, that's still a hundred winters away at least." Ryūjin said with his hands up. "I admire your determination, your loyalty to your friends, that you would fight Gods and Monsters to keep them safe. Now, we've done enough talking." Here, he took off his dragon pendant and handed it to him. "Here, kid. A little token from lil' old me. It allows you to contact me, so we can have little chats if you want. Don't lose it."

"Why?" Jakob asked, confused on why he was being given a gift from the Shinto God.

Ryūjin smirked. "Now, that would be telling. Tell you what, if you survive this quest, contact me and we'll talk then. I assure you, if you do... you'll love what I'll offer."

With that, the Shinto God disappeared along with whatever invisible bubble he had conjured around them. Jakob soon found himself floating deep underwater before he began swimming up to the surface, soon breaking it and spitting water out.

"Dick, he couldn't have sent me to land?" Jakob asked with annoyance, then lifted Mimir up from underwater, the head spitting water out as well. "What do you think?"

"Well, he's a God, so of course he expects demigods to make do themselves-"

"No, no, what he wants, I meant." Jakob cut in.

"Oh!" Mimir's eyes widened. "Well, I'm not sure, quite frankly. But you've gained the interest of a powerful God, brother. He has his reasons for seeking you out, and it's best if we survive this quest to see what he wants from you."

"True." Jakob nodded then looked around with a frown. "But we have no way of finding the others, or even knowing where to go. And I cannot fly to every island that lurks within the Sea of Monsters looking for them. They could be in danger while I'm wasting time on some other island. Dammit, I'll search every damn island I come across until I find them."

With that, Jakob shot off into the air with a boost of lightning to follow, thunder rumbling in his wake.

Two days passed since Jakob began his search for his friends, and it was proving fruitless. The Sea of Monsters contained many islands, the Bermuda Triangle was vast and big, so it's not like it would be easy. It's like finding a needle in a haystack. Jakob did pass some islands and searched them, but found no sign of his friends so he continued on.

"Anything, brother?" Mimir called over the wind.

"Nothing." Jakob said with a sigh as he looked around, then his nose wrinkled and he snorted. "What the hell? Why do I smell smoke?"

"Smoke? What, like fire smoke?" Mimir asked.

"Yes." Jakob nodded, looking around. However, he didn't have to look long as he spotted black smoke in the distance. If there's a fire, there must be an island close by. And if there's a fire with that much smoke, that meant trouble.

Perhaps the others had caused it as a distress or something.

Without another thought, he increased speed to fly in the direction of the black smoke.

When he got closer, he saw that he was staring at what looked like a large spa resort. The place looked beautiful and he thought it would have been a great place for a holiday visit. There were palm trees, white sandy beaches, beach tables with half drank drinks sitting on side tables, an outside bar with all the works. It kind of looked like a paradise.

Well he knew it would have been paradise. The only problem was that the docks and buildings were on fire along with what he believed look liked pirates, which weren't as wimpy as the other ones, chasing women around and pillaging anything they could find and get their hands on.

"The hell happened here? Why are pirates here?" Jakob wondered before shaking his head. He can worry about that later, he should search the island for Andromeda, Annabeth and the others, and also help out the women being chased. He knew pirates were the most despicable type of humans, pillaging, plundering and even raping.

Landing on the island with a grunt, Jakob straightened up and spotted a small archway with the name of the resort.

C.C.'s Spa and Resort.

Interesting name.

He made his way through and saw a young girl about his age with black hair and light brown eyes and had nymph-like features was trying to keep one of the pirates away with a chair but it quickly got swatted away by the man. He was a big man with a large potbelly and a red bandana over his head.

frowning, Jakob blasted the man with a beam of lightning, causing the man to scream in pain before he fell over, his form smoking. The girl looked at the body with wide eyes before looking at Jakob as he approached.

Jakob paused when he saw the woman's dress in tatters, and he quickly grabbed a nearby blanket and gently draped it over the woman to cover her up. Thankfully, nothing private was showing, but that wasn't the point. He doubted any girl would go around with such a ruined state of clothing.

"Here, should keep you covered." He said.

"T-Thank you." The woman said, hugging the blanket around her closely. "W-Who are you?"

"Jakob. I was just passing by when I saw the smoke coming from the island, so I came to check it out. What's going on?"

"I-I don't know," the woman stammered. "One minute, everything was peaceful, and then the next, we're attacked by pirates! They were locked up with no way of coming out. Circe said that-"

"Wait!" Jakob stopped her. "Did you say Circe?" Was she talking about the same Circe from the myths? What was the immortal sorceress doing here?

"I did."

"We're talking about Circe, the immortal daughter of Hecate and the woman Odysseus met during his long trip home? The sorceress that turns men into pigs?" he asked with his eyes quickly looking around. He did not want to be turned into a pig.

"Yes, that is her. This resort and this island is hers and is a haven of sorts to women. Any man that comes here is turned into a guinea pig to her amusement while the women are given a life of luxury as well as binding themselves to the island."

Jakob looked around nervously. "She isn't here, is she?" He asked. He did not like getting turned into a porker today. He sighed in relief when she shook her head.

"No, she disappeared yesterday after this invasion began. We have not seen her since and I somehow doubt she will be coming back."

Jakob nodded. "Well,do you think you could tell me just what is going on here? Plus I never got your name." He said as he picked up a fruit bowl and threw it towards a pirate that was running towards them and promptly knocked him out. This got the girl to chuckle a bit.

"My name is Maya."

"That's a beautiful name, Maya." Jakob said, earning a blush from Maya. "Do you mind telling me what happened?"

"Not at all. It all started yesterday. Three demigods arrived on our island, two girls and one boy. The girls were of course given a place to stay here while the boy was given a choice to make and made the wrong one. He was turned into a guinea pig. When the girls found out, one of them threw some weird vitamins into the cage with the guinea pigs and made the boy turn human again. However, it also turned the other guinea pigs which happened to be a band of pirates. They left on the pirate's ship, 'The Queen Anne's Revenge'."

"Wait," Jakob said, hoping to keep the hope out of his voice. "Was the girl blond with grey eyes, and the other with dark hair and sea green eyes?"

Maya looked confused as to why he was asking, but still nodded. "Yes. Why?"

"No reason," Jakob said with a smile on his face. Andromeda and Annabeth were here before! And if he had to guess, then the other boy was Tyson! This was great! "Please, continue."

"As I was saying, they took Blackbeard's ship and this enraged him to the point where he has sworn to destroy our home." She said, looking a little tear eyed. "This place is where I was born and where I was raised. Now it is being destroyed and I will have to find somewhere new to live."

Jakob eyed her sympathetically. He ignored the bit about Blackbeard, filing that away. You'd have to be pretty dumb to not know who Blackbeard is, the most dangerous and notorious pirate, the pirate all pirates fear... and also a son of Ares. Yeah, Blackbeard was a demigod, and of course his dad would be Ares. Shaking that aside, Jakob placed a hand on Maya's shoulder, earning her attention.

"It'll be okay, I promise." Jakob assured her. "I'll help as many survivors as I take them to the docks where it is safe. None of the pirates will be able to hurt any of you again. I promise."

"Really?" she asked hopefully.

"Really," Jakob nodded, before Maya jumped him and wrapped him in a hug.

"Thank you." she said as she broke the hug and played with the blanket that was wrapped around her.

"No problem," Jakob said, blushing a bit. He then looked towards the girl. "You know, for someone who lives on an island where no boys are aloud, you certainly do not mind hugging one and giving him compliments," Jakob said as he looked at her strangely while she shrugged.

"We don't hate boys. We have just been taught that it best to show men that it is the women that are in charge and that we call the shorts. There are many groups out there that do not have any boys in them, but that doesn't mean that all women hate boys. Well, except the Hunters of Artemis."

And with that, the two began walking. He looked around and saw most of the fires had been put out though the buildings looked like they were not going to be used any time soon. The support beams and the walls were a mess and the roofs looked like they were barely holding together as it was. Jakob got to work on looking for the other women, rescuing them from pirates chasing them with sinister intent. Afterwards, he brought the women to where Maya was waiting by the docks. When Maya was able to explain who he was, the women gave him many hugs as thanks for his actions, making Jakob blush a little. They were shocked when he displayed lightning powers, and he told them he was the son of Thor.

When he gathered about roughly thirty women, he was about to head into the main entrance. Maya looked like she was about to say something a scream rang out through the air catching their attention and it was not far away.

Jakob told the women to stay together and remain safe as he went inside to see what was happening.

Jakob ran through the destroyed halls jumping over the broken chairs and tables that littered its way and the destroyed vases and plant pots that were shattered beyond fixing.

He could hear a loud commotion coming from a large hall a little in front of him and could hear a girl screaming along with men laughing and steels hitting each other.

It did not take long to get there and when he did and saw what was happening, Jakob's blood began to bold tremendously and his anger was quickly rising to downright furious.

In the middle of the hall were seven people. Five were men and two were girls. The men were all large and slightly overweight wearing scruffy shirts and pants that had rips all over them. They all had big grins on their faces.

However, one was different and Jakob recognised him immediately. He was a large figured at six foot five and had a long black beard that was braided in some area's but scruffy and let lose in to hers. He had semi long hair that went just passed his shoulders and a dirty grubby looking face with two of his teeth being made of gold. He wore white shirt over long black pants with a faded red long jacket over his shoulder and a sword strapped to his side. He was Blackbeard the Pirate.

It was when he saw the two girls that he felt sick and disgusted, because one girl who looked to be the older of two was being pinned to the ground screaming at Blackbeard to get away from her sister while the other girl who was the younger of two and looked to be around his age was bent over a wooden table doing her best not to cry while Blackbeard grinned from behind her playing with the hem of her dress.

"You two wenches have been causing us a lot of trouble on this island. I lost some of my best men because of you two," he said motioning to all the dead bodies of pirates that littered the ground. There must have been around a dozen in total. Lighting thundered above in the sky, but the pirates didn't seem to care. "Now you two will have to pay some repercussions because of it."

"Being a guinea pig for so long has left certain needs that need to be taken care of and we will start with the youngest." He said while began to lift up the young girl's skirt. The other girl on the floor was screaming at him to get away from her but before he could even begin to unbuckle his pants belt, the cries of his men came from behind him. He looked behind him to see his men being struck by several lightning bolts raining down from the sky, then something came flying through the air, cutting through the men and their bodies dropped to the floor with puddles of blood forming underneath. The object soon ended up lodged in the wall, revealing itself to be an axe.

Both girls and Blackbeard looked managed to look past the gruesome scene to see a boy, who opened his hand and the axe went flying into it.

"W-who're you, bo-" But Blackbeard didn't get to finish his sentence as the boy blasted him with a beam of lightning from his hand, sending him into the wall with a grunt.

Jakob approached the downed pirate and grabbed him by the neck, holding him up. Glaring into the pirate's eyes, Jakob sent lightning through his arm and into Blackbeard's body, causing him to scream in pain while the girls watched with wide eyes, especially when the flesh melted away and smoke drifted off, before a skeleton remained behind and Jakob dropped the remains, brought his foot up and smashed the skull underneath.

Jakob exhaled before hooking the Axe to his back, then turned to the two silent girls with concerned eyes. "Are you two okay?" He asked.

The older girl nodded shakily. "Y-yes, yes we are okay. Just a few scraped and bruises, nothing too serious. Thank you, thank you so much, for saving my little sister." She said as he nodded and then looked to the younger girl who just continued to stare at him.

"Anytime." He said, looking at the older girl. "Good thing I came here in time before he... defiled you both."

"If you had not come…" the younger girl said before she began to cry silently. The older girl gently began to soothe her and calm her down while Jakob walked towards her and gently patted her shoulder comfortably. He silently pitied her for having to go through that at a young age. Hopefully, she could move past this and become stronger. She seemed like a tough girl.

When the young girl began to calm down the older girl looked at him and took his hand. "I can never thank you enough for saving us. May the gods bless you," she said with a smile on her face and eyes that beaming with gratefulness.

Jakob smiled, but didn't say anything. Instead, he just nodded.

"May I know the name of the one who saved us from a fate worse than death?" she asked, wanting to know who their saviour was while the younger girl peaked towards him.

"Jakob. Jakob Thorsson."

"Thorsson?" The older girl's eyes widened. "You mean, as in...?"

"Thor, the Norse God of Thunder, yes." Jakob nodded. "The Norse Gods do exist."

The younger girl still held her awed look, while the older one looked at him appraisingly, with a hint of respect and... lust? "Well then, I can see you're a skilled warrior. It's no wonder the pirates fell to you." Before he could comment, the girl introduced herself. "My name is Hylla and this is my younger sister Reyna."

So they were sisters. As he looked at the two sisters he saw Reyna just continue to look at him in wonder while Hylla looked at him with a look that he had seen a a few times before. He was flattered, really, but he wasn't sure if now was the time to bring it up to her.

Shaking his head, he offered his hands to the girls. "Come. Let's get you two out of here."

Hylla took his hand almost immediately while Reyna looked a bit more subdued before taking it.

Gently helping the two up he began to lead them away and towards the safe zone.

Along the way he talked with two in gentle tone and got to know them a little. The two girls had arrived when Hylla was five and Reyna was two and had spent their days growing up in Circe's resort and who welcomed them with open arms.

Both knew that they were demigods but neither had an idea who their godly parent was except the fact that they knew it was their mother. Plus they said during the fight with the pirates they felt a surge of energy and a symbol appear above their heads but neither got a good look at them due to the pirates. All they knew that they were suddenly very familiar with weapons and began to give the pirates an ass kicking before Blackbeard and his group subdued them.

Jakob had to respect their determination. They were fighters, all right. Though upon looking at them closer, to gauge their heritage, he knew... they were not Greek demigods. Oh yes, he knew all about the Roman demigods, though he hadn't met them of course, but with a grandfather like Odin... you come to learn a lot about another pantheon due to Odin wanting to know everything.

"Hylla!" A voice called out as they approached the safe zone and saw a girl lunge forward and wrap Hylla in a hug before grabbing Reyna and bringing her into the hug as well. "Thank the gods you are both okay."

"It's good to see you, Kinzie. We are fine thanks to our hero," Hylla said nodding towards Jakob, which made the girl called Kinzie to look at him, and coyly smile.

Kinzie had nymph-like features similar to Maya, but she had light brown hair and light green eyes. She looked to be around his age. Then Jakob remembered that she was one of the girls that he saved from a particular pirate.

"Ah, yes. Our hero. He did save me too. I think he deserves rewards, don't you think?" She said in a rather seductive tone, one he knew all too well as this wasn't the first time girls had spoken to him in such a tone.

Hylla stepped up and, before Jakob could even say a word, pressed her lips against his. The son of Thor stiffened in surprise as the girl wrapped her arms around the back of his neck, slowly and passionately kissing him, even sticking her tongue into his mouth due to his surprise. The kiss lasted about six seconds before she pulled away with a smile, leaving Jakob a stunned, gaping mess.

"W-wha-" he got out, before Kinzie stepped up, holding his face gently.

"Come on, hero," she teased. "Accept your reward with a straight face, at least." With that, she proceeded to kiss him the same way that Hylla did. The kiss lasted longer than the last one, before Kinzie stepped back, a smirk on her face as Jakob was, impossibly, blushing even more than before.

"I-" Before he could even get another word out, he received another kiss, this time on the cheek. It seemed Maya had stepped up, deciding to kiss him on the cheek. Good thing, too. If he got one more kiss on the lips, he might've fainted. As Maya stepped back, Jakob had a stupid grin on his face. That felt nice, he thought to himself.

What? He's a thirteen-year old boy who just got kissed on the lips by two pretty girls, even though it wasn't the first time he's kissed a girl. No, he had his first kiss long ago... he wasn't even a virgin!

"I think our hero likes his rewards. How cute," Kinzie smirked, making Jakob break out of his daydreaming.

"Yes, it seems he does," Hylla agreed, a coy smile on her face.

As he shook himself from his thoughts, he looked around to see the group gathered and all looking towards them. All were girls and were a mixture of what he guessed was demigod's girls and nymphs. They were all looking at him in gratitude. Thank the gods that they didn't kiss him. He probably couldn't handle it.

"So what exactly do we do now?" One of the girls asked, looking at Jakob expectantly. "Our home has been destroyed."

"Well..." he spoke as he began to think. He looked around, finding nothing that could help these girls sail across to the mainland... and he doubted they'd make it there safely if they went through the Sea of Monsters. Plus he had a quest to continue. "Shit."

"We'll handle it." Hylla assured him with a smile "Hopefully my mom will hear my prayer."

"And your mother is...?" Jakob trailed off.

"Bellona, Goddess of War."

'Of the Roman pantheon, right.' Jakob thought, nodding in response. His attention came back to Hylla when her smile became sadder.]

"Guess this is goodbye, hero." She said in a sad tone.

"I'm sure we'll see each other again." Jakob said reassuringly, though he really couldn't promise that. He had heard that the Olympians separated the Greek and Roman demigods after a war between them resulted in a lot of casualties. However, he'd probably need to find the Roman camp, Camp Jupiter, in order to find these girls... depending on if they are Roman or Greek

Reyna then stepped forward and the quiet girl hugged him. "Thank you for saving me."

"No problem," Jakob muttered softly. After a few seconds they both ended the hug.

No words had to be said as Jakob just smiled at her and nodded before Reyna rejoined her sister and held her hand. The two older girls looked like they wanted to do the same but Jakob quickly beat them to it when he began to speak.

"Maya, you said earlier that there was three people that came to island yesterday and were responsible for this mess. Which direction did they go in?"

"Uhhh..." Maya looked off into the distance, and pointed near the right of where they were currently. "Just right of here, roughly. Why?"

"They're my friends and I've been looking for them since we got separated. There's also another girl I'm looking for, though it sounds like she isn't with them." Jakob said with a frown. How did Andromeda, Annabeth and Tyson get separate from Clarisse?

"Your friends with them?" Reyna asked looking a little stern as he nodded.

Yeah. I understand that you may hate them for what they did, and I can't blame you. I apologise on their behalf," Jakob said, with Hylla waving her hand dismissively.

"You don't need to apologise for them. However, I hope you don't blame me for not wishing them well as they sail onwards," she said with a hint of anger in her tone.

"I don't blame you," Jakob said. He honestly couldn't blame them for despising Andromeda and the others. In their minds, and it was the truth, they turned the men back to normal and ran off without thinking of the consequences of leaving pirates on an island filled with women. He was going to have words with Andromeda and Annabeth when he saw them again. "When I meet them, they'll hear it from me how foolish their actions were."

"You had better or I will be taking a spear and shoving it where the sun does not shine to them," Hylla suggested which was back up by the other girls. Jakob shivered at the threat. Damn, those guys really screwed up, didn't they?

"Right then." Jakob looked around before looking at the girls. "Take care of yourselves, girls, and I hope you get somewhere safely in the mainland soon."

"Thank you, Jakob, you will always be our hero," Hylla and Kinzie said together, making him smile a little while Reyna settled with a simple wave and a smile. Jakob stepped back, gave them a wink, before he blasted off into the air

And that's it for this chapter. Looks like Jakob's met a couple of Romans, and he got some kisses out of it. And yes, Jakob has been kissed by girls before... and he's also had sex. That will be explained later on.

What else? Oh! And the Shinto God of the Sea showed up. Yeah, I plan for Jakob to meet other gods of different pantheons and maybe learn more than simply lightning. He is Odin's grandson after all, and has a desire for knowledge himself... but not for the same purposes as Odin. Jakob would rather learn knowledge of other powers to protect his friends and himself against the Gods and monsters, not for sinister intentions.
