BIRD0FHERMES: If I was getting paid for new chapters, I'd be dishing them out at an alarming rate. But either way, I try to go for a daily update with all my stories and to do that I need to work on them, which can take a few days for me to get up to a suitable amount.
superpierce: Every boy goes through it, but because Jakob was raised and trained harshly to become a warrior, he never thought he'd have to deal with such a thing, that it would just pass easily. It also helped him confirm the fact he has feelings for others girls beyond Silena.

With the fact Jakob would be leaving the camp until the next time he decides to come back, Thalia was insistent on getting another spar in with him before he left. Jakob agreed, figuring he might as well since he's been helping Thalia out and hopefully she's in more control of herself compared to the last few spars they had when she still didn't like him due to being jealous.
Right now, both lighting-powered demigods were in the arena. Since they would be sparring with spears, as Jakob had decided Thalia wasn't ready to fight him while he's using the Leviathan Axe like it was a real fight. He'll save that for when he comes back, and hopes to see she has made progress on her training before he takes over. But anyway, they were going to use spears for this fight.
Thalia took out her canister and formed her spear while Jakob took a practice spear that felt right in his hands. Mentally counting down, both teens charged, spears ready.
Meeting each other's charge, Thalia quickly sweeped at his feet using the end of her spear. Blocking with his own end, Jakob twirled his spear in his hands, going for a stab that became a feint and quickly went for a quick slash with the tip. Thalia, however, intercepted the strike and kept on pressuring him, forcing him to defend and dodge quickly.
Both of them decided against using their powers, wanting to see how their skills would fare against each other.
As the two fought, they became aware that they had gathered a crowd. Jakob ignored it in favour of sparring, but got a little pissed when one guy, probably from Ares' cabin, yelled out, "Yeah! Kick his ass, girl!"
"Yeah!" another boy called out. "Make him suffer!"
"Beat him black and blue!"
"Kick him in the balls!"
"Skewer him!"
"Why the hell are you guys against me?!" Jakob yelled, briefly throwing Thalia off from trying to get into a hold and kept moving his spear, making Thalia eye his weapon and to give him distance.
"This is payback for you kicking our asses in spars!" a kid called out, who apparently was from the Hermes' cabin.
"Yeah! We deserve the revenge of you getting your ass kicked painfully!" an Ares kid agreed.
There was cheering from the crowd, cries of "Humiliate him!" "Avenge us!" "Gain our pride back!" rang amongst the crowd.
Thalia smirked hearing the chants heading her way. "Guess I got the support of the crowd. Even they agree that you need to be humbled, Thunder Head."
Jakob rolled his eyes. "Not my fault I was trained to be a ruthless warrior while they were training to play dress-up." He ignored the angry shouts from the spectators. He kept on attacking, thrusting and swiping, his strikes becoming increasingly stronger and faster as Thalia was kept on the edge.
Swinging his weapon, Jakob made to knock Thalia off her feet, but the daughter of Zeus jumped. She tried to slam the pole of her spear on his midsection, but he managed to roll away in time.
He ended up in a crouch, his spear held firmly. Opting for a different tactic, Jakob made a quick dash, not using super speed but moving faster than average, and slammed the end of his spear in the ground, pole-vaulting towards Thalia.
She was surprised, but managed to react quickly by moving out of the way. However, mid-flight, he swung his spear like a bat, cracking her upside the face a little harshly.
The crowd ooohed, but didn't say anything else. Jakob made to disarm her, but Thalia was tougher than he thought. She managed to block his strike, despite having a bruise on the side of her head.
She glared, breathing heavily through her nose. "That was dirty."
"It was strategy," Jakob corrected. "Although I didn't expect you to recover from that so quickly."
"Unlike you, I don't need to rely on dirty tricks to win," Thalia sneered.
Jakob shook his head. "In a real fight, it's kill or be killed. There's no rules, no 'dirty tactics'. I don't believe in any of that honour in a fight shit. If you're fighting, then you fight to survive, to win. Be lucky I'm not treating this like an actual fight or it'd be a lot different."
"WHat? You think I can't take it?" Thalia retorted.
"Not until you've proven to me that you can." Jakob said calmly, twirling his spear. "But don't worry, soon enough, I'll be taking you under my wing and training you to be an actual fighter rather than what I've seen."
Thalia narrowed her eyes. "Is that an insult?"
"Take it as you wish." Jakob said with a small smirk.
Thalia growled and lunged, jabbing her spear forward. Jakob sidestepped, but Thalia anticipated this and swung her spear out, the sharp end cutting through Jakob's shirt and leaving a cut across it but not touching Jakob's skin.
"Damn it." Jakob sighed and ripped his shirt off, exposing his muscular, tattooed upper body. The girls in the crowd, which includes the likes of Andromeda, Annabeth, Katie, Silena, several daughters of Apollo, Demeter, Hermes, and Aphrodite began to look him up and down with lust or drool.
"Damn, boy! Give me some of that!" a girl from the crowd whistled, leering at his six pack and tattoos that made him look a little more sexier. He received more catcalls and whistles from appreciative girls.
Almost all of the girls had blushes and drooled at Jakob's exposed upper body. He was muscular, but not bulky like he was trying to be some kind of bodybuilder. But everyone could see he had the body of a literal God. His arms obviously had a lot of power in them. His pectoral muscles were chiselled and defined, and his abs looked large enough to fit a small hand in them, and looked sharp enough to cut through diamond. To add to the look, his Nordic tattoos on his arms and back made him appear more sexier in their eyes. The guys looked on in jealousy.
Looking at Thalia's blushing and slightly leering face, he grinned. "You know, if you wanted a show, I would've given you one," he teased. This got the girl to splutter and blush even more. Seeing her distracted, Jakob took the chance to disarm her and held her at spear-point. "Yield?" he asked triumphantly.
This got her to snap out of her trance and glare at him. "You cheated!"
Jakob raised a brow. "Did I not just say there are no rules in a fight? Are you going to tell an enemy they cheated when they use a similar tactic? No. In a real fight for survival, you resort to anything in order to win and survive. Understand?"
Thalia looked down, contemplating it, then she looked at him and nodded. "Yeah."
"Good." Jakob took his spear away and held a hand out to her, which she took and he pulled her to her feet. "If you want me to take you seriously, Thalia, you have to prove it. The reason I haven't trained anyone is because I need them to prove they can handle it and take it seriously. And I have been watching as they do their own training, but I haven't seen enough yet. I'm hoping, that when I come back from my job, you'll be ready for my kind of training."
"We will. I guarantee it." Thalia said firmly, determined to prove herself, that she could handle whatever he'd throw at her. If he can help her train her demigod powers to become stronger and greater than they are right now, then she was all in for it.
Jakob nodded and watched her leave before he turned to the crowd and raised a brow. "Stop your staring and get lost."
There were loud groans, both from those who wanted to see him lose and from the girls who wanted to continue staring at him, but they finally left. Leaving only one person standing.
Smirking at the person, Jakob put his practice spear back in the rack and went towards the person. "Did you enjoy the show?" he asked the person standing teasingly.
Silena smirked at him, but mostly staring at his upper body. "I'm already enjoying it now," she said, looking at his tattoos.
Using his finger to tip her head up, he smiled knowingly. "My eyes are up here, you know."
"I know," she said, reaching out and rubbing her hands against his abs, making Jakob get goosebumps on his body from her contact. "You know," she said with a seductive purr, "while I don't mind the fact that you like Thalia, what I don't like is the fact that she practically undressed you and got a free show." Her purr gave way to a slightly possessive growl. "As well as the fact that you were practically a piece of meat in the eyes of the other girls. Remember, this-" Silena made a show of rubbing her body around his body, making Jakob groan slightly as he liked what she was doing, "-is mine and only for my eyes until I say otherwise. You understand, mister?"
"Oh? And what are you going to do if I disobey, Ms. Beauragard?" Jakob asked teasingly, purposefully pushing her buttons.
Narrowing her eyes, Silena smirked seductively. "Well, Mr. Thorsson, I'll just have to convince you." And with that, Silena grabbed Jakob by his belt and pulled him towards her with surprising strength. Following her movements, Jakob leaned down and kissed her, loving the soft feel of her lips against his.
Feeling his loins stir, Jakob wrapped his arms around her waist, grabbing her perfectly-shaped ass in his hands. Silena, meanwhile, moaned and rubbed her hands around his muscled torso, savouring each feel of his body.
Before they could go any further, Jakob stepped back from the kiss and practically carried Silena to his cabin using his flight. As soon as they entered, hormones ruled.
Jakob stood in his cabin, putting on a new shirt which covered up the hickey he had on his neck thanks to Silena. He had a stupid grin on his face just thinking about her.
When he had made it to his cabin, he and Silena basically pounced on each other. They kissed, groped, clawed, twisted and turned... Jakob grinned happily thinking about it. They didn't have sex but they did foreplay, which was enough. Jakob was really glad that he had a girlfriend. He had given Silena matching hickeys on her collarbones, as a sort of payback for her giving him them, and found out her weak spots that gave her pleasure. Which Jakob saved for later.
Silena had to return to her cabin, but not before teasing by swaying her hips and showcasing her big and round ass. Jakob drooled just thinking about it and how it felt in his hands.
Right now, the son of Thor was holding the dragon pendant given to him by Ryūjin. He had been thinking about this and decided it was time he contact the Shinto God, who's probably been waiting long enough but Jakob has been busy since the end of the Sea of Monsters quest a month ago. If Ryūjin could teach him how to wield water, even though he had no affinity to water as he wasn't the son of a water-based god, it could still be of great use.
Plus, whatever he learns, he could help Andromeda learn it as well.
He clenched the pendant, and a water vapour came out of it which started to form like an Iris image shown was centred near Japanese waters.
The being who he wanted to talk to came into view. "Well, well, look who's finally decided to contact me!" Ryūjin announced, though he was surprised. "Surprised to see you, kid. Been busy?"
"Yeah, something like that." Jakob nodded. "Lord Ryūjin, you said you had something to offer me should I contact you after I was done in the Sea of Monsters. May I ask what the offer is?"
The Shinto God grinned. "I was hoping you'd ask. While I wouldn't offer this to anyone, but for you I'll make an exception because I'm curious and interested in your path. Tell me Jakob... aren't you curious on what it would be like to control the element of water?"
"Yeah." Jakob nodded.
"Well then, there's my offer. And who knows, I may not be the only Shinto god curious about you... though I really should've kept my mouth shut about you when I spoke to Susanoo and Amaterasu." Ryūjin pinched the bridge of his nose. "So... don't be surprised if they show up during my training you. But hey, if there;s any two of my fellow gods you'd want to take an interest in you, it would be those two."
Jakob frowned. "Why would they? They have no reason."
"Hey, it's like the same reason that I am. A Norse demigod interacting with different pantheons, defying all expectations of him especially since he's the son of Thor. Plus, we gods need something to entertain ourselves, and we rarely get demigods from other pantheons to interact with. But you also have to show that, should Susanoo or Amaterasu take interest and maybe allow you to use their domains, you have to ensure they aren't wasting their time with you. You want more power? Interacting with different gods but not wasting their time is the key to it."
"Alright, you've made your point." Jakob nodded. "I'll take you up on your offer. I just have one question."
"Shoot."
"When do we start?"
And that's it for this chapter. Man, trying to give a sensible reason for Jakob to interact with other gods, and for them to take interest in him, is hard. Jakob wants more power to protect himself and his friends, and also because he has a desire for knowledge like Odin, but if he wants to earn blessings from other gods and be allowed to use more than lightning, then he has to make sure they wouldn't be wasting their time with him.
While lightning would be his natural go-to power, he could learn to wield other elements like water and fire. I know this makes him seem like he's becoming overpowered... but a key thing in God of War was Kratos getting different weapons and powers, so I'm sticking with that.
