It was later that night, Mal and Evie had made their way to Jay and Carlos' room and were lounging around when a knock sounded on their door. The boys paused as Mal went to go open it. It revealed Sophia, dressed in black jeans, matching heeled boots and a long-sleeved teal turtleneck. Her hair was pulled into a messy ponytail while her nautilus necklace rested against her sternum. "What took you so long!" Mal hissed, grabbing Sophia's sleeve and tugging her into the room. The Princess stumbled forward into the clearly darker boys room.
"Ok, first of all, don't touch." Sophia scolded, pulling her arm from Mal's grip and dusting her sleeve off. "And secondly, do you know how hard it is to cast three separate corporeal illusion spells? It takes enhanced concentration. Your lucky Melody is taking over when we leave." Sophia then turned to Jay and Carlos who were frozen in shock. "Mal, you didn't tell them? Well, I always strive for a surprise." Sophia slid into an open seat, crossing her legs, one over the other. "I'm going to be helping you all with this...little plan Maleficent has devised."
"And you now about this how?" Jay asked. Sophia smirked, tapping her head.
"Precognitive Dreams. Now, can we get on with this please?" Sophia folded her hands and rested her elbows on the table, leaning her chin on her joint hands. "I'd like to have enough sleep for school tomorrow." Mal and Evie claimed the other two seats at the table.
"Evie, Mirror me." Mal ordered. Evie pulled out a small mirror from her pocket. Sophia eyed the magical object in the bluenett's hand.
"Mirror Mirror on the...in my hand. Where is Fairy Godmother's wand...stand?" Evie asked. The surface of the mirror shone before a picture of the Fairy Godmother's Magic Wand appeared on its surface.
"Zoom out." Carlos said, leaning forward into Sophia's space. The girl leaned back, away from him, scowling.
"Magic Mirror, not so close." The Mirror zoomed out to show the globe."Closer." It showed the continent as Carlos typed something into the computer, "Closer." It showed the country, "Closer!" The mirror showed a building with a sign of it. The Museum of Cultural History.
"Hmm." Sophia murmured, "I never expected them to keep her wand there." She then stood, "Come now, I'll show you the way."
TIMESKIP
Pretty soon (after Sophia had reluctantly cast two more illusions for the boys) the group of unlikely thieves arrived at the museum. "Check your mirror." Mal whispered to her blue-haired friend as the group ran towards the entrance. Mal and Evie leading, with Jay and Carlos behind them with Sophia bringing up the rear.
"Is my mascara smudged?" Evie asked, holding the Mirror to her face, observing herself.
"Yeah. While you're at it, how's 'bout you find us the wand!"
"Sure! This way!" Evie said, running off in a different direction. The group made it to a set of doors, the entrance. They gazed inside the room. Sophia smirked, her eyes glinting dangerously at all of the magical artifacts that were displayed within the museum. The Genie Lamp (That currently heald no genie), King Beast's Enchanted Rose, Cinderella's Glass Slipper. Sophia's eyes fell to one particular item, the main source of power for the former King of Atlantica.
"The Trident." Sophia whispered, pressing her hand against the glass, "It's hereā¦" The security guard turned in his seat. Jay and Carlos ducked to the left, Mal and Evie scampered off to the right while Sophia ducked down. After a second or two, the group returned to their original positions. In the middle of the room, one particular item was displayed as clear as day, an old spinning wheel from a particular Dark Fey's story.
"That's your mother's spinning wheel?" Jay laughed,
"Yeah, it's kinda dorky." Carlos added,
"It's magic, it doesn't have to look scary!" Mal defended, as she brought out her spellbook. "Magic spindle, do not linger, make my victim prick a finger." She commanded, the security guard just turned to gaze at the Spindle, not paying attention to the five children spying on him.
"Impressive." Jay said sarcastically.
"I got chills!" Carlos remarked, holding up his arm. Both boys chuckled.
"Ok, you know what." Mal lifted her book again. "Prick the finger, brick it deep, send my enemy off to sleep." She read. The guard slowly stood up and admired the spindle. He then raised his finger to the point and pricked his finger. He let out a yawn, laid down on the dias the spindle was sitting on and promptly fell asleep. "Not so dorky now huh?" Mal taunted as she gripped the door handle and tried to open it. It was obviously locked.
"Stand back." Jay said smugly, turning to make a running start. Sophia's eyes flashed blue.
"Make it easy, make it quick, open up without a kick." Sophia changed. The doors flew open, just as Jay went to kick them open. He launched himself at the doors, but promptly fell on his butt in the middle of the entryway. Mal laughed as she and Evie strolled in.
"You coming?" Mal asked, kicking the boy as she passed him. When the group had made their way past the sleeping guard, they made their way to the Gallery of Villains. Sophia, however, passed them. "Where are you going?" Mal hissed at her. Sophia turned and started to walk backwards.
"I didn't see myself with you in my dreams after this point." Sophia told her, still walking, "There's something else I need to get." Sophia then turned on her heel and tan down the hall. Sophia made her way to one of the halls that were dedicated solely to Atlantican artifacts and royalty. Sophia's smirk grew on her face as she slowly approached the one artifact in the middle of the room. King Triton's Trident. She ascended the steps leading up to it one at a time.
Sophia -
Finally the moment I was hoping would come
The moment mother realized she chose the right one
There isn't any curse I could cast to match this feeling
The pain she knew when Eric turned his back on her heart
Shall continue to grow as her life falls apart
Suddenly my future's looking more appealing
Once I was filled with rage
Now I enjoy the ride
It's so electrifying
Watching all those lives deprived
Oh I will glide into tomorrow
My cousin full of sorrow, finally paying for her sins
I'll smile all the while she is crying
Inside she's slowly dying
Learning wicked always wins
Oh evil may be powerful
But wicked always wins
If Grandpa saw me now he would ache with regret
'Cause he'd witness all the glory wickedness gets
He went and made Triton King and banished Mother
But that's all history
Time they all understood
What they call green with envy
I just call looking good
Oh I will glide into tomorrow
My cousin full of sorrow finally paying for her sins
I'll smile all the while she is crying
Inside she's slowly dying
Learning wicked always wins
Oh evil may be powerful
But wicked always-
Wait, why just revel in her demise
When I can use it to my advantage?
I'll give her a magic gift to bring the Kingdom down
When Ariel stands there, horrified, I'll swoop right into town
When she learns the spells were mine
Oh Mother, she will see did right choosing me
So I will glide into tomorrow
Delighting in Triton's sorrow as a better day begins
This time nobody's gonna stop me
No evil's gonna taunt me
Oh wicked always wins
Their happy endings will be mine
'Cause wicked always wins
Sophia reached out, taking the Trident from its perch. Sophia grinned as she felt the power wash over her. The Trident in her hand became sleeker, the gold becoming a wicked silver. Sophia willed the trident to become something of a hair comb, with the body becoming the prongs to slide into her hair while the main spikes became a small design at the top. Sophia then jumped, scowling as an alarm sounded through the entire building. Sophia quickly slid the comb into her hair and raced out of the exhibit. She met up with the group just as they were exiting the building.
"Way to go Jay!" Mal scolded. "Now we have to go to school tomorrow!"
TIMESKIP
After returning to school, Sophia snuck back into her room. Despite it being late at night, Melody was still awake. Their room was very similar on both sides, both had large, four-poster beds with cloth hanging from each side, sea-like artifacts and seafaring objects were littered around the room. On Sophia's bed, a lump was rising and falling slowly. Melody looked up from the book she was reading when Sophia walked in. "Did you get it?" Melody asked, as the lump slowly flattened as the bed became still again. "The Wand?"
"Oh no, Havskat, I found something far more interesting." Sophia replied. Sophia took the comb out of her hair and let the Trident form in her hand. Sophia grinned, setting the but of it into the shaggy carpet below her boots.
"You found it?" Melody breathed, standing and walking over to her sister. The Black Haired girl ran her fingers over the silver surface. "You know what this means, Vandmanden, we have all the power, we can take over Atlantica now."
"Not yet, dear sister." Sophia said, gripping the Trident, "There is more to come, you can feel it, can you not." Sophia let the Trident return to it's hair-comb form and slipped it back into her hair, "We just need to wait."
