One day, after the Tourney game, Doug, Evie, Melody and Sophia had a science exam. Their class sat in silence, dutifully compleating our exam. Sophia glared over at Evie as the blue-haired girl was rummaging through her bag. "Looking for something?" Mr Deley asked, causing the Princess to lift her head as Evie snapped her bag closed, looking up as well. Mr Deley pulled out a small mirror from his pocket. Melody glared at Evie, silently chastising the other girl for bringing such a powerful Magical Item into class. "Thank you, Chad, it's gratifying to see someone still respects the honour code." Evie gave Chad a harsh, harsh glare, to which he just smugly smiled back. "It would be my recommendation that you are expelled."

"Mister Deley, I-" Evie started.

"But that isn't fair!" Doug interrupted, scrambling to his feet, "Obviously she wasn't cheating since she didn't have that...whatever-it-is."

"It's called a Magic-"

"Quiet!" Sophia hissed at her. "Not. Helping."

"Maybe she needed another pencil." Doug suggested.

"Actually, I was-" Evie started again.

"Shh!" Melody growled, glaring at Evie.

"Please." Doug pleaded.

"Please…?" Evie echoed.

"Well, if you can pass this test, I'll return your property and let the matter drop." Mr Deley conceded.

TIMESKIP

Later that day, Sophia and Melody found themselves in Mal and Evie's room, helping the Daughter of Maleficent prepare for a date. Evie was applying makeup while the twins sat on the opposite bed. "Ok, easy on the blush." Mal said, pushing Evie's down slightly, "I don't want to scare him away. Not that I could."

"Please. My mum taught me how to apply blush before I could talk." Evie said, continuing her previous work on Mal's cheeks. "Always use upward strokes." She finished handed me the blush and its corresponding blush.

"My mother never gave me makeup tips, and I never had a sister."

"Well, now you do." Evie stated. "Were going to need all the family we can get if we don't pull this off. My mother isn't a barrel of laughs when she doesn't get her way." She sighed, "Just ask Snow White."

"Are you afraid of your mum?" Mal asked Evie.

"Sometimes." Evie replied, "Are you afraid of your mum?" Mal paused.

"I just want her to be proud of me." She said, "She gets so angry with me when I disappoint her. And sh-yeah, she's my mum, so I know she loves me...in her own way. How about you, Sophia? Melody? Any parent stories you wanna share?"

"Our mother isn't 'loving' per say." Melody started, crossing her arms. "She loves us yes, that much is obvious."

"Her love is shown more through actions rather than words." Sophia continued. "Our father, on the other hand, is more physically affectionate. You'll see him on Family day and you'll understand why we gravitated more towards our mother." There was a pause as the four girls mulled over what we each had said. Evie then pulled Mal from her seat and dragged her over to the mirror. Mal gave a short laugh, tugging the ends of her jacket.

"I know." Evie said, leaning her head on Mal's shoulder.

"I look…"

"Say it."

"Not hideous."

"Not even close.". Evie gave Mal one last squeeze before leaving her to admire herself more. Then there was a knock at the door. Mal walked over to the door and opened it to reveal Ben. He had two helmets tucked underneath his arms. He stared at Mal for a couple of seconds before speaking,

"For the first time, I understand the difference between pretty and beautiful." Ben stated. Sophia snorted, and Melody elbowed her sister to stay quiet. "I hope you like bikes." Mal took a helmet from Ben and turned to Evie, Sophia and Melody, giving them a look that said. 'Wish me luck'. Evie pranced forward and closed the door.

"Let's hope she gets close enough to get the wand." Sophia stated, crossing her arms. "Otherwise this would be just a big waste of time."
