"It can't be." Someone whispered.

"Go away, Mother." Mal pleaded, fearfully glancing between Maleficent and Sophia.

"She's funny." Mal's mother snorted. "You're very funny." Maleficent turned and offered a hand to Sophia. "Wand me. Chop chop."

"No." Sophia said. Maleficent's face fell into a mask of rage.

"No? Do you know who I am?"

"Of course I know who you are. You're a decrepit old Fae who has long since been thwarted."

"You insolent little-" Maleficent snarled. She lifted her sceptre and shot a beam of green magic towards Sophia. The white-haired girl raised both the Trident and Wand, creating a barrier around her that shimmered gold and teal. The green Magic rebounded off the shield and directly to Maleficent, who was encased in a green mist once more. There was a clatter as Maleficent's sceptre fell to the floor. The mist condensed to a small object on the floor. A tiny purple lizard sat on the blue carpet, letting out weak cries at her small stature. A figure clad in red swept forward, snatched the sceptre off the ground. Melody appeared next to Sophia, gripping the black wood tight.

"Sophia, Melody." Beast trailed off. "Thank you for-"

"Silence!" Melody screamed, slamming the but of the sceptre on the ground. The green gem of the Dragon's eye turned a deep crimson and a red wave of magic swept over the cathedral inhabitants. Everyone bar the VK's in the middle of the room were surrounded by a pale red glow, frozen in place. "Sophia isn't done talking."

"You know, I really thought you had it in you." Sophia laughed. "The daughter of Maleficent? I mean come on, you're the toughest on the Isle right? Then again...our mother is the only one who actually won."
"You're Monsters." Evie accused.

"We're not monsters." Melody snarled. "We're far from it. You're weak. You always were-"

"And now I command, wand to my hand!" Mal exclaimed.

"What!" Sophia exclaimed as the Wand was encased in a gold light and ripped itself out of Sophia's grasp, flying through the air to land in Mal's palm.

"It worked!" Mal gasped.

"I hardly doubt that thing could withstand both the Sceptre and the Trident." Melody taunted. "You're at a disadvantage. Now." Sophia extended her hand. "Hand it over."

"Hold on Mal, maybe good really is more powerful than evil." Carlos suggested, stepping up next to the purple-haired girl.

"Maybe it used to, but not anymore." Jay darted forward to try and snatch the Sceptre of Melody, but the black-haired girl waved the sceptre and knocked him back.

"Leave my friends alone!" Mal exclaimed, stalking forward to face the sisters. "This is between me and the two of you." Mal's eyes turned green as she started to chant. "The strength of evil is good as none, when stands before four hearts as one. The strength of evil is-"

"I'm going to stop you right there." Sophia interrupted. She lifted the Trident and it shone teal for a moment. Four identical balls of light formed in the throats of Mal, Evie, Jay and Carlos. They escaped through their mouths and shot towards Sophia. The white-haired girl held out her palm and the four voices of her former allies floated above her fingers. "That's better. Now, do you really think that you four share an unbreakable bond? Until a month ago, Mal was the worst friend imaginable. She banished you from the Isle because of a missed birthday invitation." Sophia said to Evie. "And then she tried to put you under a Sleeping Curse. Carlos, she tortured you for ages and stepped on your toes constantly. And Jay, she was barely even your friend. She didn't care for any of you until you were useful. The bonds you share are flimsy at best. And-" Sophia's eyes glazed over.

"Vandmanden?" Melody questioned. "What do you see?"

"It's not our time." Sophia muttered to her. Sophia lifted her hand to Melody. Melody grasped her sister's hand and her eyes too unfocused. It was a moment before they released each other's hands. "You're lucky." Sophia said to the four voiceless 'heros'. "It's not time for us." Sophia lifted her hand and gave back the voices to Mal and her friends.

"We'll stop you still." Evie stated when her voice returned. "We know you're Evil."

"No you won't." Both Sophia and Melody lifted their respective weapons and slammed them onto the ground, creating a flash of white light that blinded the VK's.
