Cotillion seemingly went off without a hitch. The party was in full swing when Mal was introduced to the people in her Isle-esque blue and gold gown. Things went wrong when after Ben was introduced…Morgan stepped out from behind the wall, appearing at the top of the stairs. They were wearing an emerald green jumpsuit that sparkled under the lamplight, with a skirt-like train wrapped around their waist and trailing behind them. Their arms were adorned with gold jewellery, with a gold and emerald hairpiece against the shaved part of their head. "I'm sorry." Ben apologised as Morgan approached Ben and Mal. "It all happened so fast. Something happened to me when I was on the Isle, with Morgan, a connection."
"What are you saying?" Mal questioned.
"I'm saying-"
"It was love." Morgan cut in. "I don't know, In a moment I just…" Morgan turned to Ben. "I realised how similar Ben and I are."
"We are." Ben agreed softly.
"I know."
"You're so beautiful."
"Ben." Mal interrupted. "Ben. Did you go back for them?"
"He didn't." Morgan turned to Mal. "Before the barrier closed, I managed to dive through as it shut behind you. And I'm a pretty good swimmer so…"
"You are." Ben said, smiling at Morgan. Morgan stepped forward, taking Mal's hands in their own.
"I just wanted to thank you, Mal." They started. "For everything you've done." Morgan then pulled the daughter of Maleficent into a hug. They let go of Mal and smiled as Ben moved forward.
"Don't you see Mal?" Ben said. "You were right. You knew that...we weren't meant to be together. That's why you never told me that you love me." Morgan then handed their purse to a guest with a small smile before stepping toward Ben and starting to dance. Evie pulled her best friend back toward the guests. Unbeknownst to everyone, a red and teal fog started to creep over the water.
"Not too thrilled, I risked my life for him." Carlos commented. Lonnie came up behind Mal.
"Were with you, Mal." She promised. Jay moved up to Mal's other side.
"Let's get out of here." He said.
"Ok." Mal breathed. Mal was led past Morgan and Ben as the group went to leave. When they reached Beast and Belle, the royal couple stopped her.
"Mal." Beast started.
"Honey we are so sorry, we had no idea." Belle apologised.
"I'm gonna talk to him."
"Lumiere! Unveil the gift! They need to see it!" Jane exclaimed, rushing up to the former candelabra.
"And now, for the unveiling of King Ben's masterpiece!" Lumiere called, "Designed especially for his lady." Lumiere gestured to Mal. The group turned and Mal's breath escaped her. On display was a stained glass portrait of Mal and Ben, the daughter of Maleficent in a gorgeous purple gown and flowing purple hair with vivid green eyes. Everyone applauded the art, and Ben stepped forward to take a closer look at the stained glass.
"Ben did that?" Mal breathed.
"Yeah." Evie said. Mal started to descend the stairs with her best friend beside her. .
"Ben's known who I was all along.."
"He loves the real you Mal."
"A true love." Mal whispered.
"Told you." Carlos commented. Morgan's face fell into a mask of rage as she turned to Lumier.
"Cover that back up!" Morgan ordered.
"I will not!" Lumiere said hotly. Morgan calmed their face, plastering a grin as they turned to Ben,
"Well, in that case." Morgan stepped closer to Ben, taking his hand. "Why don't you tell everyone here what your present is for me?"
"I have an announcement!" Ben declared as he pulled Morgan closer. "Morgan will be joining the court tonight, as my Consort."
"Son-" Beast started,
"Not now dad!" Ben shouted at him. He looked confused for a second before regaining his composure, "So as my gift, uh, to them, I'm bringing down the barrier once and for all!" Whispers broke out among the guests. "Fairy Godmother, bring down the barrier."
"I most certainly will not." Fairy Godmother argued.
"I am your King!"
"Obey his orders." Morgan added. A light seemed to go off in Mal's head.
"Ben's been spelled!" She gasped.
"Morgan found your Spellbook." Evie realised. Mal looked at the stained glass window before walking forward a bit.
"Ben." She started. "Ben." Mal walked forward more so she was standing next to Morgan. Ben turned his gaze to me. "Look at me."
"No!" Morgan interrupted, "Look at me. You love me remember?" Ben's eyes flicked between Mal and Morgan.
"No, you do not."
"Yes, you do."
"Ben, please look at me." Ben focused his eyes on me.
"You heard him, bring down the barrier, now!" Morgan shouted at Fairy Godmother.
"I do not take orders from you!" Fairy Godmother exclaimed.
"Ben?" Morgan focused on the king once more, green eyes glinting dangerously.
"Ben, I never told you that I loved you because I thought that I wasn't good enough." Mal admitted to Ben. "And I thought that it was only a matter of time before you realized that yourself. But, Ben, that's me!" Mal gestured to the stained glass window. "I'm part Isle and part Auradon." Morgan gripped grabbed Ben's arm.
"Ben, eyes over here." They ordered.
"And, Ben, you've always known who we were and who we can be."
"Don't listen to her." Morgan said forcefully.
"Ben, I know what love feels like now." Mal continued. "Ben, of course I love you. Ben, I've always loved you." Mal then cupped the back of Ben's head, closing her eyes as she pressed their lips together. They separated after a moment, Ben's eyes flickering open as they focused on Mal and his face broke into a grin.
"Mal." He muttered. Mal returned the smile, pressing their foreheads together.
"True love's kiss." Evie sighed. "Works every time." Mal agreed. Morgan snarled. They turned and raced up to Fairy Godmother.
"Give me the wand!" They ordered.
"Guards! Seise them!" Fairy Godmother exclaimed, raising the wand away from the Sea Sorcerer. Morgan grit their teeth, backing away. They backed towards a railing and pulled themselves onto it.
"Stop, please!" Mal begged, rushing up to Morgan who turned to the purple-haired girl "Morgan, I know you. You are so much more than just a villain. And you have to believe me, because I've been there. Do not let your pride get in the way of something that you really want."
"My pride isn't in my way." Morgan said as they pushed themselves to their feet. "And it's not me you have to worry about." Twin water geysers burst on either side of the ship, dousing the partygoers in cold ocean water. "It's them."
