Chapter 9

Since the term started a few weeks ago, students and faculty have had a few weeks to get used to each other. In general, everyone was comfortable with the routine that they had established. Hermione has felt better in the past couple of weeks with fewer headaches and dizziness as a result of taking the B12 and iron supplements. Moreover, Severus has been keeping an eye on his wife, making sure that if there are any signs of distress or discomfort, he will take action to remedy them as soon as possible.

As he watches Amelia's life at Hogwarts unfold, he notices that she has become more outgoing with her friends and that she has learned how to fly easily. As Mr. Longbottom was in the hospital wing towards the end of the first lesson, he was concerned about the quality of the lessons. Seeing how similar his situation is to his father's, he could not help but think about how strange it is. 'The apple doesn't fall far from the tree I suppose.' He thought to himself. Diggory came to him a few days ago and apologized profusely.

"It is not your fault Madam Diggory. Accidents happen when flying." Severus reassured. He was determined to help Diggory see that she shouldn't be too hard on herself.

"A student was injured on my watch, Headmaster. I feel awful. I want to make sure that I take full responsibility for this incident. I accept the consequences of my actions and will do whatever is necessary to make things right." Her eyes looked up at him. Trying to demonstrate sincerity in her apology.

"I don't want you to doubt your teaching abilities. Keeping a Longbottom from injury is a tough challenge in itself. His father was the same way." Severus responded.

She asked, "Oh really?" with amusement. She is trying to show him that she understands her mistake and is taking responsibility for it. By looking up at him, she is trying to show that she respects him and that she is earnestly trying to make things right. She is also trying to lighten the mood with her "Oh really?" remark in order to make the situation less awkward.

During his time in my class, that boy destroyed numerous cauldrons. Without the assistance of Mrs. Snape, he would likely be considered a potential suspect for accidental homicide.

"Does he tend to be accident-prone?" She arched her eyebrows.

"Indeed."

"Well damn."

"Will that be all, Madam Diggory?" Severus questions before taking his leave.

"Amelia has a knack for flying. I understand that first years aren't supposed to try out for Quidditch, however, with your permission, I'd like to offer her an opportunity to show her skill set in the upcoming tryouts." Diggory expressed. Severus pondered for a moment. Thinking back on how Harry managed to find himself on the Quidditch team in his first year.

"Very well, if you think she will be responsible enough, then you have my blessing." Severus nods and leaves the room, in search of his wife. To be honest, he swelled with pride, thinking that his daughter would be the first Slytherin to make it on the team as a first year. But he shouldn't get his hopes up yet. He will still have to talk to Hermione.

Transfiguration Classroom

Amelia is seated in the front of the room, to the right of Teagan, and beside her, Bailey, who is sitting with Finn, to the left. Observing Professor McGonagall's chalkboard while Professor Snape distributes matches, Amelia notices the information she has written. Bailey, too, pays attention to the board. Teagan fidgets with a quill and not looking at the board. Finn is anxiously waiting for his match. Suddenly, Finn's stomach breaks out in a loud growl! Everyone turns and stares, and Amelia and Bailey can't help but burst out laughing.

"Didn't we just have lunch, Finn? How can you still be hungry?" Bailey asked. Finn shrugs his shoulders. Finn smiles sheepishly and replies, "A bottomless pit I guess!" Bailey and Amelia laugh together at Finn's words.

"Alright now, settle down," Minerva demanded, looking over her shoulder. Minerva was clearly frustrated and wanted her students to focus and pay attention. She wanted to ensure that they were listening and taking the lesson seriously, so she firmly asked them to settle down.

"As you can see, we will start small. Please note that transfiguration is in its own right, challenging. We will turn matchsticks into needles. Don't get discouraged if you're not successful the first few times. It will take practice. The incantation for this lesson is Conmutocus. The wand movement for this is: A sharp jab straight at the match." Hermione demonstrated the wand movement. Everyone watched in awe. This is challenging because it involves manipulating matter at a molecular level. The incantation and wand movement are important because they help the user focus their magical energy and direct it toward the task at hand.

"Take a short break if you get frustrated, no more than five minutes. Hermione continued, "Write down what you can improve on.". After some discussion, the students set to work. When she finished writing on the board, Hermione moved over to Minerva.

"Do you need me to finish grading the second year's assignments, Professor?" Hermione asked.

"That would be helpful. Thank you. How are you feeling?" Minerva asked.

"I'm feeling better now that I'm taking the necessary supplements."

"And the we lad or lass?" She inquired.

"Doing marvelously, Severus is concerned of course, and I don't blame him."

"I hope he doesn't get too worked up. Every pregnancy is different, you know." She smiled reassuringly.

"Indeed it is Min."

"Do the children know what happened?"

"No, they don't. I don't need them to worry about things out of their control. Poppy is an outstanding medi-witch and I know she'll take proper care when the time comes."

"Agreed."

Amelia overheard the conversation between her mother and Professor McGonagall. Something must have happened to warrant her father's concern. She knows she shouldn't pry. Or listen to others' conversations. However, the whisperings between the adults aren't exactly subtle about it all. She'll have to investigate. Alex will know.

Towards the end of class, she finally managed to transfigure the matchstick into a needle.

"Well done, Ms. Snape! 5 points for Slytherin!" McGonagall exclaimed. Just as she said that there was a loud 'bang' in the back of the classroom. In response to the noise, both Professors noticed Casey Stone covered with ash and burn marks on his desk. His normal caramel brown hair, combed neatly, spread like it had been rubbed with a balloon.

"Mr. Stone!" Minerva gasped, walking briskly towards the student.

"S-sorry Professor."

"How on earth did you blow up a match? " She questioned. Amelia laughed. 'Serve him right.'

"I must've over-exerted my wrist movements. Or mispronounced the incantation…" He whispered in embarrassment. Minerva shook her head.

"5 points from Gryffindor, and a 3-foot essay on how you can prevent further accidents such as these."

"Yes Professor."

At the end of class, the students packed up their belongings and headed to the great hall for dinner. In the process of reaching their destination, Amelia, Teagan, Bailey, and Finn were interrupted by Casey, Felix Thomas, and Donna.

"Hey, pikey! " he screamed furiously. Teagan stood in front of Amelia and stood between her and Casey.

"What do you want tosser?' Amelia responded. Tapping Teagan's shoulder so she could move out of the way. Casey had used a derogatory term to refer to Amelia and Teagan stepped in to protect her by standing between them. Amelia then responded to Casey with her own insult and asked him what he wanted.

"How dare you laugh at me, like you're better than everyone else?" Casey was livid, his rage boiling over as he shouted at Amelia.

"What makes you think I'm better than everyone else? Perhaps I'm better than you since I wasn't the one who blew up a damn match." Amelia retorted, Bailey and Finn chuckled silently. Bailey shot Amelia a look of surprise. She had never expected her to come back with such a snappy remark. Amelia smirked, satisfied with her witty retort.

"I challenge you to a duel Snape. We'll see who's better. Just me and you." Casey challenged Amelia to a duel, suggesting he might be better than her. Amelia showed no fear and proved his mettle with his challenge. Amelia was reminded of Samuel Beckett's famous words: "Ever Tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better."

"Maybe I can turn you into a snail. I can ask Jack to serve you on a platter. I hear it's a French delicacy." Amelia threatened.

"Quidditch pitch, right after curfew, unless you're chicken." Casey mocked.

"Don't flatter yourself Stone. I'll be there." Her eyes flared in fury. Her hand clutched the handle of her wand. She and her friends do not want to engage any further.

"You don't have to do this Amelia." Bailey pleaded. Amelia was determined to take action and stand up for herself and her friends. She was not going to let anyone trample over her and her friends, and she made that clear with her posture and her words. Bailey sought to diffuse the situation, but Amelia was firm in her decision.

"I have to. I need to get him off my back. Sure as hell isn't my fault that he can't transfigure the simplest item." Amelia was fed up with the constant belittling and disrespect she and her friends had to endure from Casey. Despite Bailey's attempt to de-escalate the situation, Amelia felt she had no other choice but to take decisive action to put an end to the bullying and silence her tormentor.

"He's jealous. He knows you're powerful. You're already smarter than him. I mean, really. Both your parents are practically genius." Finn exclaimed. Amelia smiled. "Thanks, Finn. That means a lot to me." She turned to Teagan, her voice determined. "Let's do this."

"He'd rather show you that he has more bronze than brain." Teagan said.

"Maybe that's why he's so shiny!" Bailey retorts.

"Clearly." Amelia rolled her eyes.

Great Hall

As students and faculty gathered in the great hall for dinner, Hermione sat next to Severus in the middle of the head table. Severus beamed at the sight of her. Bending down to place a loving kiss on the side of her cheek. His eyes darted to her stomach.

"Good evening love. Did you have a good day?" The faculty took their seats.

"I did, with the exception of Mr. Stone blowing up a match. It was pretty much uneventful beforehand."

"I hope you docked points off?"

"Minerva did."

"Very good."

Over at the end of the table on the right, Stefan and Delphi sat together, in relative silence. They can actually use legitimacy, so others won't be able to overhear.

'Have you talked to Snape about his daughter joining the Quidditch team?' Stefan asked.

'I did. He surprisingly gave me his blessing. After I made myself look like a damn fool, apologizing for stupid Longbottom. Any luck on the son?'

'No, he's pretty quiet. Sticks to himself in class unless I make him pair up to practice dueling.'

'Who does he pair up with?' Delphi asked.

'Scorpius Malfoy, and sometimes Arthur Weasley.'

'Malfoy? Really?'

'Why act so surprised? His father is Snape's godson after all, you'd think they're close.'

'Right.' Delphi mumbled. Taking a bite of her pot roast. Delphi watches the Slytherin table. She notices that Amelia staring over to the Gryffindor table. She looks pretty pissed. 'I wonder who has her attention?' Delphi thought, moving her gaze over to the Gryffindor table, she scans the table, reading the faces of the small children. She stops at a 4th year with caramel brown hair. A green-eyed- red hair girl chats him up, whispering something in his ear. She notices that Mr. Stone is glaring over at the Slytherin table. It didn't take long for her to realize who he was staring at.

"Looks like Stone and Snape have some beef," Delphi whispered to Stefan.

"Interesting." Stefan replied, although not too interested. Their eyes dart between Mr. Stone and Ms. Snape.

Headmaster's Chambers

Severus is sitting at his desk, reading 'The Advancement of achieving quality potions.' By: Markus Grey. Hermione exits the restroom once the tub was finished filling with water. She walks up behind Severus, placing both hands on his shoulders, and massaging them.

"I can feel the tension in your shoulders love," Hermione whispered. Severus placed the book down, closing his eyes and enjoying his wife's touch. He hadn't had a good massage in a while. He let out an appreciative moan.

"It's been a little hectic. The first few weeks normally are." He responded. With just the right amount of pressure, Hermione's hands are magic as she continues, gracefully moving towards the middle of his back, right at the bottom of his neck. Severus bent his head down slightly so she could have a better angle.

"Your hands are magic, dear." He groaned. Feeling the tension easing from his shoulders. Hermione lowered her head to nibble on his ear, before whispering:

"I have a bath drawn; would you care to join me?" Hermione said seductively. Severus quirked his eyebrow, turning to kiss her jaw.

"Obviously." He moaned. Severus followed her to the tub, removing his robes he climbed in, followed by Hermione as she sits comfortably between his legs, she leans back and lays her head upon his chest. Severus wraps his arms around her midsection. His thumbs gently caressed her belly. Hermione could feel a third member, poking at her bum. Hermione smirks.

"Looks like someone is happy to see me," Hermione said. Severus moved his hands up to cup both of her perfect breasts, flicking her nipples. There's the reaction he was looking for. Electricity seemed to run through her body as he played with her. With her hand, she fumbled slightly as she reached for his cock. Severus jerked just a tad as she tugged tenderly. His cock hardened from her ministration. Her fingers tickled his sack.

"ooh." He moaned. With his right hand, gliding down her belly, he found what he was looking for. Lightly rubbing her clit, another jolt went through her body as she let out a moan.

"S-Severuss." She moaned. Encouraging him to rub harder. With his ring and middle finger, he found the perfect rhythm as he noticed her rocking her hips back and forth. She is still concentrating on pleasuring him as well. With the perfect sequence, they moved together in beautiful harmony.

"H-Hermioneee. I-I'm C-Cumming." He let out a loud growl as his seed erupted in her hand as it floated in the water.

"Oh—Oh! I'm—a—almost AH!" Hermione screamed in bliss as she came in his hand.

"That's my girl… cum for me my sweet darling." He moved up to kiss the bottom of her neck, butterfly kisses traveling up toward her earlobe. It wasn't long until he became hard again. The warmth of the water and the feel of her hand, still grabbing his cock, made him want to beg for more.

"I need you, Severus!" Hermione pleaded. He would not deny her request, with his hand, he removed hers. Taking his cock and gliding it in her sweet folds. They both moaned as he entered her. The feel of the water made the experience more enjoyable. He began to slowly thrust into her. She found herself playing with her clit once more.

"H-harder, love…oh sweet Merlin." She cried, closing her eyes for a moment. Severus responded, with each thrust, he goes deep, his balls slapping against her as water splashed out of the tub, causing puddles on the floor, but neither noticed as they are moving as one.

"You are mine, Hermione. I love fucking you here." He groaned.

"I'm so wet for you Sev—ah! Right there!" Hermione gasp. Taking in all of his glory.

"You feel so fucking good." He moves with ease, as sweet drips down his face.

"That's right, scream for me Hermione, scream my name and bask in my love for you," Severus demanded.

"I'm al—almost there!" Hermione cried. Together they let out a scream in ecstasy. Once they both released their stress, Hermione laid back and Severus once again wrapped his arms around her. Taking a moment to catch their breath, Severus kissed the back of her head.

"That was amazing." Hermione signed, and she beamed with joy.

"Indeed, my love. Indeed."
