Chapter 2: Do We Start to Trust?

We were taken in by Chinen Kahori. A lone seemingly 20-year-old who lives in a small town. She seemed nice yet also showed she is an introvert, After yelling at who I and Jay are guessing, it was the Kirjou group. She slammed the door in their face and of course, we told her our names and she said hers back. She offered to give us a place to stay, food, clothes, and odd of all a place to learn, school. We took her up on it and then she asked something odd. "What's our name?"
"J-"
"No No No your new name," Chinen said
I looked at Jay and she was staring at me.
"My name that I live under is Copper….Copper Macquarie. So really you're making a new name for yourselves."
"Ping, Ping Macquarie your younger sister," Jay said
"Darwin Macquarie, Ping's Twin, and again your younger brother," I said

Copper nodded and ran off to quickly write our new names down and ran back. She looks at us and smiles and winks showing her hand right it was in an odd shape and she shakes it. We just looked at her confused as she grabbed a phone and walked into another room.
"Is she 17 or 16?" Jay asked
"I don't know," I responded and took a biscuit. She walked to the door and then looked at us. We kept eating but when she moved and seemingly walked over to us we looked at her and she just…smiled.

I started washing the one dish that made a mess as Ping and Darwin were upstairs. As the dish was put away there was a knock on the door. A soft knock, yet an unknown knock. I knew Gen knocking style. It was flash and hard, not soft and slow. So I moved towards the door, I had a guess it was the people again. I cracked open the door but it was Gen.
"Fucking Christ Gen you scared the living hell out of me." I sighed and let him in

"Sorry Copper. But when you texted me I had to run over." Gen sighed and handed me a folder. "Here is everything you need, and I already signed them up for the school here. How old are they?"
"Guessing 16 Gen."
"So a year younger, guess I got it right. Well, I gotta go. See ya Copper." Gen got up and quickly left. I got up and locked the door.

Now I don't wanna bore you with what I did after Gen left but I do want to say this, As I don't know who their enemies were at the time. But I because they showed up like…how they did I stared looking them up. Only by the name they gave me, and I got nothing but an article saying that they were dead. I just started at it, I knew it was a lie. They aren't ghosts but who wrote this may be trying to control the narrative. I closed my laptop and leaned back. "I hope I have a week, a single week of peace with the two."

Copper handed an ID card to me along with a phone, looking over the ID card, it seemed real. I didn't ask where she got it, I didn't want to know but it was a sign we had a new name, for now.- That afternoon was spent shopping for clothing, Copper showed us a shopping center and gave us each 5000 yen. When asking what we should get.
"A school uniform and newer clothes guys." She responded and put on a pair of sunglasses.

I looked at Darwin and smiled. He looked back at me with a shy smile. We quickly took off to get clothes. What I wanted was dark-colored clothing for when out on the town. The School uniform was free due to me showing the card. So I got at least 3 days of clothing with some yen to spare. I checked my phone and got no message so I just walked around, randomly looking behind me. In the span of 5 minutes, I saw the same person following me. I ducked into a gaming store and started browsing the shelves. The same person tailing me came in, I looked at them and my mind started racing. Ren it was Ren Ayamiya, the leader of the Phantom Thieves was my tail, and who knew who else was close by also. I moved quickly to the other side of the store and tried to see if the exit was clear for me to dash to. As I stared at the door as I was walking I bumped into someone I fell right on my ass and the person stammered back and looked at me.

"Watch where you goin- oh I'm sorry Miss," The man said his hand down to help me up. I took it and he pulled me up, he gave me a smile, and I gave him one back and looked behind me. Ren ducked quickly back out of my view.
"Miss, are you okay, is someone following you?" The man asks
"Y-Yes I am" I quickly spouted out, I glanced at the exit and it was clear. "Thank you again sir and I'm sorry," I bowed and headed for it. running out and took a left. I didn't look back, I didn't want to know if Ren was behind me. But I knew he was going to be, so I just ran.

Now that is odd. Ain't it Miss, Chinen's hopes didn't come true but now I have to know who else is putting their entries in here. It can't just only be Miss Chinen as she said in chapter one. "I wish I had the journals they kept, so I could put what they had or even put their entries when needed" Yet it seem like someone did this for her. I'll pass it on for someone else to look at for me. I don't have time for that.
