Anybody expected this? I'm making a tier list of underrated couples I consider that should have more stories about them.
I am disqualifying couples I consider to be overrated, have their own separate story, have children, or all three at once, which are: Rabbity & Foxy, Fox & Krystal, Meowth & Sophie, Skunky & Fifi, Haztim & Rita's Mom (since Haztim is considered a step dad), King & Queen Pong, Hugo & Rita, and of course, Morgana & Yaya.
Now that you've seen the guidelines, let's get to the list.
(Number 10: Bolt & Mittens)
I loved watching Bolt when I was younger. I consider it one of my favourite nostalgic Disney movies about dogs next to Oliver & Company. This couple first came about when I suggested we put Meowth in a relationship with Mittens, but RedHood123 said she was with Bolt.
This couple is on the list because since they reunited with Penny and Rhino, I feel a lot of story potential with those characters in stories together. It could be nostalgic for all the Bolt fans out there who love and/or remember the movie, and it could be for respect to John Travolta, who sadly lost his wife to breast cancer (God bless her soul, and her family.)
Who knows? They may make a sequel to the classic dog film.
(Number 9: Max & Gidget)
This couple from Secret Life Of Pets (another good movie series) has quite a history in the stories. Most notably their rivalry with Hugo and Rita.
Said rivalry first came to be from RedHood123's Great ARMS Tournament story, which he originally planned to have Max & Gidget star in it, but because of my interest in the Jungledyret Hugo franchise, he replaced them with the primate and fox, which would leave to me including the fact they hold grudges against them, until it ended in another story.
But hey, that rivalry was still better than vampires vs werewolves for The Twilight Saga.
(Number 8: Woodpeckery & Chickadee-y)
The two only bird woodland critters entered a relationship after helping the people of Show Town with their chores.
Although, Chickadee-y's gender was tricky to make out, but I see Chickadee-y as a male, and Woodpeckery as a female because I'm sure that's what their genders read on the fandom page of the critters.
Their relationship could soar through the skies. (Ba-dun-tss).
(Number 7: Squirrely & Pepper)
I actually used to watch the Littlest Pet Shop show before, and I remember seeing a fanart picture on DeviantART before where Squirrely was smitten with Pepper Clark, the comedic skunk.
The concept of a southern squirrel and a [rank-pulling skunk as a couple is a pretty unique concept for a couple, I must say. DeviantART knows how to inspire.
Also, hopefully we won't have to worry about the Sepper (Sunil X Pepper) shippers.
(Number 6: Beary & Deery)
This couple was brought together after a dreaming sequence, but has been kind of underrated over the stories. Granted they did show their relationship in some stories, but it was mainly in small doses.
I got the idea to make this couple after seeing them together in the 'you-know-what' moment in that South Park Christmas episode.
This couple is BEARly showing their relationship. (Bear-ly. Get it?)
(Number 5: Baxter/Baxton & Porcupiney)
Rita's Mom, Meowth, Mousey, and Porcupiney are all real characters who are in relationships with OC characters me/RedHood123 came up with. And for Porcupiney's special someone, RedHood123 had the idea for the character, and I thought of the character's personality.
Baxter/Baxton has the personality of a less-intelligent but well meaning goofball like Ed from Ed, Edd, 'n' Eddy, Patrick Star (before the movie), and Lola from The Looney Tunes Show (2011).
I can already imagine a story where he uses himself as a bowling ball.
(Number 4: Beavery & Raccoony)
Being the only LGBTQ+ couple (by far), I'd figured they'd deserve a spot on this list.
This is another woodland critter couple that was seen together in 'that' moment from 'that' South Park episode, so it'd be fitting they'd get together. With them being the only gay couple, there could be a lot of potential, and a lot of support for the LGBTQ+ community.
There ain't even a problem with sexualities. Love who you wanna love, you know?
(Number 3: Pepe Le Pew & Penelope Pussycat)
Charles M Blow isn't going to be happy about this. The reason this couple is at number three on the list is because they have a third wheel: Johnny Bravo.
For some reason, I see Pepe and Johnny as best friends. And with Johnny's lack of intelligence, yet him being friends with Pepe, there could be a lot of potential with the three. Most notably, Penelope becoming frustrated with Johnny's antics, and Pepe trying to put up with it, and not wanting to hurt Johnny's feelings.
And yet, Johnny would still be a better best friend than Patrick Star (post movie).
(Number 2: Wile E Coyote & Female Road Runner)
Where to even begin with this one?
Back in my review of Bumbie's Mom, I said that Wile E must have a crush on Road Runner, and after seeing a story made by Lucas18 (credit), I got the idea for this couple forming.
I even did an image on Paint of a female Road Runner, which you can see on my slideshow of couples on my YouTube channel. Not only that, I sent a suggestion for RedHood123 to make a story where Wile E makes a machine that allows Road Runner to talk. So, if you take a look at other stories about those two, and see Road Runner talking, now you know why.
But, can you image if Wile E became female instead?
But, before I get to number 1, I'd like to give a few honourable mentions.
(Mousey & Sally)
Think of this couple as a reverse Tom & Jerry, but Tom as a female. A cat and a mouse couple, what more is there to add?
(Scout & Tracer)
The most recent couple to become a thing. After seeing a lot of stuff between these two, they'd be a fitting couple as well. And who knows? They might make an Overwatch and Team Fortress 2 crossover.
(All the other couples that were excluded from this list)
I know I said I was excluding them from the list, but that doesn't mean I can't give them an honourable mention. Be sure to check out the couples stories made by me and RedHood123.
And now, for the number one underrated couple I feel should be in more stories. Can you guess what it is? If you haven't figured it out, here it is.
(Number 1: Calamity Coyote & Female Little Beeper)
You thought Wile E and Road Runner was the only couple with one of them being Rule 63? Well, yugiofan163 (credit) was inspired from that story to make a similar story, but with these two characters from Tiny Toons.
Why is this couple at number one you ask? Well, first, like the other couples, there's a lot of potential between them, but more notably, my opinion on one of them. I used to hate Little Beeper because of how Little Beeper treated Calamity, but after learning how close they are when they're not chasing each other, I started to like Little Beeper more.
Yep, my opinion on Little Beeper made the case for Calamity X Female Little Beeper to guarantee it's spot as number one on this list. Hopefully, there'll be more stories about them, maybe even fanart (but, I don't know about THAT type of fanart, if you know what I mean).
Well, that's my listing for the top ten underrated characters. If you'd like to make a listing of your top ten underrated characters who you feel should be in more stories, go right ahead. See you later.
