A/N: Another test run. Here's the second protag of the story. Same as last time, read the sheet and lemme know what y'all think.
Character Questions: Shuwamei
Full name: Shuwa Mei-Yin
Nickname: Shuwamei (everyone calls her this), Shu (personal nickname by Minazuki), The Korean Nine-Tailed Fox (her unofficial Tekken-like moniker)
Occupation: A Junior at Mishima Polytechnical like Minazuki. Soon, a graduating Senior.
Appearance: A young Korean woman with long black hair, half fringes on the left side, light skin, and black eyes.
Age: Seventeen, then nineteen and twenty as the story progresses.
Mannerisms: The first person to actually befriend Minazuki after he enrolls at Mishima Polytechnical, Shu is kind and considerate. At the same time, mindful and perceptive. Whenever Minazuki is in a fight unjustly, she's usually the first person to jump in and help. Despite the story's title, Shu is Minazuki's true best friend.
What does he/she wear?: Wears the uniform just like everybody else at school. Shu wears a blue and white sportswear jacket in a sanctioned fight exposing part of her chest and belly. The sleeves are raised, and a white fox with nine tails is on the front of the jacket. Her gloves and pants are also blue and white. She also sports a black belt, written in white, "Nine-Tailed Fox." Shu wears a silver thermal short jacket outside school and after graduation with a white high-neck sleeveless midriff, black leather hotpants, and gray sneakers with darker gray accents, light gray toes and heels, and light pink soles. Her gloves are now white and orange with a blue nine-tailed fox design on the front.
Favorite color: Silver
What is he/she good at?: Like Minazuki, Shu is academically sound with a scholarship. Regarding Martial Arts, she's a 5th Dan in Moo Duk Kwan Tae Kwon Do. (Same discipline as Baek)
What is he/she bad at?: Often quick to let her helping nature dictate her actions, sometimes leading her into trouble after befriending Minazuki.
What does he/she want?: To graduate from Mishima Polytechnical.
What is his/her goal?: To help Minazuki deal with the many people trying to derail him.
What lie does he/she believe?: After being befriended by Reina, Minazuki will get hurt, betrayed, killed, or a combination of the three.
What flaw results from the lie?: Shu will be (justifiably) paranoid and distrusting of Reina. And to a lesser extent, Zoey, for a different reason altogether.
What truth does he/she learn?: Minazuki will always be careful around Reina and whatever she's planning.
What is his/her background?
Shu was born in South Korea (obviously) as the most accomplished member of her Dojang, save her Master. But it wasn't her TKD skills that landed her in Mishima Polytechnical, but her smarts. You see, the entire student body of Seoul took a series of exams, the highest score transferred to a school of their choosing in a foreign exchange program. Shu didn't score the highest, but that, along with her martial arts background, caught the attention of the Mishima Board of Ed that handled who is enrolled at Mishima Polytechnical. They sent a letter to Shu's family, begging them to let Shuwamei enroll at Mishima Polytechnical. They agreed, and Shuwamei transferred during the middle of the school year.
Feeling like an outcast, Shu was ostracized by most of the student body if not bullied by her peers. Her supposed bullies weren't expecting her to stand up for herself and retaliate with her TKD skills. A day later, on Minazuki's first day at Mishima Polytechnic, and did much the same for himself. She introduced herself to him shortly afterward, and they became fast friends.
Additional Questions for Shuwamei?
Does Shu feel threatened by Reina?
Not threatened, just weary. Shu is mature enough not to act like Minazuki's mom. She can only suggest that he not spend his time with her, but she knows she can't just up and tell him not to. And with Reina being a mystery to literally everyone around her, her careful nature toward her is justified.
What will Shu do after graduation?
I honestly don't know. Shu's a canceled character; Shuwamei is a fan name that I adopted for the story. And Shuwa Mei-Yin is a made-up name based on Shuwamei. So, in terms of storytelling, I have no clue. But based on the outfit I didn't use in her wardrobe section, She might veer toward something corporate.
Why did Shu choose Mishima Poly and not somewhere else?
I mean, despite the shady person who found it, Mishima Polytechnical, I would assume, has an excellent education program. And depending on what she decides to do, Mishima Polytechnical has all her bases covered. Also, if a Mishima is running the school, she'd get ample opportunity to ensure her TKD remains sharp.
