Deep within the vastness of outer space, a fleet of Scrin spacecraft travelled through a wormhole. Silver and purple spacecraft of alien insectoid design. Within its halls and quarters, countless insectoid-like beings crawled and worked efficiently, tirelessly maintaining the ships as its crew. At the head of its command, Foreman 732 telepathically gave commands to the fleet and its subordinates. The Foreman led a mining fleet to conduct a mining operation from a far-off solar system they had seeded years prior to their arrival.
The objective was to harvest ichor from the planet itself to prolong their existence and their race. The planet in question had reached critical mass and was ready for harvesting. Foreman 732's Supervisor tasked it to harvest all ichor and deliver all to the ichor hub. Should the operation encounter resistance, they would call upon their military escort. It was far larger than the mining fleet it commanded but Foreman 732 was just as capable of leading a military force.
Nearing their destination, the fleet exited the wormhole and back into Realspace. The fleet had entered orbit and prepared to launch the operation at its command. Gazing out from the ship's helm, it saw a planet much like other planets they seeded. From their probes and scouts sent in to analyse the planet and ichor, assimilating their language, the ichor had taken a black colour and it's more potent than red and blue ichor. This was a major discovery for the Scrin. A highly potent ichor can empower and extend one's life with a drop of it. But the planet's indigenous population had survived an ichor detonation event. Upon reporting the discovery, the Overlord prioritised the harvesting of black ichor and made sure any resistance is eliminated, Foreman 371 being an example of a case. There is now precedent of viable indigenous population resistance after ichor detonation event and all Foremen are advised to expect resistance if any survived ichor detonation.
With goals set and plans made for the future, Foreman 732 gave the command.
"All transport units disengage orbit and prepare for re-entry." Foreman 732 ordered, "Land within designated primary ichor concentrations."
"Upon landing, all military units attack major population centres and prioritise destruction of local military assets. Divert indigenous forces away from Relay nodes during construction." Foreman 732 instructed the military escort, "All construction and mining units prioritise creation of centre of operations and thresholds. Afterwards, proceed with harvesting procedures and Relay Node construction."
With orders received, all ships disengaged their orbit and began re-entry in the atmosphere. Natives witnessing the event believe it was a meteor shower or an impending catastrophe.
In truth, it was the eve of an invasion. But for Scrin, it's simply a routine harvest.
In Terra, news outlets all over the world reported alien ships entering Terra's atmosphere. All the populace from Ursus to Sargon are glued to the news. Military scouts reported all alien ships have landed within areas of vast quantities of Originium. Forty ships had landed in large Originium deposits all over Terra and all stood in silence, waiting.
In a rural village within Sargon, a lone girl watched the news in horror; The Visitors had found the world her family escaped to. Scrambling to her room, she uncovered the safe her family kept since her childhood. Inputting the code, she opened it and light shone through. A glowing orb of alien language and knowledge. She gently grasped it and brought it close to her face, shining its light upon her, revealing crystals growing on her face and neck. Feeling the orb's knowledge flow to her mind, she donned her clothes and her cloak and hid the orb in a case. She left home immediately and began her journey to Rhodes Island.
"I have to warn everyone! If anyone can warn the world of impending danger, it has to be Rhodes Island!" the girl said to herself, "What happened to my home can't happen here again!"
Fortunately, a Rhodes Island VTOL aircraft had landed in her village to distribute medical supplies and treat illnesses. They are being recalled to Rhodes Island after the news report. Making haste and stealthily snuck aboard the cargo hold, she hid inside an empty crate and closed the lid. After a few minutes, she felt the aircraft rumble as it lifted off. She waited patiently until it reached the landship, hoping The Visitors didn't attack them en route.
As the world waited, they were met with violence. Alien aircraft, vehicles and infantry launched a full-scale assault on every major city in the world. Civilians fled in fear as their homes were destroyed by the aliens. Insect-like infantry swarmed the streets, attacking all who came their way. Every nation was under heavy assault from the aliens.
In Ursus, tripods, assault carriers, and mechapedes massacred the populace and destroyed the cities. Those from rural villages could only watch in fear and horror as the aliens burned down the mobile cities. The Ursus military was faring no better as most were wiped out and their weapons had no effect on the aliens' defences. Assault carriers flew over the capital city, deploying Invader-class fighters; Destroying the Imperial Palace and the Nobles' Homes until only rubble remained. All nobility and the emperor weren't spared in the genocide.
In Chernobog, things were no different. Stormriders, Shock troopers, Corruptors, and Devastator Warships attacked the city. Reunion had fled the city as most of their forces were devastated. The populace of Chernobog were no better as they hid inside their homes and in the underbelly of the city to escape from the attack.
Talulah cursed under her breath as her plans were ruined and most of her forces were killed, swearing vengeance upon them.
In Lungmen, Ch'en, Hoshiguma, Swire and the L.G.D evacuated the city as the aliens were on the offensive. The L.G.D could only stall for time for the civilians to escape as the aliens decimated them in numbers. As the offensive went on, All of L.G.D left the city and fled. Ch'en, Hoshiguma, and Swire took an aircraft to Rhodes Island along with what's left of the L.G.D.
In Kazimierz, the nation's knights were decimated. Their weapons and technology are outdated with cities devastated as the aliens destroyed them. The Nearl Family fled to Rhodes Island on an aircraft for safety.
In Victoria, all cities were reduced to rubble as Devastator Warships and a Mothership wiped out every last mobile city in the nation. The remaining survivors fled into the wilderness to survive.
In Sargon, Rim Billiton and Laterano, Sarkaz, Archosaurian, Cautus and Sankta fought with fierce resistance but to no avail as they could only hold out for long before fleeing to save others and themselves. W and her mercenary band held out for hours until they had to retreat. Heading to Rhodes Island was their best hope, despite W's grievances with them.
As the rest of the world descended into chaos, Rhodes Island was left in total shock and horror. Amiya and Kal'tsit recalled every operator squad and aircraft back to the landship immediately. The landship was put on high alert as their defences were set up and primed.
One by one, every Rhodes Island aircraft returned along with every operator squad from every nation. Refugees from different nations also came to the landship. Ch'en and the L.G.D Remnants were first to arrive. Sankta, Sarkaz, Cautus and Archosaurians were next, bringing familiar faces and wounded with them. W and her mercenary band came along the Sargonian refugees. Despite hostility between W and Rhodes Island, they were allowed to stay. The Nearl family and remnants of Kazimierz knights came next, Margaret was relieved to see her family alive, embracing her sister tightly.
And last were, surprisingly, Reunion forces. Having abandoned the organisation after they were left decimated by the aliens, most had fled to Rhodes Island for medical treatment and safety. Fighting for equality would be pointless if none sought help in fighting the aliens. They were allowed to stay and all wounded will be treated, despite any previous animosity between organisations.
Some operators reunited with their families and friends.
Gavial was reunited with Tomimi and the remnants of her tribe. The remnants of the Archosaurian tribes fled to the wilderness to escape the aliens that destroyed their home. But Gavial was happy Tomimi survived.
Exusiai reunited with Mostima and the rest of Penguin Logistics, including the penguin rapper, Emperor. Mostima recounted events in Laterano; How much of the nation was ravaged. Exusiai didn't care as she embraced the fallen Sankta, happy that she survived.
In between the commotion of refugees, the cloaked girl snuck out of the VTOL aircraft she stowed away in. Blending in with the refugees, she snuck inside the Landship to find the Doctor of Rhodes Island, its leader Amiya, and Dr. Kal'tsit. Carrying her case with her, she walked through its halls, occasionally looking at the landship's map to find either the conference room or their offices. Considering the situation outside, the conference room was her best guess. Planning out a route, she swiftly walked through the halls until she came upon the room's large double doors. Taking a deep breath, she steeled her nerves and pushed the doors open.
The room was in a chaotic commotion. A meeting between Rhodes Island, Sarkaz, Sankta, Archosaurian, L.G.D, and Cautus. Arguments and debates ran wild in the meeting. The main topic was their survival and a possible counter-attack to the aliens. Amiya, the Doctor and Kal'tsit did their best mediating between parties. The doors behind her closed with a loud clunk and all eyes were on her.
"Apologies everyone but I have an urgent matter to present." The girl spoke, "I need the Doctor's and all of Rhodes Island's help for this."
"What kind of matter is far more urgent than our survival?" Kal'tsit said, looking at her, "Who are you and what urgent matter that is far more important than the present?"
The girl pulled down her hood, revealing green crystals growing on her face and neck. She has dark neck-length hair and violet eyes. Everyone was shocked and most took a step back, fearing it could be a new strain of Oripathy. Amiya, the Doctor and Kal'tsit were also shocked as the girl may be a carrier of a new strain of Oripathy. What's more surprising was her lack of animal features prominent in all Terran humans.
"My name is Okaru of The Forgotten." The girl introduced herself, "I came to Rhodes Island for treatment and aid in our global crisis."
"How can you aid us?" Amiya asked Okaru.
Okaru opened her case and brought out the orb, gently holding it in the palm of her hand. She raised it high for all to see. It glowed brightly with alien letters and numbers randomly shifted within it. All present are speechless of the strange orb.
"What is it?" Amiya asked, gazing upon the orb's ever-changing contents.
"Knowledge about our enemy." Okaru said, gaining everyone's attention, the orb shone brighter, "And the salvation of our future."
"Relay Nodes construction complete." The Scrin A.I stated, "Planetary ichor radiation coverage at 100%"
"Excellent!" Foreman 732 exclaimed, "Fortify defences in all Relay Nodes in the event of an indigenous force assault."
"All harvesters!" Foreman 732 spoke, ordering them, "Proceed with harvesting procedures as normal. The rest will scour this planet for any potential threats to the operation."
"TERRA. WILL. FALL."
A/N: This story came to my mind after seeing a lack of Scrin-focused stories and watching Command and Conquer lore videos. Arknight's Oripathy and Tiberium poisoning are essentially the same thing but with different colors and names.
