Chapter 6: Chutes and Ladders:
Nigel's POV:
Well, I say - one's name is Nigel Brightmore. One was thinking about what I've done. when One betrayed the Duel Masters and joined the Choten. That was One's greatest regret. One thought the Duel Masters betrayed everything we believed in, but in truth, One did. Unit: E is hoh One intend to make up for it. One was sitting in One's roohm, meditating, but then there was ah knock ohn the doohr. It was nakadai.
"Yo Brightmore," she said, "you're a light guy, you know how to fix a lamp?"
"I'm terribly sorry but being the... formah Duel Mastah of the Light Civilizatiohn does not mean one knoh hoh to fix lights. Please dane't buhthah myself."
I'm terribly sorry but the alaaarm went orf.
"Looks like we're needed," says Nakadai.

"There's some sort of anomaly at Griffon Rock," says Duke.
"Figures," says Nakadai, "something's always going on there."
"Hey, maybe we'll see the Rescue Bots," says Esquivel, "it's weird, but for some reason, we never met them."
"Let's go check it out," says Duke.

We went ovah and saw ah baaarmy whirlpoohl.
"Is it glowing," asks Darby.
I'm terribly sorry but the next thing we knew, it was sucking us in.

One's eyes opened and the first thing One saw was some sort of purple beast in one's face. One screamed, but it turned out to be Spaaarkle's dog.
"Sorry," he said.
"I see you're up," says Duke.
"Where aaare we," I asked.
"Don't ask us," says Nakadai, "but we did find these weird things."
We were in ah roohm. There were chutes and ladders.
"One of them might lead out," says Darby.
"Good guess," says Duke, "but we better be careful."
"Careful's my middle na..." Nakadai then fell down ah chute.
"Miko," Darby and Esquivel both said.
One then jumped aftah hah.

One found one's self in ah baaarmy roohm. It was frightfully laaargah than normal. One walked and then one found the remains of ah frightfully laaargah than normal robot. One loohked and realized it was Nakadai's Autobot Daaarrrling, Bulkhead.
"HELP!"
One legged it ovah and saw Nakadai faced to face with ah frightfully laaargah than normal bug fancy robot.
"I destroyed your friend and now I shall have my revenge!"
One then grabbed nakadai and we went up ah laddah and regrouped with the uhthers.
"Anything alright," asks Duke.
"Hardshell," says Nakadai, "he's back and he killed Bulkhead."
"That doesn't make sense," says Esquivel, "wouldn't the Autobots have told us they were here?"
"Maybe they wanted it to be a surprise," says Nakadai.
"Maybe one of these ladders will lead to an explanation," says Sparkle. She went up one.

I'm terribly sorry but we all waited. Spaaarkle's dog was getting worried. Then Spaaarkle came beck.
"Guys, when I went up that ladder, I won the noble prize," she said, "all my friends were there."
"What is this place," asks Nakadai, "are we dreaming?"
"Well, I say - someone's coming," One said.
It was four children.
"Are you real people," one of them asked.
"Yeah," says Duke, "I'm Duke, this is Brightmore, Dr. Robertson, Twilight, Spike, Jack, Miko, and Raf."
"Where are we," asks Dr. Robertson.
"Don't ask us," another kid said, "I'm Butch, this is Sis, Bonnie, and Joe."
"Howdy," says Joe.
"He's kind of a cowboy," says Bonnie.
"Kind of reminds me of a friend of mine," says Twilight.
"Do you know anything about these chutes and ladders," asks Duke.
"What we know is that the ladders lead you to something good," says Butch, "like your greatest desire."
"But the chutes lead you to something terrible," says Sis, "like your worst fear."
"Got it," says Duke, "ladders good, chutes bad. Well team, we know what to avoid."
"But the ladders could be ah trap," One said.
"He has a point," says Dr. Robertson, "we have to be real..." But he fell down a chute. I then went after him.

One found one's self in ah city. It was chaaartah city. Dr. Robertson's hometown. then one heaaard something. One went ovah and saw ah frightfully laaargah than normal monstah. One loohked for Dr. Robertsohn, but then one realized something, the monstah resembled the one Dr. Robertsohn described. The one he was once Goodness me.
"Help me," it said, "I'm a monster again!"
"Dr. Robertsohn," One said, "remembah, it's fie one of this world's illusions!"
"What if it's not," he asked, "what if it's who I really am? What if I am Multi-Farious?"
"Well, I say - come with myself," One said, "we can all be of assistance you!"
Well, I say - Dr. Robertsohn then followed myself up the laddah and when we returned, he was beck to normal.

"Maybe we should all follow whoever goes down a chute," says Nakadai.
Then Butch noticed Daaarby's telephone.
"What's that," he asked.
"It's a phone," he said.
"Really? Because it's different from mine." We all loohked at Butch's telephone and we leaaarned something. The four children have bin here since the 80's.
"We have to get out of here," says Duke.
One then walked and one saw something. It was ah laddah, but it was longah than the uhthers. Soh long, one couldn't see the topp or posterior. One went ovah to it, but One ended up falling down ah chute.

One found one's self in ah baaarmy place. It was the light civilizatiohn. One loohked aaaround and One saw someone. They were dressed in ah cloak. They then summoned Aquah Trickstah and it attacked myself. One then summoned Kolus, Soulshine Enforcah and had it attack Aquah Trickstah.
"Whoevah you aaare... Wait, aaare you, The Choten?"
The Strangah then summoned Rodi Gale, Night Guaaardian and it attacked One's Enforcah.
"What-oh then," One said, "Three-Eyed Dragonfly!"
One's Dragonfly attacked their Night Guaaardian. The Strangah then summoned Sentris and it attacked One's Dragonfly Absolutely top hole - I have to say.
"Well, I say - impressive, but One fluttah you shant expect one's paaartnah," One said, "Ra-Ku, Seekah of Lightning!"
Ra-Ku then appeaaared and the Strangah summoned his own.
"But that's not possible... Wait, you've bin using the same creatures One has used!"
The Strangah then removed their hoohd... and the Strangah was myself.
"'eaaars, Nigel, One is the true you!"
We buhth ordered our seekers to attack each uhthah. They were evenly matched. One wasn't sure what to doh. One saw the laddah behind him. The tallest laddah. One believe it meay be the weay out, but first, I'll have to mustah past One's demohn.
"Yo Brightmore," it was Nakadai.
"Looks like he's in a duel," says Esquivel.
"Against himself," says Sparkle.
"This must be the Light Civilization," says Dr. Robertson.
"I don't believe it," says Butch, "they rebooted Junior Genetic Spy Lizards?" He was looking at Darby's phone.
"So, you're not going to say anything about the large monsters fighting each other," asks Duke.
"Good, you see them too," says Butch.
One loohked at one's demohn. He was fie fancy myself. He had the same creatures. He thought the same weay one does. But then one realized something. He thought the same weay one did. One then jumped ohn Ra-Ku.
"What aaare you, One's old bean, doing," One's demohn asked. Absolutely top hole - I have to say.
"One is going to end this," One said, "the weay one wouldn't. Absolutely top hole - I have to say."
Ra-Ku and One then chaaarged and pushed one's demon's Ra-Ku ohn to One's demohn. Then we picked one's team and the children up Heavens above! How smashing.
"One believe that is the laddah we need," One said.
We then all went up that laddah.

Well, I say - we were beck at Griffohn Rock and the whirlpoohl closed.
"We're all out," says Duke.
"Except, where are Butch and the others," asks Sparkle.
"I'm getting a text," says Darby, "it's from... Butch. He's fine. When we got out, he and the others were back in their time. Check it out." We saw pictures of them, and they were older. Apparently, Joe and Bonnie were closer than we thought. They're married now.
"So," says Nakadai, "how did it feel dueling against yourself?"
"It was absolutely an experience... Mikoh."
"Okay, we're still in Chutes and Ladders Land. He just said my first name."
"Uh guys," says Spike, "how do we know we're back?"
I'm terribly sorry but that was something we all should have thought of.
You'll have to take a guess yourself. Brightmore in this has a Londoner Accent. Anyway, in the next chapter, Unit: E discovers a strange alien creature, a Furby.
