Chapter 7: Furby:
Dr. Robertson's POV:
I was having a lunch break from my work in the lab. The rest of the team were joining me. Even Nigel. It took some convincing from Miko.
"You know," says Raf, "we haven't heard from Evox in a while."
"I know," says Miko, "with the Decepticons, it was like all the time, except for the times with MECH."
"He's probably up to something," says Duke.
Then there was an alarm.
"Sorry to interrupt your lunch time," says the Director, "but you guys need to get to Alaska."
"Can't you send someone else," asks Miko, "I'm hungry."
"We could send Beach Head's team..."
"No way," says Miko, "we're on it!"
. . .
We were then in Alaska. Apparently, something strange happened here.
"I can't believe we're in Canada," says Spike.
"You shouldn't," says Twilight, "Alaska's one of the United States of America."
"Right," says Spike, "next you'll tell me Hawaii's a state too."
"Let's show him a globe later," says Miko.
"I think I found something," I said. It was a strange meteor.
"I heard the last time someone found a meteor," says Miko, "they found a weird alien watch."
"That's ridiculous," says Nigel.
"Says the guy who can summon creatures from another dimension," says Jack.
"Fair point."
The meteor opened and what came out was a strange furry creature. It had a beak like a bird and ears like a cow. It also had little feet.
"What is it," asks Twilight.
"Could be an alien," I said.
"Would your Cybertronian friends know about it," asks Nigel.
"Not all aliens know each other," says Jack.
"Hey, it likes me," says Miko as the creature was nuzzling her leg.
"Maybe we should take it back to base for studies," I said.
Blackthorne's POV:
I was watching as the Unit: E team went on their ship. I then called my employer. "Master Evox, this is Blackthorne. Those fools found the Furby."
"Exccccellent," says Evox, "return to basssse. The fun will begin soon."
Dr. Robertson's POV:
I was studying the creature. It was cute, but we still don't know anything about it. I then got up to get some water. When I returned, there were two of it.
"Where did you come from?"
There was a knock on my door. I went to answer it. It was Beach Head.
"Beach Head, always a pleasure." I did not mean that.
"I understand you brought an alien in the base."
"I already talked to the Director about it."
"He may approve, but I don't trust anything that isn't from this planet."
"To be honest, I'm not convinced you're from this planet. And besides, Jack, Miko, and Raf are friends with aliens."
"And the people from that same planet tried to destroy the world."
Beach Head then left and when I turned around, there were three.
"This could be a problem."
. . .
I then showed the three creatures to the others.
"So, triplets," asks Miko.
"I think it has the ability to generate copies of itself," I said.
"Great," says Miko, "so what should we call them, Huey, Dewey, and Louie?"
"You don't understand," I said, "who knows how many it could make. So far, it's only one at a time..."
"I'm sorry to interrupt," says Spike, "but where did they go?"
"Oh no," I said.
"Robertson," says Beach Head, "look what I found in my meat loaf." Beach Head had one of the creatures.
"I'm sorry, you can eat with that mask on," asks Miko.
"This kind of incompetence is somethin' I can expect from Hauser's team."
"We'll deal with you later," says Duke, "right now we have to find the others."
"Hey Duke," says Sergeant Slaughter, leader of Team 13, "does this thing belong to you?" The Sergeant held up another one of these things.
"Two down and one to go," says Miko, "unless there's more."
"Split up," says Duke.
"You better find them," says Beach Head, "or the Director's gonna hear..."
"Shut up, Beach Head," says Sergeant Slaughter, "how'bout you and I help them out?"
"Why should I..." The Sergeant then holds Beach Head up by the shirt. "On the other hand..."
"Let's go," says Duke.
. . .
I was at the monitors seeing everyone's progress. Jack and Miko checked the kitchen. They had to explain to Unit: E member Tyson Granger that they were not a couple. It was kind of funny. Anyway, Raf, Twilight, and Spike checked the gym. Duke and Nigel checked the restrooms. Beach Head had his team, Parker Bates, Laine Morris, and Jem, search and Sergeant Slaughter had his team, Action Man, Cameron Ruck, somebody's pet monster, and a dog named Lucky, search. I then had a thought and realized no one checked the room where Twilight learned about Chrysalis.
. . .
I decided to go there myself and I saw it. An army of these things. There were far too many. I then left the room.
"What are we dealing with?"
Then there was a call.
"Hello, this is Bumblebee."
"Bumblebee, my name is Dr. Don Robertson."
"Oh hey, Raf told me about you."
"Hi, I know this is making assumptions because you're an alien, but I can't think of anything else." I then held up one of those things. "Do you know what this is?"
"Where did you get a Furby?"
"I'll take that as a yes."
"When exposed to atmosphere, they multiply uncontrollably."
"That explains alot."
"The Government now owns the Decepticons' Space Bridge. You can use that to get rid of them."
"Okay, but how do we get them out."
"Sorry, I can't help you with that."
I remembered something Twilight told us.
. . .
Thanks to Twilight's friend, Fluttershy, we are able to lead the Furbies to the Space Bridge.
"This thing is amazing," says Twilight.
"Now we just have to pick a planet," says Miko, "and find a way to actually use it."
"Ra-Vu, Seeker of Lightning," says Nigel as his creature appears.
"I forgot he can do that," says Miko.
Ra-Vu uses the computer to have the Space Bridge transport the Furbies to Mars.
"I'm gonna miss those little guys," says Miko.
"Ah'm not," says Beach Head, "one of them took my mask!"
"I see your problem," says Duke, "you look better with it on."
"Watch it, Duke!"
"Let's go, guys," says Duke as we all left.
Evox's POV:
"Thissss issss not over, Unit: E. Not by a long shot."
I can't tell you anything about Cameron Ruck because the Micronauts show hasn't happened yet. Anyway, in the next chapter, the team will be meeting Dr. Edwin Steen and helping him save a man named Cavity Sam.
