Chapter 28: Flint:
Duke's POV:
It was the usual. I was just resting; Miko was trying to get Jack and Raf to play in her band; Twilight was doing research; Brightmore was trying to ignore everyone; and Dr. Robertson was studying the pod. Oh, and Spike was chewing on some socks. Then I got a call.
"Hello? Flint?" I then hung up. "Who's up for a trip to Egypt?"

We were on our way to Egypt. Apparently, Flint was with a team of archaeologists who discovered the tomb of Amtoltec.
Twilight was the most excited. "We're going to a real Egyptian Tomb! Can you believe it?"
"One is fie going to keep sitting here," says Brightmore.
"I brought the pod so I can keep studying it," says Dr. Robertson.
"So, who is this Flint guy," asks Miko.
"When I was running from the Law, Flint tried to take me in. We've known each other since high school."
"So, we're gonna save the guy who tried to arrest you," says Miko, "that sounds right."
"He's been trying to make it up to me for not believing me about Cobra Industries being evil even though I forgiven him for it."

We met up with Flint.
"So, this your new team, huh," says Flint.
"Yep," I said, "this is Dr. Roberston, Brightmore, Jack, Miko, Raf, Twilight, and Spike."
Flint looks down at Spike.
"Hi," says Spike.
"He's still more normal than Tunnel Rat."
"So, Flint, what happened?"
"I was helping Egyptologist, Cyril Adams. We were looking through the tomb and he read something about a curse."
"That's just superstitions," says Twilight.
"Says the magic girl," says Brightmore.
"Whoever touches the treasures of Amtoltec suffers the curse of Wajah Alwahsh."
"What," asks Miko.
"Translated," says Twilight, "that means 'Monster Face'."
"I'm guessing that happened," I said.
"He touched the treasure and he changed. His face looked like a skull, but he had these fangs and blisters and green slime coming out of his mouth and nose."
"Wait, his head was a skull with a nose," asks Miko.
"I know right," says Flint.
"We'll check it out," I said.
. . .
We split up. With me were Flint, Twilight, and Spike. We were walking through the tomb, and Twilight couldn't hold back her excitement.
"This is AMAZING!"
"They sure like cats here," says Spike.
"When we find the Professor," I said, "is there anything we should worry about?"
"Well, he tried to spit his slime at me."
"I have a bad feeling about that," I said.
Jack's POV:
Miko, Raf, and I were walking through a hall.
"I bet Beach Head's team never dealt with an Egyptian curse," says Miko.
"Yeah, I feel really lucky, "I said sarcastically.
"Guys, did you hear something," asks Raf.
We were not alone. We got into battle positions, then something spat green slime on Miko.
"Gross," Miko says as she turns to stone.
"It's Monster Face," I began. Then he spat on me...
Dr. Robertson's POV:
Brightmore and I searched through a hall.
"Maybe one of your creatures would be a big help," I suggested.
"Capital ideah," says Brightmore, "Cyber Samurai!"
Cyber Samurai then comes out.
"Haven't seen him for a while," I said.
Then Cyber Samurai turns to stone. I looked and saw some green slime.
"Brightmore, I think..."
Brightmore was turned to stone too.
"Oh no."
Then Monster Face spat on me.
Duke's POV:
"We better be on our guard," I said.
"Duke," says Raf flying in, "Monster Face got to Jack and Miko. They're stone now!"
I tried calling Brightmore and Dr. Robertson. "Brightmore, Dr. Robertson, come in! Over!" Nothing.
"UUUUUUUUUhhhhhhhhh... Duke," says Flint.
Twilight and Spike were turned to stone.
"Well, now we know what his spit does," says Flint, "turns you to stone."
"Let's move," I said.
. . .
We were running through the tomb, knowing Monster Face was around. I could hear his creepy hissing.
"Should I blast everywhere," asks Raf.
"And risk another curse," says Flint, "no thanks."
We all stopped at a wall with an image of Monster Face on it.
"Wait, look at this," says Raf, "it says to break the curse, we would need the power of the Silver Steel Scarab."
"What does that mean," asks Flint.
Then I heard him.
"He's coming," I said.
Flint touched a part of the wall, and it turned out to be a secret passage, and we all fell outside the tomb.
"That was a wild ride," says Raf.
Then we saw him exiting the tomb.
"Monster Face," I said.
Monster Face was prepared to spit at us, but Raf blasted him.
Monster Face then got up and spit at Raf, but Raf dodged, and it hit the jet, but instead of turning it to stone, it melted through like acid.
"Great, his spit does different things," I said.
The pod then started glowing and first, it scanned Raf, then a scarab beetle, then the pod opened and out came a large scarab.
"I'm alive! I'm alive! I don't know what reference I was making, but who cares? I'm alive." The scarab then transformed into a robot. "I may be making assumptions, but I'm going to assume the ugly guy is the bad guy."
"He's just under a curse that can be broken by a silver steel scarab," says Flint.
"Hey, I'm Silver, and I'm like Steel, and I'm kind of a scarab. I'm on it!"
The robot then fights Monster Face. He had the same Maximal powers Raf has.
"He's incredible," says Raf.
"Yeah, but what is he," asks Flint.
"It's a long story," I said.
"You ready to go for it," asks the robot. The robot then fires an energy blast at Monster Face. Monster Face tries to spit at him, but the robot punches him before he could. "Spitting is rude." The robot then picks up Monster Face and throws him around. Monster Face tries to attack again, but the robot does a final blow. "I win!"
Monster Face then turns back into a man. The rest of the team then came out.
"UUUUUUUUUhhhhhhhhh... who's the new guy," asks Miko.
"I'm the guy who just saved the day!"
Flint's POV:
After I said goodbye to Duke's team, they all left. There was one thing I didn't tell Duke. In the tomb, I found a strange disk. I don't know what it means, but...
Cobra Commander's POV:
Sorry, Flint can't finish this one, but let's just say, the disk is mine now.
In the next chapter, the team learns to adjust to their new member while working with the Treehouse Detectives to find the Rubix Cube.
