Chapter 31: Cobra:

Steel's POV:

Okay, this is my first-time narrating. Hey, I'm Steel. In case you missed something, I was a Cybertronian Protoform, then I scanned Raf, then a Scarab Beetle, making me the second Maximal Unit: E has ever met. Pretty cool, huhh? I'm a robot that can transform into a scarab, and I have human DNA. Now, I should tell you what happens in this adventure. Well, I walked right into the director's office, wearing a necktie.

"What do you want, Stee?"

"Hey Director, I was wondering if I can be a Unit: E agent, now? I'm wearing a tie."

"Steel, I'm still not sure if we can trust you..."

"Don't worry, I promise not to start a robot uprising. I'd make a great addition. My beast mode is awesome." I then transformed to my scarab form. "I'm a bug."

"Steel, it takes more than just turning to bugs. Now, I have to talk to Duke's team. I just got intel of something going on in Colorado."

"Can I go with them?"

"You're like a kid."

"Well, a kid's DNA was used to make me the way I am."

. . .

The Director was explaining the mission to Duke's team.

"Stretch Monster has been spotted in Colorado."

"What could he want there," asks Dr. Robertson.

"Unknown. You better get going."

The whole team was on their way. "Say, Director..."

"Fine, Steel, you can go."

"Yeah!"

. . .

We arrived in Colorado. Nice place.

"Okay Team," says Duke, "split up and keep an eye out for Stretch Monster."

We do just that.

. . .

I was with Dr. Robertson.

"Were you still trying to join the team," he asks.

"I hope the Director will let me in," I said.

"If it helps, the rest of us consider you a part of the team... well, we're not sure about Brightmore."

"Wait," I said, "I see something. It's Stretch Monster!" Stretch Monster was grappling away. I turned on my beast mode and flew after him. But at the time, I didn't realize someone was sneaking behind Dr. Robertson with a snake...

. . .

I was chasing after Stretch Monster as he was swinging on his arms.

"Freeze, you... rubber thing!"

"You won't catch me, robot."

"How dare you? I'm part human!"

We continued the chase, but Stretch Monster was hard to catch. It was like trying to catch Spider-Man, only with stretchy arms like Mr. Fantastic and instead of web swinging. Eventually, I cornered him.

"Now, you're coming with me," I said.

"Impressive, most impressive. Too bad he's going to escape!"

I looked and saw no one. It was a distraction. I looked again and saw Stretchy left.

"Darn."

I regrouped with the others.

"Any luck," asks Duke.

"I had him, but he got away," I said.

"That is a problem," says Dr. Robertson.

Duke then gets a call. "You're not going to believe this, but Stretch Monster just left the state."

"That's nice," says Miko sarcastically.

"We better get back to HQ," says Duke.

"Good idea," says Dr. Robertson.

We were back at the base. I was still bummed because I couldn't catch Stretch Monster. I then noticed Dr. Robertson going into the monitor room.

"Anything alright," I asked.

"I just want to make sure Stretch Monster didn't follow us," he said.

"Oh, okay then."

. . .

I entered the cafeteria. I can't eat any of the food, so I just watch everyone else eat. Boy, I wish I could join them. I wonder what eating is like.

"You okay, Steel," asks Raf.

"Oh, I'm fine. It's just... you know. I can't eat."

"I see how that's a problem," says Miko, "this must be pretty awkward."

"Sure is," I said, "plus I still blame myself for Stretch Monster getting away."

"Everyone makes mistakes," says Duke, "I'm sure it wasn't that bad..."

"He made me think there was someone behind me."

"That's... pretty bad," says Twilight.

"So, where's Dr. Robertson," asks Brightmore.

"He's checking the monitors," I said, "I'll go check on him."

. . .

When I went to check on him, I saw him with a snake wrapped around him.

"UUUUUUUUUhhhhhhhhh... Dr. Robertson, are you aware there's a snake on you..."

The snake then attacked me.

"Nice try, but you can't poison metal!"

"I think it's time to bring you back to your natural size," says Dr. Robertson. The snake then grows to gigantic size. "You see, I had to shrink him so he's easier to carry."

"You're not Dr. Robertson, are you?"

"No, my metallic friend, he's getting over a snake bite."

The imposter then walked off as I tried to avoid being swallowed by a giant snake. Duke then came in and blasted the snake.

"Duke, Dr. Robertson is not Dr. Robertson. He's somebody impersonating him!"

"What? Who... wait." Duke then gets a good look at the snake. "Serpentor?"

Cue the dramatic music.

We managed to put the snake in a cell and went out looking for the imposter. Apparently, Duke has an idea of what we're dealing with. Eventually, Duke and I found him.

"Well, look who's here." The hologram then disappeared, and we saw a man with a blank metal face.

"Cobra Commander!"

"Hello Duke. So good to see you again."

"This is Cobra Commander," I asked.

"Yeah, and I guess he found a way to make his own version of Zartan's suit."

"Stretch Monster lured your team out, and I was able to grab one and use their image to get into the base..."

"You're a snake," says Duke.

"I consider that a complement."

"Where the real Dr. Robertson," I asked.

"Don't worry, Stretch Monster's taking good care of him."

Duke then pinned Cobra Commander to a wall.

"I'd be careful if I were you," says Cobra Commander.

"What do you mean," asks Duke.

"Well, Stretch Monster was nice enough to make a... special friend for Serpentor. She should be coming soon, and she will tear this place apart if you do not let us go..."

"What kind of..." I then stopped and realized. "Oh, another giant snake is coming."

Miko then showed up. "Guys... Woah, nice mask. Anyway, there's a giant snake outside!"

"That would be Pythona!"

We were on our way.

"Oh Duke," says Cobra Commander, "in case you're wondering. Yes, I did kill Flint."

Duke was prepared to take Cobra Commander down, but there was something more important going on.

We all saw the giant snake that Cobra Commander called Pythona. She may be bigger than Serpentor.

"Why couldn't Cobra Commander be a cat person," asks Duke.

Brightmore summons Ra-Vu and he holds Pythona off.

"That is one determined snake," says Miko.

"We'll need a giant mongoose," says Twilight.

I then remembered what Cobra Commander said. 'Special friend.' I then raced to the cells.

I found Serpentor.

"I'm gonna regret this," I said. I then picked up the cell and took him outside.

Ra-Vu was still fighting Pythona.

"Hey, Queen Cobra," I said, "is this what you want?" I then let Serpentor out and the two snakes were reunited.

"That's so sweet," says Twilight.

"And gross," says Miko.

The two snakes then left.

. . .

I was meeting with the Director.

"I know you're upset about me letting Serpentor go..."

"I would've done the same thing," says Director Flag, "but we do have two other problems, one, Cobra Commander got away and two, he and Stretch Monster have Dr. Roberston!"

Cobra Commander's POV:

I was at our secret hideout. Serpentor and Pythona were there. Pythona licks me.

"You're going to need a towel," says Rook.

"Dr. Robertson?"

"Don't worry," says Rook, "I sent him to Gangrene."

"Good, he'll be a good distraction.

In the next chapter, the team will try to save Dr. Robertson from Gangrene, but Gangrene will bring back Multi-Farious. I could've mentioned Flint's death in the previous chapter, but I forgot. My bad.
