Chapter 32: Gangrene:
Jack's POV:
Last time, HQ was infiltrated by Cobra Commander, who was disguised as Dr. Robertson. We managed to stop him, but now he and Stretch Monster have the real Dr. Robertson. We figured they were being held at Rook's Tower in Charter City.
"Okay Team," says Duke, "let's rescue our friend."

Twilight, Brightmore, and I were in one hallway, sneaking around. We were trying to avoid being seen, then I heard something.
"Over here," I said.
Twilight then levitated something.
"Hey, put us down!"
We looked and saw it was the Flex Fighters.
"You're Stretch, Wingspan, and Omni-Mass," I said.
"And you're in trouble if you don't let us down," says Omni-Mass.
Twilight does that.
"Thanks," says Stretch, "who are you guys?"
"Uh..." I tried to think of an excuse, "it doesn't matter because a friend of ours was taken by Rook."
"Who is this friend," asks Wingspan.
"Well, I say - Dr. Dohn Robertsohn," says Brightmore.
"You guys know him," asks Stretch.
"We're his co-workers," says Twilight.
"And what is this job," asks Omni-Mass, "you guys with S.H.I.E.L.D.?"
"This is Duke."
"What's up," I asked.
"Steel and I are being attacked by some Snake Eyes wannabe."
"Probably Blindstrike," says Stretch.
"Wait, was that one of those former fugitives," asks Wingspan, "come to think of it, you guys know Rook's a bad guy and do you know we're the good guys?"
"We're not exactly friends with Rook right now ourselves," says Twilight.
"There's a place where Rook probably has your friend," says Stretch, "follow us."

We all met up in Rook's cells, where different Charter City supervillains were being held. Figuring we would have to trust these guys; Duke tells the Flex Fighters everything.
"So, the Doc formerly known as Multi-Farious is a spy now," asks Omni-Mass, "lucky."
"We still need to figure out where Cobra Commander and Stretch Monster have Dr. Robertson."
"Maybe ah can help," says a man in a cell. He didn't look like the others. He seemed more normal.
"We're not gonna trust you, Kane," says Stretch.
"Look, I was just trying to bring order to Charter City. Whatever Rook and this 'Cobra Commander' guy are up to, it will probably be nothing but chaos."
"Who is this guy," asks Miko.
"Malcolm Kane," says Wingspan, "he was the leader of an order obsessed group."
We all looked at Brightmore.
"Jolly hilaaaarrious," Brightmore says.
"Before you trusted Rook to help stop me," says Kane, "why can't you trust me to help stop him?"
"That... is actually a good point," says Wingspan.
"Do you know where they would keep Dr. Robertson," asks Duke.
"Rook has this associate who works in Africa. Professor Gangrene. But you will need me to help find him."
"Why do you wish to help us," asks Brightmore.
"I have my reasons and one of them is to get away from him."
We look and see a man.
"Agent Reynolds," asks Stretch.
"That man is an imposter."
Agent Reynolds takes off his face and reveals a strange gooey faceless head.
"Remember me. I was Mr. Rook's test subject."
"The Hyper-Flexarium guy," says Wingspan.
We ended up in a fight with this guy. Whatever he was, he was tough. Miko, Duke, and I used our NERF blasters. Raf and Steel used their maximal powers. Twilight used her telekinesis. Brightmore summoned Ra-Vu. The Flex Fighters used their powers. Blindstrike used their ninja skills. Eventually, Miko trapped the thing in a cell.
"Let me out of here! I haven't fed Cat yet!"
"Wait, Cat is your cat," asks Omni-Mass.
"Wait, there's a cat named cat," asks Twilight.
"We should go," says Stretch.
"You won't know where to find them," says Kane.
"He... has a point," says Duke.
"Okay, but we're coming with you," says Stretch, "in case Kane tries anything."
"Okay. Miss Blindstrike, if you please excuse me so I can free Kane," says Duke.
"Wait, how did you know Blindstrike was a girl," asks Stretch.
"Isn't it obvious," asks Duke.
Stretch and Blindstrike then look at each other.
. . .
We arrived in Africa.
"That thing you summoned," says Kane, talking to Brightmore, "what was it?"
"I'm terribly sorry but something that could rip your aaarms orf."
"You don't even know me."
"You aaare ah chap whoh couldn't handle the chaos, soh you went to spiffing lengths to control everything. One's daaarrrling, One practically am you and One dane't wish to jolly well goh ohn that pahth again."
"You understand the world is chaotic and it needs to be fixed."
"Soh, your ideah is to create chaos to stopp chaos."
"Look you..."
Our jet gets grabbed. Wingspan looks out the window.
"You guys aren't going to believe this, but it's Multi-Farious!"
Multi-Farious then throws us to the ground. We all managed to get out of the jet.
"Look," says Steel.
We all see a green man.
"Unit: E, I am Gangrene!"
"Did I forget to mention he was mutated by a woman named Dr. X," asks Kane.
"X, I should've known," says Duke. "Brightmore, summon Ra-Vu. He could probably fight Dr. Robertson but tell Ra-Vu not to hurt him. Unit: E, let's play rough!"
Brightmore summons Ra-Vu, who then fights Multi-Farious, but during the fight, Multi-Farious keeps breaking into pieces and the pieces keep coming to life.
We all try catching Gangrene, but he keeps jumping around and keeps trying to spit acid at us.
"This is just the first step. Once I capture you all, I will mutate you all!"
"Good luck trying to mutate me," says Steel.
"Raf, you get along with Dr. Robertson the most," I said, "maybe you can talk to him."
"I'll try," says Raf as he flies up. "Dr. Robertson, it's us. We're you friends!"
"Nice try, but I have him under my control!" Gangrene then jumps away.
"Split up and find him," says Duke.
. . .
Stretch and I were going through the African Jungle.
"So, how big were these 'Autobots'," asks Stretch.
"Well, they can turn into vehicles," I said.
"Fair point," says Stretch.
"What is Flexarium," I asked.
"It's hard to explain," says Stretch, "but let's just say, it's some weird stuff. It gave me, Wingspan, and Omni-Mass our powers."
"The world has changed," I said.
We were then ambushed by Gangrene.
"The world is changing for the better! It needs more mutations! Everyone must embrace their differences!" Stretch and I tried fighting Gangrene, but he won't stand still. "Having everything the same makes the world imperfect! The best way to improve the world, mutating everyone!"
"Kane's all about order and this guy's chaotic," says Stretch.
I then looked and saw a branch. I pulled it and when Gangrene lands, the branch hits him, knocking him out.

Stretch and I tied Gangrene up. He wakes up.
"Fools! You can't stop the revolution!"
"You're insane," says Stretch, "now, how do we turn Dr. Robertson back into Multi-Farious?"
"I will never talk!"
"Do it or we'll cure you," I said.
"NO! I need my beautiful deformity! Alright, my lab is at elephant graveyard. The one that looks like something from a Disney movie. And the band on my right arm, that's how I control him."
Stretch grabs it and breaks it. Stretch and I then leave.
"Wait a minute, if they could cure me, they would've been able to cure Multi... I'VE BEEN CONNED!"

We arrived with the cure and saw Multi-Farious has calmed down.
"Hey Jack, hey Stretch," says Multi-Farious, "sorry about what I've done."
"Should we really turn him back," asks Miko, "I think he'd be a big mean Cobra Commander kickin' machine!"
"If it's all the same, I think I'd rather be human again."
We then gave him the antidote and he was Dr. Robertson again.
"Thanks. That Gangrene was nuts."
"Wait," says Duke, "where's Kane?"
Cobra Commander's POV:
In the camp Mr. Rook and I have made, we saw Rook's old friend, Mr. Kane at my computer.
"Kane, how did you..."
"Easy Mr. Rook. I've come up with an offer. I know Cobra Commander's plan and I want in."
"Is that a fact," I asked.
"Your plan could help bring order to the world, and I'd be a lot of help to you both. So, am I in?"
"Here's the thing, Mr. Kane," says I said, "I need Mr. Rook's help, and I'm afraid I won't be able to put up with the animosity between you. I'm afraid I can only take one. And since Mr. Rook is already with me, Serpentor!"
Kane looks in horror as my pet swallows him whole.
"I really like that snake," says Mr. Rook.
"Come, we have much to do."
"There's one thing. What is your plan?"
"In good time, my friend. In good time."
In the next chapter, the team will have to make a deal with the Velgrox.
