Chapter 35: The Adventure Team:
Duke's POV:
Now we have three problems, Cobra Commander, Stretch Monster, and the Choten. They took something from the Duel Masters, but even the Duel Masters don't know what it is.
"We need to figure out what The Society of Ultimate Villainy is up to," says Steel.
"The Who What of Huhh," asks Miko.
"Cobra Commander, Stretch Monster, and the Choten," says Steel, "I don't know, I got it from a Ciro Nieli cartoon."
"Don't worry," I said, "we're going to find out what they're up to."
Cobra Commander's POV:
I brought Mr. Rook and August to a table and showed them the map.
"All this for a map," asks Rook.
"Gentlemen, this map will lead us to the pieces of the Infinity Sword."
"And what is this Infinity Sword," asks Choten.
"The Infinity Sword will give up power over time, space, and reality. With it, we will make all our desires come true. Now, who's ready to go visit General Colton?"
Duke's POV:
"We just got intel," says Director Flagg, "the... what did you call them, Steel?"
"The Society of Ultimate Villainy," says Steel.
"Right, them. Anyway, they're in Central Falls, Rhode Island."
"Anyone important there," asks Miko.
"There is on man," says Director Flagg, "General Joe Colton."
"Wait," I said, "General Joe Colton? the Original G.I. Joe?"
"That's the one, Duke."
"He's the leader of the Adventure Team. He's the reason why I called my old team 'The Joes'."
"Fanboy," says Miko. Twilight laughs at that.
"You guys better get going," says Director Flagg.
"Yes Sir," I said.
"By the way, we have someone who will be joining you."
"S'up, Duke."
It was Roadblock, one of my Renegade friends.
"Roadblock, good to see you," I said.
"So, we gonna go," asks Roadblock.
. . .
We were on the jet and on our way to Central Falls.
"So, you three hung out with giant alien robots that disguised as vehicles," asks Roadblock.
"Yep," says Miko.
"And you can summon monsters from another dimension," asks Roadblock.
"Indeed," says Brightmore.
"And you were a giant monster with living body parts," asks Roadblock.
"Pretty much," says Dr. Robertson.
"And you have a magic power from a pony dimension," asks Roadblock.
"Yep," says Twilight.
"And you're half-human/half-robot/half-beetle," asks Roadblock.
"That's right," says Steel.
"And you're a talking dog," asks Roadblock.
"Yep," says Spike.
"Man, Duke. Your new job's alot weirder than the old one."
"Just be glad you never met Evox," I said, "and we're here."

We were in Central Falls.
"Split up and ask around," I said.
We did so.
Miko's POV:
Twilight, Brightmore, and I checked out Central Street School. We asked if anyone there knew General Colton. No one has seen him. Then the Choten showed up.
"I see you're all looking for General Colton too," says Choten, "Squillace Scourge!"
"Ra-Vu, Seekah of Lightning," says Brightmore.
The two Creatures then fought.
Raf's POV:
Steel, Dr. Robertson, and I were at Jenks Park & Cogswell Tower. The people there haven't seen General Colton. Also, they freaked out because of Steel's robotic appearance.
"Maybe if I transformed..."
"Into a giant scarab," asks Dr. Robertson.
"Umm... good point."
"I think you should embrace it," says Stretch Monster.
Dr. Robertson gets out a NERF blaster, but Stretch Monster knocks it out of his hand.
"Raf and I can handle him," says Steel as he and I activate our Maximal powers.
Duke's POV:
Jack, Roadblock, and I were at an apartment building. The landlord told us where to find General Colton's apartment. I knocked on the door, and the General answered.
"What do you want," he asks.
"General Colton," I said.
"Who wants to know?"
"I'm Sergeant Conrad Hauser. This is Corporal Marvin Hinton..."
"Actually, while you were being a secret agent, I got promoted to Captain."
"Really?"
"Guess I forgot to tell you that. My bad."
"Well, this is Jack Darby."
"What's this about?"
"Well... a masked man might be after you. We don't know why..."
"Get in."
. . .
"I led one of the finest teams America has ever known. Under the orders of President Kennedy, Atomic Man, Bulletman, and Stalker. My codename was G.I. Joe. Some say I was a real American hero. But personally, I'd say there's still Captain America. Anyway, we were up against General Blitz and his organization, IRON, International Robotic Operations Network. Blitz had a machine, and we had no idea what it was until we saw it. He was opening a rift and was summoning the Infinity Sword. It was locked in between dimensions. My guess is with a powerful force to make sure no one uses it."
"What is the Infinity Sword," asks Jack.
"Probably the most powerful thing in the Universe," says General Colton, "it can give you power over time, space, and reality. This Cobra Commander, how bad is he?"
"Bad doesn't begin to describe him," I said.
"Well, the sword could turn him into an 80's cartoon villain. General Blitz was going to use it to take over the Universe, but then I wrestled him for it. The fight led to the sword shattering into shards. We each have one. Mine's in a secret place. I think this Cobra Commander and his team are after the shards so they can use the Infinity Sword for their own nefarious purposes."
"Can you tell us where your shard is" I asked.
"Only if you really want to find it," says General Colton, "the individual shards are unstable. I touched it and it turned me from G.I. Joe to G.I. Jane."
"So, no bare hands, got it," says Roadblock.
Then there's a knock on the door.
"I take it you didn't order pizza," says Jack.
"Doctors tell me not to," says General Colton.
The door is then kicked down by Cobra Commander.
"That him," asks General Colton.
"Yep," I said.
"Surrender the shard," says Cobra Commander.
"I got him," I said as I tackled Cobra Commander to the ground. We wrestled.
Miko's POV:
Ra-Vu was still fighting Squillace. Squillace wrapped his tentacles around Ra-Vu, but Ra-Vu manages to shock him. Wait, is Squillace a him? Oh well.
"I just got a call from Jack," says Twilight, "they found General Colton and Cobra Commander's there."
"Great, too bad we have our own problem," I said.
"You jolly well goh find Duke, Jack, and Roadblock," says Brightmore, "Ra-Vu and I has the Choten."
Twilight and I then ran off.
Raf's POV:
Steel and I were fighting Stretch Monster. Dr. Robertson then had a call.
"I just heard from Jack," says Dr. Robertson, "he, Duke, and Roadblock found General Colton and Cobra Commander's there."
"You guys go," says Steel, "I have Stretch Monster."
Dr. Robertson and I then left.
Duke's POV:
I'm still fighting Cobra Commander. He manages to knock me off.
Cobra Commander then grabbed General Colton's umbrella and threw it. I managed to dodge, but the umbrella hits a vase, but it's not a vase, it's a trigger for a secret door that reveals a container that has the shard.
"There it is," says Cobra Commander.
He gets up and walks towards it, but Roadblock grabs him.
"Sorry Mirror Face, but I ain't letting you get anywhere near that thing..." Cobra Commander then steps on Roadblock's foot. "AARRGHH!"
Cobra Commander then pushes Roadblock to the ground.
"Pathetic fool." Cobra Commander was heading for the shard, but then Jack gets in the way.
"And what are you going to do?"
"I... I can't let you get to the shard," says Jack.
"Out of my way, Boy."
I then grabbed him again. Cobra Commander then elbows me and jumps out of the window.
"You guys take the shard to the others," I said, "I'm going after Cobra Commander!"
I jumped out.
Brightmore's POV:
Our creatures are still fighting.
"So, what's it like being a secret agent," asks Choten.
"You can't manipulate myself again!"
"I'm just saying, I don't recognize the world anymore. Now there's aliens, mutants, Inhumans, robots that act like humans." Ra-Vu defeats Squillace. "That's my cue to leave." The Choten leaves.
Jack's POV:
We all regrouped. General Colton gave us the container with the shard, but there was one thing.
"Where's Duke," asks Miko.
"Probably still going after Cobra Commander," I said.
Duke's POV:
I was held prisoner by Cobra Commander, Stretch Monster, and the Choten. I was tied to a chair.
"So, what do we do with him," asks Stretch Monster.
"We could feed him to the snakes," says Choten.
"I decide what we do," says Cobra Commander, "we may have a use for him."
In the next chapter, Stretch Monster and Choten decide they are tired of being Cobra Commander's lackeys.
