Chapter 40: Stalker:
Raf's POV:
It was great to have Duke back, but there's still one thing we have to deal with. Find the shards of the Infinity Sword before the Society of Ultimate Villainy does. The next member of the Adventure Team to look for is Lonzo R. Wilkinson AKA Stalker.
"We find him," says Duke, "we get the shard before the Society do."
"But what if the Society show up," asks Twilight.
"Well, I do have a score to settle with Cobra Commander. Let's go team."
Cobra Commander's POV:
I was sitting with Mr. Rook and Choten.
"So," says Rook, "think they fixed Duke?"
"Most likely," I said.
"Well, we found Stalker," says Choten.
"Then we should get going, shouldn't we?"
Steel's POV:
I was getting ready to take on those SUV goons when Spike came in.
"Oh, hello Spike."
"Hey Steel, I was just thinking, do you think Duke's up for this?"
"What do you mean? You're not worried he's going to turn evil again, are you?"
"No, I mean he did just get freed from the brain washing. I'm worried he's still recovering."
"Duke's a tough soldier. I'm sure he can handle anything."
"I hope you're right."
Jack's POV:
We headed for the jet. We have to get ready to find Stalker and get the shard before Cobra Commander does.
"Okay team," says Duke, "who's ready to go?"
"Hope you don't mind if I tagged along," says Roadblock.
"Of course not," says Duke, "let's go."
Twilight's POV:
We arrived in Detroit. The Motor City.
"Too bad the Autobots didn't hide here," says Miko, "it's like a paradise for cars."
"Let's go team," says Duke.
"Right," says Steel as he accidently bumps into a cop, "sorry, Officer."
"This is why I hate machines."
"How often do you bump into one," asks Steel.
Stretch Monster's POV:
I was on the roof of a building when I saw the Unit: E team arriving. I then got out a flute.
"Time to give the signal."
I played the flute, and it woke up Serpentor.
"It's Serpentor," says Duke.
"I'll take care of this slimy serpent," says Steel as he fights Serpentor.
Such a brave and stupid machine.
Dr. Robertson's POV:
While Steel was keeping Serpentor busy, the rest of us were on the move when we ran into the Choten.
"Going somewhere," asks Choten.
"You don't scare us," says Miko.
"Squillace Scourge!" The Choten's creature appears.
"Okay, maybe that does scare us."
"Ra-Vu, Seekah of Lightning," says Brightmore as his creature appears. "Ra-Vu and One will deal with Choten. You all jolly well goh!"
We then ran off.
Roadblock's POV:
We continued but then we ran into Stretch Monster.
"Did you think it would be that easy," he asks.
"So, who wants to keep him busy," asks Miko.
"I'll do it," I said, "I'm strong enough."
"You wish to take me on, Corporal?"
"Bring it, Ugly."
Stretch Monster and I then wrestled, allowing the others to get away.
Spike's POV:
As we were all running, Pythona came.
"I can handle her," says Twilight.
"Wait," says Duke, "I think that's what they..."
Pythona then slammed her tail on the ground, separating Duke and me from the rest.
"What do we do," asks Spike.
"We have to keep running," says Duke, "but we will come back for them. I never leave anyone behind. Let's go!"
Brightmore's POV:
The Choten and One continued our duel.
"Do you really want to stay with this group," asks Choten, "I mean, imagine what you could do if you had the Infinity Sword."
"I'm terribly sorry but you aaare not going to convince myself to come to your side again," One said.
"But Nigel, we're talking about making the world a better place."
"Fancy you evah truly caaared."
"Okay, suit yourself."
Our creatures continued to battle.
Raf's POV:
Duke and Spike were gone. Probably looking for Stalker. Twilight's magic and my Maximal powers were fighting Pythona. Jack, Miko, and Dr. Robetson had their NERF blasters.
"Seriously," says Miko, "what is with this guy and his snakes?"
We kept trying, but Pythona kept tail-whipping us. Eventually, I had an idea. I then flew and let Pythona swallow me...
Miko's POV:
We all saw Pythona swallow Raf. It was horrible.
"Raf," says Jack.
"Is he..." begins Twilight.
"That snake is going to pay," says Dr. Robertson.
Why would Raf do something like this... Something's wrong with Pythona. Pythona then explodes and Raf comes out.
"That's one less problem," says Raf.
We then all ran to him.
Steel's POV:
Serpentor's a tough one. I was having a lot of trouble. But then, he started acting strange. Serpentor then slithered away.
"What was that about?"
Roadblock's POV:
I continued my little dance with Stretch Monster. I was having trouble keeping up with him because of his stretchy powers.
"Did you really think it would be that simple," asks Stretch Monster.
He was then about to attack, but I grabbed a stop sign and hit him with it. I then grabbed his limbs and tied him up in himself.
"I can see you're tied up at the moment," I said.
Duke's POV:
Spike and I finally made it to Stalker's place. We weren't sure what to expect, but when I knocked on the door, it opened. We walked in and saw Stalker on the ground and there was blood.
"You weren't expecting this, were you," asks Cobra Commander, who was sitting in a chair with the shard in a container.
"What do we do now," asks Spike.
"This," I said.
I then fought Cobra Commander. The fight was basically us trying to punch each other. I managed to trip him and grabbed the container.
"We're taking you in," I said.
Serpentor then came and Cobra Commander jumped on his head.
"Another time, Duke." Cobra Commander and Serpentor then left.
Spike's POV:
We were back at the base with the shard.
"Well, at least Raf took out Pythona," says Miko.
"That's one down," says Duke.
"There's more," says the Director, "we got word that the rest of the shards have been found and check out who got them."
We all looked.
"Hey Duke, our old crew has one," says Roadblock.
"And so do the Flex Fighters," says Dr. Robertson.
"And the Duel Masters," says Brightmore.
"And our friends, Spike," says Twilight.
"And Agent Fowler," says Miko.
"Well, looks like we're going to be picking them up," says Duke.
Cobra Commander's POV:
I have just learned the whereabouts of the rest of the shards. Now, all I need to do is collect them. As for Pythona, poor Serpentor, losing his mate. But it's not a complete loss. I then had my hand on an egg.
In the next chapter, Duke and Roadblock will be picking up a shard from the Renegades Team, but Cobra Commander will be attacking.
