Chapter 46: Serpentor's Child:
Steel's POV:
After all that, we are finally reunited, and it feels so good. Everyone has a shard, except for Twilight.
"I had the shard sent to Equestria. I figured if anyone can keep it safe, those ponies can."
"Yeah, well, our shard created Two Combiner Warriors," says Miko.
"One's shaaard sepaaarated Tatsurion's Nature Side mwah mwah sweetie his Fire Side," says Brightmore.
"Well, team," says Duke, "let's put these with the others."

We put the shards in the vault with the other shards. Just look at them. And to think, they form the Universe's most powerful weapon when combined. Who knows what else they're capable of? Maybe a shard can make me human. I probably shouldn't try because there's a good chance it might make me a normal bug that could be stepped on.
"It was kind of nice seeing my friends again," says Twilight.
"I know what you mean kid," says Roadblock.
Then the alarm went off. The Director came.
"It's the Society," says Director Flagg, "they're on Griffin Rock!"

We arrived in Griffin Rock. The Rescue Bots fought off Serpentor and Squillace Scourge.
"I really don't like these things," says Blades.
"Unit: E should be coming," says Chief Burns.
"We're here," says Duke, "Unit: E, let's play rough!"
"Our battle cry is better," says Heatwave.
"We have to find the Society themselves," says Duke.
"We're right here," says Cobra Commander with Stretch Monster and Choten standing next to him.
"Something's not right," says Duke, "why attack a town like Griffin Rock? Is there even a shard here?"
"Maybe we're just mad you keep getting in our way," says Cobra Commander.
"Cobra Commander," says Twilight, "do you by any chance... know a ram named Grogar?"
Cobra Commander then looks stung... I think... it's hard to tell with his mask. He should go with a yes.
"I... might have heard of him."
"Enough talk," says Stretch Monster as he stretches his arm and grabs Raf and then stretches away.
"Hang on, Raf," I said as I was chasing them.
The Choten then runs.
"This time," says Roadblock, "I got Long Haired Silver!"
Cobra Commander then runs.
"I'll go after Cobra Commander," says Duke, "you guys keep the civilians safe."

I was still chasing Stretch Monster, but then Raf managed to break free. Now the two of us were taking on Stretch Monster.
"Bring it on, boys," says Stretch Monster.
Roadblock's POV:
I was still chasing the Choten. Eventually, he stops in front of a house.
"Better give up," I said.
"Have you met my new friends, Evan and Miles?"
Two identical twins come out with dangerous looking weapons.
"This is gonna be sweet," one of them says.
Duke's POV:
I was chasing Cobra Commander. Then he stopped.
"It's over," I said.
"Don't you think it's strange I would run, only for you to chase me?"
"What do you mean? Is this a trap?"
"More like a distraction."
Jack's POV:
We were getting the civilians to safe places. Spike had trouble catching a guy in a propeller pack. Then I saw a baby carriage on the move. I ran to catch it. When I finally got it, I checked on the baby. There was no baby; it was a snake that then bit me. I fell to the ground...
Steel's POV:
The Society managed to get away, and when we regrouped, we learned Jack was poisoned. We took him to the Rescue Bots' base.
"What kind of snake was it," asks Dani.
"It was probably Serpentor's kid," says Duke, "he had a mate, but... she's gone now."
"Well, we don't know what kind of snake it was," says Graham, "we may need some help."
"I already called Jack's Mom," says Miko, "she's a nurse. Agent Fowler opened a ground bridge to get her here."
. . .
Nurse Darby arrives. She tried to help her son.
"We're going to need the snake that bit him," she says, "if I could figure the venom out..."
"Then let's go find that snake," I said.
"Easy Steel," says Duke, "there's still one issue. We don't know where the Society is. When you guys freed me from their brainwashing, you erased my memories of their location."
"Well, we can't just sit here!"
"I'm with Steel," says Spike, "we gotta do something."
"Perhaps we can use deductive reasoning to find their location," says Chase.
"Good thinking Partner," says Chief Burns, "we'll try it."
I then had a strange call.
. . .
I went to a private area to answer it.
"Hello Steel."
"Cobra Commander? How did you get this number?"
"Never mind that. I have the antidote poor Jack would need."
"How did you know the snake would bite Jack?"
"Actually, it could've been anyone that didn't give chase. I just learned it was Jack. Anyway, I'm giving you, my location. Bring me the shards your team has collected, and I will give you the antidote."
I probably shouldn't, but Jack needs help.
. . .
I was about to head back to the base when...
"Where are you going," asks Spike.
"I was... uh..."
"Did you find a way to save Jack," asks Spike.
"Uh... maybe?"
"Then I wanna come with you?"
"Spike, I don't think..."
"Please, I want to save Jack too."
"I'm sorry..."
"Okay, but should I let the others know?"
I had no choice.
. . .
Spike and I were at the base, at the vault.
"Are we really going to trade these shards to Cobra Commander?"
"Once we get the antidote, we are taking the shards back," I said.
"I don't think that will be easy," says Spike.
"Don't worry, I have a plan. It mostly involves kicking Society Butt. It's a great plan."
. . .
We arrived at the Society's base. According to Spike, it was Evox's old lair. We only kept thinking of a place Cobra would own. We never thought of that. We met up with Cobra Commander.
"Do you have the shards," he asks.
"Do you have the antidote," I asked.
Cobra Commander reveals it. I handed him the shards and he... drops the antidote.
"By the way, now that you know where we are..."
Serpentor shows up.
"A double-cross," shouted Spike.
"That... interferes with my plan a bit," I said.
"Ya think," shouted Spike once more.
Yeah... I didn't think this through.
Serpentor tries to attack, and I fight back against the big snake. Spike tries to attack Cobra Commander, but the little snake tackles him.
"Well done, Slytherin."
"Slytherin," asks Spike.
"I'm a big Voldemort fan."
"Well, even if you do have the shards, there is still one. Twilight hid it in another dimension..."
"Silly mutt," says Cobra Commander, "I had Slytherin sneak into your... Equestria and take the shard. Those simple-minded ponies probably didn't even notice him."
"Oh."
I continued to fight Serpentor, but he was too determined to take me out. I guess he figures ending me will get back at Raf for destroying Pythona. Anyway, I managed to find his pressure point and he stopped.
"Now that that's done..."
As Cobra Commander was about to leave with his shards, I knocked him out. I then took the shards and grabbed Spike and Slytherin and left.
"I'll admit, this was not my most brilliant plan," says Cobra Commander.
. . .
"You should've told us," says Duke, "Cobra Commander almost had the shards."
"I know. I'm sorry. But at least we have the antidote."
Jack was cured and Slytherin was locked up.
"Kind of cute... for a creature born of evil," says Miko.
"Maybe we can reform him," suggests Spike.
"One thing, how are you Jack," asks Duke.
"I feel better."
"Good, but you still need to rest. And we should be glad that Cobra Commander didn't get the shards."
"Except for the shard I hid in Equestria, apparently," says Twilight.
Cobra Commander's POV:
My plan was foiled. Then Rook came in.
"That didn't go well. Luckily, I got someone that can help." Then a breeze came by. "Say hello to Nanosec."
Nanosec then stopped.
In the next chapter, Nanosec helps the Society get the shards.
