Chapter 49: Retaliation:
Roadblock's POV:
We just helped save the world from Martians, but during it, Duke was killed by Cobra Commander, and he's going to pay. Everyone was grieving. Even Beach Head, who doesn't like us, came in.
"Ah'm... really sorry about what happened," he said. Then he left.
I got up. "So, we're just going to sit here and do nothing? That snake needs to pay for what he did!"
"Duke wouldn't want us looking for revenge," says Jack.
"Yeah? Well, thanks to Cobra Commander, he ain't here!" I then walked out.

I made a call. "It's me. I want you to meet me at that Diner on Main Street."

I was at the diner then the guy I was meeting with came in. Snake-Eyes. His ninja like appearance made everyone uncomfortable.
"How would you like to help me get some payback on Cobra Commander?" Snake-Eyes said nothing. "I know it's risky, but we gotta make him pay!" Snake-Eyes looked like he was thinking. "I'm gonna need your help." Snake-Eyes then nods. "Thanks man. Now, let's go hunt down a snake."

We went to the Society's hideout that Steel and Spike discovered. I don't know if they're still there, but it's the best we could get. Then I heard something.
"Who's there?" It was Stormshadow. "You still working for Cobra Commander?"
"I assure you; I am not. Snake-Eyes invited me."
"Can I trust you?"
"I am not the same man I once was."
"Alright... I'll go with it for now. Anyway, we've got to get in. If the Society is still home, then this is our best chance."
Cobra Commander's POV:
We were all watching them.
"I told you we should've moved," says Mr. Rook.
"Since you did that bold move, they're probably more determined to take us down," says Choten.
"I say we just take these guys out," says Mr. Sexton.
"Why don't you go play with them," I asked.
"The fastest man on the planet will make short work out of them." He then runs off.
Roadblock's POV:
We were trying to find a way in, but then something ran past us.
"What was that," asks Stormshadow.
"Nanosec," I said, "he's got a suit that allows him to move superfast!"
Nanosec then stops. "I'm taking you out for trespassing!"
"I believe you mean taking us in," says Stormshadow.
"That's no fun."
Nanosec then ran circles around us, literally. We tried to take him down, but he just moved too fast. Then Snake-Eyes stuck out his foot. I don't get his plan; his legs ain't that nice. Nanosec, then trips. Now I get it.
"Hey, that was..." Stormshadow then breaks Nanosec's leg. "GAHH!"
"That should keep him busy," says Stormshadow.
The door then opens.
"Let's go in," I said.
Cobra Commander's POV:
"Poor Nino," I said, "he didn't do too well."
"My turn," says Choyrn.
Roadblock's POV:
We were walking down the halls.
"Strange place," says Stormshadow.
"It used to belong to a computer virus," I said.
Then some tentacles grabbed us.
"Hello my friends," says the Choten.
"What is this beast," asks Stormshadow.
"The Choten can summon them from another dimension," I said.
"And Squillace is hungry," says Choten.
Stormshadow managed to break free and tried to fight off the tentacles. They kept attacking him, and he kept fighting them with his sword. Stormshadow then goes to the Choten.
"Send your creature back to its world!"
"I could do that... or this could happen."
A tentacle grabs Stormshadow. He then kicks the Choten, knocking him out.
"Man, he's the only one that can send this thing back," says Roadblock, "I ain't a master of Kaijudo!"
"I wonder..." Stormshadow then escapes its grasp again and starts running around the thing. He then hits something, and it's knocked out. "I found its pressure point."
"Then let's go," I said.
Cobra Commander's POV:
"Looks like it's your turn, Mr. Rook."
"This is gonna be fun."
Roadblock's POV:
We were walking down another hallway, but I thought I heard something.
"Hey guys, did you..."
Something knocked them out. It was Stretch Monster.
"Good day, Mr. Block... or may I call you, Road?"
"You can call me the guy who kicks your butt!"
I then fought him. It wasn't easy because his arms were stretching. He wrapped them around me, but I stepped on his foot.
"GAHH!"
He then stretched his leg to kick me, but I dodged. I then grabbed his arms and tied them around him. Snake-Eyes and Stormshadow then wake up.
"Cobra Commander has gotten some... interesting friends," says Stormshadow.
"Tell me about it."
We then continued.
Jack's POV:
I looked around and noticed someone missing.
"Guys, where's Roadblock," I asked.
"He told me he was getting some milk," says Steel.
"Shouldn't this place has enough milk for everyone," says Miko.
"I don't know, I can't even drink milk," says Steel.
"What if he went out to find Cobra Commander," asks Twilight.
"We have to go," I said.
Roadblock's POV:
We finally found Cobra Commander's office. I kicked the door down.
"Alright, Cobra Commander, put your hands up," I said.
He does so.
"I'm surrounded. Go ahead."
I then grabbed Cobra Commander by the jacket.
"Wait," says Stormshadow, "I thought we were here to bring him in."
"He has to pay for what he did!"
"Roadblock, I wasted my time obsessing over revenge. It nearly destroyed me. I wanted to kill Snake-Eyes... for something that was my fault! Don't make the same mistake I made."
"I didn't kill Duke, he did!"
"True, but you could still become your own worst enemy."
I then saw my reflection in his mask. This isn't the kind of man I want to be. I then let him go.
"I knew you didn't have the guts," he said, "now!"
The other three show up.
"I heal fast," says Nanosec.
Serpentor then showed up.
We were surrounded, but then the jet blasted a hole in the ceiling and a rope ladder came down.
"Grab on," says Raf.
We grabbed on and made our way out.
"This is far from over," says Cobra Commander.

After I got chewed out by the Director, I met with the others.
"That was a dumb move," says Miko, "but luckily, I did the same once. I took out an insecticon."
"Roadblock, we need to work as a team," says Dr. Robertson.
"I know, and I promise, I will do better. Especially with my talk with the Director. I am now an official agent of Unit: E."
"That's a weird punishment," says Steel.
"Actually, my punishment is cleaning up after Spike. We are going to work together to bring that snake down."
We all joined hands. "For Duke!"
In the next chapter, the team learns how the Infinity Sword can be remade.
