Chapter 58: The Martian:
Jack's POV:
We were back at HQ watching Changobots.
"This has to be a rip-off of the Transformers," says Miko.
Then the Director came in.
"You guys have a mission," he says, "something just landed in Bellwood. Something from space."
"Where the heck is Bellwood," asks Miko, "I've never heard of it."
"They say it's the 'Most Normal Place on Earth'," the Director says, "better make sure it stays that way."
A Little Girl's POV:
My name is Emily Tyler. I'm 8-years-old and I have trouble making friends. Everyone sees me as weird. So, I'm alone. I was walking down the sidewalk.
"Hey, look, it's 'I'm Weird'." The other kids are mean and really bad with nicknames.
Then I saw something fall from the sky. I ran over to it.

I took a look at it and saw it was a spaceship. A real alien spaceship. It opened and a lizard-like baby came out. I don't know what it is, but I think I finally found a real friend.
Jack's POV:
We arrived in Bellwood. It's a pretty nice town. I just hope whatever alien landed here is a safe one.
"Okay, Team," I said, "let's split up and look around."

Twilight and I checked a house. I knocked on it. A man answered.
"Sir, we're... uh... reporters for our school's newspaper," I said.
The man noticed Twilight's purple skin. "Um... skin condition."
"Anyway, Mr..."
"Oh, Tennyson, Carl Tennyson."
"Mr. Tennyson. Have you noticed anything strange?"
"In Bellwood. Nothing ever really happens here."
"Thank you for your time, Mr... wait, are you related to a Ben Tennyson," I asked.
"You know my Son?"
"We're pretty tight with him," says Twilight.
"Well, I better go, me and my wife are adopting a baby girl from the Xiaolin Adoption Agency."
"Really, Ben's gonna be a big brother, that's awesome." I said in excitement.
Dr. Robertson's POV:
Brightmore and I were checking out Madison Elementary. We saw some kids in summer school. They all seemed normal. Then we ran into a man.
"I'm Principal Edward White, but I have no idea who you are. May I see your visitor's pass?"
We then decided to book it.
Roadblock's POV:
Miko and I were at Mr. Smoothie's. We were checking if the alien was hiding in the smoothies. They were all clean, but...
"How are you two going to pay for all the smoothies?"
"Uh... put it on our tab," asks Miko.
"I'm pretty sure you've never even been here before."
Steel's POV:
Arashi and I were at a grocery store.
"Are you a robot," asks the guy who runs the store.
"We'll ask the questions here," I said, "am I a robot?"
"Has anything weird landed in town," asks Arashi.
"None that I know of..."
"He's stalling," I said, "let's trash this place!"
I then started trashing the place.
Jack's POV:
We all regrouped.
"Well, Twilight and I met Ben 10's Dad," I said.
"Dr. Robertson and I might get sued by an elementary school," says Brightmore.
"Miko and I owe Mr. Smoothie's money," says Roadblock.
"That Baumann guy yelled at me," says Steel.
"So, now what," asks Arashi.
"We keep looking," I said, but then I saw something strange. An 8-year-old girl handing an ice cream cone to a bush. Something comes out of the bush and eats it. "Over there!"
We all walked over to the bush. The girl sees us, and something comes out and shoots a laser at us. The girl then grabs it and runs.
"Was that what I think it was," asks Miko.
"What was that thing," asks Arashi.
"It was a Martian," says Twilight.
"A what," asks Arashi.
"A creature from the planet Mars," says Steel, "it's the Red Planet next to Earth."
"Martians are lizard like creatures that can shoot lasers from their claws," says Raf, "our friend, Ben 10, he can turn into one."
"And that little girl has one," says Dr. Robertson, "but it's smaller than the ones we fought."
"It's probably a baby," I said.
"Well, if the Adult Martians find out we have their child here, they might go back to trying to destroy us," says Brightmore.
"Wait, we made peace with them," says Steel, "maybe they'll realize it's a misunderstanding."
King Nivram's POV:
I am Nivram, the King of Mars. I spoke with one of my Generals, Hajed. She seemed distress.
"Are you alright, General?"
"My King, my Son accidently got on one of the pods. I would ask if I can go to Earth to find him."
"I almost lost my child, so I know what it's like. You have my permission."
"Thank you, my King. I still don't trust those Earthlings. If anything happens to my Siroht, I will show no mercy!"
Jack's POV:
We asked around about the little girl.
"What's she looks like," asks this one kid.
"Blonde hair, blue dress... she kind of looks like Alice," I said.
"Probably 'I'm Weird'."
"Okay, well, sorry for your low self-esteem..."
"No, her name's Emily Tyler and 'I'm Weird' is what we call her."
"If that's your idea of a nickname, then you're the weird one," I said.

We found Emily's house. Apparently, she's not very popular.
"So, she's a weird kid who has trouble making friends and decided to make an alien her new best friend," says Miko, "I think I saw that movie."
"We have to find a way to grab the Martian Baby before this whole town gets in trouble," I said.
"I got it," says Steel, "I'll disguise as an Animal Control officer!"
"One think she'll notice your obvious robotic appeaaarance," says Brightmore.
Steel thinks, then snaps his finger and turns to his scarab mode.
"They'll notice that too," says Twilight.
"It's a good plan," I said, "but I have one change, Roadblock will be the Animal Control officer."
"That works too," says Steel.
. . .
Roadblock knocks on the door and a man answers.
"Sir, my name is Marvin F. Hinton," says Roadblock, "I'm with Animal Control. Was that your daughter I saw earlier."
"No, my sister. Our parents died and I've been looking after her."
. . .
"Just wait, pretty soon, we're gonna see a one-eyed dude in a dress," says Miko.
. . .
"She has a dangerous animal, and we need to take it in," says Roadblock.
"Sir, I'm pretty sure I would've noticed if she had anything dangerous. You can't get anything past me. There could be a robot hiding in that bush over there and I would know."
"Or guess," says Roadblock.
"I think you were mistaken," says Emily's brother, "good day."
He closes the door.

This wasn't a good idea, but we went with it. Steel turns to his scarab mode and sneaks in to grab the baby.
"We just have to wait for Steel," I said.
Steel comes out.
"Bad news," he says, "the girl and the baby are both gone."
"What about Emily's Brother," asks Twilight.
"He was knocked out," says Steel.
But apparently, he wakes up and comes out.
"WHERE IS MY SISTER!"
Brightmore knocks him out.
We then heard a roar. It was a Martian.
"I am General Hajed of Mars. My baby is in this Earth village. If I don't get him back, you will all suffer!"
"I miss Duke," I said, "General, we are going to get him back."
"Very well." The General then picks up Emily's brother. "If my son does not return to me, this Earthling does not return to your planet."
The Martian disappears with Emily's brother.
"Great, now what," asks Miko.
"I did find a clue," says Steel, "someone left this card. It has the letter X on it."
"Dr. X," I said.
. . .
Steel managed to track the Martian's DNA to an old mine. We entered and saw a town underground.
"Welcome to Undertown," says Miko, "a place for aliens."
"Wow, like's crawling with them," says Arashi. Some aliens notice them and freak out. "Relax, I'm from Planet Zi."
"And I'm from Cybertron," says Steel.
"Oh, well, I hope the rest of you are better than the human that has the Martian."
"Where did she go," I asked.
. . .
We found Dr. X's hideout. She was attempting to do experiments on the Martian Baby.
"Let's see what else you can do," she said.
"Let her go, X," I said.
"Unit: E. Just what I need."
We attempted to approach her...
"I have a hostage," she said.
"Dr. X, if anything happens to that baby, the whole planet could be in danger," I said.
"For the sake of science, I don't care," says Dr. X. The Martian Baby then bites her. "You little..." Then Dr. X started acting weird and she falls asleep.
"Something to tell Ben about," says Miko.
. . .
We took Emily and the Martian Baby and called the General.
"Do I have to say goodbye," asks Emily.
"If you don't, the planet could die," says Steel.
"Besides, you don't want to separate him from his Mother, do you," asks Arashi.
"No, you're right."
The General then returns with Emily's brother.
"Are you okay," asks Emily's Brother.
"What about you, Lewis, you were abducted," says Emily.
"Yeah, but we talked. We both know how hard kids can be."
"This one proves that maybe not all Earthlings are bad," says the General, "and you child, have taken good care of my child. Therefore, here, with this device, you are allowed to visit us, if your brother allows it."
"Thank you," says Emily. The Martians then leave.

Those kids were picking on Emily again.
"Hey, 'I'm Weird', still got no friends?"
"Actually," I said, "she has plenty of friends." We intimidated them.
"Hey, anyone know where Raf's been the whole time," asks Miko.
